On Genre, Storytelling, and Connecting with Readers

[00:00:00]I I think um as a a purist, I would you know, there's fiction and non-fiction.

[00:00:05]I've done a couple of biographies like like um the authorized biographies of Elizabeth Elliot.

[00:00:18]>> Okay. Pretty much in the uh the what [music] we would say is the um spiritual space, you know, of of human beings' relationship with God. What does [music] that look like? How does that play out for the benefits of others in everyday life? That's good. Yeah. And And the key is for any kind of any genre is storytelling. We all love a good story, right? You know?

[00:00:41]>> And that is I think what people are are hungry for as long as the story is illustrative [music] of some underlying deep truth we can all connect with.
