[00:02:37]>> Very good. You know, there the big big talk now is uh the statistics showing that a lot of people are delinquent.

[00:02:44]There's a lot of debt out there and they have statistics out about, you know, if they lose one paycheck, they're in big trouble. But it doesn't seem to affect the markets that much. The markets uh seem to uh you know, brush brush some of these negative things off, but uh that's the way markets work. That's not a rule against having those things, but uh they're dependent on how people react uh to to the news. And uh the the delinquencies are certainly there. And uh one might ask, well, oh, the government's totally irresponsible. They spend all this money. They owe all this money. Are they delinquent? You know, in a technical sense, no, they're not. You know, they have a little gimmick. What they do is when they they spend too much and they have debt and when their pressure is made and the Congress isn't isn't given permission, they figure out a way to to pay the bills at least with funny money. So the there is a lot of delinquencies out there but governments uh have this tool that uh instead of not paying one time I made a suggestion that what we ought to do is just pay the bills as the income comes in. You know people have to do that they uh they they can't they can't do it. They have to wait till the money comes in then they start to pay the bills. Governments don't have to wait to do that. Matter of fact, no matter how bad things look, no matter whether you know the national debt is 20 or 30 or 40 trillion dollars, they still do the same thing. They have a bipartisanship that always seems to uh, you know, at least to give token, you know, acceptance to the fact that, oh, the the money will be there. But uh and the main thing is is what we've talked about here so much and because it is a form of delinquency and what the government does I considered outright fraud and and moral and unconstitutional and that is you know the fraudulent and the counterfeiting of money. You know people people the founders actually believed in the death penalty for people that did that and uh but now now it's so sort of a a way of life. I'm amazed at even how the companies go along with uh you know tiding things over. I saw an ad the other day that was selling uh you know some goods on television and they say no payments for two years you know but I think I think there's always a gimmick involved there. The one big gimmick is that uh somebody's going to suffer and some somebody will benefit.

[00:05:26]So the government when they go into debt, yes, the bills get paid with funny money and some people benefit the military-industrial complex, the foreign policy. Right now, you know, they're working on bipartisanship in Washington to make sure that the Republicans and Democrats both support more money because they've been usually they've been borrowing money from one one place and put it in the other and they're they're looking that uh at at moving troops around there. they haven't let up a bit on on the foreign policy. They don't say, "Well, why don't we change our foreign policy and change our spending habits uh because you you know it wouldn't and and from our viewpoint it would not make us less safe and they claim well if we could do this it'll make make us safe and take care of the people." And of course there's a fallacy in that the delinquencies no doubt Chris I may finally catch up with the people and the system and that's what we're concerned about it's preventable but right now it doesn't look like it's preventable in the near future. It looks like it'll be preventable maybe the next go around after this one is replaced with sound money.

[00:06:44]President Trump reminded us once again not for the first time uh yesterday I believe it was on Hannity that this Iran war you know it was for Israel and uh he he named the Gulf nations after that and I don't know how it could have been for them they took the brunt bases are destroyed uninhabitable any case it wasn't for us uh this Iran war we get the bills the higher prices I read you uh just and you mentioned delinquencies I read uh from a could count on X hedgei. Um, federal student debt loan uh 90 plus days delinquent hits a new all-time high. Credit card delinquencies hit the highest level of all time uh new all-time high. US credit card delinquent, I'm sorry, credit card delinquencies are highest since 2011.

[00:07:34]Auto loan delinquencies 32-year high.

[00:07:37]We're being tapped out here as the president went for Israel and supposedly the Gulf nations to war and we're not getting away with this one because the Hormuz has been closed for almost 3 months now we're approaching. This is unprecedented which means the unprecedented bad stuff is coming and we're already hitting the delinquencies.

[00:08:00]All of this is the exact opposite of what the president campaigned to do with his red hat dancing on the stage. He worked so hard to get elected. Speech after speech after speech. America thought they were getting America first.

[00:08:14]Went for Israel. Gulf nations. We're getting the bills.

[00:08:20]>> You know, individuals handle this problem differently than the government.

[00:08:25]I mentioned in my opening statement, the government relies on fiat money, counterfeit money, and they print it up and they get away with this because the pain and suffering doesn't occur for a while longer and then it usually goes to the middle class. They can't defend itself. But there is another system that's prevailing. They've used it already and I think they'll use it a lot more. They've used it on some of the student loans. you know, once they hint that, oh, we'll delay your payments and then they play this, you know, the students eventually, if they're not going to go to jail or suffer a consequence, no. And the government and the politicians will never change their way. They want to buy votes uh with the spending and and these programs. And then they want to appease the uh voters by, you know, forgiving these debt. And that's what they're doing now. there.

