They're here.
>> Welcome back to Scene Invaders. This is episode 483. I am Brad from Canada.
That's Carly.
>> Hello.
>> And who's that?
>> Coach is back.
>> Coach is back from his Sojourn and he's going to tell us about all his adventures of watching television and all these wonderful things. Welcome back, coach.
>> I I'm glad to be back. Brad, you will be very proud of me. Um Carly, not so much, but >> Oh, I'm trying.
>> When we get there, we'll get there.
>> Oh, okay. Okay.
>> Oh, I think I know. I think I know.
>> I I don't know.
>> Okay.
>> U Well, S coach made his triumphant return. I don't know how I tried to spin this into fantastic entrances from movies and television and that's what we're going to talk about. What would you say it was like a debut, an entrance, a return? I know the Twitter people had a lot of questions u about what do you mean return? Like are they established already or are they like first time you see them? And I'm like I didn't think that far ahead.
>> U we just want responses. We don't care what you say.
>> So, Carly threw it out there and we got responses and questions and everything, but we're still going to have some fun with it. So, Carly, if you don't mind, as is, as every week, she picks all the good ones and some of the bad ones. I'm not including or excluding anybody. Most of mine are bad, too. So, uh, here we are with our Twitter shoutouts.
>> All right. Uh, we have Critter KS. He says, "Kaiser Sosay from The Usual Suspects has got to make that list. That reveal was Chef's Kiss."
>> It was.
>> Have you seen it yet, Carly?
>> I have not seen it. I'm just going to agree because I've heard that it's great. I mean, listen, I know the reveal. I know the twist. So, >> I personally prefer the um >> scary movie version >> with Officer Doofy.
Yeah.
>> Yeah, that was actually pretty cool.
>> Let's see here at Mike D. He says, "This wasn't a reveal, but it's still an iconic shot that that is etched in my memory forever." And that is Drago in Rocky 4, I guess, when he's entering the ring.
>> Heck yes.
>> Yes. And dare I say, Aendrago Dolph Lungren is the only one that can look tough in a woman's bathrobe.
>> Oh yeah.
>> And confused. He looks tough and confused. Like what's going on? And he still looks badass.
>> Oh well. And then he killed people. So come on.
>> Yeah.
>> God, I know we keep touting it, but [ __ ] that's a good movie. It is >> still my favorite. Rocky, I flip-flop between three and four.
>> All right. Uh, Die Hard with Viagra. He says, "Death's intro introduction from season five of Supernatural."
>> And that is >> I'm going to defer to you, Carly, on this one.
>> I'm gonna take your word for it.
>> It's a good one. I don't remember it all the way, but I remember being awesome.
It's like in slow motion and there's like this awesome song is playing and I feel really stupid for not remembering what it is. But I didn't I didn't double check before the show. So I remember it being cool though.
>> So he's like legit death.
>> Yes.
>> Like the character of death.
>> Mhm.
>> And he shows up in season five.
>> Well, that's his introduction. He's kind of been I mean I want to say it's played by the same actor, but he doesn't talk until season five. I could be wrong. It could be a different actor, but I want to say it's the same one. But yeah, it's really death or grim reaper, whatever.
>> Yeah.
Does he look like the Grim Reaper? Is it like a Grim Reaper representation?
>> Uh well, no. I mean, he looks like a guy in a suit.
>> He's just a dude in a suit who looks kind of creepy, >> unsettling.
I like it.
>> All right. Uh, Fiend Funko, he says, "The reintroduction of Sarah Connor in Terminator 2. Just that contrast from her character in the first movie." And yeah, I agree. That was really cool. The reintroduction.
>> She's doing the pull-ups on the uh on the bed and stuff. That was so cool.
>> Like, oh, >> yeah, >> that was the knee.
>> That was cool.
I see your Doc Holiday and Wyatt Herp in Tombstone really set the tone for both characters.
>> Yeah, there's the the initial reveal and then listen, the re-reveal of Doc Holiday at the end is is still one of the the best just in film.
>> Although I did see a well put together edit that had Tombstone fighting the three amigos. I saw that.
which is peak cinema.
>> Absolutely. Yes. Yes.
>> Uh Siri, he also says Tallahassee in Zombie Land.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> It's pretty funny.
>> I mean, yeah. Very It's justosition to Jesse Eisenberg's just >> neurotic >> neurotic wimpiness of like I have my rules.
>> Yeah. Then you got the coolest guy on earth.
>> Exactly. Uh, let's see here. Charles, uh,10959307.
He says, "Englorious bastards 2009.
Charismatic um, SS Colonel Hans Landa. I love rumors. Facts can be so misleading, but rumors, true or false, are often revealing."
I have to take his word for it because I haven't seen that movie.
>> I I've seen that part. I haven't seen the whole thing. I it's it was seeing that in the theater was the most panicinducing, sweat inducing, anxietyinducing scene.
>> Oh, is that the one where the where he's having the conversation at the table and then underneath the people are hiding.
>> Yep.
>> I've seen that part.
>> Like like you're watching this film that you're like, "Oh, it's about, you know, this this and you you're thinking, "Oh, it's Brad Pitt. Where's Brad Pitt?" And this guy you've never seen act anywhere before just shows up on screen >> and just destroys >> just kills it. Yeah.
>> Oh, let's see here. Scott Stringle, he says, "The Kirgan driving in NYC at the beginning of Highlander."
>> Yep.
>> That was a cool scene.
>> That was so cool.
>> I know. Again, we talked about this a lot, but [ __ ] that's a good [ __ ] movie.
>> Yeah. I love Clancy Brown.
>> Yep.
Yep. Best voice.
>> All right. Uh KY Fried Billy. He says, "This [ __ ] with this haircut rolling all the way through No Country for Old Men. So damn good.
>> He He was a perfect psychopath."
>> Yes. Very unsettling.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> I have seen that movie.
>> I saw that movie, too.
>> Good But this wasn't his reveal, was it?
Or was this kind of like the reveal that of how scary he is?
>> I'm not knocking. I'm just asking.
>> Yeah. No, I think that was technically the first time. Was that when he walked up to that guy's car with the cow thing?
>> Was that the first time?
>> Air blasted the dude.
>> That Oh my god. Sorry.
>> Yeah, that kind of that kind of set the scene that this guy might be not one which you want to [ __ ] with.
>> But yeah, that whole scene when he goes into the to the store is like call it. I was like, "Well, what what am I calling it for everything?"
>> Oh, so you're married into it.
>> It's crazy scene.
>> Oh, Liberty Diarrhea. He says, "When V meets Eevee and V for vendetta is a classic."
>> Yes.
>> Ferocious viscosity of villainous.
>> Lots of V's.
>> Lots of V's.
>> So many V's. So much alliteration.
>> Love it.
>> All right. Uh, Josie Lewis 2019. She says, "Off the top of my head. Character intros. We have Hannibal Lectar, Jack Sparrow, Tyler Deran, the Terminator in the first two movies. And for reveals, we have the aliens are real in 10 Cloverfield Lane. Sid grows up to be the rain maker in Looper. and magician Robert Angier is a clone Angier is a clone in the prestige.
>> Yes.
>> Yeah, those are all real solid.
>> Very good. Um, yeah, I want to say like I don't know. I really like 10 Cloverfield Lane because you really didn't know if he was just crazy or not.
>> It's a nice reveal.
>> And god, he was so scary. like protective and scary at the same time. Like a >> like are you a captive? Are you being saved? Oh god.
>> The fact they made that movie for pennies on the dollar with with just no sets, no nothing. It's it's just basically like an onstage play >> and it's just performance. It's strict solid performance and it was scary as hell. Mhm.
>> I think that might be I don't know if that might be Peak.
Um >> Goodman.
>> Goodman.
Like he's in so many great character actors, but most of his character actors never are like like a like controlled the story as much, >> right? And we're that like in the story, >> right? Like >> I mean I know he's a bad guy before.
Well, you know, a villain before, but not to that.
>> Yeah. And he's and he's done like this this cool thing where a couple of the movies he was doing basically the Alec Baldwin out of Glengary Glenn Ross >> like in flight he shows up as like the drug dealer >> and just freaking kills it for about two minutes and leaves.
>> I love that scene.
>> Like or like the gambler uh with Marky Mark.
>> [ __ ] you money.
>> Sims funky bunch.
Yeah. Like that's that's just a killer killer speech.
>> Well, he shows up in Monarch Legacy of Monsters, >> does he?
>> Yeah. He's in the first episode and then you never see him again. He's kind of like an established character because they jump back and forth between past and present and such, but it's just you're like, "Holy [ __ ] it's Junken."
>> I I always felt that. Well, yeah. And he in when he showed up in Red State, that was pretty cool, too. But like when he was in Righteous Gemstones, I would always feel bad that like everybody else is doing this horrid like terrible gross comedy and like I don't want to offend John Goodman over there.
>> Acting royalty.
>> All right, we have uh Chaos the Only. He says, "We've got Darth Vader, Blade, Achilles, Brad Pitt from Troy, Medusa from the original Clash of the Titans, >> Guts from the anime Berserk, and I'm probably going to butcher all of this, Hiko Sajurro, uh, Kenshin's master from the anime Roni Kenshin, and Toki from the anime Fist of the Northstar, who turns out to be the actual Fist of the Northstar.
>> Mhm. That's one anime I know. I never watched um Berserk or that one you tried to say.
>> I mean, >> hey, I may have said it correctly.
>> I think you might have said it right, but I >> when you first guts, I thought it was the old Nickelodeon competition.
>> You got you one part of the rock, right?
>> And Achilles.
Wait, isn't he revealed having like a forsome?
>> I think they interrupt his foresome so he can go >> and just Nathan Jones.
>> He does the Yeah, the one stab.
>> Yeah, that was cool.
Brad Pit looking all Brad Pittish.
>> Oh, yeah.
All right. Handsome Cthulhu he says, um, is it Jesus Quintana?
>> Yep. Perfect.
>> And And the big Labowski is pretty hard to beat for character impact and being >> Nobody [ __ ] with the >> Nobody [ __ ] with the Jesus.
>> That's pretty great.
>> Uh let's see here. Walnut Jazz. He says Indiana Jones open Jones's open vignettes in Raiders and Temple and and Last Crusade. Perfect for fresh eyes and veteran viewers.
