[00:00:00]If you think sharks are just fish, you're wrong. They are literally older than the concept of a tree. The first trees appeared on Earth about 350 million years ago. But sharks? Sharks have been patrolling our oceans for over 450 million years. That means sharks existed for 100 million years before a single leaf grew on this planet. It gets weirder. Sharks are actually older than the rings of Saturn. Most people think those rings are ancient, but they only formed about 10 to 100 million years ago. They have survived four out of the five mass extinctions. They saw the dinosaurs rise and they watched them fall. Nature perfected the shark nearly half a billion years ago and basically said, "I don't need to change a thing."
