Now, I saw several posts about this online that kind of framed it as some giant big doom warning with a lot of fear-mongering. But, I'm reading it as the most useful calendar anyone who's trying to learn AI could ever be handed because Anthropic literally just gave us a timeline. So, what they said is that within 3 years there's a 60% chance that AI will be training its own successor. And I think diving even further into the data is pretty crazy here because in 2022 AI could do 30 seconds of independent work.

[00:00:34]And today it's around 12 hours before it breaks. But, by the end of this year they're anticipating 100-hour runs. And most big tech shifts truly blindside people. If you think about the internet, smartphones, or social media, none of those came with a 3-year warning from the people who are building it, but this one does. So, instead of thinking of it as scary news, I think you should use it as motivation. The people who learn to work with AI right now have 36 months to position themselves well before that curve literally turns vertical.
