Rathgall Hillfort is a significant Bronze Age hillfort located in County Wicklow, Ireland, dating primarily to the 12th and 11th centuries BC. The site, situated in the townland of Rath East near Tullow in County Carlow, derives its name from the Irish 'An Rath Geal' (the bright fort) and 'An Rath Gall' (the fort of foreigners or strangers). This large hillfort represents an important example of early Irish defensive architecture from the Bronze Age period.
