Expansive look at art

[00:00:00]Someone asked me why I have such a broad definition of art, and it's because I am not part of the art establishment in any way, shape, or form anymore. And there are so many forms of both making and creativity that maybe aren't part of the fine art sphere, but are incredibly important to our society either for our intellectual benefit or for our physical benefit. And I have to say, people who work in adaptability materials, so things like making a hand here. There's a wonderful channel that shows them making eyeballs out of glass.

[00:00:40]There is a lot of very fine skills of sculpture that are involved in this. I am giving you a excerpt of it. My favorite is the nails and the care they take to make sure the nails look nail-like, realistic. Like look at the nail beds. And I skipped over the part where they mirror the hand. Obviously, if you just used your right hand as your left, the thumb would be on the wrong side. But these kinds of things are very important. And if you're somebody who loves making things and you're young and you're looking for careers, there are things that we still need, will always need, that are made by hand.
