Instead of going to all I don't you're going anywhere. Anybody that's with us have to cleanse themselves for it to go into nature.
Isolate yourself. Go isolate yourself.
Go let Go speak to God.
Go to sleep in a tent for 30 days in the jungle. Eat fruit. Cleanse your body and lay on the ground and connect your body to the earth and get some downloads for at least 30 days of the cycle of the moon. You know what I'm saying? So, at the I actually believe that that's that's powerful. And and when you do that, you will you will things will start to happen from within.
All these books that we hear You and I are agreeing on.

Right? It opens at the sunlight of the day, which is I guess a a good symbol for illumination, awakening, enlightening.
And when the sun goes down, it it closes its petals and it retracts under the water. But one of the things that people don't necessarily do, because they've never actually seen the lotus grow, is that the lotus actually lives in the nastiest, muckiest, filthiest place.
And so I believe that um spiritual attainment can occur anywhere.

Because the reality is that is when you are that is when you are tested and steel sharpens steel.
I truly believe that when we see the symbol of the lotus, we are seeing a a great teaching on how we must remain spiritually pure while living amongst decadence. You see where I live, right?
Yeah. You You came in, you see where I live. And um my greatest work is to work within my community. I don't have the luxury, I don't think we have the luxury to retreat someplace where the great the the largest numbers of our people are.
Um, and so I think that that's a powerful, um, lesson for me. Now, let let me be clear. I do also, people in our tradition do a lot of spiritual and and, um, physical fasting, um, and purification. So, I agree with him that that is so powerful, and I want to thank you for bringing it to these, um, airwaves, because a lot of, um, folks that are on Sonneteer's channel don't talk about it. So, so I want to say that that is powerful. So, it just needs to be said that, um, 85% of what you said, I agree with wholeheartedly.

And I know that when I talk about our people, I'm talking specifically about people of African descent and more generally about people on the planet. And I truly believe that with all of the dastardly, inhumane, barbaric things that have been done to our people, people that look like me and you, brother, somebody has to be about trying to rectify that. That's what I'm here for.
That is the work that I have been divinely ordained to do. And so, I can't do that in the jungle. I got to do that in the jungle of Harlem. In a place where crackheads walk in front of my house. I got to do it in a place where when I walk outside, the the hustlers have to say, "Good day, brother Hotep."
BECAUSE THE HUSTLERS SAY, "HOTEPU" to me because they recognize the work that I'm doing.

We have the youngest people on the planet right now, brother, that are veering the planet to oblivion.
So, the elders have to awaken. That's how I look at it. And it doesn't have to be that we do the same thing, brother.

Spirituality has less to do with color and more to do with the mentality of the human being.
Let us put that out there right now.
Spirituality is beyond what meets the eye.
Beyond the physical. It's the metaphysical. So, when you're talking about healing people spiritually, we cannot limit ourselves to melanated beings even and even specifically if we're talking about spirituality because spirituality talks about the metaphysical. We judge a man by his creed and not by his skin color. We cannot even specifically aim toward melanated people because we are living in the age where a male could be a female, a female spiritually.
And a female can be a male, a man, spiritually.
Someone can be Someone could look to be one thing and be a whole 'nother thing.
This is where you have the transgender thing going on right now. We are living in the end of ages. End of age, right?
Where spirits are flying cross and we don't know who is who. You don't know it. So, we talk First of all, let me say this. Spirituality is the study of the metaphysical, meaning that that goes beyond physical. So, if you're a spiritual teacher and a priest, then you cannot limit yourself to African-American or African people specifically at all. You can If you you can If you're going to heal humanity and humanity's spirit, it has nothing to do with color at all.
Number one, because it's spirit. And that's where we get messed up.
We cannot limit ourselves only to African people when we're talking about spirituality.
Well, let me say three things. First of all, I think it's interesting you made that comment when the only people I came here are people of African descent. But But you perhaps you've said that because the videos I see you have a lot of white people in the in the jungle with you. Um and so maybe you're speaking to them.

And so, I am not saying that other groups of people on the planet should not receive spiritual awakening.
I'm not saying that. I am not saying that you cannot have incredible people who are of those traditions, of those backgrounds that will receive spiritual awakening. I'm not saying that, either.
And I'm also agreeing with you that spirit actually is bigger, that transcends, it's larger.
It certainly it elevates beyond these these crude husks that we are wearing. I would agree with you on that. However, however, I believe that there must be someone, there must be some institutions, there must be some group of people that look to right the wrongs that were done over the course of the last four to 500 years. And I think that my my particular ministry is to people of African descent. That does not mean that if I found someone who was completely in Ma'at would not be someone that I would and and not of African descent that I that they would not be able to be part of my institution. That's not what I'm saying.
But my specific ministry, the Shrine of Ma'at, is specifically about the rectification of people of African descent. And so, you and I might see something a little different on that one.

