Polara BUFFED, Chimera REWORKED, FW Hard NERFED? All Upcoming Changes Plarium TeasedAdded:
All right, everybody. Welcome back.
Nimager here, and today I want to talk about a little bit of news uh that I saw in a video that kind of came out at a weird time. It was night time for me um in in America, and usually that doesn't happen. And it was a one of those game show videos that they do every so often where they have one of the Plarium employees come on, go through some news that they talk about with some of the other guests. the guests can then ask a question and then they'll determine if they want to tell us something interesting about what's happening to the game. Uh if you want to check out that full video, it's about an hour and 10 minutes long from Mr. Big Papa D. And it looks like it is featuring uh Palomos Gaming and Booor. So other two other content creators along with D. And I just got finished watching the video and then got some random arena in the background. But just wanted to talk about a few of the notable things that I got out of that video which were pretty interesting to me. So, I believe this was a kind of pseudo promotion for an event coming up where they said there's going to be six new champions along with an event dungeon all the uh like Asgard event that they did with Thor and Freya, Odin, Loki, uh like the demon event they did with the Cheshire Cat and the Queen of Hearts, the the Alice Madness event. Um, so we could expect some new relics from this where they said six new champions.
And the event dungeon, from what I gather, is going to be pinpoint gear, which is a pretty good set. I'm not sure how it really fits into the world of Mercurial at the moment with Mercurial kind of topping everything over, you know, feral, pinpoint, all these other things that you might have chosen to keep your team safe, even stone skin.
Now you're just kind of in mercurial.
So, uh, still on the fence whether, you know, that's a worthwhile set to go farm, but it is one of the better ones.
I think it's better than the Chronoage set just kind of in general before Mercurial existed. Nowadays, I don't even know. Chronoage I've had I've I've seen in Siege a few times and it really is strong when it is strong. Uh, it's not always strong, but when it is strong, it's strong, which is a terrible way of saying that it could be good in some niche situations.
But, uh, there will be a new login champ like that. There's probably going to be a guarantee in sort of like a deck form, a tournament form, a path form. They didn't talk about the full ways to acquire all these champions, but most likely those will be the ways you do it.
Given that there's six new champions, I don't think they're going to guarantee all of them. So, I'd expect at least one or two to maybe prism only or uh maybe like a tournament reward, but six guaranteed champions over the course of an event sounds a little bit much. So, I wouldn't really expect those to be coming.
Outside of the event, they did cover some new things. Um, it was asked about an improved accessory filter for the game, and they did mention specifically like if I want to just filter my stone skin accessories and sell a portion of those, can I do that? Um, it's coming or something that they're acknowledging that the filter system could be improved. Specifically that though, um, they didn't mention like are is it in the works? Is it close? It's just the filter system we know needs to be improved. Kind of trademark Clarium answer for that. Um, another thing that was asked was about the rate up events.
You know, how you can do a 2x uh for a champion or for shards, but then there's also the 10x and 15x and goes up like uh to 20 20 or 25 I think at the moment.
And that's for getting a specific champion. So, not on the 2x in terms of the actual rates of the shards, but in terms of if you pull a legendary, a higher chance of it being this specific legendary, and it sounds like it's something they're investigating, but they have not confirmed or denied whether it's happening or not. I would assume at some point in the future it has to. Uh, you've got games like Watcher of Realms who have literal banner pity. And if you're not familiar with what that means, it means if you pull like two legendaries that aren't the rated up legendary during the summoning event, your third legendary or your second legendary as well has like a 50x and then like a 90x, like an insane rate up to the point where if you don't get it within four, uh, you'd have to be the unluckiest person on earth. So Raid, I think, is very behind on getting these new specific champions. And then when they require a lot of the new champions to kind of keep up with the meta specifically for PvP, it makes it difficult. Obviously, with the like the Tech Tion event, the Solinar event, they released so many insane void champions recently. And if you weren't pulling thousands of shards, you probably got none of them. even if you pull legendaries. Me, myself personally, I pulled nine legendaries on the Solenar banner and I pulled zero solenars. Um, very very disappointing system in the current day and age.
Some other things they talked about, um, this to me was the most interesting is Chimera rewards are lackluster. They know specifically for like Clash, the Clash rewards are so incredibly bad. You can get first place and get like a rare and epic gemstone. Don't quote me on that, just exaggerating how bad it can be, but it's it's very rare to get a mythical gemstone. And then even if you get a mythical gemstone, there's so many bad ones or the circle ones which you can get just from the normal Chimera chest as well. In addition to that, um something the Plarium employee mentioned specifically was if you plan to take Titus from the most recent fusion token system, wait for the update on how Chimera is going to change cuz they feel that people are focusing too much on damage for Chimera and they want it to be more trial focused. And that's potentially misquing a little bit, but from what I gather, it sounds like they really want Chimera to be more trial inensive.
