My MRI results! Home Bargains Haul and Ride Home with Me

[00:00:00]Right. Hi everybody. Welcome to another mix vlog. Um, in this vlog I'm going to take you to Pton around Home Bargains, do a bit of a Home Bargains haul. Um, go on the bus. Um, and chat to you probably.

[00:00:18]I don't know where it's going to take me. But I'm also going to give you my MRI results. Um, for my regular viewers, they do keep asking me. I thought I'd told you, but maybe I haven't. So, I will um tell you that. So, if that's something you think you'll like, please keep watching.

[00:00:48]Right, welcome to my channel. Oh, do you know it's so warm? I'm going to have to take my cardigan off. It's really warm today. Um, it's a beautiful, beautiful blue sky. Right. So, um, the filming, a lot of the filming is yesterday when I went into Pton and went, um, around Home Bargains. I just thought I'd show you what I bought in Home Bargains, which you will see later on. It's not a massive amount, but I did show you anything I thought that was new in Home Bargains. And there are lots of bargains in Home Bargains, aren't there? I haven't been for a while, so it was nice to go around there. I didn't get too much because obviously I had to carry it. So, um, that's one good thing about your car, isn't it? Doesn't matter how much you buy, you can put it in. You don't have to carry it home.

[00:01:37]Anyway, first of all, I'm going to tell you my MRI results because um, a few of you have asked, and I thought I'd mentioned it, but maybe I haven't. So, what happened was um oh well, it's nearly two months ago now. I had what they thought was a seizure. They weren't sure whether it was a seizure or or um TIA. I keep saying MRI instead of it or a TIA, but anyway, they decided it was a seizure. Anyway, I had an MRI and the results were normal, which was really, really good. They said the consultant said that the results were perfectly normal. They couldn't understand why I'd had a seizure because apparently this is why you can't drive. You can't drive for six months after you've had one. But apparently if you don't have another for six months, they don't class you've got epilepsy unless you have two. Well, Touchwood, I haven't had another, but who knows, you know. I don't know. I've never had one before. But anyway, the MRI eye results were uh normal. You know, he said there was no reason why they could see that I'd had a seizure.

[00:02:46]Now, what do I think it is? Well, everybody disputes this, but I think myself I had a few days before I had a um cortisone injection in my knee and it never felt right from them doing it. And normally when I have I think it's cortisone, you know, one of those injections they give you in your knee.

[00:03:06]Now, um, normally when I have one, I have had them before, it always feels within about a day, it I can feel the benefit of it. Well, if anything, it's been worse since I had this injection.

[00:03:21]It's certainly not helped. Um, I I do think I'm going to go and see my local doctor and see if he thinks it could be that, but I have read on the internet that they can, in rare occurrences, cause a seizure. So, I'm putting it down to that. But don't listen to me because it may not be. I'll probably have another and then it'll um counteract that theory. But that's sort of what I've got in my mind.

[00:03:49]So, I'm a little bit cautious about having another. Anyway, that's a bit of prattling on. I don't know what else I was going to tell you. I'm sure there was something else I was going to tell you. Anyway, let's get into the video and I'll come on at the end. just nipping into Pton having a look at Home Bargains and what I bought and a bit of a bus ride. So, I'll see you later on at the end of the video. Here I am in Home Bargains and as you go in, there's all this solar lighting and you know, it was so reasonable. The prices have really come down, haven't they? Look at these.

[00:04:24]Can you see these? Um, the small ones, but they're 79p each for you to stick in your garden.

[00:04:31]you know, illuminate a pathway or something like that. 79 p.

[00:04:39]Then I got a couple of these. These were 149. A little bit bigger. I thought I'll buy a couple every time I go in. I would have bought more, but because I'm on the bus, you know, I don't want to carry too much. Now, I thought these signs were nice for your garden. They were $1.99 each. Um, and there was three or four different designs.

[00:05:01]Welcome to our garden. Gardening is my passion or something.

[00:05:08]Love, laugh, and garden. I Oh, live, laugh, and garden. I thought they were really nice, those sort of garden signs. 199.

[00:05:21]Then these are like it's like football drink holders. And these are things for the garden blankets and such.

[00:05:31]Then I thought this was very good. It's um body wash, but it it says you save £13 and a penny. I don't know whether you do, but it's only £1.99. Anyway, I've bought one to try. I'll let you know how it is. And they had lots of different body washes.

[00:05:51]Some really nice ones.

[00:05:55]Then I took a look across at the shampoos. Oh, don't know that I'm quite there yet. No, I'm still looking at the body washes. Sorry about that.

[00:06:07]And these are lovely. They like bird boxes. Aren't they cute? Like little post boxes.

[00:06:16]I think the uh post the postbox ones were $3.99 each and I think the other ones may have been $1.99.

