Base is Winning the AI Agent Race (And Most Are Missing It)

[00:00:10]Yeah. What's good cryptocurrency fans out there? Welcome back to the Everything Altcoin channel. Today we're going to be talking about Bass becoming well the agentic economy heading over to Bass. Why that is because Bass is not just be not just any other L2 anymore, right? It is actually becoming the default settlement layer for AI agents from X42. Not only that, they introduced their new MCP. And they even told us that they're looking to be that agentic chain, right? 165 million agent transactions on base through X42, right?

[00:00:45]This means that this is they're positioning themselves host that aentic economy on base, right? So, we're going to be talking about that. We're going to be talking about what the AI agent economy is. all of this some new things that actually has been introduced as of right now for that base ecosystem. Now, for those that don't know what the agent economy is, the agentic economy, this is essentially where AI agents could discover um authorize, execute payments all autonomously without no humans in the loop, right? That this is going to be important, right? This means they're going to be hiring each other. They're going to be paying each other. and the X42 protocol that is basically basically built by Coinbase is going to be allowing that to happen. Not only that, you're going to have ERC804 that is also going to be there as of right now. But the reason that this is going to be huge for Coin B for Base itself is because Coinbase, like I said, they built the X42, right? This is something that they're they're putting their foot behind, but uh partnered with other companies as well to bring out the X42.

[00:01:50]And if you guys already know, we broke down X42. There's even MP out there that you guys can look into. But not only that, the integration to Coinbase that gives them over 100 million users, right? But now those users also get access to the AI agent. And Bass has now been officially looking to make things smoother for their main chain, for their mainet. Essentially, they just now put out uh Bass Azul is officially live on mainet. This upgrade makes base even faster and more secure. They're doing this in preparation for the agents because the agents are going to need faster execution and more secure execution, right? So, all of this is getting is is getting them prepared for the Aentic economy here. Then they dropped a bombshell, right? Introducing Bass MCP, your agents gateway to base.

[00:02:43]Connect your base account to your agent and simply use prompts to swap, transfer, track your portfolio. Tap into base ecosystem from chat, launching skills for morpho, moonwell, aerodyone, uh, banker, avant virtuals, and unis swap. So, if you think about those altcoins that they just listed, these are going to be the altcoins that are also going to be helping build for this ajected economy. As you guys know, we've highlighted Banker mult multiple times as like that interface for AI agents, right? And they're kind of doing that same thing with their base MCP. Uh basically allowing you to just tell your uh agent to transfer to transfer tokens to swap tokens to track portfolio, do all of that. But Banker actually allows you to do more than that as well. Then you're going to have pers with uh Avantis. You're going to have uh dex trading through aer drone. If Aer Drone or Uniswap could actually build the pro protocol for agents to actually tra uh trade on there, that's going to be a thing that we're going to be looking out for. The agentic decks, right? Something that can handle multiple multiple multiple multiple transactions at lightning speeds, things like that for AI agents as well. Then you got DeFi through Morpho and Moonwell. Uh even avantis is up there as well for DeFi.

[00:04:00]Same with a drone and unis swap. Those are all DeFi as well, right? But then you also now lastly you got virtuals which is pretty much started this whole thing right they're going to be building out the whole agentic economy uh by pushing more agents onto the chain of base and through banker as well and when they announced this I put pretty much put this tweet can you guys see what I said before I've been telling you guys for a minute that they will start to lean into what is going to make them more successful which is becoming that aentic chain and other people also have seen the same thing Right. This is the dev for veil here. A base pivoting from creator coins to a gentic money is the best strategic decision they've made.

[00:04:43]And I've said this is my response to them been saying this is the only move that they could make with what's going on with their chain. If they don't lean into it, they lose. That's pretty much they will become like a just another random, not a random, but just another L2 that is backed by Coinbase and things like that. But them actually pivoting over to becoming that agentic chain.

[00:05:05]This could fill a hole that is still being searched upon on in crypto as of right now. You got Swede looking to tackle it. You got um Kite looking to tackle this, but Bass itself is positioned well for this as of right now because a lot of the agentic stuff, a lot of the AI agent stuff has been happening on Bass. Then they also go put out this article here. Agents are becoming the internet's new paying customer and the economy serving them is moving fast. On base, agents already use wallets and stable coins to pay for inference, live search, market data, browser uh browser sessions, research workflows, and other services. As agents started to spend and earn online, the base economy built the foundations for this new economy. They didn't really build it. It was really virtual that kicked this all off, but they had to lean into it. Now from Premier Base here, this is basically their base daily recap. Um, essentially this is all the things that's been happening. Base MCP ate the day, right? The Aentic economy thesis just got a working interface.

Base app, the consumer rails. base app is becoming the consumer uh surface around the agent agentic wallet push, right? Then you scroll down, you got day one skills, which is going to be allowing giving your skills to a agents pretty much to to to do certain things, right? And then they do highlight XK that launched. We we'll talk about Xaching in a whole different video here, but as you guys can see, day one skills, right? Aer Drrome uh agent skills for Aer Drrome went live day one of base MCP DEX infrastructure entered the agent rail immediately so they're looking to make um trading you know DeFi trading through aerot drone uh unis swapers also did the same right now next you got virtuals virtual stack its thesis on MCP robotics economy OS agent uh tokenization and agent commerce claimed multiple lanes around the new agentic economy here. And of course, you got base with their day one MCP and things like that. So, they're building as of right now. And last thing, the glider went live on the base app here. I wasn't even paying attention to these guys, but this is like another uh crypto AI portfolio manager type thing here, right? Venice also is up here. And you got GitLab that we talked about a little bit, Velvet Capital as well. So, this is some things that happened not too long ago. And during this whole hype as of right now, while people were paying attention, like everyone literally legitimately has been on base right now, right? There's been dens from Salana that come on base because Anom put out a tweet uh showing that some things some crazy things has been happening on base that has made a lot of people come over to base as of right now. You guys can see the DEX trading volume by chain. Ethereum is at 6.86 billion. BNB 4.38 billion. Salana, which I'm sure has owned this uh DEX volume trading metric by a lot for a long time, is at 7.89 billion, while now this this might be the first time in a while we see Bass up there at the top spot. Um because people are now coming over to base to trade these AI agents uh from, you know, regular agents launching through virtuals or banker. You're going to have your inference marketplace with ver uh Venice uh pod, all of that that's happening on base. Honestly, all the agentic stuff right now that is happening on chain is happening on base.

MCP is the missing link in the agentic stack we've been discussing.

[00:10:50]Here's the full stack that as it now exists on base. You got X42 agent to agent payment. That is the rails coobo agentic wallet the programmic custody which is the wallet. Then you got the X42 app store which is discovery layer.

[00:11:07]Your agents could go onto here look for what other agents are doing, hire them, right? Then now you got the MCP which is the agent to tool/data connection.

[00:11:17]Basically the nervous system, right? MCP is what allow lets AI agents actually do something once it has the money and access. An agent can receive a payment via X42 to hold it in a Coobo wallet, but without MCP, it can't connect to the real world APIs, databases, or services.

[00:11:37]MCP is the protocol that makes agents actually useful, not just tokenized, but functional. Right? base integrating MCP natively means every agent on base gets free standardized access to external data and tools. It's not just incremental.
