[00:06:07]So you all are and welcome in the Shivan Bhagat Gita class. So we are going through the introduction of Shrimat Bhagat Gita as it is and we have reached the point.

[00:06:18]Today we are going to discuss. So let's begin.

[00:06:26]Okay. [clears throat] Modern man has struggled very hard to reach the moon but he has not tried very hard to elevate himself spiritually.

[00:06:37]If one has 50 years of life ahead of him, he should engage that brief time in cultivating this practice of remembering the Supreme Personality of Godhead. This practice is the devotional process.

[00:07:04]So this is the verse from Shrimat Bhagatam seventh kanto the the glorification by dear devotey Maharaj.

[00:07:13]Yeah then in glories of Lord Vishnu. So in glories of the devotional service platma is glorifying the naabi. Yeah which begins from shraanam. So if you see propal is writing that we have struggled a lot to reach the moon and in fact uh many people say that no one has reached the moon even many scientists claim in today's world that those were the fake things they created some environment such kind of environment of space of space like moon and actually no one reached that was all lab many scientists they say but even if they reach They cannot reach on moon because the ambient of the body of a human body with this human body we cannot reach. We must have the atmosphere outside this body like the atmosphere of earth because we are earthly beings. So even if someone reaches moon the atmosphere which we which he needs outside his body that is like a jacket or something which has the ambiencece of earth earthly air.

[00:08:23]So he cannot contact even the moon's atmosphere what we speak of doing things. So [clears throat] secondly in the present in today's world uh no one can reach on moon today no one can reach if you go on Google no one can reach because now the scientists they say that there are very uh dangerous rays and radiations in the atmosphere nearby moon. So if someone goes there they will die. So no one tries now. Okay. Anyway so so it's very hard to reach other planets.

[00:09:01]Easy journey to other planets. Prop he wrote a book easy journey to other planets. When this moon mission was very becoming very famous in the world then Shilapas wrote this book easy journey to other planets. Why you are trying so hard?

[00:09:16]If you are in the mode of goodness you go to the higher planets. Don't try so hard. Even if you try you fail. You have to carry the atmosphere of earth outside your body and then go. So no use and no benefit. So prop is saying one beautiful thing if you you have noticed or not I don't know 50 years 50 years it's a very important thing uh very long back I heard in one lecture praad was saying that was a conversation one of the disciple he asked praad that prahuad uh I am chanting 16 rounds so when I will become perfect so shall praad told he replied that if you chant 16 rounds for 50 years then you will become perfect then one will become perfect.

[00:10:09]So it is prop statement that 50 years 50 half century if we chant you become perfect. Also in one lecture is in last week I heard that propad was saying that perfection is very tough especially in this age. It's not it's very tough. The mind is very flickering in nature. Yeah it's very tough to concentrate on the lotus feet on the lotus uh form of the lord. Yeah, it's very tough to concentrate on the devotional service.

[00:10:40]But yes, if you are in 20s or 30s and say if you live by 70 80 years of age, then you get like 50 years and 50 years if you start from now. So then in 50 years is a very good chance why not you can achieve perfection. You can become Krishna conscious in 50 years. That was statement. So I was wondering why 50 years why not 40 why not 25. Yeah. So I was wondering so I was discussing with my roommates. So he gave me a very beautiful insight. I will share with you why 50 is. So it is actually from the kalishant as a slo.

When one studies or chants all forms of liberation one can attain.

[00:12:45]Sam you know Samip Mti salti Samipam attaining attaining a uh the attaining attaining a can say associate becoming associate of the lord who lives nearby lord supreme lord in the spiritual kingdom. Then Saruptam attaining the uh you can say the form the similar form of the lord that is one mti and sy you know that in the impersonal Brahma merging into the impersonal Brahma one is not here that is si attaining the opulence as of the lord but this four name comes here yadaasha and how one will attend yadasa shaskasia sard If one chance what? So does so does Kasia the 16 word Mahamantra? [00:13:51]So when one chant this 16 word mahamandra how much s three kot jar three kot k means k okay so three and a half krishna mahamantra 3 and half 3.5 k of har krishna mahamantra japati then one becomes free from the sin of killing a brahmanana Then one becomes free of killing from the sin of killing a chhatria.

