The video offers a practical way to handle invasive species by turning ecological threats into food sources. However, it risks downplaying the severe damage these plants do to native ecosystems.

I ended up in the PA OutbackAdded:
All right, guys. I'm so torn right now.
I want to go find morels's. I'm at my morel spot. But on the way here, I saw a bald eagle swoop down and catch a fish with its talons. So, I'm like, "Okay, I want to go to my morel spot because I want to find morelss, but I also want to go to my bald eagle spot so I can watch bald eagles." So, maybe we'll have time to do both. I want to point something out to you guys really quick. All right.
So, I find these on my juniper/ cedar trees. Look at there's a closeup of that thing. Oh my gosh, they're so bizarre.
They're like these little jelly like things. Um yeah, I just think they're kind of cool. This dirty rotten plant smells so darn good.
The um autumn olive. The autumn olives are naughty. They're not supposed to be here. They're super duper invasive. Um, but I will admit they do smell fabulous.
These are the autumn olives. I'm in a place that is swamped with them. Yes, they're stunning. Um, and I actually love eating the berries in the fall, but they're naughty, naughty, naughty, naughty. And they're completely taking over the place.
If you have them in your area and they are in bloom, take the time to smell them because you might as well since they're here. Guys, this one's even crazier.
Somebody told me what these were in in a different video like ages ago. Look at how big this one is.
It's so goofy looking. It looks like a Christmas decoration.
This one's loaded. Like there's one there. It's got a bunch up high.
There's another one. There's so many of them. I didn't notice them like a month ago. I feel like they started like that one.
I don't know what those are. I don't know if they're good, bad, neutral, whatever. If you know, um, remind me because I forget what they are.
Okay, I made it to my morel spot.
You can see where we picked some of the old ones. So, I'm just hoping for new growth ones, new babies, baby mushrooms.
I'm just hoping for a new flush of mushrooms. There's another one that we had already gotten.
Let's check it out.
I came here tonight fully thinking that I was going to find um a bunch of morelss. I really did. But um I think this is just the third year in a row that is um a terrible morell year. That is okay. We will go find other cool things.
I think we're going to end up in a swamp. Um, I have major regret that I did not throw my chest waiters on that are in my trunk. Um, so we're going to be a little limited with our regular rain boots. Guys, I just stumbled across a cute little swamp. Um, and I saw a bunch of turtles. Let's go check it out.
This whole thing is lined with hundreds of temples.
So many.
We don't have leggies yet.
These what are they called? Periwinkles.
Are these periwinkles? These little snail thingies. This guy's just cruising along.
Maybe eating something.
Never seen such a high concentration of tadpoles in my life. Never. I don't know what is going on here that there's so many in one spot.
Like guys, this swamp is big enough for everybody.
Look at that.
What are you guys doing?
Like, what?
I am pretty sure that the ones that are in this little spot here are going to get dried up if it doesn't rain again soon.
Look at them. What is wrong with them?
Why do they all want to be in the same exact spot?
Super duper exciting. I have never ever been in this patch of woods before. So, this is all new to me. Check out this stunning dogwood.
So, everything I'm seeing right now is new. I've never seen any of this before.
Hey guys, I'm seeing possible evidence of our friends. Let me show you.
seeing any like fresh super fresh evidence. That could be old, but um keeping my fingers crossed. I want to see one of our buddies.
But we got this little pond here.
I don't see any fresh shoes.
Something's down in there, though.
All right. While the Japanese notweed is young, let's talk about it. Um, I've only tried it once, like eaten it. Um, but this is the only time of year that you can eat it that I'm aware of. And I see some perfect little specimens to show you that are the proper size to eat. It is starting to rain. That's okay. So, this one has some ants on it.
Um, but these right here, these younger little stocks, they're like the size of asparagus or the ones that you would want to eat. They're very, very tart.
Um, if you like that kind of thing. I fry mine up with butter and salt.
There's the leaves.
But yeah, they have like little stocks like bamboo, and that's the size that you would eat. I only wanted to point this out and mention it because it's so highly invasive. So, if it's here, we might as well be eating it. Um, because it's pretty good and it's everywhere.
Um, so I just like to point that out once a year. So, you can see like here's all the old dead um ones. And then here's some more of those young ones. The younger the better, which is the case with almost all edible plants.
Only can you eat it? It's actually really good for you. And here comes the rain. I'm pretty sure we're going to get dumped on.
Well, it's starting to rain pretty good, but I will say it does make the juniper bushes smell extra extra good.
All right, we made it to the car. I grabbed an an autumn olive branch to um have the kids smell it and stick it in one of my old bottles on the window sill. Um they really do smell so darn good.
Anyways, we'll go back out again soon when it's not raining so hard. It's a new day. It's not raining. Um and I made it out to the outback of Pennsylvania.
Um I love it here. Let me show you around a tour.
Anyways, it's like um it's kind of like an animal graveyard, too, because like the fox back here, they're so destructive and they just kill everything Like shoot, there's a dead deer. There's just bones scattered everywhere.
This place is very fascinating. It reminds me of um I don't know, some crazy country.
It's really funny because the first video that I ever filmed on this channel, this one specifically, was here. It was here at my outback and I was so so awkward. Like guys, I was so awkward. I still am, but I can handle it now. I can I can handle it like by myself. That dead deer down there.
There's another one there torn to bits.
Um yeah, this place is just crazy. It's like I said like an outback of sorts.
Reminds me of like Australia or Africa maybe.
Crazy how much destruction is here. It's wild.
It's just bones. Everybody looks bones.
Check out these darn leaves.
They're so stinking cute.
I think there's three.
My gosh, guys. That was two weekends in a row that I got to see baby fox kits in two separate places.
I love them so much. I'm not going to stay any longer because I don't want to like um upset the mom or the dad or just linger too long. Um, my gosh, they're so cute.
Guys, I'm going to head out because it's getting late. Um, thank you so much for joining me tonight and um, you guys have a wonderful
