These lessons may sound like simple platitudes, but they represent the rare clarity that only comes when a lifetime of ego finally gives way to lived experience. The value here isn't in the novelty of the advice, but in the 75-year weight behind the realization that peace is more practical than pride.

10 Lessons from 75 years of life. Listen closely | Stoicism
Added:It took me 75 years to learn these 10 things. Listen carefully because some lessons take a lifetime to understand.
Here are 10 life lessons it took me 75 years to learn.
One, I stopped correcting people even when I know they're wrong. Peace is more valuable than proving a point. Two, I give compliments freely now. Kind words cost nothing but they can change someone's entire day. Three, I stopped arguing over small money with people working harder than I ever did. Respect matters more than winning pennies.
Four, I leave generosity wherever I go. You never know what weight someone is carrying home tonight. Five, I stopped locking my emotions away. Feeling deeply isn't weakness, it's proof you're alive.
Six, I stopped chasing people who didn't want to stay. Some freedom only comes when you finally let go.
Seven, I stopped competing with people running a different race. Your path is yours alone. Walk it with dignity.
Eight, I keep my complaints lighter than my gratitude.
Everyone is carrying something you cannot see.
Nine, I stopped waiting for happiness to arrive. Happiness is not something you find, it's something you choose each morning.
10, and this one took me the longest. I finally started loving myself the way I spent years loving everyone else. And here comes the most important part. Life doesn't teach softly, it teaches honestly. But if you listen to the lessons early, you won't need 75 years to learn them.
If any of these lessons reached you today, follow me. Life teaches slowly but wisdom becomes powerful the moment you start listening.