[00:06:26]Now, I'm showing you this toothpaste because I bought this um a couple of times ago when I was in and I I wouldn't recommend it. The toothpaste is all right, but it gets blocked in the tube all the time.

[00:06:39]Then these are like universal um head brushes for your electric toothbrush, more body washes, and then we're on the shampoos.

[00:06:58]Now, they had some really large LV ones which were $7.99. I'll show you them in a minute. And um they had a liter of shampooing. I thought they were very good value for money.

[00:07:11]There's one. Can you see? And the the lilacy one as well. I think I'll show you them again in a minute. Here we are.

[00:07:21]It's got a liter of shampoo in and it's $7.99. And a pump action on the top.

[00:07:28]These were plant pots. Thought they were a nice color. They're quite large ones actually.

[00:07:35]for the garden. Well, I would imagine they're for the garden.

[00:07:40]And then these were quite big.

[00:07:51]And these were bags for you to put your hair products in.

[00:07:56]There's lots of other things, but I was trying to look at things that I thought were new in or more unusual.

[00:08:03]Lots of vitamins.

[00:08:07]Now, this is the Flash uh floor cleaner that you just squirt on the floor.

[00:08:13]And this is an Astonish. It's the rhubarb one. I'm never keen on the rhubarb fragrance.

[00:08:19]And then there's some Avi products. Now, I think they're very good. Uh they seem to have quite a few in Home Bargains.

[00:08:27]Then they did a big selection of toys.

[00:08:30]Lots of these superheroes.

[00:08:32]Quite a lot of toys. More than what I've seen in the past.

[00:08:38]Batman stitch. And there was lots of Peppa Pig.

[00:09:01]Lots and lots of toys. There were board games.

[00:09:06]Worth buying to put away for Christmas really, aren't they?

[00:09:11]Now, these were good little bottles of flexet. you know, if you just want to put them in a gift bag for, you know, with some other things.

[00:09:19]And there was lots and lots of mugs, some really nice ones and a good price as well.

[00:09:27]Lots were $1.99 or $2.99.

[00:09:32]And some of them look really good quality.

[00:09:42]I thought this croc was nice. The beige at the bottom.

[00:09:46]Can you see? It's like cream and beige.

[00:09:56]More mugs.

[00:10:03]Then they seem to have a lot of things for Father's Day. Oh, we're still looking at the mugs here.

[00:10:12]There were absolutely loads of them.

[00:10:20]These are some of the Father's Day product. I'm not sure when Father's Day is, but they seem to be a lot for for dads and granddads.

[00:10:35]You don't know what to get them, do you?

[00:10:38]Socks and mugs and things.

[00:10:53]Thought that was good. The big word is original.

[00:11:01]Now, these are dates. I often buy these when I go in. I'm always saying I'm going to make a sticky toffee pudding and then I end up eating the dates.

[00:11:10]My granddad used to love dates. He used to eat them every night, but he used to get like a block of cooking dates.

[00:11:17]Now, this kinko was a good price, but I only have decaf and they didn't have the decaf.

[00:11:25]And then I showed this because who remembers a steak fray bento steak pies?

[00:11:30]Well, would you believe they got a mac and cheese pie in a tin $1.99? I thought this was good for Father's Day or also for Chris Reen if he's watching this. He loves tea.

[00:11:45]Don't know whether you watch his channel. He has a very good channel.

[00:11:48]This is Then I went in Costa and this was my lunch. A bacon roll and a latte.

[00:11:55]then to the bus stop. Here I am sat at the bus stop. I had to wait quite a while actually because um there was a diversion and so the buses had to go a different way just across from the bus stop. I don't think you can see the here. It's a Japanese restaurant. We sort of have everything in Pton.

[00:12:16]Right, I'm on the bus now.

[00:12:21]>> Oh, the 24th is >> I do wait a long time. In fact, I ended up getting a different bus, but it takes me fairly near.

[00:12:28]And this had to go on a diversion cuz the main road into Pton was closed.

[00:15:10]Right. Hi everybody. It's now the next day. Um, I'm just going to show you what I actually bought in Home Bargains. Now, I would have bought more, but because I was on the bus, I couldn't carry anymore. So, I didn't want to carry too much. So, uh, it's probably a good thing because you spent things on things that you don't really need, but you think, "Oh, that's a bargain."

[00:15:34]And they're trying to show you the things that I hadn't seen before in Home Bargains. Um because I know you know lots of the things it's just rep repetition, isn't it? Now I'll just show you what I bought. Um now I forgot my glasses. I'll probably need my glasses to uh sort out the prices.

[00:15:55]I'll find my receipt. Just bear with me.

[00:15:57]I've got the receipt. It's very faint.

[00:16:00]So I'll let you know.

