Hello and welcome to the 2026 Billboard and Music Red Carpet liveream. I am your host Lindsay Havens >> and I'm Dro Wallow >> and we're super excited to honor all of our amazing women in music tonight. I have so many questions.
>> Oh my god, same. Plus, we're also answering your Yahoo fan mail questions, too. Let me go grab them. Hold on. Oh my god. Here they are. And they are juicy.
Yes, they are.
>> I'm excited to hear some of those. So, tell me, Drew, who are you most excited to see tonight?
>> God, who am I most excited to see? So many women in music, but more specifically, Miss Slater.
>> You know what's crazy?
>> Slater is with us right here.
>> She sure is. I get off that tequila period.
>> The carpet is a bit electrified.
Welcome.
>> Oh my gosh. How are you guys?
>> We're great.
>> Oh my god.
>> I need to ask you, is this a Slater original?
>> Um, it is not the skirt, but I did I made this last night in a panic >> last night.
>> Yep. And the hat. I just was like Celsius like crying in my apartment.
>> Okay. What you do to wear?
>> I know, right? It made headlines obviously cuz you made your Coachella looks. Tell us a little bit about what it was like performing at Coachella.
>> It was insane. It was my first time and something I've always wanted to do. Um, and yeah, I just wasn't expecting that like crowd or like the the energy from everybody. I feel like it was early in the day, but everyone still kind of gave me the feral the feral energy I needed, which was nice.
>> Period. Oh my gosh. Okay, so your album is called Worst Girl in America. Who is the worst girl in America and why that title? she is me or she's kind of like the person who's a little too much at a party or an event or like you know someone I feel like it's like a small town girl who like can't really get her [ __ ] together.
>> Yeah. Okay. If you had to pick I know it's like choosing a favorite child.
What's your favorite song on the album and why?
>> Oh wow. That changes every day. I feel like right now I love Unknown Lovers.
>> Like a little smooth little soft one.
She's a little softer, you know.
>> A little softer. So, because we're at Women in Music, tell us why it's so exciting to be a woman in music right now. What really gets you going about it?
>> I feel like women are just killing it. I feel like every female artist I see is not only I feel like some people are having like major resurgences, some people are like new and having major breakthroughs, but everyone is just really honing into their like craft and their creativity. I feel like I'm across so many different projects, I'm really intrigued by like the art that women are making. You know what I mean? It feels just like a good time to like, you know, every genre. Like I feel like it's just a cool time for music right now.
>> That is so incredible. And you look amazing. I'm can't wait to see what your pics look like. They probably come out better than mine. I do have to tell you though that I did listen to Crank on a loop at the gym.
>> I felt like I could run through a wall.
>> Thank you, Slater. Everyone say thank you so much, Slater. Have a great night.
You look amazing.
>> Thank you, Queen. Oh my gosh. Okay. And next, we have even more girl power. If you can believe it.

You're all itty bitty. You can all fit.
>> Easy.
>> Love the fits.
>> Okay. So, tell us, you are now the latest HiGen Global Girl Group. Tell me a little bit about how you've been managing the hype of announcing yourselves and making your debut.
>> Okay. Where do I go?
>> Um, honestly, it's been so surreal.
We're so grateful to everybody who has been supporting us and you know they've kind of watched us grow up in a way. So to be able to step into this new chapter with one another so beautiful and so special and we're so grateful that we have such supporting and amazing people that are following us and excited to see our music. So >> amazing. Okay. So, uh how are y'all preparing for your group's debut in May?
>> Um so we're training and we are in >> Hold the Queen. YOU CAN.
>> OH, HOLD the mic.
>> I was like, not you.
>> I can hold it. Thank you. Um, no, but we're training really hard and we're rehearsing and we're trying to hone in on our skills um and grow as a group and while we're waiting for our fourth member to be announced to the public, which is really soon.
>> Exciting. But yeah, so we're training and we're just trying to be become the best artists that we can be and the best versions of ourselves to make the people proud for our >> obviously you've been getting to know each other. You've been getting to know each other so well as you've been training. What would you say is one another's greatest strength?
Um, yeah. I feel like we all as we know each other for so long, we all connect very well and I feel like one of our biggest strengths as a group like we really support each other and like help each other whenever we need. So, um, before our debut like we're really sticking together and like building our connection and yeah, we love each other.
>> Amazing. Well, thank you so much, Prelude. Y'all have a fun time in there.
Hopefully, it's not hot.

>> We're so excited. We're kind of like, we've been dealing with some imposttor syndrome. Like, what are we doing here?
for Canadian walkers. But but we're stoked to be here.
>> Tell me a little bit about what it means to win the Global Force Award presented by Factor. God, we're just so honored and humbled to be here. This is our first sort of um American um award show.
So, this feels like really incredibly humbling and especially to be here with so many incredibly talented women. It just it's a dream come true.

>> Well, I mean their loss are gain to love hard, you know.
>> Yes, of course. Okay. As we as I've mentioned before, you guys are Canadian, right? So, what is the biggest win you think Canada has over the US other than the obvious?
>> We were really hoping for that. We were really hoping the Blue Jays would win >> the World The World Series. That was a sad day.
>> Let's win that. We have to pick another one.
>> Oh, he did.

>> Yes, totally agree.