I would say the the jump cut they do when it's uh River Phoenix in Last Crusade and then it it just quick edits.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Harrison Ford on the on the boat.
>> On the boat.
>> Oh, so good.
>> Yeah, that is good.
>> Oh, let's see. Sandstone Bluffs. He says, "I love the O Reishi backstory and intro from Kill Bill Volume 1. set the stage for one hell of a battle and final boss duel.
>> That's true.
>> Yeah, >> this one they went back to the anime with that as well, right?
>> Yes.
>> Yeah, >> that one was animated.
>> And for the um the whole bloody affair version, they've they've actually added some to it like onto that cartoon portion, but >> I liked it better when they cut cut that. I like I like the cut in the, you know, separate films. Yeah.
>> Okay. I I haven't seen the whole bloody affair >> and I I still that's my favorite >> my favorite kill of all of the you know that she has like the Viva Fox one okay the El Driver thing okay like her versus she is pretty I think it's it's top tier >> it's like a respectful battle kind of thing >> yeah you know like ultimately like the the the killing of Bill is a letdown just how it's done. It makes sense story.
>> Yeah. Yeah. It's kind of one of those things though, like you said, it's like how else would they've done it, you know?
>> Exactly.
>> Well, cuz they were bragging that, you know, there's a beach over there and, you know, at the sun, we can chop each other up for a little bit. I'm like, Morgan, oh, I'm looking forward to that.
And then they didn't. Spoiler alert, everybody.
>> Let's see. Curtis Lao 456. He says, Morgan's backstory from The Walking Dead.
>> Yeah. when he dis like he disappears was he's he's in the story then he disappears then he comes back and then they give the whole back thing >> I think so I think yeah I think it tells what happened to you know his son and wife and everything I'm guessing I don't know I it I liked the show I didn't watch all of the show but I I much prefer the comics so >> yeah I never I never watched the show >> it was okay >> yeah I think it was just I kind of sick of zombies at that point.
>> Yeah.
>> And I know the show is not about the zombies, about the people, the zombies.
I'm sick of that [ __ ] trope, too.
>> Yeah.
>> I mean, that's the only way to make it interesting now.
>> Oh, see Joe Schmo. He says, "Just watched the legendary Christopher Lee and Sherlock Holmes and the Deadly Necklace. Such a great actor. So sad most people only remember him as Dracula. He was a very exceptional person. If you look into his past military service during World War II, very interesting.
>> And a badass.
>> He would tell stories of like what it was like to kill someone and watch the life leave them.
>> Yeah. So he knows he knows how to act in those certain things because he lived it.
>> Yeah.
>> He had a heavy metal band, too.
>> Oh, yeah. That's right. He's This guy is [ __ ] awesome.
>> He's the most interesting man in the world.
>> He is. And I think he added a gift from I guess this is from a Bond movie because it says to us, "Mr. Bond, we are the best." Is that the man with the golden gun or something?
>> I think it could be.
>> I don't know. I looked it up and I forgot it because I haven't seen it. So I was like, "What's that?"
>> I only know more of the more modern Bond movies. I'm sure the old ones are great and stuff and I I know I've seen them, but I just I can't place them.
>> Yeah.
>> [ __ ] Chrisley.
>> All right. Uh Mark 75X, he's got a couple here. Uh he says, "Trinity's introduction in the Matrix. Absolutely kickass." And of course, it was also the introduction to the whole movie being the first scene. I remember in the theater looking at my butt and going, "Holy shit."
>> Yeah. Mhm. And uh he says, "Lucifer and Constantine, I don't think a better portrayal of the prince of darkness has ever been done." And definitely agree with that. It's an awesome part in that movie.
>> Uh then he says, "Not well known, but one of my favorite reveals is when Billy Crudd reveals he's a traitor to Cruz in Mission Impossible 3. Cruz had just come up come to from being drugged, is cuffed into a chair. A microchip bomb just shot up his nose into his head and thought his wife was just killed in front of him by Hoffman. Then Crudup comes and sits in front of him and goes, "It's complicated."
>> That's a great scene between the two of them.
>> Yeah, that is that, you know, that's a good that's a good take on reveal like uh people flipping the script like I'm I'm really a bad guy. I never thought about that. That's cool. Let's see here. It also has Mark also says Alex's intro into a clockwork orange from the score with just a red screen then a closeup of Alex's face staring at you as the camera slowly pulls back with no dialogue for almost a minute and then Alex's monologue. Saw it when I was like 16 and it made me feel this uncomfortableness which you realize was the intent once the movie gets going.
>> Oh yeah.
God, I haven't seen that in forever.
>> Yeah.
>> Doesn't get any easier to watch. So, one of those Yeah.
>> It's kind of one of those movies you're like, "Yeah, I watched it. Okay, now now I can say I watched it.
>> That's enough."
>> Outspiraling. He says, um, Aragorn in Lord of the Rings, the Fellowship of the Ring, the Brog in the same, um, movie, and then Darth Vader in Star Wars, A New Hope and Rogue One, >> and then the Joker in Batman: The Dark Knight.
>> I would give that that to the Joker and the Dark Knight cuz when he's sitting down with all the mob guys.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> That was [ __ ] cool. Well, you is it that or is it >> Well, you technically have him reveal it in the bank, but yeah. I mean, that was good, too.
>> Oh, wait. Was he [ __ ] Was he wearing the He had his face paint on.
>> He was the one of the guys in the clown masks.
>> Yeah. But was he wearing his the Joker paint >> uh >> when he pulled the mask off?
>> I don't think he was. I don't know. He might have been. It's been a while since I've seen it.
>> Yeah. Yeah, I got to watch that again.
Just the Joker parts, >> right?
>> All right, Batman.
>> Um, I I don't know who this is. I meant to look it up. I'm assuming she's a character from Star Trek.
>> Looks kind of >> But her haircut, I guess, is very is is a very shocking reveal. I don't know.
There may be something else to do with this character. And I'm sorry I didn't This is from Glenn and Tonic, by the way. Sorry. I want to say it's um Star Trek the Next Generation and like they killed her character off.
>> Yeah, I was about to say, didn't she wasn't she part of the group but she didn't have this wacky haircut?
>> Well, I think they killed her off and then they brought her back.
>> Oh, okay. This is >> and then and this was like the reveal of of the bringing her back I >> with her new haircut.
>> Yeah.
>> Wow. This is quite the reveal.
Wow. I'm sorry. That haircut I just That's awesome. That big whatever it is >> is fun. Okay.
>> Got cosplay that.
>> All right. Signal boosted. He's got the uh looks like Jack Sparrow from uh Pirates of the Caribbean, which that was a great re character introduction.
>> Yeah, it was to show how things weren't really going his way. No, but that's okay. It's going to act totally cool even though it's not.
>> And then we have Pure Rat 8585. He says the ending of Saw 2004 when Jigsaw revealed he was in the room the entire time. And yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> When that part I was like, "What the [ __ ] Crazy."
>> That was cool. And then they did part two and wrecked everything.
>> Yeah. And then they did part three, four, five, six, seven. I don't know. I listen I watched them all I think until like part nine maybe nine or 10.
>> I haven't seen them since then. So I don't know.
>> I think the last was the the one you had to jump in the thing of needles.
>> That's part two.
>> Yeah.
>> You're not missing much.
>> No.
>> No. Like part one was the absolute best >> cuz it like yes it was gory but it wasn't like we put something in the back of your eyeball now go and get it like >> well and most of the most of the traps you couldn't even like win. You know what I mean?
>> Yeah that's the biggest pain in the ass is like come on man like yeah let's show some people naming themselves but like let's have some more people like beat it. You know what I mean?
>> Yeah. it still be [ __ ] up, but I don't know.
>> Well, thanks everyone for playing and uh yeah, those are some great reveals. I can't believe I didn't think of Darth Vader.
>> [ __ ] the matter with me?
>> All right. Well, how about you, coach?
What are your favorite reveal?
>> Favorite reveals.
>> Favorite reveals? That sounds dirty.
>> Let's see here. How do I drive? trying to >> I like to do that.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Uh there was apparently an upgrade uh for chat GPT. This stuff has been coming out a lot better >> recently.
>> Uh let's see here. So I did an uh two honorable mentions.
John Doe from Seven whereas you don't see Yeah, you don't see him for like most of the movie. He shows up in the the third the third part and it's the he's trying to get their attention. He's covered in blood walking trying to get the detective detect detective.
>> Yeah. Like he's screaming Miss Tusmacher.
>> Yeah. just absolutely, you know, a a great because again, um Tim Spy was did no press for it and they didn't put him in any of the um >> any of the posters or any of the the >> which was great and he was creepy as [ __ ] in this.
>> You know what could also work for this too >> is for what's in the box.
>> That was a pretty shocking reveal. Yeah, there was too.
>> But I mean, you know, we never found out what was in the box.
>> No, they ended up using it for Contagion, though.
>> Did you know that?
>> Yes, they did. That's right.
>> Like her her life mold or whatever for her face.
>> We got this head kicking around that we never showed in seven. You want to use it?
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> My other honorable mention.
>> Oh, nice. is Jack. People have said it, but it like it's such a good modern >> like we're going back. [ __ ] I did the wrong thing. Okay, going back. Uh, so we have Jack Sparrow. It is buffoonery. It is like it it comes in with this sweeping music and you think like he is just grandstanding and then he's just an idiot. Um, >> yeah.
Uh my my number three that I I quickly gave away is Yeah. Darth Vader. You can't you just can't like it's such a good reveal. It is you've never seen anything like it before. Um you know like it it's a historical just absolute reveal.
>> Now I I saw this when I was a kid.
>> Dave, I'm assuming you did as well.
>> Yep. Did you think he was a robot?
>> Of course.
>> Like >> I thought they were all robots.
>> Yeah, me too. I didn't like it took a long time before I was like, "Wait a minute. They're just guys and we just >> Yeah.
>> Like why would they need the full mask?
Like >> why is he wearing that? And yeah, >> they're wearing a full mask. Why are they fighting people with half masks?
>> Why is everybody got a mask on?
>> I knew surrounded by [ __ ] machine.
>> My number two.
>> Now you're talking.
>> I'm glad you picked this one cuz I almost picked this one too.
