Newport’s 14-Acre Secret: Big Canyon Restoration Update

[00:00:00]Earth Day was April 22nd, and I like to do a little exposé on one of my favorite areas to walk my dog here above the upper Back Bay in Newport Beach. And this 14-acre site, I've been watching it as it's been progressing, and they are very well advanced. This area where the diggers are, that's going to all be tidal history, kind of salt marshy, and they'll be planting all the native plants back [music] in here. So, it's going to be a large area, going to be a lot of trails. Now, the trails that are the parking, that closed until 2026, [music] couple more months, but I'm looking forward to seeing the planting take [music] place, that's planting to you, planting take place so that I can go walk my little dog down there. Probably not allowed to cuz it's a nature reserve, but it's going to be beautiful, and it's going to be a great asset, great nature asset here in Newport Beach.