>> Oh my gosh. Okay. So, tell us about your debut single, Ribbage, that's being released this Friday.
>> Um, well, it is a very dreamy and upbeat song, and I hope it resonates with people that struggle with depression and anxiety like I do.
>> Well, and I think it's beautiful that you're representing it. You're also just the the coolest person to ever live, so I'm sure everyone will relate. Um, how are you feeling about this debut?
>> I'm really really excited. I feel like for for this chapter in my music, I'm now also producing and >> so yeah, I'm very heavily involved with just like the the tech and um yeah, it's just been really really fun.

>> Oh my gosh, very cool. That's so incredible. I'm gonna ask you one last question. Yahoo fan mail question. Um, if you could collab with any woman in music, who would it be?
>> Pink Panther.
>> Oh, that's a great one.
>> Yeah, I mean, I love her. She's killing it. Yeah, >> absolutely. Okay, period. Well, thank you so much, Miss Bella Porch. You look fab.

>> So are yours. Love. Amazing. Okay, so tell us a little bit about your EP, Jesus Loves a Primadana. Are you the Primadana that you're talking about?
>> Yeah, I think um I'm a Primadana. I feel like everyone is kind of we can talk to it.
>> Absolutely. Are you kidding? Okay. So, uh tell us about the process of how this album came about and where did you record?
>> Uh I record at CJ's house. CJ is my producer. I work with him and Arthur. Um they're like my great like producer duo and yeah, I don't know. We spent like a few weeks just writing songs >> and it was like really fun, really easy.
>> Amazing. Okay, Miss I can do it all.
Period. Um, I do have a Gohead.
>> Hit us with a fan mail question.
>> Oh, yeah, we should do a fan mail question. Okay, so what have you learned from other women in the music industry?
>> Um, I feel like confidence is key and I feel like um all the women that I look up to, all the people here are like so confident in themselves and it really shows throughout their songs and their artistry.
>> Yeah, absolutely. Lindsay, >> I was just going to ask who you're most excited to see tonight. All of them. Um, I'm excited to see Kani, >> um, Tate, Zara. I'm like a fan of everyone here.
>> And it's all women, no men.
>> Oh my god, it's such a win. Well, you look fab tonight. Thank you so much for talking with us. I hope you have the best night ever.
>> Have fun.
>> Oh my gosh, you have a blast, girl. You have a blast. Okay.
>> All right. I am super excited. We have Cara Deivine with us walking up right now. How's it going?
>> Hi.
>> Hello. Come on in. Oh, so do you.
>> We are getting you at an exciting time because you just announced that you have music and some live performances coming up.
>> I do.
>> Well, tell us a little bit about what we can expect from this music.
>> So, yeah, it's basically kind of just what's been going on for the last couple of years. I've been doing music since I can remember. Uh, playing lots of different instruments, which has kind of saved me throughout my life. But, yeah, this is the first time I'm I'm kind of in a place where I believe in myself enough and I really have the confidence to do this. It's yeah been my biggest dream my whole life. So I can't wait for you guys to hear it. I'm so excited.
>> Oh, that's so amazing.
>> You ask for live shows right now. So I'm like buzzing.
>> Me too. Okay. What can't you do? Oh, whatever.
>> My hands are all screwed up in my guitar. So I can't juggle.
>> Well, how would you say female musicians have helped shape you?
>> Oh, I think when I didn't have a voice of reason or, you know, maybe someone to look up to, these amazing singer songwriters were everything to me. Uh, they say the things you don't want to admit to yourself. They say things that lift you up, that help you look in the mirror. Um, I mean, there are so many incredible women that I wouldn't be able to be standing here today.
>> Yeah, absolutely. Lindsay, so I know you're prepping your live show. I've seen you boopping around at a lot of concerts over the years. What's the best concert you've ever been to?
>> Oh, I I would have to say my first concert, which was probably the Spice Girls. I think just because we want them to come back so badly, >> right? Uh, and also just playing hard to get.
>> They're playing hard to get as they should. You know, it's it's smart.
They're teasing us.
>> Um, >> and probably Prince, you know, I saw a couple of times. Uh, but I also saw him play like a jazz club with like 20 people. So, that was pretty pretty great.
>> Lucky you.
>> Very very lucky.
>> That is so incredible. Well, thank you so much for your time. You look incredible. Have a great night. I hope you have so much fun. Bye, queen.
>> Oh my gosh. Next, we have our hostess with the mostess tonight. The one, the only Miss Kiki Palmer.
>> Good to see you again.
>> How are you?
>> Good to see you. Come on in.
>> Careful of the good to see you. Oh my gosh. You as well.
>> Haven't seen you since one OF THEM DAYS.
>> I KNOW. OH MY GOD. AND YOU GUYS GOT THAT ON LIVE, so she remembers me. Period.
>> Yes. How are y'all?
>> It's good to see you.
>> How are you feeling about hosting tonight, Miss Host?
>> I'm so excited because all the girls are here and even on the walk up to the carpet, it's already giving, "No, girl, you look good. No, you look good." So, it's just giving like kind of sleepover energy but with amazing music and amazing performances.
>> No man go. Yes. We love y'all though. We love y'all though. But tonight's not y'all none.
>> Not for them.
>> Not tonight. Thank you for talking about us on Kimmel by the way. Appreciate that.
>> Of course. That was a lot of fun giving a shout out.
