[00:00:05]So, it looks like we have a male Asian lady beetle on the back there trying to mate with a female ladybug.

[00:00:16]Asian lady beetles have that typical [music] M shape on the back of their head while ladybugs do not.

[00:00:25]And while those two are in the same family of insects, they are not the same species.

[00:00:31]Which I'm sorry to say for this male that his attempts at mating here are not going to result in any viable eggs or offspring. That's the first time I've ever seen any attempt at interspecies mating going on in my garden. Pretty wild to catch that in action.
