This video provides a crucial reality check on the physiological risks of rapid weight loss, shifting the focus from sensationalist milestones to sustainable, medically supervised health. It effectively deconstructs the "comparison trap" by emphasizing that bio-individuality and safety must always precede speed.

He Lost 100lbs In 6 Months No Stall: But There’s A Catch 🧐Añadido:
I'm sick. You get what you get.
I just saw a post that just blew me away.
And I'm going to share it with you because I Maybe it's because I'm not feeling well, but I just don't have a lot of patience for a lot of shenanigans right now.
Also, side note, why is it always a John? Is John like the equivalent of Karen now? Is that what's happening? The last time something like this happened, it was a John. Why is it always John?
John says, "I don't think I've seen a single post about stalling from people who have used Zepbound according to the Eli Lilly schedule.
Meaning people who titrated up every 4 weeks regardless of what happened during those 4 weeks.
The low and slow approach is not for everyone. It depends on how much you have to lose and your commitment to the medication, calorie deficit, and exercise."
We'll come back to this because while this is a valid point, it doesn't contribute to what he's about to say.
"In my case, I lost 100 lb in the first 6 months.
We're going to come back to this.
There's a lot of negative opinions on this page about moving up in dose. I'm glad that my doctor and I took a more aggressive approach.
If that's the Eli Lilly schedule and you're proclaiming that it that's what it should be and everybody should do that, then why is it a more aggressive approach?"
"Instead of waiting to stall, I moved up proactively.
And in 16 months, I've never stalled."
Now, for context, this person was 333 lb and they are now 153 lb. and they lost 100 lb in the first 6 months. So, I imagine that he he thinks that he did something with this post.
>> [snorts] >> Here's the thing and I said this to him, so I'm just relaying it to you.
Any doctor that would allow you not not only encourage you, but allow you to lose 100 lb in 6 months is not a good doctor and I'll say it again for the people in the back who maybe can't understand me cuz I'm a little froggy cuz I'm sick.
If your doctor allows you or encourages you to lose 100 lb in 6 months, they don't care about you.
Do no harm? I'm sorry, what? Is anybody looking out for John's long-term health because that's not healthy weight loss.
Not to mention, I don't even want to know what's going on physically. Like, is he straight-up looking like a melted snowman because I look like a melted snowman.
I lost 130 lb and I did not do it that fast.
It's posts like these that are incredibly short-sighted that other people will compare themselves to and then be upset that they didn't lose 100 lb in 6 months.
We don't know anything about his nutrition. We don't know anything about his exercise. What Did he just go off the rails and starve himself for 6 months and and do a bunch of cardio every day? Cuz yeah, yeah, that's that's not healthy. Okay, I went to go see if he had made any previous posts and he said he had zero side effects the entire time in his journey.
Of course, you titrated up every month.
There was nothing holding you back other than your doctor not monitoring your weight loss. Like what the crap? I would not be surprised if his doctor was just like he had he didn't see him in 6 months. He was just like, "Okay, yeah, come back and I'll check on you in 6 months." and just up the dose every 6 months. Again, this does not make a good doctor.
Um no side effects, never stalled, lost 176 lb in 14 months.
That's almost 13 lb per month.
But, I understand because I understand how GLP-1s work that that's not how he was doing it.
I'm sure that if we were to look at a spreadsheet of his weight loss, a lot of it was at the beginning and then it became normal weight loss right as he's, you know, got smaller.
But, I I mean, this is not a flex. This is not a I didn't stall because I used the Eli Lilly way of doing things.
Uh okay.
You were obviously a good candidate for the medication because you had no side effects. So, first and foremost, off the rip, don't talk to me, John. Don't say a word. If you have not spent one weekend in the bed after injection with extreme fatigue and joint pain and nausea and diarrhea and constipation, if you have not experienced sulfur burps, you do not get to talk to me or anyone else about "Well, this is what I did and I didn't have a stall."
You can take that GLP-1 and shove it right up your I'm sorry. I'm sick.
And my patience is completely shot. But I mean, come on. Seriously?