[00:16:03]I'll see if I can read it. Right. The first thing I got was the I probably shouldn't rattle these cuz Pegg is over there. She probably knows what they are. The reduced tarter buildup um the the uh dental sticks for um dogs. There's 15 sticks in there and they are $2.99. She's over here. Um I'll probably have to give her one. I usually give her one of these if I go out and leave her and she knows. She just takes it in her bed and knows. Right. So, they were $2.99. Now, what's the next thing on here? Oh, the bird mail. The bird mailbox. It's like a little nesting box.

[00:16:47]Um, I'm going to try and hang it on the tree, but I probably need something because of the wind. I probably need something a bit more sturdy than this.

[00:16:57]Maybe a ring tie or something. It's a mailbox birdhouse.

[00:17:03]There were some different designs, but this was $3.99. I thought it was very good. I really like it. Isn't it cute?

[00:17:15]Then I got these tea flour biscuits.

[00:17:19]Uh my sister-in-law is in hospital and I thought uh they were only $1.99. I thought I'll take her them with some other things, you know. Um, they're just shortbread biscuits, but I thought it was quite pretty and quite a pretty tin.

[00:17:33]$1.99. It's quite good value, isn't it?

[00:17:39]Right, these. Now, I bought two of these wired. So, I showed you the solar lights, but these were a little bit bigger. So, I'm going to put these in the garden. I'll let you know what they look like. Um, and we'll see how we go on. And if they're all right, I might buy some more. I probably will buy some more. I didn't do a big shop. I bought two of those. Sunrise pitcher dates.

[00:18:06]I keep buying these to, as I said before, to make a sticky toffee pudding.

[00:18:12]They're good value. These, you know, a pound 9. I keep eating them. You know, as I said before, my granddad used to love dates. Every night he used to have they used to be able to get them in a solid block. And every night he would eat them. He always used to say they were his sweets. Now these are pittent, so there's no stones in them.

[00:18:35]I mean, it does say they may contain an odd stone. Uh, but I have not had any in. So, really good. Oh, I mustn't open them because I do keep eating them.

[00:18:49]Right. What's next?

[00:18:55]Right. this True Moments and Company Floral Collection shower gel, bath and shower gel. It's a liter and it said it's called Poppy Whisper.

[00:19:08]It does smell nice. I did have a little smell of it.

[00:19:13]Sort of a little bit fruity actually, although it says floral. Um, and it said you saved some fantastic amount of money. I can't remember off the top of my head, but it was a lot of money you saved. So, I might just see if you can get that anywhere else, you know, cuz you never always know whether the saving is actually a true saving. But anyway, for $1.99, it's good value, isn't it?

[00:19:43]Uh, mailing bags. I always get a pack of these. They're handy. Um, they are 99.

[00:19:50]There's eight in there. A3. for a good value, aren't they? Can't grumble at that.

[00:19:58]Then I got some parcel tape.

[00:20:01]I'm running out of parcel tape and that was 79.

[00:20:07]And then I needed a new toothbrush head.

[00:20:10]Uh and I did look at them and uh I think it's an Oral B toothbrush and they were quite expensive. I think they were were they $7.99 each. Um but anyway, um a lady said these are very good and they're 24.49 and there's four heads in and it's a universal one. So hopefully they will fit my toothbrush. And if they do, and actually when I was coming out the lady at the checkout said because I said, "Oh, I hope they do fit my toothbrush."

[00:20:46]She said, "Oh," she said, "Mine's an Oral B and I always buy those." So that was really good value. So it says um Dent Expert Pro universal replacement brush heads. So that's good value.

[00:21:02]And then I think finally I got some vitamin C tablets.

[00:21:10]Um, now I might be giving you too much information on this, but um, I used to get lots of water infections, lots and lots. Um, I was always bothered with them and they're so painful, aren't they? Um, and what once when I went, it was a different nurse at the surgery and she said, "Have you tried Hiprex?" Um, and I said, "No." So, she put me on this Hiprex. I think it's an oldfashioned drug. Honestly, it's been brilliant.

[00:21:41]Honest at touch wood. I shouldn't say how good it's been, but it's been amazing.

[00:21:47]You know, like for oh, maybe 18 months, it's been absolutely super. Anyway, I was reading this article that said it works better or well with vitamin C tablets. And I thought, well, they're not going to do me any harm. I mean, to be truthful, it works anyway. But I thought I'll take the vitamin C. Hope I'm not giving you too much information there. So, that's my home bargains haul.

[00:22:13]Um, I hope you enjoyed the bus ride. I wasn't too sure whether that was too much, the bus ride, but a few people in my last video when I did the bus ride said they really enjoyed it, you know, looking at the houses and that, but if you think it's too much, let me know and I won't include it again. You know, I just thought if I go out because I'm intending going out and about on the buses, you know, um, whilst whilst I can't drive. Right. So, I think that's that that's the end of my home bargains bit.
