[00:00:00]Hey everybody, how's it going? Hope you're having a lovely day. My apologies for the wind noise. I don't have my microphone. I've traveled a little bit for this video. My girlfriend's mother is in critical condition at a hospital and over the past week, they have told her not once, not twice, not three, but four times that her mother hates her and wants nothing to do with her.

[00:00:17]Therefore, they can't tell her what's going on with her because they have her mixed up with another patient who has a sister instead of a brother. It has been an absolute nightmare. So, I have come here to try and get some rights to repair in person and learn firsthand that European healthcare can actually be even shittier than what you get in America. But that's a topic for another video series. If the people at my company talked to employees the way this hospital talks to patients, I would have been bankrupt 17 years ago. But anyway, the topic of today's video for real is going to be what Steve at Gamers Nexus did. He took the code that Powell put up that I put up on my uh GitHub and also my organization's GitHub and he put it on his as well along with an F notice to Bamboo Labs. Now, this makes it a little bit more interesting because now you have more people getting into the section 1201 of the DMCA fight. Powell lives in Poland. I'm not exactly sure how that works when it comes to trying to enforce that stuff there, if that country has any parallel laws, but the United States does. So, what Steve at Gamers Nexus is doing at this point is saying, "Come after me, too. You can't sue us all. Or maybe you can." And I think it would be really cool if others also got involved in the fight. I saw Jeff Gearling do a video going over Bamboo Labs. Thank you very much, my friend. Really good job on that. I love the video. I enjoyed it. And wouldn't it be cool if everybody just started taking the source code and posting it to their own GitLub as a way to raise awareness for the fact that this is something that in the United States under current law get you put in prison for 5 to 10 years.

[00:01:39]I think that's absolutely ridiculous. And I want to say thank you very much to Steve Burke at Gamers Nexus for showing his support for Powell and also reforming this garbage law by reposting the code to his own GitHub and writing his own newsletter about it.

[00:02:00]Maybe you can try to get us all put in federal prison. But maybe you should spend that money making your software a little better or making your users happier. But what do I know?
