ASMR Vlog: Thrifting and Ramble (Soft Speaking)

[00:00:01]Hey you guys. How are you today? I hope you're all doing well. I'm really happy today. This will be probably like a part two to the vlog I filmed yesterday where I explained you to you guys that um today I will be um going to the site where I get supervision and meeting um my new supervisor for practicum so I can finish up my degree and become a licensed therapist and help people. So I'm really excited. Today is the big day, you guys.

[00:00:36]Um I'm I'm kind of nervous actually. It's about in an hour so I have some time to kill uh until then. I can um um have something to eat and I just came to the city. So I'm just going to be waiting for my um appointment. I dressed up today so I'm really happy. I'm wearing my beautiful new coat that you guys see me thrift. Um I love the color, the beautiful wool. I did my hair all nice.

[00:01:07]It's all curled up.

[00:01:10]It's um I did my makeup a little bit. I don't really wear makeup but I did some lip and some blush today and put on a nice sunscreen.

[00:01:19]Um but yeah, I hope I look um kind of all gussied up for my appointment. I'm really excited and I'll have to let you guys know how it goes. If I take to and like the guy that is going to be uh supervising me and overseeing my therapy and I'll of course give you guys updates. Um I'm parked outside of a thrift store cuz you guys know me. I got to get my thrifting in but I thought it would be cool just like yesterday to kind of just film where I go and what I do um and talk to you guys. So I'm going to head on in and see if I can get some footage and I'll of course I'll let you know if I find anything. I don't I'm still thinking about that outfit that I thrifted yesterday. Looking at all the bright sunniness today, I'm like when can I wear it? I'm so excited to wear that set. That was my favorite thrift uh find I've had in a while. So we'll see if I can find anything in this one and if not I'll just take you on a little walk-through.

[00:02:25]I see today they had a bunch of new stock. This is me in the mirror waving hi.

[00:02:30]They had some beautiful pink items on the display. I believe that was called carnival glass what we just saw.

[00:02:37]They had all these beautiful hanging planters. I really liked that one with the little green um planter in there and this dress was gorgeous. It reminds me of something I feel like I've seen Beyoncé in back in the day. It was a really pretty dress.

[00:02:54]Some little caps. That's Squamish. I've actually been to Squamish when I lived in BC.

[00:03:01]Some little girl dresses, really pretty.

[00:03:04]I kind of liked this little canister. I thought of getting it for like French salt or something in the kitchen. It was pretty nice. Only two bucks for that. I just didn't really like the color too much. It doesn't match anything I have. A little canoe carving.

[00:03:25]They had some pants.

[00:03:27]I really thought this bag was cute. I liked the colors and the flowers.

[00:03:33]The gift bags were only 25 cents which is a really good price. Even at the dollar store they can get up to four bucks there so 25 cents is a good deal.

[00:03:45]This is a really pretty scarf that has hibiscus all over it which as you guys know is my favorite flower.

[00:03:52]And yeah, it was just uh a nice little morning shopping trip.

[00:03:58]There weren't too many people in there um and it wasn't loud but I'm doing a voiceover cuz the employees are older. I think they might be hard of hearing because they yell really loud to each other and I've always noticed that so I just did a little voiceover for this.

[00:04:14]That was me in the mirror checking my makeup. Um some goggles. They had miscellaneous kids items over here. Some beautiful dresses up on display. I don't know how they get them all the way up there but they were pretty.

[00:04:30]I took a peek at the jackets. The colors stood out to me. They had a nice selection of jackets. Nothing that I would buy for myself but I really liked them.

[00:04:41]I had my eye on this sequined dress. How gorgeous.

[00:04:45]I love sequins so much, you guys and the purple was just so pretty.

[00:04:52]Some blankets. I really liked the kind of um colors of this blanket but it was just so worn. If it weren't worn I probably would have got it. It felt like real cotton.

[00:05:03]This is my outfit, the beautiful coat.