And they literally said just be wary about pulling Titus and thinking you're going to have the max damage in Chimera, which led me to believe that there's some potential really big rework coming to how Chimera works as a system, as a reward base. Um, so just be on the lookout for that this upcoming fusion.
if you're able to use the tokens. Um, just make sure that you're checking out the news and maybe holding off on this fusion specifically until we get more details on what's changing in Chimera because if they take away the incentive to do damage, yes, you obviously still want Titus for Hydra. He's the one of the best champions other than Trunda um to make a team. But, you know, if you if you don't care about Hydra at all and you were looking for like big chimera damage or oneshotting bosses, um, Titus is still going to be good at that. But the incentive to do big Chimera damage might be going away in some form. Um, so possible rework. They did also mention Chimera quick battles are coming. That is a little counterintuitive to me with the fact that they were talking about this potential rework to Chimera and you want to focus on trials more, but then there's also going to be quick battle. I don't know if you're going to somehow be able to save what you did when you're doing a quick battle each week and maybe you just kind of get the same trials done or if it's truly just going to be like a quick battle and you got to hope your auto is set up to do trials which if they're trying to do trial focused and then that's like manual content but they also want to be more timesaving and understanding so they're giving you the quick battle. Those two things to me don't line up. So, we got to wait for a little bit more news on how that's going to work, but I do think Chimera does need to be reworked. The incentive to do it, at least for me, is uh just not there. It's the the mythical mats are worth a lot if you can get 25 every single run, but it takes so much time and you only have six days to do Chimera because there's that off day and on the random Thursday where you just can't do the battle. It's hard to get it uh done sometimes and then I end up just doing a big key of Titus on auto. So, that'll be interesting to see. Um I'm very much hoping that they do something interesting with Chimera. I think it's a cool game mode, but I think the trials are a little too punishing, especially if you miss one, then you you be 30 minutes into a fight and you just got to redo it. So, we'll see how that comes.
The last thing that was covered was faction wars overall. Something they mentioned for faction wars and my tag team is not geared so forgive me for losing every single battle here. Um something they mentioned for faction wars hard is they they did acknowledge that it is too hard. Now I do have an extremely good account and I did get Polaro.
Uh I do think there are some stages that are very hard. Um, I think there's maybe 10 to 15 specific stages they could call out in the nerf that's coming to the game. So, I do think like specific things like stage 14 of the dark elf crypt, some of the no weak hits, uh, where there's a little bit of RNG involved with the void champions, you get some of the 21 bosses, specifically the purple boss. I wouldn't be mad to see them totally nerf the purple boss all around. I think he's ridiculous. But they did mention that they they're thinking it's a little too hard and that they will tone it down a little bit, which is good for everybody because Polar, even though she's not an amazing reward and people weren't really incentivized to push for her, they did say that a Polaro buff is coming and they thought it was this summer and that would be within the next like two to three months if a Polar buff is coming this summer. So, the faction wars hard reward uh notoriously when you got Polar, she's really bad. You don't use her. I I've only ever seen her successful once in a incredibly well-built siege team around Maritka and putting her in her second form. Outside of that, I've I've never seen her be useful. So, she needs a buff. A buff is coming. That'll incentivize people to do faction wars. They're going to make it easier so a lot more people will be able to get Polar. I do hope that the polar buff is quite big. She she kind of needs to fill the shoes of like Arbiter, Marius, Ramanu, um all these free champions that you can get are really good. Lydia, they're all used all over the game. Especially Marius, especially Lydia. Romanu, I'm using a ton. Polar, I'm using none. I need her to be one of my most used champions for me to feel good about these 945 stars I earned.
Now, that said, they had the same problem with the uh Grim Forest Mythical. I haven't tested it out yet.
I'm pulling it during the next CVC, but I'm told Anaxia is not very good. So, I'm hoping the buff to Polar is quite good. Um, something that my clan mate brings up a lot is just if Polar started in her second form, she would be usable cuz she does have a kind of insane passive where allies under freeze receive 90% less damage. And then once per round when an ally dies, they just get revived with 100% HP and a freeze.
Now, it is a little bit hard to work with because they're revived and then you got to get them to take a turn to remove the freeze and then take another turn to be useful. But they are taking 90% less damage during that time. Um, so you know, even just putting her in the second form to start maybe buffing some of the other numbers. I she needs a really big rework and I would like to see her start in the second form. I think that would at least start to be more interesting, but maybe they've got a whole kind of rework planned and we'll see that coming. But anyway, I just wanted to cover that news that I saw. I thought it was interesting that it released at a weird time. So, we'll get out the video before a lot of this is kind of announced or put into specifics.
And uh let me know what are you most excited about in the comments. For me personally, it's the Polar buff and the Chimera rework. I hope some interesting stuff comes of it, but again, I some of the buffs are very hit or miss, so I guess we'll see. I I think the Polar one really needs to be a big hit. They built a whole game mode around like earning this champion. I thought the game mode was a lot of fun. Uh very stressful and kind of repetitive sometimes, but you know, the reward sucks and they do need to make it better. So, we'll see how it comes. Let me know in the comments what you're excited for. Um do you have any nerf ideas for what Faction Wars could be, what Polaro buff could be, uh this new event that's coming up? I I know there's not much information about it, but you know, just let me know your thoughts. Uh, if you like the video, please leave a like. If you liked it a lot, consider subscribing. Uh, other than that, welcome to the end of the video. I've been Imager, and I appreciate you for watching.
