This simulation strips away the illusion of planetary stability, revealing that our entire ecosystem is a fragile byproduct of a very specific rotational speed. It effectively transforms complex geophysics into a visceral demonstration of how easily a world can be unmade.

What if we sped up Earth's rotation to 4 hours? - Universe Sandbox #spacesimulationAdded:
speed up Earth's rotation from 24 hours to 4 hours. All right, let's spin Earth six times faster. Earth normally has a slight bulge at the equator, about 21 km wider than the poles. At 4 hours, that bulge grows to hundreds of kilome. Earth stops looking like a sphere and starts looking like a squashed ball. The oceans shift toward the faster spinning equator. Polar oceans drain away while equatorial regions experience planet scale flooding. Coastlines are completely rewritten. The corololis effect becomes six times stronger, so weather patterns tighten into narrow bands. Heat stops moving from the equator to the poles as easily. The poles freeze harder. The equator cooks hotter. Days are now 2 hours long.
Nights are 2 hours long. Coastal ecosystems are either drowned or stranded kilome from water. Animals and plants struggle to adjust to the new rhythm. The habitats they evolved for no longer exist. Earth survives, but most life on it doesn't.
