[00:00:22]Hey everybody, Walt to Wonders. Buckle up, strap in. We got a hard-hitting, pull no punches, no sugar coating it, no rainbows, no sunshine. I'm just going to give it to you and give it to you straight. We got a good one to unpack it today. Welcome to the show. I hope everybody's doing great. Let's jump back on the Moto Merry-Go-Round and examine the good, the bad, and maybe a little bit of the ugly.

[00:00:43]>> No, no, no. Somebody's got to read between the lines and look between the ruts. We've got ruts to look through today. Welcome to the show, man. This is going to be a good one. We're going to unpack it Kickstart Kenny. Can you believe it? You know, the first thing that comes to mind for me is when we first saw Kickstart Kenny searching for a team and he melted the internet with basically an Instagram post. Like, what color do you guys think I should ride? And, you know, he went with the Suzuki deal. And, you know, I've said it since the beginning. This was a negotiating table master plan to see who wanted to pay him the most amount of money. Because at the time, when he took that Suzuki that dated on the verge of collapse, there was rumors that Suzuki was pulling their motocross program from the professional ranks.

[00:01:32]They had no more factory effort. And for all intention intents and purposes, they still do not. But then here comes Progressive Insurance.

[00:01:40]And they paid that price tag. So, I still believe with every fabric of my being, Kenny did not choose that Suzuki because he really liked the bike and he had a history with it. No, he did not.

[00:01:53]He picked that bike because he got paid.

[00:01:56]Now, I think he did have history with the bike over at RCH, but it wasn't all rainbows and sunshine uh while he was there. So, you know, one thing's for sure it is that he's made this deal work out really well. Now, here's the here's the big challenge and we're going to cut some polling here in a minute. [00:02:26]There's never been a more important time in Moto history to get centered. Answer rounds like my new Moto people were iron can sharpen iron. We're going to sharpen a little iron today and invite the Moto community into the conversation and do some bench racing. The only show on YouTube that's actually a doing that. Now, the reality is this.

[00:02:47]This is getting really crazy because I believe when Kenny took that payday, he was happy just to be able to still get a payday, still be at the races. When he pulled the win off this the surprise win after coming back from almost losing the arm that in in a and of itself was like, we've done it. We've done we've checked the box. We've done the impossible. But he's about to do the impossible again and it's getting really interesting as this one plays out. Because this is a tricky tightrope to dance for Kickstart Kenny. Because the reality is this. I'm not sure he even believed that he could pull this one off. And he's about to do it. Now, in the back of his mind, I'm sure in interviews he's like, >> always thought I could do it and I wouldn't be out there unless I thought The reason these pro riders, the Eli's and these other guys on the tail end of their careers say that they they wouldn't be out there still unless they thought they could still, you know, win races and and contend for championships.

[00:03:48]They have to say that. Why you ask?

[00:03:49]Well, of course I'm going to tell you because that's how they get sponsorship dollars. If they came back and said, well, I'm just going to be stoked if I can, you know, maybe get a podium here and there. How much spo- if I'm your agent, yeah, my rider thinks that he might be ABLE TO GET NO, MY RIDER thinks that he can win and they can get podiums. And so, they have to say that.

[00:04:10]They have to say that to get paid.

[00:04:13]That's in fact why they're saying it.

[00:04:15]Now, this is where things get really, really interesting.

[00:04:20]Is Kenny's now right in the in the championship hunt. Hunter's imploding and Kenny's coming on strong. But he still has to mentally prepare himself to go negotiate the rest of this season and not get the cart in front of the horse.

Last but certainly not least, Mark me 4 crosses the finish line, lights the candles, gets the Bubba neck burn, and comes in with, Kenny, as long as he doesn't stall the motor. Can you imagine that? That would be horrific if he lost the championship due to having to kickstart the bike. Boom, there it is there.

[00:07:19]This will be talked about for ages, long after Kenny retires. This would be a massive, massive comeback. We've seen some comebacks that have been pretty phenomenal. But I've been I mean, I've been around in this sport since back in the day >> [cheering] >> it was hardcore pyro, punk rock, and chicks. And I'm having a hard time even remembering when there was a comeback that was quite this significant, right?

[00:07:49]I've been in and around the sport for 25 years. I've dating myself even saying that. But, you know, I've been following the sport and participating in the sport for a very long time.

[00:08:02]And this is getting really like probably one of the biggest Cinderella stories ever witnessed in human history. And final thoughts. I come to you as a friend, as a content creator, as a Moto guy who wants to see you not only win on the track, off the track. Understand the waters you're swimming in now. They're shark-infested. Kickstart Kenny, welcome to the swimming pool, dude. Dude, this is this is it. This is your moment. It is here and we're all witnessing it and most of us are cheering for you. The polling revealed that everybody wants you to do this. I know for you, you have to keep your head on straight. Luckily, you are now a mature guy. I think a young Kenny would be like, yep, I'm going out at checkers, wreckers, it doesn't matter. You feel like you've already won it and in fact, you actually have. But now you have a chance to do the absolute impossible. And that's why Walt is going to be here to blow the lid off it every step of the way because it's not only what we need, it's in fact what we deserve.
