The Division 2 Season 2 patch introduces significant talent nerfs that reshape the PvP meta, with talents like Killer losing 25-35% crit damage and Streamline dropping from 42% to 24% weapon damage in PvP, while talents like Measured paradoxically become stronger in PvP than PvE due to reduced weapon damage penalties (only 25% loss vs 30% in PvE) and minimal rate of fire reduction (only 3% less than PvE), making Measured and Optimist the new preferred PvP talents over previously dominant options like Flatline and Frenzy.

NEW SHOCKING PVP/PVE META NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT - Y8S2 IN THE DARK | Division 2 Patch Notes Review
Added:build better Dark Zone agents, uncle, which are in the building. And today, since we are waiting for season 2 to drop, let's cover all the changes that that are coming to the Dark Zone and conflict. And I think some of them are kindly interesting and you need [music] to know. So, first of all, they have made like 3300 and 50 changes. Most of them are trying to bring everything down, but there are some outliers who are kind shining, I guess, or getting out of line, maybe.
And as you see right now, lot of these talents are kind of receiving a nerf.
But there are couple talents which I want to cover actually strong. For example, and [clears throat] the nerfs kind of didn't touch them as much as other talents such as Flatline, who was absolutely ambush in PvP.
Close and Personal talent was not that terrible in previous seasons, and now it's still kind of decent. Only downside that it works uh in close range, but nerfs are kind of okay. 5% That's not a bad option. Okay, perfect. Savage Wolverine assault rifle received bigger nerf, but that's not that a big of a deal. For example, Flatline again, 15 and 20, 12 and 16. Kind of okay. It will work with Hard Breaker set. Some of them are from other hand receiving huge nerfs. Um let's go down in sync.
Already 55% lower damage. Killer you're losing instantly like 25% crit damage for normal version and perfect perfect version. Killer is on the brink of elimination for running for the best talent in PvP as a contender because optimist is one of the best talents actually again in the game. Normal one will give you 25% and perfect one 35%. So now you have to think if perfect optimist is worth uh more than killer and I have to remind killer can be activated only after the kill. Optimist will be for you all the time there.
But there are other talents which I think could take the spot.
I checked pretty much every change say this also also pressure point guys. I think pressure point could be one of the best talents to to run on your weapons if you love status effect builds hunters fury build open fusion ongoing directive eclipse protocol set. You are not locked behind one buff because look at this 12 and 16% for pressure point which will work with any status effect and say this is 16 and 20 and other talents will give you even less damage buff than this one.
So pressure point could be really really good. In my eyes it's good.
But I think the streamline which is not why and which no one talks about is actually oh yeah streamline. Look at this [ __ ] So normal streamline 42%.
Now it's 24 in PvP. 20 let's say such a huge nerf and normal one 20 and a perfect one 28 from 47.
20% weapon damage drop. Oh Oh my.
Oh my.
Look at this Thunder Strike. 14 and 18.
Pressure Point was like 12 and 16.
[music] So, not that big of a difference, but with that talent you can use pretty much whatever status effect you want together.
But yeah, a couple of these nerfs are kind of stupid in my eyes.
And this is one, guys. Measured. I think a lot of people going to use Measured.
Measured. Oh my goodness.
Look.
25% rate of fire, 25% minus 25 or 30 weapon damage. Yeah, you are getting 22% rate of fire. That's only by 3% less than in PvE.
And getting 20% and minus 20% weapon damage.
Which is again is a good thing. Your rate of fire is dropping just tiny bit.
And you're losing also less damage.
In normal game, you're losing 25% weapon damage and minus 30 with perfect apartment named as SMG. [music] Here only 24%.
So, apartment gains here, I think in my eyes, a buff. But the bottom half of magazine is losing 18% rate of fire, which is the same.
Which is the same >> [laughter] >> as normal PvE zone. And gains 26 against 30 in PvE, and 34 against 38. Measured, brother. Measured could be actually the best talent to use. And no one is talking about this one. Normal or perfect measure the apartment could be again one of the best PvP weapons in the game. I see the numbers so rate of fire is not dropping too much only 3% you over but at the same time you are losing less weapon damage with her first half magazine. I would even say this is better than PvE side.
This part is better for my eyes. Okay, second half is giving you little bit less weapon damage but the rate of fire is the same.
You are not losing more rate of fire. So it's the same you're slightly losing weapon damage.
And if I you saw how much weapon damage lost flatline killer talent.
I mean this is pretty much untouched talent for PvP. How this was not talked more about I don't know. From PTS reviews measure guys measure I I will instantly use measure.
When I catch this change after my eyes bleed for couple hours after reading all this mess I just couldn't believe that there is that they made these type of changes in PvP I like measure more than in PvE.
