The video argues that while security is primarily the government's responsibility, citizens must also take security seriously, but warns that self-defense claims in Nigeria carry significant legal risks, as demonstrated by the case of Jackson who was imprisoned for defending himself against a Fulani herdsman despite successfully killing the attacker.

WELCOME IRU EKUN SECURITY NETWORK OF CHIEF SUNDAY IGBOHO FOR YORUBA LAND SW.Added:
With insecurity plaguing the land and the government of the day have abdicated their responsibility to the citizen of the land. They are calling on the citizens to take their security seriously by themselves. Why do people in power use the security agency and the little they have to protect themselves, their friends and their families. I know that security matters or security issues is the sole responsibility of the government while the citizens of the country should also take their security seriously. But on a large scale, big time, the government is supposed to show workings before asking the citizens also to take this big task on their own shoulders. Anyway, I've seen videos whereby people are calling celebrities.
They are calling the all the Obas, the influencers, the pastors, the Imams, the politicians. Citizens are calling on these people that can influence the government to ask them to show workings.
They should do more than what they are doing right now and that is the call of the majority of the people. Because when you said or when you said to your people that they should take their security seriously to defend themselves, do you think they're going to defend themselves with their bare hands?
They wouldn't be able to do that. I remember the case of Jackson. The guy Jackson that was sent to prison because he defended himself against the Fulani herdsman that came to his farm that wanted to kill him and he succeeded in killing the Fulani herdsman before the guy could also kill him. But now, he defended himself. But at the end of the day, the court in the land doesn't see it that way. They did not see it that way at that period in time. They had to jail the guy. They put him in prison.
They passed three laws because he defended himself. And you ask yourself, if the guy, the Fulani guy, will have killed this guy first, Jackson, what would happen? Who would stand a case for him? He died for nothing and that is it.
So, these are the concerns when the people in government, the advisers and stuff are saying, "Okay, you have the right now to defend yourself. You can put yourself together, I mean, gather yourself together in community and start to do stuff like this, defend yourself."
I don't know where it is written in the constitution or if it's actually right like that for the people to defend themselves from whatever. You should just defend yourself, but I mean, the government could come out and start to, you know, give you the responsibility of you defend yourself wherever you are. If you kill anybody, it's your problem. And I said in one of my video that we should be careful when they say stuff like this, the police and the security agency wouldn't see it that way when you take, you know, the law into your hand and, you know, attack or, you know, kill anybody or murder anybody, and you want to try to claim self-defense in Nigeria, I don't think you will succeed. And so, we need to be careful now. With this With this said, I just want to give you a new development that I found. Chief Sunday Igboho, Sunday Igboho, Arsenal, came out. He said he has founded He has established his own security