>> So, what can you tell us about your upcoming film? I love boosters.
>> Oh my gosh. May 22nd is the day. I'm so excited. Shout out to my whole team.
Isaac Gonzalez, Taylor Paige, Poppy Leu, Naomi Aki. I mean, just the whole crew.
And of course, Goose Riley. I mean, this is about four women trying to take their life in >> their own hands. Um, but at the same time, I feel like the way that it's it's told, it still has so much energy, so much life, and so much inspiration while also being real at the same time. I mean, but this is typical Boots Riley.
Anybody that knows his work knows he's not afraid to hit some major topics, but still finds a way for you to be able to digest it, you know.
>> Yeah, absolutely. Well, as we said earlier, you are a hostess with the Mimosas tonight. What are you most looking forward to for the show tonight?
Well, I'm I'm really looking forward to talking to everybody. You know, there's a couple of moments where I get out there in the audience and I get to gag with the girls, but also the performances because, you know, everybody is going to be giving something. You know what I mean? I'm excited to see what Mariah is the scientist, is going to be doing, what she's going to be cooking up. Um, but everybody, it's so hard to say.
Everybody's going to be just so awesome.
>> Yeah, absolutely. Okay, I'm going to ask you one more fan mail question. Um, who is on your Women in Music, Mount Rushmore?
>> Oh, wow. Here we go.
H it's going to be Whitney Houston >> obviously >> Brandy >> um Mariah Carey >> and then that final person. Who is that final person going to be?
>> Kiki Palmer.
>> Kiki Palmer.
>> I don't do myself. That's so cheating.
>> I would say that last person. Who is that last person? Beyonce.
>> It has to be the only Virgo.
>> Yeah, Beyonce. But it's so hard because my girl Reed, too.
>> That's true.
>> It's like, why would y'all put me up against the wall like that? I think it has to be generation based.
>> Yes. Oh, that's a great that's a great point. Yes.
>> Well, thank you so much for your time.
You look incredible. Wait, give us a fit check real quick before you go.
>> Little Mon naturally.
>> I cannot wait to watch you host tonight.
>> You're going to kill tonight. Thank you so much. You look incredible. Bye. Bye, queen.
>> Yes. Next, we have the one, the only Chelsea Cutler. Come on down.
Hello.
>> I just realized you follow me on Instagram. And I was so That happened this morning. I didn't even know you're going to be here. Really?
>> Yes.
>> Oh my god. Yes, I do follow Chelsea on Instagram.
>> How's it going?
>> Oh my god, I'm so excited.
>> Oh my gosh, >> we're so excited that you're here. Tell us a little bit about your new single, Sorry I'm Obsessed with You.
>> It is a song and Yeah, I like it. I don't know. It is. Yeah.
>> What inspired you when you were writing it? I think I just I I think I've just been going through this kind of like stage in my life where I'm just trying to have a little bit more fun and not take things so seriously.
>> Love >> and yeah, I'm just trying to have some fun.
>> That's amazing. Well, what part about filming the music video for that song were you most obsessed with?
>> Ooh. Okay. Well, I feel like I was really outside of my comfort zone because I had to hook up with women uh with my whole management and like label team around me in a room.
>> Right. You're all the first part I'm okay with. With the team in the room, not so much.
>> The first part was awesome. The second part was in between takes I was like, "You send me nudes right now. I need collateral immediately. Like everyone's contributing.
>> I like that we went outside of like the comfort zone a little bit."
>> Yeah, absolutely.
>> So, what else can you tease for us? What else can we look forward to right now?
>> Um, I just finished my album, so I'm pretty excited about that.
>> Oh my gosh. Very cool.
>> Yeah. So, that's coming. And yeah, I'm just trying to have fun and I think the record's cool. So, >> very cool. I have one more last fun fan mail question for you. If you could collab with any woman in music here or otherwise, who would it be?
>> Oh my gosh. I mean, everyone here. It's like such an honor even just to witness the people who are here. If I could collab with anyone, like, does it have to be a music context or anything?
>> Anything or anyone? It's your world.
>> Could I collab on a joke with Kiki?
>> Yeah, why not?
>> Just a joke. Just a conversation. Just a riff. Just a riff. Yeah, >> you got to do a bit with >> some eye contact.
>> Yeah, >> she she'll be around all night so you could definitely hit her up.
>> I just got to stand next to her and I wanted to say like >> But I didn't.
>> But you didn't. You held it together.
>> You still You still could.
>> That's really good. Well, thank you so much, Chelsea. I hope you have the best night ever. You get in there. Start practicing your jokes with Kiki.
>> Do my best.
>> Thank you, Chelsea. I appreciate it.
Thanks, y'all.
>> All right.
>> Oh, we are speeding right along. Next we have Miss Kim Petrus and Margo XS. Come on down.
>> Hello. Welcome.
>> How are you? It's good to see you. It's good to see you, too. Hello. See you.
>> Y'all both look fab. Oh my goodness. Can y'all give me a fit check real quick?
>> Yeah. We're wearing headto toe kures.
>> Okay.
>> Period. I love it. Yes. No big deal.
>> We're getting vampires in music.
>> Okay. Period. Thanksgiving.
>> Thank you. Period. What? Go ahead, Lindsay.
>> Kim, you are presenting our executive of the year honor to Beth Matthews. Why was that important and special for you to do?