>> It's such an important choice because and even like so apparently the the trip fall roll thing wasn't in the script. It was all Gene Wilder and he his explanation was I need to keep these people on their toe to toes and it sets the tone for the entire thing that you never know what's going to happen.
And that's why like it's just such a great reveal of nobody has seen this guy forever and oh there's stories and stories and stories and then >> he shows up.
>> Yeah. He's always you know like nope your story's wrong. I'm this or I'm not that or I'm like >> he's one step ahead everybody.
>> One step ahead of everybody.
>> Willy Wonka.
>> And of course because it's me.
>> There you go.
>> Dr. Frankenfer a scientist. This is that is the charact that is now but it's written is Dr. Frankenferter a scientist.
>> A scientist. Um, it's such a great reveal and as it's happening, you have the initial Janet and [ __ ] conversation and then like you have the reveal and then it goes into song explaining the reveal.
>> Like you just can't beat it. So, it's a reveal in a reveal because he comes down and it's the reveal of him in the elevator and then he's completely cloaked singing a song >> and then the reveal of the reveal.
>> Yeah, good choices.
>> Really good choices.
>> Yep.
All right. So, my AI did not go through a uh >> an upgrade.
>> An upgrade. And you can tell because mine are fave entrances.
They just >> Oh, I didn't even see that extra e until you pointed it out. I read it too fast.
>> You need the extra e to get through the door.
>> Entrances.
>> Entrances.
interest.
>> Yeah, that's how we spell it here in Canada apparently. At least that's what uh whatever the Google one is.
>> That was like when I was doing the thumbnail for Carly is and just apostrophes. Apostrophes.
>> And I didn't even catch it the first time.
>> I was like, >> "Oh, yeah. Check out uh Carly's Creepy Corner. If you're watching this, you're going to love that. She uh she dives deep on uh on some classic horror and >> well she's just really entertaining.
>> Thank you. And I also did a um a Punisher cut of of him grunting in his newest special that I'm really proud of.
I thought it was funny.
>> It was It was freaking hilarious. Check that out, too. Check out our channel.
Subscribe, like, and share it. And nobody grunt roars like old John Barrenthal.
>> No.
something.
>> I got to tell you something. So, my number three, Captain America in Infinity War.
>> Oh my god. Yes. I'm sorry. I don't I don't mean to cut you off, but when he showed up with that beard, I was like, >> "Oh my god, I have never seen Captain America look so good on screen." He had the long hair, the beard. I was like, "Oh, this is peak Captain America."
Kevin Feige went, "Yes, we just doubled our we just doubled our intake."
>> Heck yeah. Oh, yeah. When he showed up at the uh at the behest of Scarlet Witch and Vision, now this is what I love because Scarlet Witch and Vision are by all rights superer than Captain America is. They have more powers. They're more powerful and everything like that, but when Captain America showed up, you're like, "Oh, [ __ ] Good. he's gonna solve this.
And Captain America, like I love him, but he's just kind of like a strong guy, >> right?
>> He's not a robot or anything, but I was so happy to see him at the uh at the train station. Now, I tried to get other pictures to show up kind of like a this is how he showed up. But every one of them was in such dark silhouette. It's just it's just like >> see it's it's that modern color palette, man.
>> And you can tell this is >> in shadows. Yeah. Well, I mean, you could tell from the uh the silhouette because Yeah, Chris Ev quite the hell of a silhouette. Jesus Christ. Good looking dude.
My number two was not Darth Vader, but it was Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian when all was lost and they were screwed and those dark robot troopers, which were robots, which is better than Guys in Suits, we're killing everybody. What are we going to do? What are we going to do? One dude shows up and just wrecks all of them. Now, I figured it was Luke Skywalker because of the X-wing when it showed up and then the doors opened. It looked really cool. Looked very Luke Skywalker.
There was apparently some people that thought it was going to be like >> Plun or >> all these other like a thousand other Jedis. And I'm like, >> "No, >> the [ __ ] is all wrong with you?
>> It's going to be Luke Skywalker."
And yeah, they were saying, "No, what about it's going to be Ezra from >> right >> that band, I guess. I don't know.
>> Better than Ezra." Well, this was better than Ezra. This was Luke [ __ ] Skywalker >> and he came up and he crushed it and it was cool and I was really happy. This was one of my favorite ones. But my ultimate favorite one has been mentioned before. No surprise here.
>> Blade.
>> This was going to be on my list and then you sent me your list. I'm like, "Fuck, now I can't think of something else.
Well, you see that's >> you when when you come up with the idea, you might have a an idea of where it comes from. So, you make sure you message your friends so they can't take uh your pics.
>> Yeah, bleed in the Wowski starship uh uh birthday party. Um just absolutely.
>> Yeah. I know when uh when he showed up, I mean, you had what 100 vampires at this club. They're all like bloodthirsty. They're all ready to kill everything like that. And then just the baddest [ __ ] shows up and then he says, "You're dead, Dwalker." And he wasn't. He wasn't because he [ __ ] killed everything there.
>> Yes, he did.
>> Is this when he said, "Um, >> no, it's not." I was about to say not when he said that. That was at the end.
Brad was correct about that. Listen, I've already I've already said that you were right. I was wrong.
>> You can tell I'm not right often. So, I'm taking this for at least another show.
>> Next week will be more Blade.
>> The fact that that dire the director of Blade basically did nothing else.
>> Like >> I know >> he went on that he did >> that's all you have to do.
>> Well, he Well, he he did give us the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Oh, yeah. Nothing.
>> I think that put him into jail for the director for the rest. Yeah.
>> Yeah. I Good. You can't You can't return from that. I'm sorry.
>> Yeah.
>> How can you [ __ ] up a movie having Shan Connory in it?
>> Cuz Sean Connory didn't know what the hell he was doing in it.
>> That's true.
>> All right, Carly. Uh, you're up. What?
Who is Gump in Return to Oz?
>> Was that the Was that the moose?
>> The moose head.
>> Gump.
>> Oh, maybe >> in Return to Oz.
>> Uh, either that or was it the No, it wasn't the Tin Man. Maybe it was the moose. I'm not sure.
>> Gump. I don't even remember there being a character named Gump. Although, it's been forever since I've seen that movie.
So, >> in a million years, so scary.
>> It did. that it was um that that's like one of his one acting roles.
>> Oh.
>> Oh.
>> Oh, it is. It's the moose. It's the moose head.
>> Okay.
>> Sorry.
>> You're just trolling this dude. You're just trolling this dude. One of the best movies in the world.
>> Blade.
>> Although they did have that weird like >> final battle, but then if you if you watch like the behind the scenes stuff, it was going to be a lot weirder. It was going to be a lot stupider. A [ __ ] blood volcano or [ __ ] blood tornado.
>> Yeah.
>> Blood volcano.
>> I'm glad.
>> Yeah, I think so.
>> Well, actually, it would be a blood hurricane because you need >> Okay, stop it. We're not doing not talking about moist and blood stuff. What's wrong with you, >> Carly? Take us away. What do you got?
>> All right. All right. These are some of Carly's favorite character introductions slash or favorite movie character introductions slashreveals.
>> Is that you and McGregor playing Indiana Jones?
>> Maybe.
>> Could be.
>> Probably.
>> Who knows?
>> Could watch that.
>> All right.
>> Hello there.
So, for some honorable mentions I have here, um, would be Kelly Le Brock in Weird Science because Yeah.
>> And I'm really upset because by the way, I had all these like nice gifts picked out for like, you know, movement on these slides, but for whatever reason, Streamyard does not like them.
>> So, they're just still images. So, just use your imagination. Um, but then I've also got the dude, his introduction from the big labowski, and of course Mr. Wolf or from um what's it called?
>> Pulp fiction. Thank you.
>> You're welcome.
>> Yeah, that was he had a really cooling just just shows up and straighten stuff out like that's what that's what you need him to do. It was so cool. Pretty please.
>> Pretty [ __ ] please.
>> The Jimmy situation.
>> Oh jeez.
>> All right. So then for my number three, these are really not in any particular order, but I had to and I don't even remember her name. I had to look it up.
It's Cameron Diaz and um her intro in the mask when she comes in.
>> Originally on mine until I You you put in I was like, "Damn it, damn it."
>> It's whoever texts first, they get the rights.
>> Yeah. Cameron Diaz has never looked hotter. I mean, come in and out of the rain in that red dress. O so good.
>> Heck yeah.
>> Like that whole gift that I had picked out, it was like going to go up her leg and scan up to her boobs. It was It was so good. You guys will just have to watch the scene.
>> But yeah, >> and this was like first >> I think it Yeah, it was her first role, I think. Yeah, her first big thing.
>> Yeah.
>> Beautiful.
>> Never thought about this and I'm so glad you did.
>> All right. My next one is the T-Rex from Jurassic Park. Um, who is the, of course, the unofficial mascot of Jurassic Park franchise. Uh, affectionately nicknamed Rexie by fans and on set as Roberta. Uh, she of course first appears in Jurassic Park as a terrifying antagonist turned anti-hero across multiple films in the series including Jurassic World, Fallen Kingdom, and Dominion.
>> Mhm. And um the gift that was supposed to play on this one is the water um you know the vibration from the footsteps from the T-Rex because when you first saw that in theaters I was like oh my god >> it was so good. They they used like a rubber band to do it because they just couldn't get the right >> like they went through five different versions of trying to make it it perfect >> and it was something like tying a rubber band to the bottom of the cup and just snapping it a certain way.
>> Well, I'd say it was perfect because this [ __ ] this scene, man. when she's stepping in the mud and it kind of crushes down and the eye of course, but oh >> yeah, it's such a great blending of, you know, the practical effects and the and the CGI.
>> I don't think every anything's really looked as good since then.
>> I don't think so.
>> Yeah.
And your Well, not number one. Your next one?
>> Yep. My last one is the is the introduction to adult Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy. Uh, you know, Red Bones, come and get your love starts playing. He starts dancing and then we have the cut to wide shot with him under the title of the movie card, like title of the movie. I love it. Just that that whole scene just kind of sets the stage for the rest of the movie, so to speak.
I think this is the best of the modern era of of just it's an unknown character. This is the like we don't know who this guy is. Only like only like 1% of 1% of comic book people know who this person is.
>> I was a huge Marvel guy, huge comic man.
They said we're doing Guardians of the Galaxy next. Because that this was at the the height of like Marvel's powers.
