[00:05:38]The two women have been arrested and they've been arrested on trumped-up charges that do not make sense. First of all, they claim that Sonya has been denying Wicknell to Vayo access to his children. Yet, he's the one who has had the children for the past 2 weeks when Sonia was in China and in Dubai. They then claim that she stole Wicknell's phone or one of his digital devices and took a picture of Wicknell and President Ramaphosa and shared it on social media.

[00:06:08]Now, that wouldn't make sense because Sonia and Wicknell Vayo have not been in close proximity. So, how could she have stolen these pictures unless they're saying that she stole them while they were still married 2 years ago.

[00:06:21]Then, on the other hand, is Sonia's mother.

[00:06:24]Wicknell to Vayo is claiming that she has broken cyber laws in the aspect that he called her and sent her the video and pictures with him and Ramaphosa and then she took that information and took it to social media. So, when you listen to those two charges, they don't make sense.

[00:06:44]It's impossible for Sonia to have gotten access to Wicknell's phone and his devices and to have stolen anything from them when she hasn't been with him for the past 2 years. Unless they're suggesting that she stole these pictures 2 years ago. But, then it cannot be that the mother of Sonia broke the law of cyber laws by taking images that Wicknell says he sent to her and that she decided to leak them on social media. So, this is a clear case of abuse of power and the abuse of the system of law enforcement in Zimbabwe. The police have been corrupted to undertake vendettas and to fight little battles.

[00:07:26]Let me give you context according to the information that I've been given by stakeholders and sources close to this issue so that you can understand what is going on over here.

[00:07:34]Sonia and Wicknell have a company called WMC. WMC is registered in South Africa and a number of other jurisdictions in Africa, but it owns a lot of property in South Africa, which includes private jets, premises, houses, cars, machinery, and even tools.

[00:07:51]However, the problem comes in that a few months ago when Sonia was trying to use the card of the company, she discovered that she could not transact. When she got in touch with the bank, FNB, they said that the account had been blocked because Wignall is a PEP, politically exposed person, and he was also being investigated for a number of improprieties.

[00:08:14]And because of that, they wanted to de-risk and could not do business with anything that has anything to do with Wignall Chabalala, so they were blocking and closing the account. They then advised Sonia that you can actually take your company and go and register with another bank, and if you successfully do that, we can transfer the money from FNB through to that bank. But, it would preferably be be a company that does not have Wignall, so that they don't look like they're assisting in money laundering or criminality if indeed that gets approved one day.

[00:08:47]Right. So, can you you see at this stage Can I just tell her what what what exactly is being said by uh by by Matinada? Mulatou, so what I would say there is no way that uh uh you know, somebody and a and a money is not involved uh millions. Remember, money is kind of like with a company you know, Shikabala in asset like a jet.

Maybe if it was in the in the in the first world, yes, we could say first world is possible because how many even with South Africa check, how many South Africans own own a private jet? You cannot just fly into the airspace of South Africa from nowhere with your private jet. As you see. So, according to the source, Wicknell and Sonia agreed that Wicknell would be removed from the company papers. They went to Pretoria to SIPS, they removed Wicknell from the company papers. Sonia then went and opened another account in the company name, and the money was transferred from FNB into this new account that did not have Wicknell. However, it is said that in a few weeks or a few months, Wicknell then went again to SIPS and decided to remove Sonia from the papers and to reinstitute himself with another shareholder. Now, once you begin to remove shareholders and directors without the agreement of both directors and the signatures of both directors and resolutions from both directors, that is fraud. So, Sonia asked Wicknell why he did it and went to open a case of fraud in Pretoria. So, it is when Sonia opened this fraud case in South Africa, Pretoria, that Wicknell called Sonia's mother. And he threatened her that he's a very powerful man not only in Zimbabwe, but in South Africa as well.

[00:12:56]And that's when he sent the video that he's sitting with the president.

And so like any other family, this issue of the threat was discussed. The videos were sent around together with the pictures that had been sent by Wicknell, and that is what led us to be here.

[00:15:58]The police arresting Sonia is an abuse of power, but the abuse of power is also illustrative of the corruption and the human rights abuses that are synonymous with this government and its people.