>> Um, I really care about songwriters and songwriters getting paid and ASCAP has been such an important part of that for me. And I didn't really know getting into this business how important that stuff can be. So, yeah, ASCAP is just huge in helping me make my career >> the way it is. you yourself have been more outspoken lately about those issues and about getting what you want, releasing music how you want. How has that been going and why is that fulfilling for you to kind of share your side of things? Um, I think it's fulfilling because I think uh artistic freedom is something worth fighting for and um yeah, I just think that every artist kind of deserves the right to express themselves however they want and so yeah, I'm just really uh grateful that I get to put out the music I want to put out.
>> Absolutely. Okay, last kind of fun question. Who are y'all most excited to see tonight?
>> Who are you most excited to see?
>> Um, who's performing?
>> You're asking me.
>> That's a good question.
>> Um, let's see. Um, Huntrix, Zara Larson, Kani Zara.
>> Our girl Zara for sure.
>> Midnight Sun Queen.
>> And you guys are all blondes. It all works out.
>> True. It just works so perfect.

>> Okay.
>> Hi, Queen.
>> Thank you so much, Senator.
Congratulations.
>> Thank you. Thank you.
>> The obvious question, what does it mean to be named executive of the year?
>> Oh, it means that we are here to celebrate songwriters. That's what it means. I'm just so happy to be here on behalf of ASCAP and really to celebrate our songwriters.
>> Yeah. And Kim is presenting to you tonight. She just said, you know, why that's so important for her. Why is it so special for you to have her give you this honor?
>> Oh my gosh. If you have met Kim Petrus or know anything about her story, she's she's the definition of bravery, songwriter bravery.
>> So, I'm really excited to sing with her tonight, too.
>> Absolutely. Oh my gosh. Well, who are you excited to see tonight, if anyone?
>> Oh my gosh. EJ, I just met Kiki Palmer.
So many people.

>> Um, it's going to be like a modified adapted version of the tour that I just went on. So, I'm excited to play some new things. Hopefully, obviously perform with Mariah.
>> Um, and yeah, just have a great time with the girls.
>> Amazing. Speaking of Mariah the Scientist, how would you describe the energy when you and Mariah link up on stage?
Um, I think we've only done um I think we've only really performed together one time. Today's going to be the second time we've ever performed together.
>> So, we're still like figuring it out, but it's cool.
>> Yeah. But you're two queens, so you'll work it out. I'm sure you will.
>> Yes. We're very grateful. You're Honda's featured performer tonight. Another artist that you're working with you and Tokisha. You're bringing the Latin flavored hard summer LA.
>> What are you most excited for? Um, I'm just really excited to perform this tour for the last time in a special and unique way.
>> Um, and yeah, just get ready to spend the rest of the year, you know, doing whatever I want to do every day with my life.
>> Sounds pretty nice.
>> Period.
>> What's at the top of that list?
>> Um, I'm working on my next album, which is my priority obviously, aside from my son. I don't know if you guys know I have a son. Um, so yeah, my priorities is my son and my album. Just making the greatest body of work that I've ever made.
>> Oh my gosh, how incredible. I'm itching to hear it already. Oh my gosh. Thank you so much for your time. You're amazing. You look incredible. You, too.
>> So much fun tonight. Have a great night.
Thank you, girls. You >> Oh my gosh, you too.
>> Miss Calli's the one, the only.
>> The last time I saw her, she came by Billboard and she was pregnant with babies.
>> A how cute. I love >> Oh my goodness. All right, we got Ella Langley here.
>> Yes. Now we have Miss Ella Langley. Come on down, queen. Miss, how are you? Okay.
Okay.
>> Tell us what it means to be honored with the Powerhouse Award tonight.
>> I feel like it means kicking down all those doors for so many years. Uh did not go to waste.
>> Yes.
>> Um I'm just excited to be here with so many women that I not only admire but look up to. And just to get to see everyone in person and just be in a room full of people that I admire so much.
Yeah, absolutely.
>> Amazing. Well, first of all, congrats on your first number one album. How exciting Dandelion, which topped the Billboard 200. What has surprised you most about Dandelion and its popularity?
>> Probably the whole thing. Um, >> you said all of it.
>> All of it. Um, I think you hope for the best when you're putting out music, but for me, I'm just making music that I love and that I want to sing every night. And to see what this record has done and continues to do, um, blows my mind. And I don't think you can ever expect something to do what Choosing Texas has done or you know going to, you know, just every day it feels like my birthday almost.
>> Oh, that's beautiful.
>> But it's kind of nice. It's kind of nice when you break records on the charts, >> right? That's why when you're a powerhouse, period.
>> Gray hairs come with it as well. You know what I mean?
>> Okay, I have a fun Yahoo fan mail question for you. If you could collab with any woman in music, either here or not, who would you choose?
>> Any woman in music ever?
>> Yeah, ever. Just one >> you could. It's your world I'm living in.
>> Off the top of my head, the first person I thought of is Rihanna. I think a >> great one.
>> Imagine you resurrected her music career.
>> Oh, no. I think that all she would have to do is show up at all, you know, hang out.
>> Just hang out or just breathe onto the track.
>> Ariana, I would love I would love it.
>> That's a great one. Well, thank you so much for your time. Congrats on your powerhouse award and your number one album. How exciting. Oh my gosh. I hope you have the best night.