Like they were >> hitting on everything doing right. And they said, "Now we're doing Guardians of the Galaxy." And I'm like, "What the [ __ ] is that?"
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> And then I saw the trailer and I'm like, "This looks fun. I'm in."
>> They couldn't pull this off. They couldn't pull this off nowadays. It It had to be >> peak Marvel and here, take a chance on this. And I mean, it the what makes us an amazing reveal is it's a an actor that this is his springboard.
>> Yeah.
>> Like we all we liked him from Parks and Rack. He was funny on the OC, but like he's unrecognizable in this. And it's just all charisma and all it the reveal is so good on this.
>> Yeah.
>> Yes. Perfect.
>> Damn. Great choices.
>> Thank you.
>> Great. Great choices.
All right. So, I guess we watched some stuff, too. Yeah.
>> Mhm.
>> Coach, >> you had a long time to watch stuff, so dazzle us stuff to do.
>> Dazzle us. Come on now. No, you had nothing else to do. Just sit and watch TV, right?
>> Well, let's see.
>> No, that's fine.
>> Wrong one.
>> Hey, I watched Mortal Kombat 2.
>> We'll talk about that later.
>> Coach in the corner of the thumb.
>> I am click on that. Didn't work. God damn it.
>> Oh, >> hang on. Hang on. Hang on. Hang on. Hang on.
>> Here we go.
>> There you go.
>> Yeah. Sorry. Sorry about that.
>> Listen, I I really need to get a neon that says eat, sleep, movies, games, repeat.
>> That would be awesome.
>> That and I did love >> What has coach went up to?
>> I love that they put on the popcorn bucket movie fuel.
>> Fuel. Yeah, movie fuel.
>> Pause game. Eat pizza.
Like I And I gave them minimal instructions and they went to town on this. Although I don't know how much Doritos is paying to be in this >> or PlayStation.
>> Well, yeah, but all the PlayStation games are actual games and all the movies are actual movies. I couldn't believe >> I was thinking like >> but uh first thing I I did see was The Devil Wears Prada 2. Um >> honestly, this was quite enjoyable. Um, you know, it was it had the same pretentiousness as the first one and it is the oh to oh this the fashion is the most okay like I can I can watch this movie. I don't want to live in this world but I can watch this like the touch is the touch. um they basically brought back everybody and >> uh you know a couple other extra people that they brought in and it kind of plays off almost like a heist movie which is actually pretty cool.
>> Okay. um you know like there's all these kind of twists and turns and it's a lot of dealing with the modern uh communications in terms of like uh magazines and newspaper and print of like how like nobody really buys magazines anymore.
>> Not really.
>> Yeah.
>> So there's so [ __ ] expensive.
>> Yeah. Right.
So, I actually bought a magazine the other day and it was $12.
>> You bought a what?
>> Right.
>> I did like I bought a magazine.
>> Oh, wow. For $12? Oh my goodness.
>> $12.
>> What kind of magazine was it?
>> How much was the DVD that you bought, Charlie? It was two bucks, wasn't it?
>> Yeah. Well, listen, like I Well, and that's why I asked what kind of magazine was it? because I might drop about $12 to $15 on an issue of Total Film, >> but I haven't been able to find that in years. I used to be able to find it at uh Barnes & Noble, but they don't have it anymore.
>> Uh outside it's one that I normally like. Um, like I like the articles and there's stuff I have on online that they they just do good they do good work and it was one of those they whole thing on the commino to Santiago which I was interested in and so I bought the magazine but I was just like geez >> it hurts right >> but yeah like does it come with a cup of coffee or like >> yeah rolled up in this or something.
>> Yeah. So the devil's pro like everybody's great in it. Um, you know, like it's just a a nice good movie. It's one of those like, yeah, did they not have to make a second one? Yeah, they didn't have to make a second one, but at least they cared enough to do it well.
>> Okay, cool.
>> You know what I mean? Like they played on all the iconic tropes of the first one, stuff like that. Emily Blunt and back. And apparently so what the main three did uh uh Merryill Street, Hathaway, and Blunt is instead of like, you know, Merryill Street getting all the money, they kind of did a three-way thing >> where That's not three-way. I'm really not >> that not that three-way, but >> like each of them got Yeah. each of them got like like 12 billion. They all each got 12 million and then part of the the uh the back end as well.
>> Okay. instead of like this is the star and I guess that that's kind of how they worked it out which okay.
>> Yeah, that's cool.
>> So like I listen do you need to run to the theaters to see it? No. But I mean like the visuals are good. The costumeuming is is is impressive and stuff like that. Listen, it's not anything I'm going to wear or be able to wear, but like it's still like okay that's that's kind of cool. Okay. No, I'm good.
Uh, next I saw the sheep detectives >> want to hear about this.
>> This is everything that um Oh, I forgot the Damn it. It's the crux of my whole argument.
Uh, Glass Onion. Uh, what's what's the >> Knives Out?
>> Knives Out. So, this is basically almost like the first Knives Out.
>> Oh.
>> Where it is the first Knives Out meets Babe Pig in the Babe Pig in the City.
>> Um, kind of how the second and third Knives Out, I think, have lost their way.
>> They're a little long- winded, a little a little much, >> whereas the first one was was just kind of >> just just kicked ass.
>> Yeah.
>> Is what this was. And it's so good. It's PG. the, you know, the whole theater was packed with grandparents, kids, parents, like it was a full family thing.
>> Cool.
>> The sheep can talk, but only to each other.
>> When they talk to each other, all the humans here is like bad and all that.
So, like you have Hugh Jackman as the the titular guy and then this cast of characters around him that they all live in this the sheep hurting community.
um and he mysteriously dies.
>> So like you have all these upand cominging actors like the the guy uh in the the police officer is uh Greg from um Succession and he plays a good bumbling guy. You have Emma Thompson there. Um >> love her.
>> And then the other the sheep are played by uh Brett Goldstein plays two two Rams that just want to destroy everything.
>> Okay.
Um, you know, you have Reese Darby, uh, like it's a who's who of all the actors.
Like this is just kind of like the Then it goes up to you got Brian Cranston, Julie Lou Drifitz, and Patrick >> Patrick Stewart. That was Bella Ramsey.
>> Yes.
>> And it's just they go through the cast at the end and you're just like, "Oh my gosh, I can't believe like everybody just wanted to be in this." like and I think it was because it you know it's a lot of voice work which is fairly easy you know the people that did the main lifting you know were the the live action people um so like it was just a nice fun movie like I can't complain it it was just so good um so yeah I mean like >> take your family >> so I didn't see this this weekend but or this past weekend But Trey took Ben to go see it. So, >> okay, >> Ben really liked it. I asked him when he got home. He's like, "Oh, yeah, mom. I really liked it." And then he proceeded to spoil it for me. He's like, "It's the public." I'm like, "Oh my god."
>> Thanks, buddy. Now I don't need to watch it, I guess. He's like, "Oh, I'm sorry."
I'm like, "What would you say?
>> He's excited. There there is more than just the mystery, but yeah, it's one of those wait till it comes to streaming and then like you can just enjoy Brick Goldstein playing twin goats was or twin rams that just want to bash every I want to bash everything. It's is just >> great.
>> Great.
>> That was cool.
>> All right, this is where Brad is proud of me. I watched the entire series of shrinking.
>> The entire series. All three se All three seasons. Wow.
>> Okay. No, I thought you were uh gonna say you sat through a horror movie.
>> Yeah.
Let's not be Let's not go crazy.
>> Well, I don't know. I don't know. That's >> it.
This is 100% my wheelhouse. I am a man of middle age and this is a middle-aged man's move uh TV show and it's you know what what do middle-aged men deal withah like I know it sounds trit but it is just so incredibly good. It is the the caring of Ted Lasso, the goofiness of scrubs. Uh it is a an absolute Bill Lawrence affair. Um Harrison Ford is just having the time of his life where he is he's just playing a fun fun guy, but he's not a fun guy. He's a grumpy guy, but he gets to have his moments. But he has a couple of just amazing amazing speeches and and like you can just tell that he's 100% in. Um, Jason Seagull is God, man. It It's I really respect the guy because I saw this and the other the the one where he was a writer a couple weeks ago.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> And it's like that one.
>> It's like I hated how to not train your dragon. How to train your mother. Uh your mother.
>> How I Met Your Mother.
>> How to train your mother.
>> How do you do that?
Is that that $12 magazine he bought?
>> Oh god.
>> Like I I never I I'm I couldn't stand that show. But listen, it gave this guy a ton of money and now he gets to just kind of do what he wants. It's like, >> hey, if you get to do if you do bad art and then it gets to to do Muppets, Shrinking, and the other stuff. Um, you know, and then was it Kobe Smoothers comes in as uh one of the love interests.
>> It's all about psychiatrist and kind of psychiatrist going a little rogue, but like it the writing's really good.
What's her name is having the time of her life. Um, even though she is very frozenfaced.
>> Oh, yeah. What's her name?
>> Christa.
Yeah.
>> The neighbor.
>> Yeah.
>> And how good is Ted McGinley?
>> He is amazing.
>> Is that her husband?
>> Yeah.
>> Okay.
>> One like it's it's really it's hilarious how like a lot of the time I'm like how the how the hell are you people affording this? like what is your actual scale of money where it's just just like >> well they're in Los Angeles so I think therapy is really expensive uh but I mean the neighbors you never really find out what what they >> anybody does but >> you know but the one guy's retiring and yeah it's like that's not important >> I love that he wakes up every morning and pees outside because he can just like I'm just one plants. How are you doing, neighbor? And they live so close that like basically they're living on top of each other, >> but they're all in these cool little Los Angeles bungalows.
>> So, okay. Um, what's her name was uh Jessica Williams, who plays Gabby, is absolutely >> her energy, her fearlessness, like I will say she doesn't have your stereotypical Hollywood body.
But for her to do a, you know, a semi stripped down scene, >> I was just I was so happy to see I was so happy to see something that I normally don't see >> curves in the movie.
>> Yeah.
>> Or show.
>> Yeah.
>> Um, you know, Brett Goldstein was a little weird coming in.
>> Yeah, he was.
>> Um, >> because he didn't have the beard.
>> Yeah. And and >> he looks weird. That was a hard storyline for me to get with, but I, you know, I trusted trusted where I was. So, >> yeah.
