I DREAM BIG BUT DO NOTHING, the neuroscience behind why and how to fixAdded:
Hi friend, let's be real for a second.
Have you ever planned a massive project?
Maybe it's starting your Airbnb business or launching your coaching program, and then you did absolutely nothing about it. It's frustrating, right? But here is the truth. It's not because you're lazy or you lack discipline. There is a neurological cycle that's happening in your brain that is preventing you from pursuing your dreams. Today, I'm breaking down the signs of why dreaming big often leads to doing nothing. But more importantly, I'm going to tell you what you can do about it, so you actually can get to the things that you want to get. Let's go.
>> [music and singing] >> So let's get right into this. Much of what I'm going to teach you today, I use the same science to create this journal, the Manifestation Journal, which you can get for free at noelleinspires.com.
Go there right now, you can get this for free. You just cover the shipping. So let me get into this. You have the vision, you have the goals, but you're stuck in neutral. It's not because you're lazy, it's because your brain is literally hijacking your success. So today, I'm showing you the neuroscience of procrastination and how to rewire your brain to start building your empire right now.
Remember, I used to be broke, bankrupt, and living in my parents' basement with bad credit. Today, I'm a multi-millionaire. Let me tell you the amygdala hijack. Procrastination is not a time management problem. It's an emotion regulation problem. When you think about a big scary goal, like pitching a landlord for a corporate housing deal, your brain's alarm system, the amygdala, treats that task as a threat. It triggers fear, overwhelm, and anxiety. So instead of doing that thing, your brain has you do something safe, like scroll on the internet or turn the TV on. To escape that bad feeling, your brain has you do something else. It causes you relief, and that relief that you feel when you walk away, your brain sees as a reward. But here's the bad thing. When you do that, you are literally training your brain to avoid your dreams. Now, let me explain the disguises, productive procrastination.
This is the one that catches most of my students. Your brain doesn't want you to feel guilty for doing nothing, so it disguises avoidance as productivity. The first way it does this is perfectionism.
You're afraid the result won't be perfect, so you never start. Or you just keep doing the same things over and over. For example, tinkering with your logo or keep fixing your bio or different things that really don't mean anything for the business. You just spend a bunch of time fixing over and over and asking for different edits or revisions too. Instead of making the sales calls that will actually make you money, you spend 3 hours color-coding your notes or reading your 10th book on how to start a business. You literally do other things that make you seem like you're being productive, but it's not the actual harder thing that you need to do. You're avoiding the thing that actually will make you money, like making the sales call or calling back the client or sending out the proposal.
You do other things that actually seem like you're doing something, but you're really just procrastinating. And here is the trap. You feel busy, but your business has not moved an inch. You aren't avoiding the task, you're avoiding the feeling you think the task will give you. So now you know about the disease and the symptoms, let me give you the cure. So how do we break the loop? The answer is embarrassingly simple. Just start. But don't try to finish, just commit to 10 minutes. My first mentor taught me this, and it has worked for so many years. Make the task stupidly small. For example, don't think I'm going to write a 30-minute script going to make 20 sales calls. Just do this. I'm going to open a Google Doc and write for 1 minute. Or I'm going to call one person.
Simple. Stupidly small. Another thing, don't think I need to do an hour-long property walk-through. Just think, I'm going to put on my shoes and get in the car. Here is what I know. The dread of starting is almost always worse than the task itself. Once you break that initial resistance, your brain switches from threat mode to work mode.
You can rewire your brain for success.
Every time you push through 10 minutes, you are strengthening your discipline muscle and weakening the procrastination circuit. You are training your brain that you are a person of action. You literally can become a doer. If you're ready to stop dreaming and start doing, I want you to comment action below in the chat. And if you need a step-by-step roadmap to make sure your actions lead to real profit, make sure you subscribe to this channel and you grab a Manifest Journal for free at noelleinspires.com.
One of the easy ways to achieve any goal is to have just one goal that you are working towards. Yes, just one goal.
That is why the Manifest Journal focuses on just one goal in 100 days. You write the same goal down two times a day, in the morning and in the evening before you go to sleep. You actually make tasks that you are going to do towards the goal, and then you reflect on those tasks in the afternoon. Everything in the Manifest Journal was designed using neuroscience of procrastination.
Remember, I used to be the biggest procrastinator, and I was broke, bankrupt, with bad credit. I had nothing successful about me, and I created the habits and the mindset and brainwashed myself for success using journals just like the Manifest Journal that you can get for free at noelleinspires.com.
Another thing about dreaming big and having all of your goals be realized, something that I have actually done in my life, is it doesn't happen all at once. It's one goal at a time. And if you write down 10 goals and you try to achieve all of your goals at once, you're not going to be able to do it. As I mentioned earlier, you are going to do things in a simply stupidly small way.
Just having one thing at a time that you are working on, and before you know it, it is like you swam all the way to the other eyelid. But a lot of times you can't realize how far you swam when you're in the middle of the ocean and you can't even see how far you come.
That is why journals like this help you over and over. I have filled out so many of these journals, and I look back at all of the different goals that I have achieved, and it fuels even more success for me. I have helped so many students not just achieve all goals with real estate and business credit, I have achieved helped them achieve life goals, like losing weight and having better relationships. Anything that you want in your life, you can achieve. And big goals do not happen all at once. So get this journal, subscribe to this channel, and take yourself to the next level. I believe in you. So many people told me negative things about what I could not do, but they were absolutely wrong. No one knows what you are capable of achieving, and you can achieve many big goals because most millionaires started from nothing. Most people do not get their wealth from inheritance or from the lottery. So know that most millionaires were created by doing the work, taking action, and believing in themselves, which is mostly just how you see yourself with your mind. So again, subscribe to this channel, get this journal for free at noelleinspires.com, and I want to see all of your comments.
Action, type action below in the comment section. I will make sure I like it, and I will encourage you all the way. Why?
