Wait, does the NDA only protect confidentiality while we’re talking?

[00:00:00]A good client recently contacted me and said he was looking to acquire another business and he presented the non-disclosure agreement to me to review. The problem was it was a page long and it wasn't its length, but it was lack of content. It didn't say how long that confidentiality would last.

[00:00:25]Without any being certain on what that term would be. The worst thing about it is upon the termination of that agreement, does that now mean that any information you've learned during that process, that confidential period, is now no longer confidential?

[00:00:40]So it's sometimes it's not what's in the contract, it's what's not in the contract that matters. And with something as {quote} {unquote} simple as a non-disclosure an agreement, an NDA, there could be a lot of things that you don't expect to be missing from there.