>> So, yeah, I highly recommend it. Um, listen, if you are a middle-aged white guy, there you go. It's perfect. Right up your ass.
>> You might even like it if you're a middle-aged white woman.
>> I think so. Because it >> I see like the first two episodes. I enjoyed what I saw. I just I haven't gotten back into it. I and I think there's a there's a certain level of honesty of like I think everybody wishes they could act like these people.
>> Oh, that's that's what it is. It's a complete fantasy that these people com speak the way they do to each other. But it it is it what if you didn't I don't want to say if you didn't have a filter because they're conscious of what they're saying but it's like example uh the one guy he kind of flakes on him and and legit hurts his feelings.
So he says man you really hurt my feelings. Now nobody says that >> right? Nobody will say that in real life.
>> I don't know. I mean, I say it. I'm really sensitive, though.
>> Well, >> I've never said it, but I've wanted to say it. I've wanted to say it so many times. Like, you know what? That really hurt my feelings. I don't like you right now. It it's a lot of people that are in relationships, whether they're friends, lovers, married, or divorced, whatever, that say what's on their mind because they know that their friendship will always hold on no matter how bad things are.
>> Yeah. Survive.
>> Yeah. It it's like if I live my life without any doubt of of any of my relationships that I >> that the relationships are are stronger than these little sets that >> and realistically relationships should be stronger >> than these these little quips and setbacks and whatnot. But people are so afraid that they won't.
>> Yep. That's where that's, you know, pretty much where I am. Next to my list, I only have two more, is the game Dispatch. I made my way through the whole thing.
>> Um, >> whole thing.
>> Made through the whole thing.
>> So good. It now it is here's I mean, here's the thing. Like, it's kind of a choose your own adventure, but it's kind of not. Um, where like the story plays and then every like five minutes or so, it'll say like, uh, you know, this person said this to you. What do you want to do?
And then like a timer comes down, you have to choose one of the three things and that's how the story falls. And then there's kind of these inner woven games of like you're a dispatcher for villains that have turned heroes that are basically like on call to fix [ __ ] of like there's a robbery downtown and you have to pick like okay do I take the brainiac one or the fast one or the fighter one? And so you're you're dispatching super wann to be superheroes.
>> Oh, okay.
>> And there's conflicts all back and forth, but it has a very kind of like Dragon's Layer of like well, it's just going to kind of play out as it goes anyway. But, uh, there are different versions of like, you know, where you can end up and stuff like that, but it's done by the Critical Role team. So you have like you know Lauren Bailey is one of the voices but you also have like Jeffrey Wright, Aaron Paul, >> you know like um Alana Pierce like there there's a bunch of people on here you're just like oh I I know them and it's it's really well done. I uh it's broken into different seasons. So I think there's four or five seasons. Um and they're basically anywhere from a half an hour to an hour depending on how how long you stick with it.
Um, so I think there I mean it's a cheap buy. I think it's under 20 bucks. So it it's you know really fun for that and it's just it's a whole new way of entertaining.
>> When did this come out? Is this like a new game?
>> This was in the fall this came out.
>> Okay.
>> So it's a huge thing and and a lot of these smaller things I'm seeing like they're just putting them on everything.
And I think, you know, the way PlayStation is kind of going right now, like they just raised their >> Yeah.
>> And >> like it I'm pretty much going to probably start just using Steam and stuff in PC rather than, >> you know, anything else.
>> Um, so last thing I did was >> I experienced Mix.
>> Okay. I was about to say I don't know if you could say you played it.
I'm sorry.
>> Well done.
>> I because I listen I didn't I haven't played it myself or whatever experienced it myself but I have seen other people experience it.
Now I am of age that this is just absolutely again it's something like in my wheelhouse of just like oh you know early 90s late 80s and 70s music like oh it's the last day of like being together before we all go and do different things. It's you know it's like it's the condensing of almost like your senior summer all in one one motion. Um, and it's one of those like I get it of like, oh yeah, you don't really need to do anything.
Yeah, there's there's parts of the games that literally you don't need to hit a button and you'll go through, but when you are controlling it, like you can just go with the flow and it's it's the music. And that's why like it's really hard after playing through it to see like people isolating stuff online and it's like yeah I get it that does look stupid and goofy but it's not like the big it's not the big picture. It's you know what I mean? like like we can all cut up things, but like this is just it was on my my radar for a while of like I I found the um the trailer a while ago and just the music is so good. Um and just so random. I mean like uh what is it? Stand bush. you. The touch is is one of the the game plays and there's a bunch of but like mini games that are just absolutely fun. There are some that are like tedious here and there, but like there's like skipping rocks and firing a slingshot and like just moving stuff. Like >> the music makes everything so good that it's just a complete vibe the whole way through.
And you know, it's these three people that kind of, you know, they they just get it. They just get each other. And I can't rave enough about this because of just it's one of those like put on headphones, turn out the lights, and just [ __ ] go.
>> Sweet.
>> Like the animation is that kind of uh Spiderverse >> animation.
>> Looks cool though.
>> Yeah. in this thing. Like it's $17.
Like like I I paid 12 for a magazine, you know? Like like that's that's that's the thing. Like like there's people that can go like there's people that go to Chick-fil-A and have it grubhuffed at my work. And I'm like, like the front office girls will get Chick-fil-A, get a Grub Tub, and it's basically like they're paying $35 for a Chicken sandwich, a drink, and all that. Yeah, >> it's $17.
The gameplay is fun, the music is fun, and there is a cool little thing where you can go on their website. It's like create your own mixtape.
>> Nice.
>> So, yep. That's all my That's everything I saw over my time away.
>> Well, that's cool, man. That's really cool. I um >> Yeah, it's on PlayStation.
>> It's on everything. It's on Xbox like that pass thing that they have. It's on regular Xbox. It's on PlayStation Network.
>> You can get it for PC like from Steam.
>> Okay.
>> You know, and it it is it's you know, you can pretty much control it with pretty much a mouse and a couple clickers. So >> cool.
>> Yeah. Or you you mean like >> or you can just let it play? No, I'm kidding. Not every part. I know there are a couple parts where you have to do the prompts or whatever else you'll fail, >> but there are some parts where you can literally just put the controller down or whatever and just let it do it and you get like a perfect score. So >> really >> some parts. Yes. Not every part. Not every part.
>> Yeah, it it'll it'll like Yeah, there's a part where like she's like trying to escape and you're supposed to jump over or slide under and it just kind of goes through.
But like the the first part is like you're just kind of on a skateboard going down a hill and then it's like okay and then you just kind of drift away and then like a car hits you.
>> Yeah. Then you didn't have to rewind that part. But you know what? I just look and I'm and I hate to be one of those people that harps on certain things like what you were talking about like taking little things but when I saw those skateboards I was like okay that's 80s that's not 90s. Those are those fat boards. My brother had one. Yes. and and like so that was off-putting for me and then of course like like I said I didn't watch all of it. Um of course I did not play it by myself but the music that I did see I was very disappointed. I was like I just I mean like it was a lot of music that I was not super duper familiar with and that just could be me.
Um, but it did not feel like, you know, I grew up in that time, so it just did not feel like it to me. And the whole they have like a a cassette tape that is like upside down. I don't know why they put it that way. Why did they put it that way? It's like upside down and like the little the little what's it called?
The um even the sticker on it like the label is upside down. I was like, "Nobody labeled their tapes that way." I was like, "What was this made with? Did you guys It's like nobody looked at it."
It's just little things like that. But that's just me being nitpicky and because I grew up in the time and >> you know I I know you did too, but you know what I mean. It just it bothered me. But I'm glad that you loved the game.
>> I will never bismerch anybody for enjoying.
>> No, I I look at it as like I don't even call it a game. It's more an experience because like >> that's a thing everyone it's not a game.
Like, listen, man. Like, like, >> whatever.
>> Yeah. I used to go see Laser Floyd at the Planetarium. Are you going to tell me that's not music or that's Yeah, it's not music and it's not that. It's a whole new thing. Like, >> yeah.
>> I think most people were really upset at the fact though that like people were giving it like game of the year 10 out of 10 or whatever, which and and again, if they if they genuinely thought that, that's great.
>> So, if you think of Who who are the reviewers for the big places?
>> Yeah.
>> Okay. What age and what gender are they?
>> I don't even know. Do they know?
>> They It's It's a bunch of It's a bunch of old fat guys with gray hair like me that you know what I mean? That held on.
You know, any any other reviewer is they're working for themselves.
>> Yeah. like any of the young young people or like they're basically working for themselves. The only people that work for a company nowadays are old people that are holding on for dear life.
>> No kidding.
>> You know, like anybody who's in the gaming industry or pretending to be in the gaming industry, you know, that's reviewing anything. They're all working for themselves. They're trying to just get as many clicks and, you know, views as they can. Not saying that that's how they interpret it, but like you know like hard cuts of DVO or like >> you know they go into the big thing about like Poris Head and I was like oh man.
>> Oh yeah. No, I like Poris Head. Yeah, I I did like that drop. I was like okay that's cool. That's cool. I did listen to Portoris Head. So >> there's and there's there's one that's like a 60s song and it's this weird >> the main charact was the name of the song. I think it was on my parents jukebox.
>> Um >> have you seen her or whatever?
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. That's like the song where the guy's like talking at the beginning of the at the park bench or what? I don't know. I'm sorry. It's just something that I remember because as a kid my parents had it on our jukebox and I listen to it all the time. So, I did know that song.
>> Like the the part that that happens on is like the character makes a huge [ __ ] up >> andically like reverts back into themselves of just like floating through life of like, oh man, just screwed it up and like you're just floating >> and and then you're just like going higher and higher and it just as that amazing song is playing in the background. So it's again it's one of those it's an experience you know again I don't if people don't like it I don't >> Yeah >> yeah you like it >> so wait so how long did you did you take to play the uh the tongue game the >> tongue game so so there's an unlock there's >> there's an unlocking version of like so to hit the the trophy >> bingo there it is bingo Go.
>> All right. Um, so like, um, the first time I did it, as soon as it's like, "Okay, that's enough." I'm like, "Yes, that's enough."
>> There's a mini game where it's literally you see inside two people's mouths and there's tongues and you just like make them like French kiss. I don't know. For long. I don't know. It's very weird. One of them has braces, the other one doesn't. It's just >> But you earn a an accomplishment if you do it. if you stay doing it for over 60 seconds.