[00:14:32]He becomes free by the sin of stealing gold. Okay. Robbery of the gold things, thieving. Then manage.

[00:14:47]So one becomes free from the uh sin of indulging in the illicit relationship with a woman.

[00:15:01]So whatever depths one acquires uh depths of the father depths of the demigods uh so depths of other people he becomes free from all the depths he becomes free of uh of not following other different different religions different different dharmas Dharma is one we should follow.

[00:15:33]The the dharma of a a son, the dharma of a citizen different different dharma we have to follow in our life. Krishna says s dha. So one when when one has left all the dharmas many dhmas towards devi god towards mother father toward the motherland towards the citizens towards many people. So he becomes free and it is sad immediate if one chants 3.5ish he becomes free immediately.

[00:16:14]Yeah. And yeah, definitely he will be definitely he will be delivered.

[00:16:28]Immediately he will be delivered. So sya sya and syha sya sya immediately he will be delivered. Immediately he will be delivered. So this is the words from kalisantraishad.

[00:16:41]So if you calculate yeah 3.5 K har Krishna Mahamantra I was calculating so it was coming like if you chant 16 rounds if you are chanting 16 rounds every day so it's like 16 rounds into 108 so one one day 1728 mahamantra we chant every day for 365 days that becomes 1 year and if you divide if you multiply it like 55 around 55.5 then you get 3.5 K har Krishna Mahhamad okay so it's like 55 years if one chant 16 rounds every day but we chant more rounds on special days on different different special occasions so again I was calculating if one chant 16 rounds only and on eki if you chant 40 40 rounds only once 40 rounds and on other days only 60 rounds then in 50 years we become perfect as per the shloka as per the scripture is shastra pman yeah perfect means it's not even get pure love of godhead I'm not saying that but one becomes perfect means one becomes pure becomes clean one becomes immediately one is immediately delivered from the sins from all his sins so this is why prahad has told in many of the in many of the incidents and conversation that if you chant 50 50 years 16 rounds you become prophet you get a test in the chanting you become delivers that is the reason so here the his propag writing if one has 50 years of life ahead of him yeah he should engage that brief time in cultivating this practice so that is 50 years and it's not that we have to do we can we will do in 50 years only someone is chanting 32 rounds every day or 40 years because if you see I was searching that there's a lecture nod lecture 20th October here propad is saying just like we have asked our student to finish 16 rounds chanting minimum 16 rounds says nothing See 16 rounds is nothing. In Vindavan where we are there are many devotees they chant 120 120 rounds like that. So 16 rounds is the minimum because I know in the western countries it is difficult job to finish 64 rounds or 120 120 rounds like that minimum 16 rounds that must be finished karma. This is the direction.

[00:19:40]So actually if you see 16 hours was by going when I was preparing for the today's lecture and I found so many insights that 16 rounds actually proper meant for the westerners not for Indians to say but it is like that and many places told this I can see even in the chhatanila and many of the other conversations as well Intel if you see here there's a discussion between Chhatan Mahabra and Takuridas.

So they don't feel a burden if if sets a standard of chanting more than 16 the devotees outside India they will feel a burden not the Indians expectation from the Indians are different.

[00:21:57]So this 16 rounds must be chanted and chanted loudly so that one can hear himself and others. Now see even the 16 rounds that should be chanted clear and that should be chanted loudly so that one can hear. So 16 rounds is the minimum rounds is actually it is the minimum attentive rounds that is the minimum 16 round. The minimum round 16 but that doesn't mean only 16 all throughout the day. That means that minimum 16 round should be very attentive. If it is not attentive then we are sorry it is not the it doesn't falls into the category of 16 rounds then it would be receive chant complete 16 rounds but some rounds goes with mobile some goes with talking and and doing other things like that so that is not counted actually so there are many instances anyway so even in the one of the if you see one of the lecture which Popal and the book there's a book chanting har Krishna I got while searching researching there's a book chanting har krishna from the is like compiled from the lectures and some of the books of prop lectures so there very nice uh I found one very nice which I would like to share as brahma the first created being had to undergo to get information from the supreme the supreme lord is within you he will advise Please when you are fixed up by tapasia determined with war then he will talk to you then Krishna will talk to us when we are determined for the tapasa [clears throat] he's ready to talk but you require to acquire the qualification to hear him so Krishna is ready to talk with us but we need that qualification and what is that qualification This Krishna consciousness devotional service as it is said in the Bhagat Gita such person.

