USA Soil Was Soaked in the Sweat, Tears, Blood & Stolen Wealth of Enslaved Africans!Added:
America calls itself the land of freedom, but for millions of black people, freedom never existed. For more than two centuries, slavery was legal in the United States. Human beings were bought, sold, whipped, and treated like property. Over 12 million Africans were forced to cross the Atlantic Ocean. Many died before they ever reached American soil. Families were torn apart forever.
Names were erased. Cultures were destroyed. The wealth of America grew from stolen labor. Cotton plantations generated enormous profits. Banks financed slavery. Businesses profited from human suffering. Politicians protected it. Men, women, and children worked from sunrise to darkness under violence and fear. Mothers watched children sold away. Husbands disappeared from wives. Escape often meant torture or death. In 1865, slavery officially ended, but oppression did not. Jim Crow laws enforced segregation. Lynchings spread terror across the South. Chain gangs and prison labor replaced plantations for many black Americans.
Even today, the legacy remains in prisons, in inequality, in communities still fighting to be heard. This history is painful.
But silence does not change the truth.
America was built by many hands, including the enslaved hands history tried to erase.
To understand the present, we must confront the past because a nation cannot heal from wounds it refuses to acknowledge.