[00:05:05]I'm so in love with it. I got a lot of compliments today. I think it is a little bit too big on me but it's still an upgrade from the other one I got. I really should get my clothes tailored, you guys because I have to size up to get stuff that will fit my breasts in it but then it kind of fits baggy on other parts. So >> [clears throat] >> but I love the coat. This as soon as I seen it I knew I had to have it. This is one of those um a phone mount that you can hang around your neck and I thought this would be excellent. I've actually been meaning to buy one of these for videos for you guys so that I can use both my hands cuz it just kind of settles on your neck and you can film.

[00:05:51]I knew I would get it um but I took a peek at the other things.

[00:05:54]That was a really really old kind of I think a slicer.

[00:06:00]Then this is their plus size clothing.

[00:06:03]Um I checked out the handbags.

[00:06:07]I liked this wicker bag. Whenever I see it I think of Sophia from The Golden Girls, those wicker little handbags.

[00:06:16]They didn't have too many purses.

[00:06:17]Usually that um stand is all piled up so they're kind of picked over.

[00:06:23]I really liked the shape and pattern of that one but it wasn't real leather and I try to only get real leather purses.

[00:06:32]You can find them often at the thrift store.

[00:06:35]But I also liked this little handbag here.

[00:06:41]Sorry for my camera angle there. I just didn't want to film the gentleman there in the back so I was kind of trying to hold it low.

[00:06:49]Over here they have um housewares and they also keep the stuff that's uh on sale sometimes in here like a dollar section. They'll put up a sign that says everything in here is a dollar.

[00:07:03]Didn't have a dollar sale today but I did look through the housewares.

[00:07:07]I didn't know what that was but it seemed like it could be handy.

[00:07:12]Funky land.

[00:07:15]These little plastic wine cups. Those give me nostalgia. I feel like those were all the rage when I was a kid.

[00:07:21]Everyone had those cups in their house.

[00:07:25]I liked that little pitcher with the flowers and they had also a lot of measuring cups as you can see.

[00:07:31]This was some type of organizer. I couldn't figure out what it might be for.

[00:07:37]Um [clears throat] they didn't have lids so maybe not for seasoning. I wasn't sure.

[00:07:43]I liked that pastel and I also really liked this like leaf-shaped bowl up at the top there.

[00:07:52]And just taking a peek at everything.

[00:07:54]These were little um I don't know, sugar containers.

[00:08:00]I thought the um little fruits at the top were really cute but both were missing their spoons.

[00:08:10]Some nice little butter dishes and I liked this little square plate as well.

[00:08:16]A little waffle maker.

[00:08:19]And lots to look at.

[00:08:22]I thought this frying pan was a really nice one. It was stainless um and it was very gently used. It was $8 which is a little pricey but still for a nice stainless steel pan it's still affordable.

[00:08:45]Hi guys, I'm back in the car and I'll show you my little haul. I did end up getting that um neck mount or I don't even know what these are really called but I'm really excited about this. I've been meaning to get one. I was going to get one on Amazon. It probably be a little more expensive like this. This was only three bucks and I don't know if you guys caught when I first started filming but um the orange tags were half off and the woman at the cash mis took this for an orange tag. It's actually red or I don't know if that's their orange but I don't think so and she gave me half off. So that was really nice. So half off three bucks so like a dollar 50, yes? Um and um that's a great price and I would have probably paid a lot more for that.

[00:09:32]If you guys don't know what this is, a lot of you have asked me if I already use these. Um you put it around your neck and then you can um bend and I liked that every part of this was bendy so I can really uh situate it how I want and it has some good resistance so I think that it should hold the camera really nice. This is going to be especially good for me for when I um um do on my vlog channel cooking videos cuz you guys know with my gardening and all that I want to show you like what I end up making and I'm going to do fermenting and canning. So I thought it would be great so this way I can set it around my neck, put it up, you get like a POV be POV angle and then I can use both my hands. It actually might be cool to to like do some um walkthroughs with but I don't know if I'm brazen enough to walk around a store with this strapped to my neck. I mean, having your phone out recording is one thing but having that strapped to my neck, I don't know if I'm too shy to do that or not but it will definitely be handy for my other videos that I plan on doing.

[00:10:43]And since it was only a $1.50, it was like a I think it was a $3 or $4 minimum for debit card and I needed to do that because I don't have any cash with me right now. So I just wanted So I just was trying to find something to bump up that price so that I could use my debit.

