Woman accused of faking pregnancy in court

[00:00:00]Alison Rodriguez here. Happening this morning, the woman accused in the so-called fake pregnancy case tied to former Bachelor star Clayton Echard is headed back to court. 35-year-old Laura Owens facing multiple felony charges including fraud, forgery, and perjury.

[00:00:13]Investigators say Owens faked a pregnancy, altered ultrasound images, and lied under oath after filing a paternity case against Echard in 2023.

[00:00:21]Prosecutors also accused her of making similar claims involving a second man in Scottsdale. Owens has pleaded not guilty in both of these Arizona cases.