>> God, I wish I got that in real life.
>> Like, so like I So, I played through it and I got the whole like the whole vibe of it. And I've watched a couple people online and I think a lot of the the people online, a lot of people are pissed that or at least the younger people are because there's not a streamable version.
>> Oh, yeah. Because the music. I think >> the whole point is the music. Like the whole point is the music.
>> It's called mixtape for [ __ ] sakes.
>> It's just like what do you mean you give me something? I can't go on Twitch and monetize this now.
>> No, just play it.
>> I don't understand.
>> You know, there's a couple people that have done it on YouTube and gone through the whole thing and you know, like I mean the Yeah, it's an experience.
>> That's fair.
>> All right. Well, I didn't have that experience. Um, but I experienced a movie that everyone told me I have to watch. Got to watch. And I've tried to watch.
>> I have tried it. I >> tried.
>> I know. I know the one >> and I did it.
>> I actually watched it.
>> Um, so yeah, Once Upon a Time. I always want to say Once Upon a Time in Mexico, >> right? Me too. Uh, but once upon a time in Hollywood, Quinton Tarantino's masterful >> ode to Hollywood.
>> Ode to Hollywood.
Uh, it's all right.
>> Oh, that's all right. It's long. It's long. You know, >> it's long.
>> It's It's long. And uh so much of it is unnecessary.
>> That's fair. I I think that's that's what it was with me. Like I love Margot Robbie. I think she's a great actress.
>> Not needed once in the movie. Not needed. If if he removed every part that she was in He didn't lose anything.
>> Yeah.
>> I like Leonardo DiCaprio.
His little tail was really [ __ ] boring.
>> A See, well, yeah. I I listen I get it.
I I thought it was very compelling because I like seeing the behind the scenes and all that stuff, but I can definitely understand >> him in this trailer part I thought was great of >> like watching him like do his thing >> and actually get to it would have been enough. You did I did not have to see >> the wheeling and >> I like Timmy Olifant. Uh I thought I I really actually liked him in this movie.
But it was like, "Yeah, these parts, this scene isn't necessary. This isn't necessary. This isn't necessary."
>> Uh, I mean, I like Brad Pitt in it. He was the only interesting thing in it.
>> Yeah. What about those last 10 minutes?
>> That was cool. Um, >> I was definitely not expecting that. I was like, "What?"
>> I was really not expecting that either.
And I will say if you have an actor that looks that much like Bruce Lee and all you did was use Bruce Lee to establish that this white guy is a badass.
>> I think there's also Tarantino is from the oh Sunny Chea is the real guy. Oh, like >> Yeah.
>> I was in the video store and I saw all these other martial artists, but Bruce Lee is the one everybody, you know, it's like I know better than everybody else.
>> Yeah. And I think that's what it also was. I mean, it was it was definitely a love letter to 60s Hollywood and stuff, but I mean, I don't give a [ __ ] about that stuff.
>> I will tell you the Brad Pitt. Yes. The the the whole dog and the and that whole thing was >> Yeah. Watching watching Austin Butler.
>> Yes.
>> Watching Austin Butler get get bit and then I don't I can't remember the actress's name when he's ramming her face into the fireplace.
>> Oh god.
>> The red, right?
>> Yeah. I was thinking, okay, you know, >> because the Oscar winner got got flam.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. Cuz he had a flamethrower in his pool shed.
>> Well, it's from his old world. from his old world.
>> I know. I know. I know.
>> I will say when I when I left the theaters, I did say that Barker Qualally is going to be a star.
>> Yes.
>> Because of the energy that she had, >> screeching and everything like that was a badass scene. It was It was gross. It was uncomfortable. Mhm.
>> But like I said, when old Cliff Booth is like hitting that girl's face against the uh the fireplace mantel, >> I think maybe twice probably would have done it.
You didn't need to do it 44 times.
And you know, you see Austin Butler, I love Austin Butler. I love Alpuccino.
All but it just it seemed like a lot >> a lot was just unnecessary. And I love Bruce D.
He found all these people before they were famous. Is >> I know. No. And it's how crazy is that?
Cindy Sweeny's in it. Like all these freaking >> Yeah. There there is there is a ton of talent in it.
>> Um I just wish it was a better movie.
That's that's it. Right. But I will say I did love watching Cliff uh punch the one dude and then make him change his tire.
>> Yeah. Like I'm like, "Yes, >> this isn't my car. This is my boss's car."
>> Yeah, fix it. I don't crunch. Fix it.
>> So, yeah.
>> I'm curious. The The next one's going to be with David Fincher directing.
>> Hey. Yeah. See, I'll watch that because Hey, they did something smart. Hey, you know the only interesting part about the movie Cliff Booth? Let's make a movie about him.
Yeah. And maybe Bruce Lee will show up again. I'm not mad I watched it or anything like that. I didn't think it was a waste of my time, but I was like, "Wow, there is a lot."
>> There's a lot.
>> Yeah.
>> I'm all right with that.
>> Yeah.
>> It would have been about 40 minutes long.
>> I'm not fighting you on this.
>> Well, I'm not trying to defend it or I'm not trying to like dog it. It's just like my opinion. Nice shirt, Brad Pit.
All right, next one. Nice Hawaiian shirt.
>> Nice Hawaiian shirt.
Uh, next I watched the Devil May Cry season 2. I was a big fan of the first one. I'm a big fan of the second one.
And yes, they actually have Ebony and Ivory in this one.
>> Which you kind of was like, you know what?
Maybe I'm just an easy guy, but that's enough for me. Had Ebony and Ivory in it. It's got really cool sword fights.
You got twins. You got demons. You got Dante who is surfing on a rocket that he shot and then chased after and caught up. You got compelling villains and some really cool fight scenes.
I mean, it's Devil May Cry if you if you'll that's what the video game was.
So, I mean, you you can pull whatever kind of story you want. I I will say this story was not as compelling as the first season, but it's still there. And there's no doubt that this is going to get a season three and probably just continue on until people get so completely bored of it.
>> Well, nothing gets over was it? Nothing gets over three seasons with Netflix.
That's >> That's true. That's true.
>> Hey, this was great. I would like some more. No. No.
>> Hey, how does Blow end get?
>> Yeah. Oh my god. I'm still upset about that cuz they got renewed, too.
>> Yes.
>> And I'm just like, what the [ __ ] guys?
H, hey, we'll pay for it. Nah, we're good.
>> I do wonder if it's gonna get like that um Acme movie treatment like they they built it then they just squash it and then another studio bought it. They might do that with Glow if they can shop it around. I don't know how the exclusive Netflix >> I think everybody's too old now.
>> Yeah, Alison Brie has lost all muscle and just gone complete stick and Well, no. Isn't she She's going to be in the He-Man movie.
>> Alison B. Oh, yeah. Wait, who is she? Is she she the bad guy?
>> Tin evil. Evil. Yeah.
>> Evil. Yeah, >> it looks pretty good.
>> Okay.
>> Yeah, he looks excited.
>> I'm I'm so concerned. I'm I'm concerned about that one.
>> I am too.
Like I still I mean I don't know like like just some of the [ __ ] that people have been saying. I'm just like please stop talking.
>> Just just release the movie please.
>> Yeah. I don't watch any of that. There's some movies I don't want to watch anything about. And I'm such a big He-Man fan that definitely I'm not going to watch anything just the movie.
It's like start the the Mandalorian Grou like it comes out tomorrow night >> and I just you know let's see what the eight o'clock showing is tomorrow night >> like oh it's a 100 film theater and there's four people in there >> and it's like man what do you >> I don't know >> well I don't know if you can actually uh tell the quality of a movie by the audience anymore. Oh, no. I mean, that's completely fair.
>> It's fair. Yeah.
>> But I don't know.
>> We'll see. I want it to be good. Look, I don't ever want anything to be bad. I want everything to be great.
>> There's a there's a guy on YouTube, Movie Bob, who I usually trust. He's like, I give it a nine. He's like, it's just puppets in space doing Star Wars [ __ ] What else do you expect? I'm like, okay.
>> That's kind of what I expect.
>> I've heard a lot of people just saying that. Well, not >> Yeah. Not what's it called? But the what's it called? Mandalorian and Grouku. Basically saying that it's just a a couple of episodes of the show.
>> Yeah.
>> Kind of stitched together. But you know, I don't know. I haven't seen it. So, >> well, the the the telling thing was they canceled. So, they were tying all three of their things together with movies and apparently they canceled it.
>> Oh.
>> So, like the Ahsoka thing was tying in with the Mandalorian and so apparently they can.
>> Are they still doing the Ahsoka thing?
Yep.
>> Oh god. Rosario Dawson. I really like her, but she is just she I'm sorry. She They need to make sure that they have a body double doing all of her fight scenes because she is way too slow.
>> Pick it up. Pick it up. Mercer, let's go. Come on. Can somebody get fast forward on this thing?
>> She moves like an old woman. And I mean, I know that she's older, but she looks great for her age, but she does not she does not fight like she does not move like a you know, >> she she needs to fight like people listen to podcasts. Like one and a half speed.
>> One and a half speed. Yeah.
Well, what else did I watch here?
Oh, yeah.
>> Oh, Gruntfest.
>> Yeah. Uh, the Grunting Roar is uh what pretty much this was. The Punisher one last kill.
I Carly, you said you only watched the last 20 minutes of it.
>> I did. Yeah. I was like, what kind of ending was that though? And I'm not going to spoil anything, but I was just like, that was the ending?
>> Oh, >> what?
>> Oh. Then you do need to watch the beginning.
>> Okay. Is that going to make the ending make sense?
>> Yes. It's going to make it satisfying.
>> Okay.
>> Yeah.
>> Because I have questions for you after the show because like I said, I don't I don't want to spoil anything. So >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, uh I mean this is uh Frank Castle Sojourn into kind of insanity because anyone doesn't know Frank Castle. I've been reading the comics. I was reading the magazines.
He is a disturbed disturbed person and it really leans into how disturbed he is. Now this kind of takes place after Frank has killed all the all the mafia presence.
So what old Frank doesn't realize is sometimes mafia presence will keep crime down.
And unless Frank is going to kill every criminal, guess what? They kind of run rampant in the city.
And he just, well, one of the crime family persons survive and they put a hit out on him.