Like I said rate of fire is slightly slower but at the same time you are losing less weapon damage than with than in PvE.
Good trade off and in second half of magazine your rate of fire stays the same as in PvE and you're losing like 4% weapon damage. Only four not 20 Wait, 25.
>> [laughter] >> I mean, this this is insane. And this also applies to couple gear sets, guys.
I Frenzy again is not that strong in conflict anymore. Yes, you can run down enemies with empty magazine, but the downside of it you need 16 bullets now. You need 160 bullets in your magazine just to get 20% weapon damage and 20% rate of fire. For perfect Frenzy, 120 bullets.
Trade-off?
I don't know. 20% rate of fire, weapon damage without using shield. They're same, but the apartment is gaining like 30% weapon damage. Optimist can give you 35% weapon damage.
Even Flatline after nerfs is giving you 20 plus percent weapon damage. Um I don't know. I think Frenzy is not worth also. Frenzy received kind of nasty nerfs. So, yeah.
Couple talents. Uh rest of them you can check by yourself. I'm just checking all the main talents.
Um Intimidate Intimidate receiving is nothing but uh [ __ ] I was reading too much Clutch.
15 when you're below. Clutch is uh receiving also a buff in my eyes. You see, 15 and 20 normal PvP PvP 20 and 30, but it's still not that strong. Critical hit Reaper 3%. So, couple of them are getting buffs, but I Bloodsucker I really loved PV version more than this one. So, you all can gain only like with perfect Bloodsucker, you can gain almost 100% bonus armor only from three kills, which is really strong in my eyes.
And 22% from normal Bloodsucker, and that's almost 70% bonus armor from three kills, which is still decent. And that's only three kills. So, Bloodsucker is still strong.
Memento is really good in PV, but Bloodsucker can be stacked really quickly. So, these changes are kind of interesting to me. I want to see how they will play out. So, there are definitely couple of buffs.
Yeah, companion weapon damage is increased by 15, perfect 20, 4 18. So, not a huge nerf for companion talent.
Yeah. Definitely, we going to look for new meta. Maybe meta will go unstoppable force.
Stacks two times 12, that's 34. So, little little bit more damage losing Vigilance.
25 18 22 Wicked Wicked 12 16 14. So, these changes are kind of welcome. The gear sets also the Bulwark set is kind of interesting in my eyes to getting stronger. Whenever you or your shield take damage, 35% damage over both of our 10 seconds. Whenever you or your shield damage, it's now 30% amount over 12 seconds. So, I think Bulwark is kind of cool. So, yeah. There are a lot of changes. Couple of them are really interesting and I hope to see Uh you see the difference are kind of minor, those couple percentages, but if you will add up some gear set that is actually not stronger with weapon which is really stronger, you can gain new meta against weapons or talents who was the meta and now receiving a nerf. So, most likely I will use Lexington with um measured rather than uh uh flatline or killer talent.
So, measured or optimist will be my option to go now in DZ or even apartment. I will see how that will work and for the sets the same story. Lots of things going to change.
Bloodsucker, Memento talent, Adrenaline Rush. So, it will be really interesting which will outperform uh which talent or gun will outperform our old OG leaders.
So, yeah. This was really cool and interesting. Uh rest of the patch notes are kind of meh. Already I think you know about um escalation.
Uh to- token uh or how I say, recalibration um cost reduction. Now, you need only six uh tokens to recalibrate your gear pieces. So, you're capping only at six tokens.
Couple of modifiers are going away.
They're uh tricky in um in escalation. You're gaining exotic component from tier five and upwards by completing escalation mission. Nice addition. More rewards in DZ overall.
Getting keys, exotic component drops from the landmarks, caches, yada yada yada.
Uh the gear sets are really strong emphasis on the healer. I think we have already a lot of healer sets in my eyes. Better rework old sets or completely take couple sets away from the game or rebrand them, give new life to the sets.
The exotic weapons I don't know. Kadakus Kadakus is kind of tricky weapon to me.
>> [clears throat] >> But we will see. We will see how it will work after two PTS phases.
There were a lot back and forth discussions how this weapon should work.
So definitely we going to check how how it's now in live game. So yeah, I'm kind excited to see what talents are back in business. But in my eyes, I think Memento could get back in business in PvP dark zone or PvE dark zone. Blood sucker seems good. Clutch received a buff. Measured definitely strong talent to play with. Optimist will be as usual safe [snorts] safe option to go with.
Killer maybe not so much you are depending on the crit chance and okay and on kill. So you need to Uh there's a a lot going on. Flatline most likely no one going to use. You're taking also a bit of skills.
Uh frenzy the same story.
Uh so yeah.
What you going to lose the mic? Bye.