[00:09:16]The much of this will be forgiven, but that won't handle the credit cards and all the mortgages and all the that goes on. But governments will continue to, you know, uh pretend they're taking care of taking care of the people, their constituents, and that is forgive the debt. This will help them. This will help them buy their groceries and not change the policy. Not even consider the policy. Not even to hint. Maybe maybe there's an explanation for this, an explanation that would help them find an answer. They really don't talk about that. That is just taboo because I tell you what, there's I, you know, the number of uh speakers of the house, you know, seems to be continuous because they they they're trying to solve a problem in a political system that doesn't work. it uh it it's something that uh eventually will lead to the need to uh re reconfirm that the founders were right when they said only gold and silver ought to be uh legal tender and that is uh not acceptable right now but more and more it's it's talked about and eventually something will have to happen and I think the greatest threat from a system that we have today is the fact that it creates It's class warfare, not only competition but actually warfare.

[00:10:45]And you see it in the streets today and the idea that well even in the voting system you see now the people so frustrated that you actually see uh you know communists being elected openly.

[00:10:58]But you know that doesn't bother me as much as some people thinks it should because I think it wakes some people up.

[00:11:05]What are we doing? and uh maybe they better look into this if they're electing communists in our big cities now to te you know take over and fix the problem. And yet we spend these trillions of dollars, literally trillions of dollars policing the world.

[00:11:22]And usually what we do is, oh, they have a communist in that country. Let's go arrest him. So we go and vend Venezuela and different countries. Oh, we'll pick up this communist. And they continually do this. And now, you know, they're talking about shifting things around and, uh, the Pentagon, uh, you know, is shifting money around, but then they have things always on the horizon, right? Right now, you know, there's they we're still involved in Ukraine. We're still involved in the Middle East, and uh, and we're still in it's definitely big time in Iran, but this the language has changed. uh you know uh uh the administration is claiming oh the war is is virtually uh over and they go on but what are they talking about they're talking about you know what are we going to do with this communist that is involved in Cuba don't you think we ought to arrest him like we've arrested some other won't that settle it and uh it goes on and on because they will fail to live up to the truth of what the monetary system should be like and how it's been abused and how the people are complacent and have been ill informed by our politicians and our government education system. So, it's a big job. But in spite of it all, I still remain optimistic that there are vehicles to get the truth out. And I believe the large number of American people are really, when they understand it, are favorable for to liberty over totalitarianism.

[00:12:54]Chris, >> that's right, Dr. Paul. and and I would say that uh that election of President Trump, people were expecting that we were going in a direction of liberty. So I think the American people overall have their heads on straight, you know, and want the right things, but we can't get a government that'll do it. And the a reason is, and maybe this will help some people, the government is they're masterful at uh narrative creation. You know, we all know, we've all seen parents when they have children crying, they'll distract. They'll be like, "Look over here. Look over here." And the kid will, you know, eventually stop crying and maybe maybe even start laughing. The government does the same thing over and over with the American people. They go from one ripoff to the next by saying, "Look over here. Look over here." Now, the government though, they don't make us laugh. They use fear. That is the most powerful emotion that they appeal to. I mean, we could go back a hundred years, but we'll just start with co right after as that was falling apart, they went into Putin's going to invade, you know, all of Europe. The fear that was created and we were ripped off for hundreds of billions of dollars and Putin's not invading Europe, you know, and now we're on to the president keeps repeating on a non-existent nuclear weapon in Iran. So they go from one fear to the next, one ripoff to the next, but eventually it's going to stop working and this hormuz is going to hit us harder than all the other ones because the other ones, you know, you could just it's something that happens out there.

[00:14:33]This oil is a part of every aspect of our life and you know we're now 3 months with this being uh closed off and we may hit the time where the American people aren't into you know look over here look over here anymore. They're going to be mad enough to where real change is going to have to happen. When that is, whether or not that's coming anytime soon, who knows? Nobody knows the future. But eventually their distraction and moving from one to the next is going to fail.

[00:15:06]>> Very very good. You know there's more talk uh in the papers uh today about gold but not exactly in a format that we talk about it. And uh one thing is is that Trump is interested too. He he went to Fort Fort Knox or talked about Fort Knox and he was uh he was saying you know and he was making fun.

