Orlando Weather Forecast: Tracking rain and stormsAdded:
next 24 hours, we could see the most rain we've seen in weeks. And Fox 35 Storm Team meteorologist No Bergen is tracking it all.
>> So last night, Laurel said that the main threat for today was wind. Is that >> Yep.
>> Uh that and hail. Actually, the hail you may have seen over the weekend and from Friday. Remember, we've had several days of really big hail. And honestly, hail has been the big part of Valuchia Countyy's weather story the last four days. Uh every afternoon we've had large hail fall across our east coast. Now, I don't think everybody's going to see severe storms tonight. It's only going to be like one or two or three, but there will be some storms through the evening, especially on our coast. See Daytona, some dark clouds offshore. Big storm just went out into the ocean from Flaggler County. Temperatures right now, 86 in Orlando, 87 Ocala, 88 in Tampa. A lot of the clouds today holding the temperatures lower on the high-res visible satellite. Notice we've got a good deal of clouds overhead. But what I want you to look at is over here. That's the weather for tomorrow. We've got a lot of storms and a lot of rain on the way for your Tuesday. It's been a busy couple of days for hail. Again, hail's been the big headline. We've had large hailstones every afternoon from Friday through yesterday and probably again tonight. But look in the Gulf. Low pressure south of New Orleans and a lot of storms. That's the weather for tomorrow. It's not tropical. If this was August or September, maybe it could turn into a tropical depression, but it's not. Uh, but we've got a big area of disturbed weather in the Gulf that's going to come across Florida tomorrow.
And on the Colorized satellite, you can see that right across the central Gulf, a lot of big thunderstorms. So, that's on the way for tomorrow. But for tonight, best chances for rain and storms are east of Orlando through the evening. Further to the north, we've got some downpours that went through Flaggler Beach and Orman Beach. They're moving offshore though. Heads up in the Dr. Phillips area. A little shower coming through out of Windermir in the next few minutes. But where I'm looking at is in Bard County. Uh the area circled in this magenta, what we call a seabbze collision is likely. We just went through the fall and winter. So you may be new to hearing that lingo thrown out on our weather report. We're going to say that pretty often in the summer months. Remember a seabbze collision, Atlantic seabbze and the Gulf seabbze or outflow from another thunderstorm. They collide and they pop up big new thunderstorms. So in this area, I expect there to be big storms in the next hour or so uh that really start to get going.
Temperatures tomorrow a lot lower because the clouds and the rain mid to high 80s, but there's going to be a lot of humidity and a lot of moisture. So, let me pick things up at 5:00 a.m.
tomorrow. In the morning, we're going to watch northern counties for some big storms and downpours. Palm Coast, Daytona, the later portions of GDO, Brooks, and Jess would be tracking some big storms for you tomorrow. Daytona Beach, Orman Beach, Flaggler Beach. Now, tomorrow, uh, it's not going to be sunny at all really a good part of the day, but there's enough of wind energy in the atmosphere that any of these storms, especially on the leading edge here, could produce some large hail or damaging wind gusts. It's not a severe weather outbreak. We're not going to have 60 60 towns get large hail tomorrow, but I do think some will. So, some hailstones and a couple of high wind gusts as these storms move south.
Here's 3:30 Tuesday, but notice through the evening, we've got even where it's not heavy, there's rain. In fact, this time tomorrow, it might be raining in most places. So, for the drought, that's good news. And it's kind of a wet and dreary Tuesday evening. We might even have some downpours that continue through Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Wednesday, not nearly as much in the activity, uh, but still a couple of downpours in the afternoon and evening. So, for tonight, we'll watch the East Coast. Tomorrow, it's everybody. High chance of thunderstorms and then things will clear out Thursday.
Things get more tranquil, quiet. Typical temperatures near 90 heading into the weekend.
>> All right, Noah, thank you.
