MY ADVENTURES WITH SUPERMAN 3x6 REACTION | Party Animal | Review

[00:00:00]Welcome back Dennis to the Ani-Verse for episode six of season three of My Adventures with Superman. Last episode we've defeated Cyborg Superman at the cost of Clark's powers. After everybody was else threatened and getting overpowered and just before John was about to be killed by him, Clark dug down deep and expended every ounce of power that he had stored up in his body.

[00:00:22]So much so that he was able to take him out, but in exchange for losing his powers. And while we stopped Cyborg Superman and prevented that future from unfolding, a new one has now taken its place where Luther rules with an iron fist over everything alongside an army of Superman drones. And once again, John is trying to figure out how to make his way back and try to get this changed yet again. Um again, we don't know if it's the same John, if he remembers anything that came before or anything like that, but the future is still bleak. Different, but bleak. We changed things, um but yeah, what are we going to do now with uh without Clark's powers? You know, we still have Supergirl here.

[00:01:03]John's gone, so she's alone to like take and fill that position. At least for now, for the time being until Clark will probably get his powers back at some point, but I don't think it's going to be swift, a swift return. But yeah, let's see what happens, man. [00:06:33]We haven't seen him in a while it feels like. He's another person that could join the fray and do something, but like yeah, he's working in an ice cream shop.

[00:06:45]How did he apply? How did he get the job? I know he was educated. Like he clearly was.

[00:06:50]At least to some degree, but like there's other requirements for for actually getting a job. That's so funny though. That's adorable.

[00:06:59]>> Supergirl is expected to be at the humanitarian gala tonight to accept her award, but will Superman be there to join her?

[00:21:52]I just had a thought. We [snorts] just did We We just did like the Future Trunks situation from uh in the last bit with Cyborg Superman.

[00:22:03]Now we have this new thing. What if now we're doing the reverse?

[00:22:08]What if they're brought to the future instead, ala Goku Black?

[00:22:14]To help with it instead.

[00:22:16]When they couldn't be sent back, maybe they're sent forward.

[00:22:23]And Yeah, we're going to just hit credits, aren't we, though?

[00:22:33]Yeah, I completely forgot about Dr. Poison. I I don't remember I don't know that I've ever actually committed her name to memory.

[00:22:46]Uh let's see.

[00:22:49]I'm just wondering if it is Yeah, Princess Maru. The original Dr. Poison was the Princess Ma- Maru.

[00:22:55]Um I think they changed up, though, her her origins cuz she didn't work for She wasn't Markovian originally.

[00:23:06]I mean, she most certainly wasn't in Wonder Woman when they brought her back around as well.

[00:23:10]No. No, she was German in the original iteration.

[00:23:16]They just adapted that to kind of maybe probably just to avoid that conversation altogether.

[00:23:20]But, her poison was turning people into animals, so that we could keep up that lovely little theme throughout this season of Jimmy turning into an animal of a different sort. It's I'm a turtle.

[00:23:31]But, uh yeah, um coming in here to disrupt everything and try to reshape the world starting here using Jimmy to get access into this because he was one of the awards winners.

[00:23:44]Um it was an interesting little ploy.

[00:23:47]And yes, Vicki was barking up the wrong ass tree.

[00:23:51]But, interesting that um I don't know. I was wondering if they were going to do anything though with that threat comment though, like her perspective, her point of view.

[00:24:01]And now it's kind of like uh goes against the grain of what is typically I guess the standard or tradition in Markovia. And I Well, that went a very different way, didn't it? I think that was definitely there to disarm us in a in a big bad way. Meanwhile, all of this was going on and her entire detail setting up at the dam. Also, with Superman not being here, the whole thing was to kind of split and divide and conquer them.

[00:24:27]But, he couldn't be here.

[00:24:29]I don't even know what the what the the like the public doesn't know about him.

[00:24:33]But, thankfully though, thankfully though, while Kara had to go deal with the dam, our group actually did a pretty good job stopping all of this. And when thing they were about to get away, Bizarro stepped up, inspired by his friend to kind of like put on don the costume and save the day.

[00:24:52]Bad dog. Love it. Um headed them off and then apprehended them. Didn't hurt anybody, broke all of their guns, tied them all up Ninja Turtle style, left them for everybody to be to to find them. And I I get where Clark's coming from feeling the way he does. I mean going from some having all of these powers and these things like Superman to being Clark, like that has to like confront his identity or or mangle and conflict with his identity so so much.

