[00:00:25]And 1 mole of ATP weighs about 500 g, so half a kilogram. So, let's take an 80-kg adult with a resting energy expenditure of about 1,800 kcal per day.

[00:00:44]So, we're actually talking about roughly 90 kg of ATP, more than the person's body weight. Sounds impossible, and it would be if ATP were stored like body fat. But, your body only keeps a tiny amount available at any moment, so roughly in the range of tens of grams.

[00:01:04]ATP is used, converted to ADP, and rebuilt using energy from food. So, ATP is not the fuel tank. It is the rechargeable battery of the cell, emptied and recharged again and again every second of your life.