Well, he hits back and he grunts back and he growls back and he roars back and it is kind of a whole lot of nothing.
But [ __ ] it was fun to watch. Well, especially that last like 20 minutes or so, that was >> that was the >> As soon as you see old Frank get his legs caught on fire, you know, like, okay, shit's about to go down.
>> [ __ ] went down.
>> Is this something you guys knew was coming out?
>> Uh, >> or did it just appear?
>> Um, yeah, I had no idea it was coming out.
>> I'd heard that they were doing something and they called it Punisher One Last Kill. Mhm.
>> Um, but it is kind of setting up him to be in the Spider-Man movie.
>> Oh, okay.
>> As the So, what is your be who do you think played the Punisher best?
>> We got Dolph Lungren, Thomas Jane, >> Ray Stevenson, >> and John Barrenthol.
I Ray Stevenson.
>> Yes. Thank you. Oh my god. I was so hoping you'd say that. I think that that is the closest to Frank Castle we have ever gotten.
>> I think that John Bernthal makes way too much noise. I'm sorry.
>> Isn't the Ray Stevenson the only >> Punisher War Zone?
>> So like the Thomas Jane one was PG-13 or was that R?
>> I can't remember. Um >> it was PG-13. It may have been only PG-13. I know that War Zone was definitely rated R.
>> Yeah. And I think that's kind of like I know they pushed the limits with Barrenthal one, but it's not, >> you know, >> I mean, I like his I like his performance. It's just >> Yeah, me too.
>> It just is not Frank Castle in my opinion. I think I feel like Ray Stevenson with the clean cut looks way more like, you know, >> he looks more menacing.
>> Yeah.
>> And he looks just larger. And it, like I said, love John Barrenthal, but as far as like a movie goes, yeah, it was it was great. He was great. He was great.
>> Rest in peace.
>> Rest in peace. God damn it.
>> I know.
>> [ __ ] Losing all the good ones. Th This will not take an hour to watch.
>> No.
>> Like it says it's like 44 minutes or something like that. It I liked it. I thought it was [ __ ] cool and it kind of like a bit of a raidesque kind of thing. But >> Mhm.
>> Um, and it's got the, uh, Angela from Who's the Boss?
>> Who's the Boss? Yeah. I was looking at her. I was like, is that the chick from Who's the Boss?
>> Yeah. And Trey paused it and I was like, it is her. Okay.
>> Yep.
>> Judith Light.
>> Judith Light. Yep. She's good. She's [ __ ] good. She And she looks good.
>> Yeah.
>> Like she's 104.
It pays to be the boss.
>> Yeah.
And the next movie I watched was one that I wanted to see in theater, but of course it's Canada, so it doesn't play anywhere [ __ ] near me.
>> But it popped out on streaming, and that's Lauren, the kind of biographical tale of Lauren Michaels, Mr. Saturday Night Basically, they had genius and I will say genius behind Saturday Night Live because that show should not work and it should not have worked for this long.
But watching how he painstakingly goes through everything, it's like everybody has not good or bad things to say about him. They you could just tell the admiration and respect that he holds when he walks in a room or when he is going over the show, but I will say he is a bit of an [ __ ] I was about to say like I think they're Yeah. like he is I mean I know he is responsible for the show but the cast is responsible for the show and I just I don't know maybe because you never see like the work that he puts in well you do in this but I think the first words are uh this is Lauren hiding from the camera because Lauren doesn't do interviews >> right >> and he's like this is going to be a hard documentary because Lauren refuses to wear a microphone, you know. So, it's just little things like that. But, I mean, quite the quite the fascinating man, quite a fascinating story. So, if if you are at all curious about the ups and downs, the ins and outs, they don't go completely all the way through it, but I think they enjoy talking about his process, where it come from, where it is. And you know what? He's not done yet. He has got quite the fascinating career.
>> And is he >> is he tarnishing his legacy by still hold like by not walking away?
>> Well, >> because you see you see more and more quote unquote boomers doing it where they're just holding on and just will not let things go.
Well, I mean, I don't think he has to let things go only because he's not holding it back because I don't know what Saturday Night Live would be without him.
But, I mean, it's worked this long with him. Even when it was, you know, not the greatest, it was still pretty good.
>> Yeah.
>> And just shifting a little bit and changing a few ideas and doing things.
He is completely instrumental in everything that happens and it is just uh it is really fascinating to see >> to see how it worked and how he works. I mean he has got two kids that you will never ever see in the limelight. You'll never hear anything from them because he wasn't raised that way. Like he has got more money than God.
Like he's done pretty [ __ ] well. Wow.
>> And he did he did step away from Saturday Night Live >> and they they called him back >> like in in the show's infancy.
>> And then you have um like the movie, what is it? Saturday Night or >> Yep.
>> Yeah. That um kind of teased a little bit, but you you didn't get the you didn't get the full story.
>> No. And and I know that it's Listen, I want to see this and I want to see the Marty um Marty Doc 2 came out. Um Martin for Martin Short.
>> Yeah.
Yeah. I mean I think you know what's kind of funny.
Uh you have the Hulk Hogan documentary.
You know, you got the Lauren Michaels documentary. You got I think they're getting all these guys in their Twilight before they die.
>> Well, and that's >> Tell your story before you die, please.
cuz they're they're the last of an entertainment generation. I mean, they're the ones that started and are still kicking around cuz they're like in their 80s, >> which is it.
>> But I I don't think it's extremely impressive. Chris, I don't think them being here is taking away from any other entertainment. You know, it's not like there's only five spots of entertaining people and a guy's going to hang around till he's like [ __ ] George Burns live a 100. Okay, now he's dead. Okay, now somebody else funny can come up.
>> You know, I I don't know. Like the the rumor is that you know it would be like Seth Meyers and Tina Fey would be the ones that would you know take over >> possibly >> for more or less >> or Colin Yoast and whatever you know like >> you know it it all depends on well I mean like it's it's the the writer guys that usually get a lot of it. It's I I don't know there there's things that Saturday Night Live does really well there's things that it doesn't. I still uh the the Kate McKinnon singing thing during the Trump thing really >> turned me off to it.
>> Um but you know like them making the great joke after 911 was like that's that's to me high and low of modern day.
>> Yeah. Yeah. You got to be careful.
>> Yeah. where >> but I mean >> what sab is is a a cast that creates characters.
>> I mean you've got like Wayne from Wayne's World. Everyone still remembers that [ __ ] The church lady >> goth talk.
>> What's that?
>> Goth talk.
>> Goth talk.
>> Azrael Abyss.
>> Yeah.
>> I worked at Cinnabon.
>> Oh god. The 90s. I'm sorry. I still am always gonna believe that the 90s was peak SNL. I mean, there was some great stuff in the 80s, too.
>> Oh, yeah. No, >> I would argue that the 80s was awful.
>> I've heard that it's great. I don't know. I don't I haven't watched much of it, but yeah.
>> Yeah. I mean, like right now it's like, okay, well, there's like one thing that will come out a week. We'll see like one or two skits, and usually weekend updates pretty good. I mean, they do have a couple people I really like on there now. I'm just curious where it's going to go. And, you know, I would would like it to see I think I think they really kind of failed us during the Obama years and it just kind of I don't not not to get political like to me they should be go attacking everybody.
>> Oh, yeah. Absolutely.
>> Of course. And and I think they they they they had a little bit of worship go on that that really derailed it for years. And >> yeah, >> but I mean it is what it is.
>> It is what it is. So Carly, what is was you as what you >> is what you >> what do you watch?
>> I didn't watch very much.
>> I I just had a stroke. It's okay.
>> That's okay.
All right. Um, so the first thing that I watched was Mortal Kombat 2 and um, yeah, it was a movie. It was better than part one.
>> That's what I said. Yeah, they my money.
>> I still think it was it was a little bit too long.
>> Um, the best fight scene in my opinion, well, the two best fight scenes in my opinion were the Liu Kang versus Kung Lao >> and Johnny Cage versus Baraka.
>> Heck yeah. Um although I'm not quite sure how I feel about them kind of making Baraka kind of a joke. Um I mean I still liked it.
>> I was on the about that it works for the movie but yeah but for the game it's like dude Baraka was like a badass. I don't know.
>> The badass.
>> Yeah. But um >> but I did like Johnny [ __ ] cage.
>> Yeah. He did a great job. Um, I'm really glad that they um that Cole was taken care of because he was like not a very good character.
>> Well, they um I don't want to say they did them dirty, but they they just >> a little bit. Yeah, >> it was kind of mean. It was very mean-spirited, but um >> they poured off to do their fights and such and Oh, fights and they come back.
Hey, where's Cole?
>> Oh, no. Oh, well, >> I guess he's dead or whatever. But, um, >> you know, we can bring him back. We got this necromancer. We can bring people back to life. No, we're not doing that.
Uh, we're not doing that.
>> No, not him. Well, I mean, I don't know if you can bring him back with the way that he was disposed of.
>> That's true.
>> Oh god. But no, I and I liked the fact that they had like, you know, um sets that look like certain levels of the game and of course they had the different moves from some of the games.
>> That was really cool.
>> I like I like that with the um the Kungla Liu Kang fight.
>> Oh yeah, >> the abyss in the background. And >> yeah, that was that was a cool fight. Oh man, >> it's pretty great. Um, I will say that both Trey and I had the same comment about Katana's outfit. Um, because I I love Katana in the game and I like the character in the movie. Um, but it we both had the same kind of thought. I was we were both like I kind of feel like she should have had bigger boobies for wearing that.
>> But like but I also get it because how are you going to fight with such huge knockers? You know what I mean? It's going to be kind of hard to fight if you have big boobs. So, it still works.
>> We We now have the uh title of the episode.
>> Huge knockers. Should have had >> How do you How do you fight with such huge knockers?
>> I feel like if they would get in the way, so I get it. Um but yeah, I really liked all of their costumes and stuff.
It was bright. It looked like the games.
Um but yeah, it's just a little too long in the tooth. I feel like they could have shaved 10 minutes off at least made it a little bit tighter.
>> But yeah.
>> Yeah, they could have. They could have killed Cole a lot quicker.
>> At least.
>> At least. Poor Cole.
>> Gold Co.
>> Well, we still remember his name. I don't know why.
>> Right. Well, I know. Well, it's just cuz he's so memorable.
