Pressure on Steelers, Kaden Wetjen amid competition with Eli Heidenreich?

[00:00:00]The big conflict that you see here is between Kaden Legion and Eli Hidenrike.

[00:00:03]And particularly because, you know, Eli Hiding Reich is a guy that when I was looking at him in the draft class and I was saying like, "Hey, this would be a really good seventh round pick for the Steelers." It was in the same vein that I thought I looked at Kaden Weeds and say, "Hey, this would be a really good seventh round pick for the Steelers."

[00:00:18]And one's a fourth and one's a seventh.

[00:00:20]Now you have a situation where he's pretty I think he's going to compete with Eli Henrike for a for returner positions. And you know, Ouijan, that was his thing. He wasn't a supreme receiver. He wasn't even like a a big utility receiver for Iowa. I'm not even sure there's a future for Kaden Ouijan to be a fourth wide receiver in the Steelers offense. Do they find a role for both of these guys? Is Eli Hiden more like a gunner or a coverage guy on special teams than a returner? Uh, but that that could be a conflict that you know if you if Eli Hiden beats out Kaden Legion and you know you have to stuff him on the roster, you basically drafted a return man who you're not you using as a return man and isn't really useful in any other part of your offer. You're like you just taking up a roster spot and roster spots are extremely valuable to try to hold for guys who can help you [clears throat] on game days. And so if you're doing that with Kaden Ouijan, you know, you know, you know, is is that really worth it? And then you have the question, do you cut Kaden Ogen? And then if you cut a fourth round pick in his rookie season, that that to me is a big miss. You know, when you cut sixth and seventh rounders, even fifth round, like, okay, you know, it didn't work.

[00:01:30]But a fourth rounder is like your your guy that you're like, hey, he snuck through day two somehow. Let's get this guy.

[00:01:37]>> Was a fourth round pick. Like that's that's what we're talking about. Nick Herbig was a fourth round pick. You know, even even Dan Moore was a fourth round pick and that guy started for four years. You're talking about guys that are getting that are getting paychecks should be getting paychecks very soon.

[00:01:51]You want those guys to contribute. I'm not sure that Kaden Ouijan does. And if he if he gets cut because they're just overloaded with with with guys at that position that are better than that, you look back at that and you say, "What were we thinking there?
