[00:00:00]Fun fact, NORAD scrambled fighter jets to escort an Air Canada flight into Montreal airport after it was discovered someone on the flight might be flying with a stolen identity. On March 18th, a man arrived at the airport to board his Air Canada flight. But when they scanned his customer loyalty card at check-in, the system showed he was already on a flight from Brussels to Montreal. And it appeared the man's identity had been stolen. So, the check-in staff contacted the authorities. Due to the heightened state of the world, NORAD sent up CF-18s and F-16s to escort the plane to the airport where they closed one of the runways to ensure a safe landing. After the plane landed, police arrested the fraudster and bomb sniffing dog searched the plane. The police later found the fraudster hadn't stolen the man's identity, but had instead stolen his customer loyalty card number and used the man's loyalty points to book his flight. The fraudster was then released as the investigation continues.