>> [snorts] >> And the tone of the of the post, like there were no other posts before this.
So, it was all him on his own or him in another group or whatever.
He lost all this weight and he's like, "Oh, yeah, look at me. I Look I'm awesome." Listen, John, we're all happy for you that you're in a healthier body.
We're not happy that you did it in an unhealthy way. And as a matter of fact, you make us look bad in the GLP-1 community, so please stop telling people what you did.
Please stop.
I'm not one to, you know, say, "Hey, you know, sometimes things need to be censored." But in this specific instance, his results are so far out of the norm that it Yeah. I I think that you should just keep it to yourself and be happy and go about life. Why are you now in the support groups telling other people that Well, you know, this is just my doctor took a more aggressive approach.
No, your doctor let you run rampant and and wasn't looking out for you long-term.
And who knows what kind of problems you're going to have because you're losing weight that fast. You did not put the weight on that fast. You're not supposed to lose it that fast.
Are you going to have gallstones? Are you going to have pancreas issues? Like, your body needs time to adjust. And this is why I get so frustrated with people in the support groups that are like, "I only lost 2 lb this month." Half a pound a week? That's fantastic. You're not gaining weight. You need to put it in perspective.
But so many of us have been conditioned and just completely burned by diet culture that if we're not losing 5 lb in 5 minutes, then we're all freaking out.
And then we see one person, like John, who comes to the forefront and they're like, "I happen to be a super responder to this medication, and all you other guys are doing it wrong."
If I had done what John did, even as a good of a responder as I was, certainly not to that level, but I mean I would say that I was a good responder to the medication. I had side effects like a normal person.
But I'm just saying, like, I don't even know what I'm saying at this point.
Here's the important takeaway.
Each person is an individual, and this is exactly what I said to John.
Each person is an individual.
It's important to set realistic goals and boundaries.
There is no reason to lose that much weight in 6 months.
I mean, sure, if you're doing it, you know, if you're doing it, and you're good to go, and you don't care if you're going to have to have your gallbladder removed or pancreas issues, or let's say you lose 100 lb in 6 months, and you're all hotshot thinking you're great until you end up in the ER and they're like, "Hey, we're going to have to take you off this medication because your body is completely shot because whoa, what were you doing? Who is your primary care doctor?"
And then, what are you doing? You're gaining the weight back.
Everyone is an individual.
There are some people who will titrate up every 4 weeks. They will meet their goal and they will do fantastic. And you know what? Those are awesome people.
There are some people who will take their time and lose the weight slowly and they will stay on each dose as long as they're losing weight because they understand that for many of us, this is a lifelong medication.
And they will do great and they will reach goal. And those people are awesome.
There are some people who will get online and be like, "Here's what I did and here's everything you're doing wrong and I never experienced a stall."
Those people, not so awesome in my book.
Work with your doctor.
Talk to your doctor.
Closely monitor what you are doing and the progress you are making. Do not compare yourself to people like this that claim ridiculous results. Okay? They I can tell you 1 million percent they are in the minority. And if you compare your results to to results like that, you will you will be disappointed, frustrated, upset with yourself when in actuality, you could be doing everything right.
Just remember, not everything you see online, not everything you see in a support group is good information.
Sometimes, people will have extraordinary results.
They may also pay an extraordinary price that you never hear about because I can assure you he's not going to post an update a couple months from now if he has bought gallstones or they take him off the meds because of pancreas issues, right? Like we're never going to hear any of that.
We're only going to hear the other part.
And it's important that you keep that in mind. I hope you enjoyed this video.
Give me a thumbs up. Let me know down in the comments below how are you doing?
Is your doctor closely monitoring you?
Are you one of the many people who has a doctor that actually cares about them and has said, "Hey, you're losing too much weight or you're losing weight too fast. We need to slow it down. Let's up your calories. Let's up your protein.
Let's up your fiber. Are you reaching your fiber goal?"
Let me know in the comments down below.
Thanks for hanging out with me while I'm froggy.
Let's get froggy in the next video.
>> [sighs] >> And as always, be kind, rewind.