[00:24:11]So sat means always 24 hours not that 5 minutes I meditate and rest of the time I live like cats and dogs. No satam. No this kind of meditation will not help you. Orai Singh Krishna says sat. Sat means 24 hours. You have to mold your life in such a way that 24 hours you will think of Krishna. That we have to try to mold our life in such a way that we can think of Krishna. We can remember Krishna in shloka. The shloka here you can see this nine processes of which the easiest is shraannam. Hearing hearing the Bhagat Gita from the realized person will turn one to the thought of the supreme being. When we hear then we start thinking about Krishna. If you if we are not hearing from our ears then very difficult then we have so much of already ka garbage in our brain previous we acquired from many birds.

[00:25:10]So that garbage will give us trouble.

[00:25:13]So we have to hear and clean those garbages and when we hear this will lead to remembering the supreme lord and will enable one upon leaving the body to attain a spiritual body which is just fit for association with the supreme lord. So hearing is the first you know is the easiest actually cuz if if we see if we observe it is the only sense organ which is always active. When we sleep, we close our eyes. We when we sleep, we don't smell.

[00:25:45]Don't Okay. We are not eating. We are not tasting. We are not touching. Uhhuh.

[00:25:50]But but we are hearing. Uh in the morning there when alarming ring ring we are hearing our ears are active.

[00:26:02][clears throat] So ears are active. Some thief comes if there is some bomb you will wake up. So ear is attentive. So ear is one of the sense of which is always active. It doesn't sleep. Yeah. So it's very easy to hear because we need not to do anything. You just sit like sitting.

[00:26:22]So the hearing to do very easy is the easiest easiest among the nine. It is the easiest actually. Yeah.

[00:26:32]So it will lead to the remembrance. When we hear about Krishna then we startam then when we hear then we can speak. If we cannot hear if we don't hear then what we will speak no content no data inside uh then what we can speak garbage. So garbage in garbage out gigo principle like industry whatever goes in that comes out good in good outb garbage out like that. So, so if you hear about Krishna and you speak about Krishna, you don't hear don't cannot speak. So like that and upon leaving the body we can attain a spiritual body just by remembrance.

[00:27:19]When one remembers about me at the end of his life while living the body he he what? He gets my award he attains me. is saying there's no doubt about it but remembrance comes from hearing that we are learning understanding from here.

[00:27:44]Yeah. So in that param so here so oh Krishna has said yeah so see so now I have chanted my if you think now I have chanted my 16 rounds now I have finished my business now I can do whatever nonsense I like no Krishna says no sat you have to do it Continuously remember me continuously. Therefore we have to plan our life in such a way that we have not got any other engagement than service of Krishna. To plan our life in such a way this is required sat means 24 hours. Yukta means engaged.

[00:28:31]What for? What is that engagement?

[00:28:37]Bhyam to serve Krishna.

[00:28:40]How come? with love. Serve Krishna with priti. With love. Yeah. Not that oh Krishna has said all right let me do. No with love and affection. Not out of just out of duty. Out of love. Out of love and affection. But yes in the beginning we do it like out of duty. But gradually when we start doing it as a matter of duty gradually after doing doing vic sadhabi the saddaka we start getting higher and higher and higher and higher.

[00:29:12]It is getting more and more and more and more attachment with the lord and then he enters into the raanogi.

[00:29:19]Yeah. From sadhamaki to raani he develops the affection and love for the lord. So like that so so with love and affection then you will get attachment.

