This ingenious repurposing of consumer goods into a closed-loop system demonstrates that sustainable food production is more about ecological intelligence than expensive infrastructure. It is a compelling example of decentralized resourcefulness in action.

fish farm in swimming pools is half way running #carp #farm #offgridliving #homestead #pond本站添加:
So, I've got fish in my kids pools.
Both lots of carp are growing thick and fast by the looks of it. Got tomatoes in the first filter bed. I've also potted a load of water crest in one of the outdoor beds, primarily because I've started feeding the fish a lot now. So, we need to get plants growing in here and strip away as many nitrates as possible. This bed and this bed are going to be mostly full of mint though and probably this floating raft bed, too. These tanks are running through the tomatoes and some other herb beds as their primary filter. And we're going to be putting mint in some of them, too.
But probably as stuff like oregano, thyme, various other things that we can do as dried herbs. But in these beds, like I say, mint predominantly. Then that way we can get mint sauce production up and running ASAP. Probably going to order some herb plugs so I can get these two beds filled up ASAP as we've got the next baby coming very soon. So I want to get this done and get everything growing before that. And then hopefully by the end of summer, we'll have some stuff to dry and some jars of spices to sell. mentioned it in other videos, but the aim of the game for the farm now is dried produce as much as possible because I'm sick of having people get refunds because of courier companies not delivering on time. If it's a dried good, it's never going to go off, is it? So, should solve that problem completely. Using kids swimming pools and very basic tanks for growing the herbs and I should be able to do it pretty cost effective. So, as like everything else I do, pretty comparable with normal supermarket prices when I actually do get the herbs dried and in pots. That's if the moves doesn't cause the price of jars to go astronomical like everything