[00:11:02]I didn't really want nothing else but I am happy with what I got. I ended up getting this little IKEA cup and saucer set. There was a bunch of them. They're this beautiful green color. I have a few IKEA bowls um that are this beautiful green color and I love it. So I would just like why not?

[00:11:22]I'll get a matching cup set. This was three bucks. So it was the amount to bump it up. I did really want to get that little blue um it looks like a French salt container that I showed you that was um at the start of the video. I wanted it but I wasn't crazy about the color and I don't really I use dark like blues to decorate with so I just felt like it wouldn't match my vibe if I had it set in the kitchen or whatever and I'll probably come across I mean, it's a container so you know, there those are um all the time in thrift stores. I can find one I like better but I did really love this cup and saucer set. It's a really cute little thing ceramic and I like that it was from IKEA. IKEA is a Swedish brand I believe is it?

[00:12:09]And they actually have higher standards for like the things that they use in ceramics. So like some ceramics can have lead and harmful stuff um in the ceramic and IKEA is a lot more stricter I know about what they put out and what's in it. So most of if you see IKEA ceramic, most of the time is they're strict and if it cuz the European standards are higher. So I liked that and I'll be happy to have it as a little mug but that's all I got for my little haul. I'm on now to um my practicum site and I'll let you guys know how that goes and maybe I'll hit another store um when I get done in there. It's I really liked my coat. I got a few compliments in the store for how I was dressed. It was really nice but um it's getting real hot now. The sun's out today. I'm super happy. It's now spring but I think it might I might have to take my beautiful coat off in a few maybe an hour because it's getting kind of hot. But anyways, I'll see you guys in a bit. Bye-bye.

[00:13:33]But they I don't know what's happened to them the past few years but they sell everything. They sell pizza now.

[00:13:41]So they were like originally like a donut shop with coffee and now it's like they have everything. They have sandwiches, they have wraps, farmers wraps, all types of drinks. They This is a new drink so that's why it popped in my head of They're starting to be like Starbucks.

[00:13:57]They sell frappuccinos and summer drinks and refreshers and juices and and there's probably like 200 things on their flipping menu. There's so much stuff to buy in Tim Hortons now. Pizzas?

[00:14:10]Like you're joking.

[00:14:12]A donut shop that sells pizzas, cookies, um they sell tarts now and creme brulee and all these sorts of stuff and every coffee you can imagine. It's like crazy.

[00:14:23]They it's just a lot I think. It's It's always overwhelming going to Tim Hortons to pick what you want but and I got it's really good this new raspberry. So if you guys have Tim Hortons near you, I'd recommend checking out the raspberry stuff. There's a raspberry protein drink and I tried that but it's not too good.

[00:14:47]Um I didn't like that too much but the raspberry flavoring they use is really delicious. This is a frozen raspberry drink and it is really good. And I also tried the iced tea one. It's really good.

[00:14:59]I have a bad habit now of going through drive-thrus for drinks just cuz I take my clients to get them. Like some of them are some clients they live they live on the reserve so it's like a 30-minute drive to go anywhere so I take them when I go give them like counseling. I'll like take them to get something to eat just cuz I don't know.

[00:15:17]Like it's just a nice treat to do for them and and so I get something too cuz I don't want to just like be the odd one out I guess so I get like a drink or something and I have to stop because they're not healthy drinks and I'm trying to eat healthier.

[00:15:32]But anyways, and I'm still really excited about that little um a $1.50 for that little neck holder um thing for my phone for when I'm filming.

[00:15:47]Anyways, guys. So today was a good day. I guess it was mostly a ramble and I don't even know if any of what I say is interesting. Um it's just like the past two days I just wanted to talk to you guys really and I hope you enjoyed these videos. I love you guys very much. Now I'm going to enjoy my little food. Um probably watch Pineapple Express cuz that's the last movie I was watching on Tubi and I'm going to put that up. Just have like a 30-minute little break, have some get some food in me and then I'll go back to work. And yeah. I love you guys very much. Take care. I'll see you in my next video. Bye.
