[00:00:15]It is Wednesday, May 6th, 2026 and today we've got looks at solar electric energy introduction to the planet. We'll see a confirmation of key galactic physics.

[00:00:24]And of course, we are starting with the sunspot, solar, wind, coronal holes, and the last 24 hours on our star where we've had lots of confined crackling at the active region crossing south of the equator. Minor pop top left in a far side eruption. Not much else to see.

[00:00:39]Still could have a coronal hole impact in the solar wind tomorrow or Friday, but it should be minor. Quick note here.

[00:00:46]Experts are now saying that a very slowm moving CME is what caused the G2 solar storm two nights ago. Couldn't be less powerful of an event as you see here.

[00:00:56]True, it has southpointing magnetism, but that happens every other day or so.

[00:01:01]It's supposed to take some kind of power to trigger a storm level condition. Our weakening magnetic field is allowing that to happen more and more easily.

[00:01:10]When operators read the matrix, they see life in the code. When I read this, I see a toddler knocking down Mike Tyson.

[00:01:18]The explanation is that something must be wrong with Mike. By the way, these sunspots are nowhere near on their game.

[00:01:25]Size is modest, decay is prevalent, magnetic mixing is absent. Wouldn't be expecting much of any flaring from these today unless there is a major growth event. But that's why we watch. Speaking of those mic problems, the global energy circulation when we're hit by the sun is becoming better tracked, especially since it's becoming more obvious now with more energy coming in as our magnetic field weakens in the ongoing pole shift. Excellent reminder of how electronamically the sun injects its energy impacts the entire planet and at every altitude of the atmosphere, even down into the ground. Top story today hits an examination of galactic magnetic fields. And we'll take a moment to do a physics lesson. First, here's the key product of the study. Galactic fields traced in magenta and blue. Their shape is a function of the polar and radial fields. Galaxies have the north south looping structure, but also a radial one that threads the disc. This is where the galactic current sheet is found. In their study, the peaks of the blue loops weren't strong enough up at the top and bottom to show up, but you can picture the figure 8 snowman shape if there was ample dust at high latitude to show them. As for some of the detail, let's remember that the galactic plane containing the radial field expands outward and begins to form the wave pattern. This is the Parker instability.

[00:02:48]While the core of this is maintained, there are peripheral effects. It's not just a point in space, but a thick sheet, if not multiple sheets. The bulges of the waves up and down are connected to the north south polar magnetic fields stretching far north and south and rejoining that bigger blue loop. They may be different colors here due to light polarization choices by the authors, but it is one magnetic system, one that's reversal point is hitting our solar system right now.