[00:29:32]Unless you develop love for Krishna you cannot be engaged 24 hours. If we have no love then very difficult to engage ourselves in 24 hours. That is not possible. Therefore it is said pritipurvakam not officially but with love. If you acquire this qualification then you will talk with Krishna who is within your heart. See how beautiful.

[00:29:51]Then you can talk with Krishna who is within our heart. Yeah. And saying then you will talk. He's ready to talk but he does not talk with rascals and fools.

[00:30:04]He's ready to talk. Yeah. But he doesn't talk with rascals and fools. So sweetly propad is telling us one must acquire the qualification to talk with Krishna.

[00:30:16]Then you will be able to talk with DT within your heart Krishna is situated there. Anywhere you go Krishna is within you and he will give you intelligence.

[00:30:26]Talking with Krishna means buddhi yoga 10. Those who are engaged, those who are qualified like this, then I give him intelligence.

[00:30:40]So we have to engage ourselves. Huh? And how? At least we have to engage.

[00:30:49]The Lord further says, "He who meditates on me as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, his mind constantly engaged in remembering me, undeviated from the path. He, oh Arjun, is sure to reach me." Bhagat Gita 8.88.

[00:31:17]So we have to meditate on the lord. Now how we can meditate that uh prabhad is writing that this is not a very difficult process. Meditating on the lord is not very difficult is writing.

[00:31:31]However one must learn it from an experienced person. We need spiritual master who is experienced person. He can they can they can help us. They can teach us.

[00:31:48]One must approach a person who is already in the practice. Someone who is like we go to school in our childhood.

[00:31:57]So we learn from the teacher who has already passed graduation postgraduation like so. So now they're teaching and we are students. Similarly who has already passed those stages they can teach us.

[00:32:10]Yeah.

[00:32:12]The mind is always flying to this and that. But one must practice concentrating the mind always on the form of the supreme lord Sri Krishna or on the sound of his name. So mind is flickering. No doubt our mind keeps flickering here and there.

[00:32:28]But we can we can try to meditate. We must practice prop. We have to do abhasa.

[00:32:34]We have to do abhas practice to concentrate the mind on the form. How we can practice if you say the practical aspect without missing mangalari. If you come every day for mangalarti and on time, if you and if we glance on the beautiful lotus like face, the limbs, the chest, uh the elbows, the arms, the legs, the lotus feet, uh the the garments, the dyd dresses, the paraphernalia, the lamps, all the objects which we are offering. So when we glance on the face on the entire body of the lord of the lordship the cows if you see one day uh I was like standing I was going to propos and I was crossing the mahasadam counter so it was like around 12:00 so goes so that around 12 or 12:30. So the Raj bhagati time was that and the security guard was standing just near you know from the ent entrance to the raash.

[00:33:48]So one lady one maj was telling she was an outsider not devotey like not wearing country and all some tourist. So she was trying to enter but the security guards were no no from this please please please so I have to take D from close please please please he was questioning the security guard so security guard and also see okay her heart also melt okay okay go go so I was just watching I was crossing but I was I I waited for a few seconds seeing what is going So [snorts] then the security guard then mi saw me then he told you you want to come. I took the mahab prasad but then I thought uh it is like never ever a security guard called me to you if you wish to come you can come like that I can come of course but why he's saying so I thought I should go it's like call from the lord so that I felt from the heart and then so then I went the guard was already gone then I went like few seconds so I went so from the side from the side of vishaka I started Ed taking the beautiful dion of shishada sunund and suddenly I saw my my eyes my sight went on the novel of the lord so I I observed it's very beautiful in the n of the shamasundra bhagan the navi uh and I I realized that in the last since 2022 I could never have the dion of the neville so this is the new thing today [clears throat] has shown me it's one of the feature Because it is generally covered with the garland if you see but yes but in sometime the you know the garland it is like this like that. So then when it is done like this then you can see that the n is then the n is visible. So that time it was like the posture the posture was like that. So I realiz Krishna helps you many times. Yeah, many times we have uh realized in our day-to-day life Krishna helps in exhibiting his forms, his beauty. Yeah, even if you observe the paintings in our temple, they're very beautiful. I don't know how many of you have observed but if you observe very uh nicely, you will see many things like the donation office. Yeah, donation office in the in the temple hall. If you see from the way we enter you see the beautiful painting the Krishna holding the golden hill from the on the left hand pinky finger and if you see all together right left everywhere you see the painting if you observe you will see yes maya dandam the braases and here ratherani holding one you know in India I don't know English what is it is called but that And from Tirshi Naz side glance he's she is looking Krishna and Krishna is also looking side glance.