[00:25:22]Especially watching everybody else jump into action do all this, but like he's like very much so and I get why he's doing it. He's very much so underselling his contribution. The kids were being held at gunpoint, man, and he intervened. Yeah, he all I did was take a bullet. No, all you did was save them from that guy. Yes, you took a bullet, but you knocked that dude out.

[00:25:44]Did another one show up? Yes, but he still was actively protecting the kids and then him and Lois and them together actually got them through this whole thing, you know. Um Lois just thought on her feet like up there in the vents and and thought of something that would help in the in the matter and it and it did at least with the other crocodiles. So it's like I mean if you're looking at a body count the body count, he took one guard out, she took one guard out. So it's like it's it's it's just he's just like the rest of them now, but like that's so much diminishing for him. It makes him feel like like less than as opposed to being a part of this like that clip that he didn't have any contribution in this when he very much so did.

[00:26:26]Um And now they've been ported out of here.

[00:26:30]You know, I don't know who else would have opened this little these little portals and suck these specific people away.

[00:26:37]Um but Also also also, something I wanted to comment on that I I didn't really think about in the moment, rewatching rewatching um last week's episode with that little tease at the end of it with the the new future Lex, his color palette and his design is very Frieza-like.

[00:27:01]Like the color choices as well and the placement of certain design elements like his pauldrons and all this and while he still got his face like everything else is very Frieza inspired which I I thought was real cute.

[00:27:13]And I didn't notice that the first time through watching it or at least it didn't click yet cuz I was still just like processing everything that happened. Um but yeah, interesting though like the evil Superman parallels like if you they're being pulled into the future. Again, I'm assuming that's happening. I could be completely off of base about that, but if they are, it just there's interesting that we started with Cyborg Superman as opposed to the the Frieza parallel because that works more cuz he's a corrupted emblematic version that wears the visage and the appearance and the presentation of a Superman much like Goku Black took on the visage of Goku to be used against the people.

[00:27:54]You know, we started with that and then did the initial comeback you know interference from the future to prevent that where you know where that was originally the Frieza parallel when Trunks would come in, he diced him up and then they dealt with the Androids later.

[00:28:09]Now we're doing the It's like we're mixing matching the the two Trunks storylines in an in an interesting way.

[00:28:14]Again, assuming that's where we go with this, but that's the only way I can feel like that's going to go that will play out, but like how's that going to go with Clark not having powers and him being pulled into the future? He wouldn't be able to help. Maybe it's something else all together. It could be completely separate for all we know. I mean, we don't have a lot of episodes left though. We have four episodes after this and we have that storyline to resolve, so that's why I'm like it's got to be related to the future timeline thing.

[00:28:39]You know, I like though that we have this episode to deal with how this is affecting Clark jumping ahead 1 month and seeing the struggle that he has of being without these powers and how that like affects his self-value, but he still powerless or not, he still had in the middle of this museum this weird Kryptonian vision. He started hearing the whispers. He's hearing the Kryptonian voices calling to him. He got summoned in this Kryptonian structure as you see in the stuff and fire rain.

[00:29:06]Don't know what the hell that was.

[00:29:09]Um but I don't know.

[00:29:13]Kara and Jimmy have finally aired out their issues though.

[00:29:16]Jimmy not talking to her and not treating her as a friend first either seems to have definitely hurt things quite a bit.

[00:29:25]And yeah, I I'm not surprised. Well, again, we've talked about this before. I understand where he's coming from and I don't disagree with the way he's talking about things for her being here, but at the same time he's completely discounting her feelings and he hasn't even addressed them at all.

[00:29:41]He's created this own narrative in his head about it because of his own feelings of inadequacy that he's made that the story rather than actually engaging with her and actually asking anything and because he's never asked her about anything now she's like, well, you never asked. Why you why you know, what what what is this now?

[00:29:59]What are we? You know, so all of it's starting to crumble despite the fact that a lot was revealed in this episode about their feelings.

[00:30:08]Um we'll see how they navigate that though. I mean, they were all brought together wherever the hell they went, wherever the hell they got teleported to. They're all going together as a great unit. So, we'll see.

[00:30:19]Awesome episode, man. I'm really excited to see where they go with this Bizarro thing.

[00:30:23][ __ ] though, if they were ported away from here, I mean, Kara got swept up into it too, right? I didn't missee that, right?

[00:30:33]Hold up. It was like right here. I see it like right under her feet.

[00:30:42]So, if they're gone, we lost Superman, they just lost Supergirl, it might just be left to Bizarro now.

[00:30:49]Or whatever mechanized monstrosities that Lex makes in the absence of a cyborg Superman.

[00:30:57]Hell, maybe maybe Steel will finally join the fray again. Who knows?