>> I'm going to >> Yeah, you do. Get in there, queen. You get in there.
>> We got Brandy Carile coming.
>> Yes, we sure do. Come on down, Miss Brandy Carile.
>> Hey, how's it going?
>> Hello.
>> Come on in.
>> Right on that blue.
>> Yes.
>> So, I got to know, what were you and Laney just talking about?
>> I'm so embarrassed, but I'm going to tell you. There were these pajamas that were in the the the CMA's grab bag last year. something about sundaes and they got ducks on them and I live in them and my girls just don't want to know me because of these pajamas. Anyway, she wears them too and uh she said she's gonna give me some more.
>> Oh, I love that.
>> That's what we were talking about.
>> I'm glad that I asked.
>> Sorry. So ordinary.
>> Um so tell me you're here tonight presenting the innovator honor to Ley.
Why is that so exciting and special for you to be doing this for her?
>> Well, I think that Ley is just she she's one of the things where all boats rise with a voice like that.
>> Period. because she's pushing the boundaries and challenging consciousness around what can be commercial. I want to support that in any way that I can. That voice is just a once in a-lifetime voice and I mean anything we can do to push it forward, we need to do it.
>> That is so incredible. So your new album explores family and queer identity. What has been the response from fans with your authenticity and vulnerability?
>> Well, family and queer identity really go hand inand for me. I just wake up every day about as queer as I can be.
And >> Amen. period. Someone's got to do it.
I'm glad you're doing it.
>> And I think that the response has been kind of surprisingly relatable.
>> I love that, you know, that that straight people um and that people, you know, outside of queer relationships, maybe they don't have family members that that are queer or representing in in any given way, can see um a family like mine and go, "Yeah, you know, it's weird. We have a lot in common. I can I can relate to that." And I want to perpetuate and help uphold that right, which is, you know, not a one-way street.
>> Amen. Period.
>> I know we're at Women in Music, but I got to ask about working with Aaron Destner because I love Aaron and I love Long Pond and I just want to hear about that experience.
>> What do you know about Aaron and Long Pond? Are you like a bit Do you know him well?
>> I I I wouldn't say I know him well. I just love him and I love that studio.
>> Yeah, it's so nice. It's like when you're at Long Pond, it's immersive.
>> Yeah.
>> You're just You're there. There's no TV.
There's no video games. It's just you in this kind of like minimalist Amish barn and for some reason I'm able to really shut down to the world and and create there. And then Aaron, he's just he's an absolute delight and he's a genius and everything he touches turns to gold because of the way he plays. He's fabulous. He's a fabulous player and he's um his intuition is kind of >> That's incredible. And you are an icon and a legend. You're holding up the house for us. Thank god. Thank god Randy Carlile was on the case. Thank you so much for talking to us. I hope you have the best night. You have the best night.
A lot of fun in there.
>> Thank you so much, Ledge. Oh my gosh.
This way. Yes. Feel free.
>> Come on up.
>> Oh my god. Next we have Miss Laney Wilson. Hello. How's it going? I haven't seen you in a minute. I know. It's been a minute.
>> Oh my gosh. Okay. So beautiful. Thank you. Oh my gosh. You look fantastic.
>> Coach as well.
>> I know. Can you tell us about the fit check? Give us a fit check.
>> Yes. Okay. So this is Sahed >> and I am uh I'm just you know I wanted to wear my my business blazer tonight.
>> Yeah, you have to business blazer.
>> Yeah.
>> Um so have you recovered from stage coach yet? How are you feeling?
>> I don't know if you fully recover from a weekend like that. Um it was a party. So much fun. The wind tried to take us out but um we got to play the show.
>> Yeah.
>> The wind can't mess with Laney Wilson.
>> You're right. You're right. The last record we put out was called Whirlwind.
I said we should have rethought that one. They read that too closely to you%.
>> Okay. So, what does it mean for you to honor Ella Langley tonight?
>> Oh my goodness. I mean, she is she's my dear friend. She we've been friends for a few years now. And just to see what is happening with her. I mean, she is a powerhouse. There's no doubt about it.
Like, what is happening with her? I'm just so proud to be in the same genre as her. She is kicking down barn doors and I just couldn't be more proud of my friend.
>> That's so amazing. Yeah.
>> I mean, I feel like women in music are always dominating, but especially we're seeing it in country right now. What does that feel like?
>> Oh my god. I feel like we're just getting started to be honest. I've been telling the boys for a long time. I'm like, y'all ain't seen nothing. And uh that's exactly what's happening right now. I mean, these girls are making history. Um they are like doing things that like we didn't even know could happen. And I'm just I'm proud to uh like I said, just to be alongside them and holding hands and running to the finish line together.
>> Yes. Listen, alongside and leading the way, I would say >> I'll take it.
>> Absolutely. Okay, last kind of fun fan mail question. Um, who would be on your Mount Rushmore for Women in Music if you could make your own?
>> Gosh, that's hard. That's hard. Of course, I mean, Dolly Parton, >> um, Loretta Lynn, um, Janice Joplin, >> Stevie Nicks.
>> Oh, what a great one.
>> I mean, how many can you have?
>> For real.
>> I feel like when it comes to women, we just add all the faces, you know?
>> All of them. All of them. All of them.