[00:37:11]Yeah. And many other gop is also looking. Yeah. Then if you see the other animals like elephant. So from his tus uh the elephant is offering a lotus.

[00:37:27]Then one monkey is sitting behind in the painting. that monkey. So monkey loves banana. So he is offering one banana and that banana it is not covered.

[00:37:43]So everything is very full of you know love and emotion and then one peacock she is offering in his beak one flower with grass like that. So if you see so many even one snake is doing like this.

[00:37:59]I don't know what he will offer but he standing in his beautiful portion like that. So all the braases they very much attracted to the form of the lord. So when we observe very closely the form of the lord the dharma the painting even if we uh meditate very nicely while reading the books and we will feel we can we can dive deeper and deeper into the beauty and the beauty is eternal. It our mind gets captured.

[00:38:35]The beauty of the Lord is such that the mind gets captured. But we must try, we must practice. Yeah.

[00:38:43]So we have to engage our mind.

[00:38:46]The mind is naturally restless going hither and dither. But it can rest in the sound vibration of Krishna. One must thus meditate on peram purusham the supreme personality of godheaded in the spiritual kingdom the spiritual sky and thus attain him. The ways and the means for ultimate realization ultimate attainment are stated in the Bhagat Gita and the doors of and the doors of this knowledge are open for everyone. So the doors are open for everyone. It's not that not it is open to someone and someone for like our temple is open for everyone even a Muslim and Christian anyone can come I last year even Santa Claus was coming on 25th December and he was selling some giving offering gifts chocolates to see what's going on here on Christmas he's preaching our temple so so I thought we are really secular So it's like you know we are inviting everyone but yes of course uh everyone everyone is attracted actually towards the beauty of Krishna.

[00:39:59]So [clears throat] people started preaching to Santa Claus also some devotey start giving uh chant chant take mala take book. [laughter] So devotey don't miss a chance. So the thing is our mind is very flickering but it can rest in the sound vibration of Krishna. So although it is very flickering going here there but we have to try we have to practice rest our mind in the sound vibration. H Krishna h Krishna Krishna Krishna h har h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h ra h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h h say like that. No one is bad out. All classes of men can approach Lord Krishna by thinking or failing. for hearing and thinking of him are possible for everyone. So hearing and thinking not very easy. Yeah. The Lord further says in Bhagat Gita 9.22 and 33 verses Imamia.

[00:41:15]Thus the Lord says that even a merchant, fallen woman or a laborer or even human beings in the lowest status of life can attain the supreme. One does not need highly developed intelligence. The point is that anyone who accepts the principle of bati yoga and accepts the supreme lord as the sum bonam of life as the highest target the ultimate goal can approach the lord in the spiritual sky.

[00:41:48]If one adopts the principles inunciated in Bhagat Gita can make his life perfect and make a permanent solution to all the problems of life. This is the sum and substance of the entire Bhagat Gita.

[00:42:03]So Krishna consciousness is for everyone. No matter it doesn't matter who is the person, how fallen the person is, where he is, what time, place, circumstance, nothing matters. Yeah.

[00:42:17]But the point is we have to accept the principle. The principle laid by our acharas. The principles which we have received from our spiritual master. The principles we have to try to follow. If you follow the principle like uh one in one of the foreign country propad was giving initiation.

[00:42:36]So one person he was oh what's going on initiation dika samar okay so he he went to pra and told I also want to take initiation.

[00:42:52]Okay. Then tal asked him who is supreme personality of God.