[00:15:29]And he says, you know, and and some people some some some people say, "Oh, we'll do that if the gold is still there." It was during inspection and actually being silly about the whole thing. But you know there is a analogy that uh I heard heard used so often in the in the 70s when we went uh bankrupt and reneiged on our gold uh promises and um they they used to uh use an an ed agricultural example and that is don't don't use up your seed corn. You know, traditionally, it's probably done a little differently today, but a farmer would have to raise uh uh raise crops and then they want to get the seeds to plant Yeah. next year's crops. But if you have some left over, those are the seeds. You have to save the seeds. But, uh there there's a temptation to sell it all short and have no seed corn for the next year. And they use that in in money, too. And you know, I I think of the gold at Fort Knox sometimes as uh the seed corn and we not too long ago and there still hangs around that oh well we we'll just uh we'll just uh revalue the go gold if it's not $42 an ounce which is a silly number they say is there. what we'll do is revalue it to thousands couple thousand dollars. Then they will have trillions of dollars that they will be able to use and go out and spend this money. And I I think that's like using using the seed corn instead of allowing it to be used in the private market and and building uh you know and improving our liberties and and improving the monetary system. Uh it it's doing the opposite. it contributes to that because some even suggested well when we do this we'll we'll do we'll have if we revalue a gold and have all this uh paper profit we could take that and buy uh crypto and uh even say uh the world uh I don't think many people are pushing this now but they say but you can never touch it and uh that that is not a good thing on money should be touchable in exchange change because it's the markets determining what whether the government can be trusted or not. So it it's a it's a a mess because we did not follow the advice and the morality on money that was invited that we were in informed of by the founders and now we're seeing the climactic end to this and this does not look good because of the thing that I just said a little while ago. The big danger is that uh violence can break out between the ones that seem to benefit. That's what one thing uh that I I think is allowing the politicians to use even brag I'm communist, I'm a socialist and get elected because the people have been conditioned uh to say you know free enterprise and capitalism you know free market uh that they're so bad they hurt the poor people which is a unadulterated lie because it isn't that it's it's it's you know interventionism. It's inflationism. It's corporatism. It's deficit financing. It's the abuse of the constitution. All these things are the cause. And yet people keep saying you know that we have to keep keep doing this and we will you know eventually be able to uh uh you know work our way out of it. And uh yet that is going is causing anger and there'll be a lot more anger. And that's some of the reason though and you sort of have to sympathize with people say well you know I you know they they agree that there is this division and the system has has caused a problem but what they need to go is one step forward. Why did this particular system bring about this havoc? Is it because we had too much liberty or too much government? And that's really the question we ought to ask and do our best to answer it. Chris, >> very good. Dr. Paul, I'll finish up with my closing thoughts. Uh, yeah, you know, we we discuss about the empire and how we're bearing the costs and the empire wants another 500 billion added to their trillion dollar budget. It's amazing even saying these numbers, uh, but it's true. So, they fail constantly and they want raises constantly. It's the exact opposite of the real world that we have to live in. You want to raise, you better perform, you know, uh they're the opposite. They fail and want more money and they get it because they pay they they counterfeit it if they have to. Uh obviously this cannot continue. Uh if it were possible that uh this type of situation could continue then all the empires of the past would still be in existence today or at least some of them. There are none. Empires have a 100% failure rate. So the empire of America has to fail just like the others. And we could, you know, we're living through it. We can see it. We talk about it. We explain it. This is what it's like. Even yesterday as the president was in China, but President Xi even pointed out that we're a declining nation. You know, we mentioned the Thusidities trap and and Trump, you know, he tried to paper it over saying no, he he was talking about Biden. He didn't mention Biden's name. And it's not just Biden. It's not just Trump.

[00:21:16]It's all the presidents before them, too, for the last hundred years. They all did it to us and to themselves and are bringing this on. Now, fortunately, I think the American people want different. We just can't get it. We have zero control over our government. But, you know, the more that we talk about this stuff, point out their lies and their deceptions and their failures, uh the the better it'll be when this empire is finally done. Uh and and that's the hopeful part that uh we hang on to.

[00:21:49]>> Very good. You know, there was announcement just uh yesterday or the day before that the troops that were scheduled to by the thousands of American troops, they were uh scheduled to go and participate in NATO in in Poland and all of a sudden Hexath, you know, cancelled that and uh it's not going to follow through. Exactly where those troops are standing this minute, I don't know, but they're they changed policy, but there was no discussion really. there was no no talk about uh uh what was what what was happening in in the Congress and uh and that that's not unusual because they're not exactly open to what is happening. But the question is is why are they doing this? Because they're not giving up. It's not a move in our direction. It say, "Oh, well, they probably think that's a silly thing to do, sending all those troops to Poland and we're not at we're not at war with Poland or we're not going to Oh, we could we're going to join Poland and fighting somebody." But no, it's it's uh it's just totally unnecessary and and uh but the big argument is that the Iran Iran war is just sapping all our strength. We're moving troops around.

[00:23:07]You still hear talks that are very dangerous talks and innuendos about uh what we might do in China and uh you know with China and Taiwan as as as well as in Cuba. Uh you know they talked about arresting the leaders in Cuba and putting them in American prisons. Well, I tell you what, that that doesn't make it make any sense. and that because they're shifting troops around. It's not a plan to go in d direction because the Republicans and the Democrats now are gearing up and really putting pressure on uh the remaining uh minority, conservative, fiscally in uh involved people who want to cut back uh or they're getting together and put pressure and and this was predictable from the very beginning that they have to have another bill passed because of uh you We've used up we've been shifting funds around there and we used up all this money for training and all this. So, we need to do it. So, it's desperate. You know, we have we have to do it. And uh it it's it's a you know, the the people have to be secure. They have to be taken care of. And they go on and on. So, the foreign the uh the foreign policy has not changed. There's good people out there talking about the right thing to do, but that are in the majority. And that's what uh that's what we have to continue to do because I think there's an opportunity when this thing comes unglued that uh what'll happen it will be uh uh uh un unglued where something will have to replace it. The goal right now the immediate goal is to try to explain it to the American people why they shouldn't go in the direction of electing communists and socialists and authoritarians. We have enough of those kind of people in our government already. They call themselves other no names, but they're doing the same thing.

[00:25:09]So, I think the uh responsibility is on the American people to make sure they get this message and understanding and influence our members of Congress. And I do want to thank all our viewers for turning in today to the Liberty Report.