>> All of them. The only reason I'm here doing this thing is because of what they've done.
>> Amazing. Well, thank you so much for your time.
>> So much for being here.
>> You look incredible. Have a great night.
>> Oh my gosh. Thank you so much. We are moving it along, people. We're keeping All the women are here and they all want to talk. Let's We have Miss Mariah the Scientist. Come on down. Hello.
>> Lovely.
>> Do you?
>> So you want to give us a fit check real quick?
>> All hanging out.
You know, I love him. He loves me because he blessed me with this off the runway. So, thank you.
>> Love it.
>> Period.
>> What does it mean to be Honda's rising star this evening?
>> I'm just shocked. I'm happy. I can't believe it. Wow. Honda's huge.
Obviously, Billboard huge. I'm just happy to be here and can't believe everyone's just embracing me.
>> Amazing. Well, how are you managing global tour life with Heart Sold separately tour and making special guest appearances with Caliuchi's on the For the Girls tour?
>> Um, it's been a lot. I'll tell you that.
Lots of back and forth, but I have I've had a really good time. I feel like it's been a huge growing experience. I've loved it and I'm excited to go out with Cali because that's my friend and we're going to have a good time. Yes.
>> Period.
>> So, you popped out at Coachella with Young Thug. Tell us how that came to be.
Like, how far in advance did you have noticed? What was it like?
Well, um, let me jog my memory. It seems like >> I was actually there. I watched you on weekend. Yes, I sure did.
>> Oh my gosh. Well, I'm glad you came. I had a good time. I would say, um, we came up with that maybe like two days in advance. I don't know.
>> That's how this business moves, isn't it?
>> It was cool, though. I mean, I had a good time and I appreciate the fact that he let me come out and, um, do that.
>> You know, Coach is great. Super huge.
>> Yeah. Period. Okay, last kind of fun question. Is there anyone you're really excited to meet tonight if you can?
>> Well, I just met Victoria Monae in person for the first time and she's amazing. She looks so good. Um, and I don't know what to expect. I'm just rolling with the punches. I saw Dion Warwick outside. That was iconic.
>> Yes, of course it was. Well, you look incredible. Congratulations on your award. Thank you.
>> Gorgeous.
>> Oh my god. Thank you. Thank you so much.
You look amazing. Have a great night.
>> Oh my god. What a great hug. We'll be hug.
>> Thank you. Oh, thank you, Queen.
>> Okay, now >> speaking of Victoria Monet.
>> To the beautiful Victoria Monae. Oh my gosh. Come on down, Queen.
You do, too. Good to see you.
>> Going. Hi, everyone.
>> Oh my gosh. Hello.
>> Come on in. Okay. Go ahead, Lindsay.
>> All right. Tell us how it feels to have let me hit the top 20 on Billboard Airplay. I'm very excited about that.
And my radio team at RCA worked really hard on it. They believed early on. So, I'm excited to have a team like that.
I'm excited that people are receptive to it. It was kind of like at first people were like I don't know, but now they love it. So I love I love >> Funny how that happened.
>> Yeah.
>> Uh what does it mean to have the dance community really go crazy with it?
>> Um that's very very exciting. It's always close to my heart when dancers love something because I started as a dancer. Um so it means a lot to me. I I visited a couple schools. I went to Spellelman and I went to Berkeley College of Music to check out their dance routines to let me and they're killing it. So I can't wait to see more.
love. Oh my gosh, THEY PROBABLY FREAKED OUT WHEN THEY SAW MISS Victoria Monae.
>> Very sweet. They did a whole like dedication concert. It was very, very beautiful. So, thank you. Shout out to Berkeley.
>> Yes, for real. Deserved. Go ahead, Lindsay. What were you going to say?
>> Once you get into that room, who are you most excited to see? Who would you run up to?
>> Oh my god. Honestly, everybody. Like, it's like a a girls night, you know? So, I'm excited to see everybody. We're always in our zones, like so busy doing our own things and working. So, these events are like our time to link up and cheers each other and say, "Hey, you've been doing a great job." So, I'm excited to do that.
>> My girl Zara over there on the seat. We're like, "Hey, girl."
>> Okay, last kind of fun fan mail question. Um, if there was anyone in music, any woman in music, whether they're here or not, that you could collab with, who would you pick?
>> Beyonce. Every time.
>> It has to be. I'm going to manifest for you.
>> Thank you. Please pray on it, everybody.
>> Oh my god. I think I would poo my pants if you guys did that.
>> Honestly, I might pass out before the release, but it would happen first. Yes, >> for real. Well, thank you so much for your time. You look beautiful.
Congratulations. Have so much fun.
>> Oh, yeah. Please do. Please do. You disappear out of frame.
>> Bye, girl.
>> Hello.
>> Oh my gosh. Now we have Heidi Mont. What an icon.
>> Come on. Thank you.
>> Oh my gosh.
Talking. Was that your first time meeting?
>> Yes. She is just an angel. I'm so excited.
>> Oh my god. She's radiating.
>> Oh my gosh. Yes.
>> Okay. Heidi, I have to say I watched you on Mass Singer. I thought you were amazing. What was that experience like?
>> You know what? It is so fun. The secrecy of the mass singer and there's nothing like it. It really brings you into this childhood play and everyone's so serious about it.
