[00:00:00]Popular teaching today says that evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit is the fruit that you produce and I would just say yikes.

[00:00:07]The Spirit lives in you. He should be producing fruit inside of you. Fruit cannot be the evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Hear me well.

[00:00:47]The truth is that throughout all of the Old Testament history, we have people who have been faithful and long-suffering and full of peace and full of joy and they never had the baptism of the Holy Spirit until Acts 2. The baptism of the Holy Spirit hadn't even come on them yet. So it doesn't make sense that now all of a sudden this Acts 2 moment that the church would be empowered, the Holy Spirit would come upon us and empower us to go PRODUCE FRUIT THAT WE'VE ALREADY BEEN PRODUCING.
