Treating a systemic infrastructure failure as a personal miracle highlights the reactive nature of modern advocacy. It shouldn't take a near-death experience to realize that neglected concrete eventually yields to gravity.

I Would've Been Dead Today After My Office Building CollapsedAdded:
Greetings viewers and subscribers. This is BVI Channel 1 where we tell you nothing but undiluted truth. I come with gratitude to God and I wish you join me to thank and appreciate God for his mercies, for saving me and my staffs from what could be a colossal damage and disaster.
Coming to the office, we are we are housed in a building that is about 50 years with sketchy kind of maintenance.
So, partly some part of the building collapsed after the heavy downpour.
And it came at a time when we are not in the office.
At the morning times before we came, we saw what happened. People already gathered wondering what could have happened. Is there any casualty? Lo and behold, it happened on a day, on Mondays. You know, people are still trying to adjust to start work on Mondays and all that. So, my staff doesn't come out on Mondays or on that early.
So, it happened that before we came, the deed had been done.
If it happened at a time where we are at the office, the story would totally be different.
Having the building collapse and the roof came down, because my office is on the floor, what was salvaged was just some equipment that are not within the area of the collapse.
But we thank God no life was lost. Not even one injury was recorded.
Wow. Wow.
I don't know anything about that article. You know, this The body that I put another one like this. Wait.
Oh my gosh.
Beautiful.
Y'all get 52 in one.
Follow me.
Hello.
Then bust out that Hello.
No, no, no. That was the start time, sir. What do you mean you put it over there?
Oh.
How does it come blocks everywhere?
Let's see.
Where did this happen? Where did this happen?
Oh.
Where did this happen here?
We have already started evacuating the debris, the whole thing, clearing and cleaning up everywhere in order to start putting things back in order.
Okay, and um uh we brought in the Abu Keys, you all know, to do describing. They took out everything, and um we're looking forward to bringing the carpenters that will take a look at the measurement of the roofing and all of that and fix all of that, then mount our Starlink. So, [snorts] all of that are part of the things that we're going to do um to get our feet back again, but we are not stopping Easy.
You go climb on top that thing now.
Climb on top this thing. They one side.
They no come.
You understand me?
Hey, they one side. They one side.
Uh-huh.
No, they one side then. Uh-huh. Good.
Just from the tip. Don't leave that one.
Leave that one.
No, light no down.
Light go down now.
Uh-huh.
Easy. Don't take them easy.
Be careful.
That place where you hold Uh-huh.
Take it easy. Take it easy.
That thing.
Why Why not knock it?
Welcome back.
That thing.
>> Starting damage.
So, they will just be there by now.
Hopefully, yeah.
So, that's basically why So, it is a thing of joy and gratitude for me.
And we appreciate him and we reinforce our commitment in our service to humanity.
Nevertheless, people are telling me, "Oh, congratulations. Thank you. Thank God that nothing happened to you. Nothing happened to anybody. Nobody injured."
and the rest of them.
I will tell you a funny story of what happened sometime with a friend.
There are about four of them traveling from Awka to Onitsha.
And the one that is driving with his car with the other of our four friends, they are elderly people actually, but the one that is driving is the most senior. We call him Biafra soldier.
Old soldier.
So, along the line, the tire busted.
They enter the bush, tumbled and under At the end of the day, the four of them came out unscathed. None of them injured. Not even a bruise. And people gathered. People were surprised. Oh, what a miracle. With this kind of accident, no injury, nothing. And the rest of them. People were thanking God.
Everybody was happy that every one of them came out unscathed. But you know one funny thing that happened?
The other man, the old man that his car was involved, you know, the one that is driving his car with the occupants who are our friends, was lamenting. Everybody are shouting, "Uh, to God be the glory. Nobody was injured. But I am seriously injured. My pocket is seriously injured." And people were wondering, "Where is the injury?"
He was pointing at his car that was badly damaged.
That it is money that is going to be used to fix it. Is it not enough damage?
Is it not enough injury, especially in this terrible era? Anyway, that is just the story. But I must tell you, we thank God for what happened.
We hope that God who saved us and brought us into this very commission and commitment to serve humanity, will provide the resources for us to fix back what have been damaged. Our Starlink was damaged.
To fix it or get another one will cost us about about 500,000. To fix the roof and the rest of them will cost us about the same amount. So, we're looking at over over a million to fix what was damaged. But, the most important thing is that no life was lost because life is priceless. You can't buy it. So, join me in this very gratitude and appreciation to God who did this.
>> [snorts] >> And as you are typing, please be sharing.
Maybe God will touch some of the people to say we donate to this cause to continue in this work and service to humanity. That office will be fixed [clears throat] and it's going to cost us something. My name's Asuquo Gerard Peters, your advocate for good governance. I'm signing out. Bye-bye for now.