>> Um I think my favorite part was definitely stronger Britney Spears singing that because >> we all love Britney, >> an icon, a legend. Okay, so you're scheduled to perform at the Neon Skies Festival in Canada on July 18th. How are you preparing for that?
>> I am preparing watching Zara videos. I'm watching all the girls performing. I really am curating my show because I'm the uh label. I'm the producer. I'm making the whole show myself. So, I'm trying to figure out the backgrounds, the timing. Um I have rehearsals. So, I'm doing everything you could possibly imagine while trying to be a full-time mom.
>> Look at you.
>> You know, a woman of many.
>> And let's not add, you might soon be the wife of a mayor.
>> Yes.
>> Cipher is running for mayor in LA. What is that experience like right now?
>> It's incredible. Well, you know, we're both very busy and I fully support him and we are here for it. He is the right man for the job. So, I hope for LA's sake that he is elected and um we can have a whole new chapter that we're very excited about.
>> Very cool. Okay, last kind of fun fan mail question. If you could collab with any woman in music, who would it be?
>> I got Sarah Love.
>> Yeah, that's me, right?
>> I am loving Not just cuz she's standing over there.
>> No, because I my other interviews is always our favorite, too. Yeah. Um so, yes, I absolutely love her. Yeah.

>> Oh, it is all things are right now. Hi.
>> Oh my gosh.
>> Okay, so are we going to get Heidi on the remix album or what?
>> Unfortunately not. That would have been a moment though.
>> Yeah, that would have been crazy. See, this has like unlocked the the the collaboration monster in me, >> right?
>> Like I'm like, "Wait, I want to do more." Yeah. Yeah. Like I want more. So >> Well, everyone wants to work with you right now. So I say keep them coming.
>> I know. The woman of the hour. Okay. So what does it mean to receive the breakthrough award tonight?
>> It's so fantastic. We were just speaking about it on the side here. I feel like last year's Women in Music was kind of the first like event that I popped out on and um felt like it was the start of my new era cuz I just released Pretty Ugly. Midnight Sun was like in the works and uh looking back at this year like what has happened for me is so crazy. It means a lot especially since I've been >> doing this for a long time.
>> A long time girl. I'm a day one fan.
Yeah.
>> It's not a best new. It's a breakthrough and I think that is it it just shows that all the work that we have put in this year and way before this year like beyond has just paid off. Um and it's always nice to be recognized by that I think.
>> Absolutely. Period.
>> It's cool that you have multiple songs that are breaking through at the same time right now and popping up across different years.
>> Crazy.
>> Which one do you think you blast the most right now yourself?
>> She did it again.
>> Yes, >> it has to be.
>> I play that song all the time. Yeah.
>> All the time.
>> You said one thing about me, I'm going to listen to me.
>> No. Absolutely.
>> Yeah. One thing about me listen to me.
>> You should be.
>> Okay. If you had your own version of Mount Rushmore, like your your top women in music, four of them, who would you put on there?
>> I mean, my four are um the people that raised me, Christina, Celindion, Beyonce, Whitney Houston.
>> Period.
>> That's a good question. You said no further questions. Period. Okay. So, how did you tap into your bringing energy with She Did It Again?
>> Oo, I feel like we really wanted to make like a music video >> and she's just the the pop star, you know what I mean? So, um I just we just honestly me and Tyler, we looked at each other and we were like, "Haha, can you believe this is our life?" Like, we just like show up to set and we're like, "Let's be sexy. Like, let's be fun." And then we just had such a good time and we just enjoyed like being with each other.
Um the whole day was just fun. So I think I tapped into the Britney of like feeling free, feeling sexy, feeling like I feel like this was like a step from from being it was like a step in a different direction. I feel I felt very womanly. I felt very sexy.
>> Absolutely. I was going to say and y'all can dance your ass off. Both of you.
Period. Oh my gosh, that energy and we thank you for bringing it.
>> YES. AND LOOK, THERE'S MISS TYLER. Look at us. Oh my gosh. We're predicting everything. Well, thank you so much, Miss Yeah. the queen of the summer.
>> You have the best.
>> I love you.
>> Say hi to Tyler.
>> Miss Larson, the queen of the summer.
>> We got to take a quick break and then we will be right back.
>> Yes.
>> I love it. I love seeing all the Yeah, she cool.
Are you trying to meet?
Sorry.
I've never worked.
And we are back with Tyler. We were just talking about you as Zara. Your timing is perfect.
>> Yes.
>> You're here tonight presenting her breakthrough honor actually. So, what does that mean to be able to present this to your friend and your collaborator?
>> I'm excited that I got to do it. I feel like it's a perfect time. We just collabed on a song. You know, we've been friends for a while. So, I'm really proud of her to see how she's just like taken over and yeah, we're going to have a good time tonight. I know.
>> You've been here before. You know >> exactly. Okay. So, what was it like collaborating with her before she did it again? What was your favorite part?
>> Oh, yo, everything. Honestly, like when we did it, like I first went to the studio with her and we were listening to both of our music. She was laying on the floor. We were like vibing and like music video time. It was like I was shooting with my friend, you know? So, I don't know. I feel like it just fell into place. I felt like you guys pulled the confidence out of each other even more.
>> Yeah. And she's also just like >> it feels like she's me in a different font.
>> Like we just go together, you know? So yeah, it was really fun.
>> Amazing.