>> Yes. Stupid shirt.
>> All right. And then the second thing that I watched is Hope and Glory. And this came out in 2024. It's actually available on YouTube. And it is a MadMax fan-made film adapted from the Mad Max Fury Road tie-in comic.
>> Oh, sweet.
>> Yeah. And so this is it's 40 minutes. It has very especially for a fan-made film, very high production values. Uh it's got a score by the Budapest Symphony Orchestra, and they even have customuilt vehicles in it. Um, of course, as you can see, they use the same color palette as Fury Road. Um, they spent two years building two Interceptors, one to drive and of course, one for stunts. And the plot of this actually centers around, who would have thunk it, Max Rockatansky.
Um, because, you know, Fury Road really didn't, at least he felt more like a side character.
>> Yeah.
So, this centers around him. Um, he's basically just crossing the wasteland on his own, searching for Guzelene. And he crosses paths with a woman named Hope who promises him an endless amount of gueline in ex in exchange for her freedom. Uh, but of course, before he can collect that, he must rescue a little girl called Glory from the barbaric hordes in the sunken city.
>> Cool. And so this is um yeah, it was uh it was very entertaining and like I said, it's only 40 minutes long. It's available on YouTube. Um really liked it.
>> I can watch this. I'm gonna watch this because I I like the universe that they set up. But like you said, like, >> hey, there's a guy named Max in it. You might want to put the camera on him.
>> And he's even got his uh he's got his what's it called? The leg brace from the original series.
>> Sweet. Um, yeah. I thought it was great.
>> No, the the only thing that I didn't like about it, there was like one of the characters that is in one of the cities or whatever. Um, you'll know when you see him. He was a little distracting, but everybody else was great in it. I thought it was really, really fantastic, especially for a fan-made film. I was very impressed.
I'm completely blown away that people do this, >> right?
>> You know, I think that's really [ __ ] cool.
>> Yeah. Apparently, it took about three years to to put together. And yeah, I don't know. It's It's definitely worth checking out, especially if you like Mad Max at all. Definitely recommend it.
>> Sweet.
>> Cool.
>> And that's all that I watched.
>> That's plenty.
>> A lot of 90s stuff.
Is there anything anybody has plans to watch?
>> Oh, Obsession.
I'm totally going to go see that this weekend.
>> Let me know. I don't think I'm going to be able to.
>> I don't know if you will be able to either from what I've heard.
>> From what I Yeah, I Yeah. Oh, it's amazing. It's amazing. I don't think you'll like it.
>> Yeah.
>> It's not a matter of liking it, can I get through it, >> right?
>> Well, I'm I'm gonna go see Old Mando and Grou. Why not? I' I've enjoyed I don't I don't understand the uh the hate that people are giving the shows, stuff like that. It's like, hey, if you don't like it, don't [ __ ] watch it, >> right?
>> Um and you don't have to go see the movie. You know, no one's making you do this.
>> I mean, to be fair, I haven't heard a lot of hate towards the movie. I've just heard a lot of narrative.
>> Yeah. But yeah, >> but I mean, does it is it going to have like there there's a couple [ __ ] huts in it and I like the shiny armor and [ __ ] so I'm I'm just going to go have fun.
>> I'm I'm currently watching Margot Has Money Problems.
>> Oh, okay.
>> I'm [ __ ] loving that and hating it at the same time.
And god damn, Nick Offerman is a [ __ ] national treasure. like he is so good in it. He is so [ __ ] good. Everybody's great in it. But uh Dave, you mentioned that it it was kind of hard to watch because of the flagrant toplessness of >> Yeah, I thought it was a little it was a little distracting and I can't believe I'm saying that. Like >> not in a good way. like like listen I am not um I'm not championing championing championing champion the name you're also not champion I I'm not I'm not a member of the see let's see less boobs fan club like >> yes please more boobs but I mean just less of hers >> yeah I mean they're nice boobs but I mean it just I feel weird Wait, did we even say who whose boobies they were?
>> Did you guys say El Fanning? Okay, there you go.
>> Yeah, >> I think when you say sister, it's the younger sister.
>> When you say younger sister of Dakota Fanning, it makes it even more weird.
Yeah. Let's see. Jesus.
>> Yeah.
>> So, yeah, it all depends.
>> It's a good story. Uh, made me feel like uncomfortable, made me cry, made me laugh. I'm really enjoying that. And that's >> it's a different take on poverty, single motherhood, what it takes to raise a baby, the responsibility, you know.
>> Yeah.
>> Coming from broken homes, like and then like adults that are broken and, you know, so like, yeah, I I like it. I'm kind of, you know, popping in and out and hope to catch up on it. Um, I'm hate watching um, Euphoria and just it's just >> it's like there there's moments where this this thing is so good and there's moments where it's just so bad and it's obvious that like none of the actors can get together for long enough to work together. So, it's a lot of like >> they're on their own, they're on their own, they're like they must I came in for 15 minutes.
>> Oh jeez. throw my boobs and then you know, you know, it's >> a lot of >> a lot of boob central talk.
>> Too much. Those are too small.
>> They just flash that one not fast enough. Yep.
>> Uh let's see. Exit 8 is on my radar. It >> just made it like that, too.
>> It's all right. So, >> it's based off of a game, I Yeah, it's it's off of a game where you're like in an infinite infinite loop and you have to like >> escape subway station or something.
>> Okay.
>> So, it's it's it >> it's foreign.
>> It's apparently pretty good of like it it's a very real game to, you know, movie adaptation.
>> So, >> cool. Cool.
>> Yeah, it is. So, I don't know. We'll we'll see. There's tons of stuff in the theaters and there's tons of stuff that just got pulled like quick. Like I wanted to see like the Christophers and like there's all these little movies that just seem to go for a week and then just disappear.
>> Yeah.
>> But the Netflix season two of movies.
>> Well, I do have one thing. Um Brad, if you could >> Yes. Yes.
of >> Hoping Glory. So, Hoping Glory that >> uh I'd like to do a weekly we're going to see how this goes and see how it is of uh what are the best Hawaiian shirts in TV and film. I'm going to make this an ever updating list.
>> Heck yeah.
>> So, hopefully it'll just be a minute of time every week and we'll go over Hawaiian shirts. Uh to start them all off is the king And that would be Tom Celich >> in the bright red with the purple parrot.
>> Yep.
>> Hawaiian. This is the iconic Magnum PI one.
>> And he didn't look silly in it. It's a silly shirt.
>> Oh, no.
>> It's a silly ass shirt, but he pulled that up. But I mean, Christ, it's Tom Celic.
>> I know, right? Look at that chest hair and that mustache.
>> But it was it was on one of the podcasts that I heard. It was just like, "Oh, yo, how have they not done a, you know, three octagenarians and a, you know, granddaughter yet?" Like, I was like, "Tom, Tom Tom Celich, uh, Ted Dansen and Steve Gutenberg." Where Ted Ted Dansen is what, 75 at this point?
>> 78.
>> 78.
>> Yeah, Ted Dansen is 78 years old.
>> Oh, boy. They're all gonna start passing away soon. I'm going to be really >> I'm sorry. People don't live that long.
Okay.
>> No, I know. Well, see, that's the thing.
Where's Where's the Ted Dancing documentary? You got to get him before he dies.
>> Yeah.
>> But see, he's he's still like acting like he's >> Yeah. Man on the Inside. He was um >> like he's he's constantly working.
>> Like I don't think we're going to lose Ted Dansen >> anytime soon.
>> Anytime soon. Like, >> but like he's just someone like he's he just looks like a gray skinnier version of himself. He >> Yeah, >> I think he, you know, he's like a 78-year-old version of himself because he's 78.
>> He's going to be this generation, not this that generation's uh Dick Van Djk.
>> Yeah. Actually, he he does a podcast.
Him and Woody Harelson um do a podcast and they just had Harrison Ford on it. Oh god.
>> So that was entertaining as all.
>> I thought >> now one of the things watching shrinking Harrison Ford does have a little bit of the old man voice.
Ted Dansen does not have old man voice at all.
>> Yeah.
>> No, not at all.
>> Yeah, >> it it's I used to remember there was one comedy it was I think it might have been was it old school that it was just like when you get the 11s it's time to go.
It's like the two veins here that make >> Oh, the 11. Really?
>> Yeah. And it's one of those like to me it's when you start getting the old man voice, that's when it that's when it starts getting a little sad.
>> Okay. Well, what about like Kurt Russell?
He's >> he's 45.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. But how old's Kurt Russell?
>> I think he's in his 70s. Like early 70s, >> I think. So too >> cuz I think he's just a little bit younger than my mother.
>> Okay.
>> She's definitely in her 70s.
>> He's 75. Jeez.
>> Wow. Okay. So he's like maybe one or two years younger than my mom.
>> Okay.
>> I don't know. I'm I'm just talking about old guys that I really they got to documentaries on these guys really quick before they go.
>> Yeah.
I mean like most of the Kurt Russell stuff we kind of already know and he's you know because he was in the great DVD revolution where they just said hey we're going to make a mini documentary of every single movie that's made.
>> That's true. That's true.
>> You know and and he was on he was a he was a Disney kid.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> You know it's funny like I've seen him in interviews with him and his son who looks nothing like him.
>> Oh I know. Well he looks like a derpy version of him. Yeah.
>> I hate to say that.
>> Isn't that that funny where it's just like you you have Goldie Horn's kid and you're like, "Yep, that's Goldie Horn's kid." And you have, "Yep, nope, that's maybe that's >> Yeah. Old Oliver Hudson. He's a looker.
>> I I don't know, man. I just I'm curious where it's all or you know, Bill Pullman's kid." I'm like, "Yep, that's Bill."
>> Just like Bill Pullman.
I almost watched the Octopus movie with him and Sally Field. I didn't want to cry, so I just like I think that's just a tearjerker.
>> Okay.
>> Uh, you know, is what it is.
>> All right. So, hey, are we done?
>> Yeah, I think so.
>> Yeah, I think we're good. I >> think we're good. I think we're good.
>> Yeah, sounds good.
>> All right. Well, thanks for playing everybody and uh well, we'll be back next week with a new topic. And whoever picks a topic, remember, you got to text your answers out fast to everybody so >> you don't uh you don't get caught with them. So, we'll see you guys next week.
Thanks a lot.
>> Bye.
>> See you.
