The Ambassador Cruise Line's ship, Ambition, was held in Bordeaux after a norovirus outbreak left dozens of people sick with gastrointestinal issues. For a while, passengers couldn't disembark as French authorities assessed the situation. Thankfully, health officials have now given the green light. Passengers showing no symptoms are finally allowed to leave the ship, and normal operations, including shore excursions, are resuming. While enhanced cleaning and isolation protocols remain for those affected, the good news is that norovirus, a common stomach bug, usually resolves within a couple of days and isn't considered serious.