[00:42:58]He said Krishna what is the purpose of life? Who are you? I I am a servant.

[00:43:12]What is the purpose of life? Purpose of go back home back prop your head and sit and he gave any just ask three question supreme personality about it who are you and what is the aim of life of you all the three come you chant 16 follow like that is very merciful, very super fast.

[00:43:48]So like that. So we must understand the conclusion. So in conclusion, Bhagat Gita is a transcendental literature which one should read very carefully.

[00:44:00]If one properly follows the instructions of Bhagat Gita, one can be freed from all the miseries and anxieties of one will be freed from all fears in this life. And one's next life will be spiritual. This is Gita Mahatma starting that if one uh reads Bhagat Gita studies it. Yeah. Follows the instructions all miseries and anxieties will be gone away. Okay. The glories of Babita all fear gone and the next life will be spiritual. We will attain the kingdom of the lord. There's also further advantage.

[00:44:47]very beautiful. This is if one reads Bhagat Gita very sincerely and with all seriousness then by the grace of the Lord reactions of his past mischiefs will not.

[00:45:05]So no game of praaba all praaba is gone just by reading Bhagat Gita very sincerely and seriously sincere and serious towards writing when we are sincere and we are serious in studying Bhagat Gita reading Bhagat Gita then we will get the mercy of Krishna and the all the past maj reaction will be burned and they will not act will not act uh Why? Because in Gita Ma 2, why? Because when we read sincerely and seriously actually the person there is not a chance that he will not take the shelter of the lotus feet of the Lord. When we have serious and sincere reading and naturally we will our mind our senses will be attracted to the lotus feet of the lord to the instructions given gita and one will to become certain to become a devotey and therefore then lord says very loudly in the last portion of gita 1866 abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender onto me I shall deliver you from all sinful reaction do not fear that the lord takes all responsibility for one who surreners onto him and he indemnifies such a person against all reaction of sins. So Krishna makes he ready to make us pure he's ready to deliver us but the question is are we ready? Are we ready to be delivered? So that is the question. So so even there is a told 50 years. So I was wondering if you start chanting more rounds he can decrease the number of chanting 32 round then 25 years in 25 years only one will attain 3.5 Krishna mahandra yeah and also we have gone through uh through the gita mahatma so we should read bhagita we should chant try to chant him from today's preparation of this class I got an invitation by the mercy of the lord and guru that we should chant more rounds.

[00:47:15]That is the message for me. I think there's a message for you all also who are sitting and if we try to chant more rounds in we should try torishna as it is sincere and serious.

[00:47:38]Sincere means one will not miss. Like if you have make a made a schedule and I will study 1 hour 30 minutes with every day then the person the devotive is sincere he will anyhow he will study 30 minutes every sincerity he will not miss 30 minutes he will anyhow he will make sure I will read 30 minutes anyhow uh before 30 minutes I will not I'm not going to sleep like we don't go to sleep without without chanting 16 We have we must we have definitely we complete our people. So definitely a sincere person will complete his reading portion of hearing portion. That is sincerity and serious means serious means he will not just read. Now while reading he will try to understand he will try to apply it. He will try to share it with others with seniors with juniors. We're going to try to understand it in the more depth. So without the mercy of guru without uh developing our relationship with Krishna uh one can depends what type of liberation we want devotey doesn't want liberation of suda emerging into the brah so that is quite easy very easy like side effect chant uh even without guru but in his book he has written that you can simply chant s krishna Without guru he can attain only syuda. He cannot attend samia or supia or salup or some he cannot because guru the guru he uh actually holds our hand and he introduces us and he is the one who in the spiritual world also is there and he will introduce us he will bring us into the shish and give us service like the guru is giving service here but so when there is no guru will simply chant without guru then only say only it's plain liberation just will get merged into the supreme so devotey don't want that liberation that kind of liberation yeah the other four points so that depends on his then how much how much pa he has agend spiritual credits like that. So when we chant Krishna mahandra then we have to uh engage our mind in we have to direct our mind on hearing in hearing the holy names.