You must understand that the only part that I will agree with him on is that Africans are the oldest people on the planet. The people who are perhaps the most wise on the planet because of the just by by um the the fact that we have been on the planet for longer than others, we actually have obtained great wisdom. And so I think that what I must do as a historian priest is to allow people to understand who they truly are. But we cannot then say that we must blame the African for what we did. This is nothing more but difficult rhetoric.

In addition to that, some of the people who were most culpable were the offspring of the European and the African.

Because after the European had done dastardly things and had children, the Africans wouldn't trust to work with them and the European saw them as their their miscegenist miscegenationist offspring. When I worked at the Schomburg Library, the Schomburg Library got a grant from New York Life Insurance. And we didn't know why they wanted to give us all this money out of the blue.

It was reported that they it had now been proved that they were they were built as an insurance company because they had insured and made millions of dollars at a time when millions of dollars is like billions of dollars in our enslavement.

Resource poor, there's almost nothing there that you want. Climate poor, have you been to London? London, the climate is is horrible most of it. It's all rain. It's like They are actually in the place that is resource poor, climate poor, people poor, the the smallest part of the planet, all of it, BUT THEY CONTROL EVERYTHING.
We have to now be in control. In the '60s, they used to say black power for black people, white power for white people, yellow power for yellow people, brown power for brown people. What they were trying to say is, let me be in in control of my own affairs. I don't want to be in control of other people's affairs.

But we're That gives us the power right now. We don't need a weapon. There'd just be a lot of dead bodies.

When we say fairness, when we say justice, to judge a person by their skin is not fair. That's not justice. To judge a man by his spirit and what he does is justice. That's fair. That's fair. For you to judge a man just because he's black and be like, "Oh, that's my brother, so I'm going to help him out." And I understand what you're saying even with white people. It goes for them, too. For them to do that to us is wrong, but for us to do that to them IS WRONG. SO, WE HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT those those standards and principles that we hold that we saying that they're not doing, when we get when we get the power, we must judge people and be fair and just and judge a man by who he is and not his skin color.
Um I just think that we need to make sure that we are dealing with justice because for [clears throat] 500 years Africans have been judged. And so in order for us to put things back into balance, in order for us to put thing to set things right, now it is time for the African to be in control of his affairs.
I'm not saying that I want to be in control of Europe.

It would be wrong to for Africans to go to be in control of the affairs of the European. It would be wrong for Africans to go to be in control of the affairs of the Asian.
I'm not talking about trade and commerce. That's different. I'm talking about being control.
And that is what has happened now.
Europeans are in control of the continent of Africa.
Uh >> [snorts] >> A- Asians that the Chinese are actually creating a a um are actually creating a system by which they are not in control using the military, but they're still creating a relationship where they are in control based on on financial and resource imbalances. You have to read um Howard W. French's book um uh uh China's Second Continent. Powerful about what China is doing in Africa.
So I I really do believe that um there's a lot for us to learn.
Um spiritually we have to not look at at the the time who the European and say that they are um inferior.
Um I think that some of that has become because the African has been deemed inferior for so long. It was a response to that. I don't believe that we actually believe that Europeans are inferior. I don't believe that.
But I do believe that it is time for the African to wake up and be at the forefront of human civilization. Why would we the forefront? Because the land mass that is our birthright is the wealthiest land mass.
That's the reason why the Europeans are there.
They control the continent of Africa.
It is a fact. Let me give you a few facts because I think that what he said sounds good, but you have to look at some facts. I want him to dispute Ken Saro-Wiwa.
Look at Nigeria and its oil and how Dutch Shell destroyed a movement and killed people in order to be in control.
Look at Ken Saro-Wiwa.
I want you to also look at what the what Belgium did to the Congo.
And then I want you to research who's still in control of the Congo.
So, let's be very clear that the European is in control of the affairs of people across the planet. For us to now say that race doesn't matter, they would actually appreciate that because all the people who are in control are European.
So, now for us to say they're the same as us, when we are the one the average African-American has 13 times less wealth than the average white family.
13 times wealth. We have less wealth now than we did 10 years ago, 15 years ago because the the housing crisis wiped out so much black wealth.
And we know that in the United States, how controlling housing is at least building wealth.
But there were laws that were created to prevent Africans from owning housing.
So, I want you to understand that if we were in control, we would be able to violate those laws. We are not in control.
That if you believe that we are in control, we are in control of ourselves spiritually, etherically.
But that control must be built and maintained in order for us to go to where we need to go. Now, >> a good building. Peace, family. Good bill. Good bill. [clears throat] Good bill. And >> [music]