>> In a different font is a good line.
>> You have an album upcoming. What can you tell us about it?
>> Oo. Well, it's called Apoch.
>> Yes.
>> And it's coming 24th of July.
>> And >> very exciting. Oo. A summer album period.
>> You know, all the girls are on the summer vibe.
>> Yes. Absolutely. Okay, so last kind of fun question. If you could pick anyone to collab with that you haven't already a woman in music, who would you pick?
>> Oo, mama. I mean, I think Pink Panther is like her production. I would want to play with that.
>> Oh my gosh. Amazing. Oh my gosh. I'll freak out if you guys collab. No worries. No worries though.
>> Well, thank you so much.
>> Thank you so much. You're amazing. You look incredible. I hope you have the best night ever. Go on, queen. Careful.
Careful. Gorge. Amazing. Now we have >> Miss Kani. Oh my gosh. The best person.
Good to see you.
>> Oh my goodness.

>> Love.
>> Fit check.
>> Fit check.
>> Yeah. Consider the fit checks. Period.
>> Okay. So, I we spoke for your magazine interview and I know I asked you this, but I'm going to ask you again. What does it mean to receive the impact honor tonight?
>> It's really cool. I think um I try to imagine what that meant um in these like industry rooms and to be honored in that kind of way of what that means in this industry, not just in this like larger space world is really really cool and I have a lot of really special people that impacted me. So I'm really I'm excited to see them tonight.
>> Amazing. Okay, so your unbelievable hit Folded. Um why do you think women connect so much with that song?
>> I don't know. Sometimes we all just need somebody to come pick their clothes up.
You know what I'm saying? Like if you haven't had to fold somebody's stuff or had to have them come retrieve it from your house. I don't know if you've been through it yet, sis.
>> You don't get it. You don't get it.
>> Okay. Go ahead.
>> Sierra is presenting to you tonight. Why is that so special?
>> You know, uh, funny enough, I have a song on my album that just dropped that is like my little dedication to Sierra.
I'm not really sure if she even knows that. I can't wait to tell her. but on some like tomboy like fly cool like that was always who I got to look up to like I remember also being like like a boy stand like I wanted to be the way I knew all the choreography for real so like she's definitely in like my personal like R&B lineage >> amazing okay last kind of fun fan mail question your own Mount Rushmore your own women in music who's on it for women >> Brandy Beyonce Mary J Blige Uh, I feel like I'm forgetting somebody I really love and I'm going to be pissed about it.
>> Oh my god, I'm going to be pissed.
>> You can leave that fourth one open. Wow.
Carrie. Yes.
>> Yeah, that's my rush. For sure. For sure. That's a good one.
>> Amazing. Well, thank you so much. You look incredible. I hope you have the best night ever.
>> Hope you guys have fun.
>> Oh my gosh. Have so much fun. Queen.
>> All right, we're going to keep it going.
We have to >> come on down.

>> Oh my god. Thank you. Look at you.
>> We're so happy we have the icon with us here tonight.
>> Oh my god. I'm so excited. I'm so nervous. I'm so happy. This is a big moment.
>> It is.
>> A huge moment.
>> It is. How are you feeling about it all?
>> Nervous. Nervous. But uh it's a blessing. It's a blessing. Uh so many decades in this uh world. My journey's been long since I was seven. I stepped on uh the first TV stage and now I'm here receiving this award. I'm like, "Yeah, could you pinch me?
>> I don't need to pinch you. You're an icon. You're an icon and a legend. A living one."
>> What's the word mean to you to be an icon?
>> So many things, right? It's just like a moment in time. It's bigger than the than the world. It's such a big word.
And icon means to me I can >> I can do it. I can stand back again. I can reinvent myself again.
>> It's about that.
>> Amazing. Yeah. Well, you released a bilingual cover of Abba's Dancing Queen.
>> And how do you maintain your queen energy?
>> Oh my god. Every day you wake up and then you step and it's like the queen is here. Are you prepared?
>> Yes.
>> Yes. Every day you're a queen every day.
And you're a queen of kumbia. Can you share any kumbia basics with us? Like if I'm a learner, I'm learning.
>> It's all about like one and two.
>> It's all about the hips. It's all the hips.
>> You have it down.
>> Yes.
>> Drew and I are going to try that in private later.
>> And two steps. Come on. Do it. A >> two steps. Oh, you got it now.

>> Okay.
>> Yeah. You guys get in tight.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> Here. I'll step down cuz I'm tall.
>> Oh no.
>> Don't worry. I'm tall.
>> These dresses are gorgeous. I love >> Yeah. Y'all look incredible. Go ahead, Lindsay.
>> Look, I know we've been saying it, but we are so honored to honor you as our women of the year. It's so exciting.
Your year has just been incredible. If you had to summarize what it means to be women of the year, what would you say?
>> Oh my god.
>> Big question.
>> Honestly, one of the highest honors I think of this entire, you know, season for us, just to be recognized by like fellow women who we've looked up to and who've given us so much strength.
>> You know, the film is honestly at the end of the day, it is about sisterhood and it is about women supporting each other. So to be able to be and to receive this love is incredible.
>> That is so incredible. And y'all are the first Korean-Americans and first group to ever receive this honor. How does it feel to make history?
>> Oh my god, >> it feels unreal. I I just can't believe it cuz for us representation is so so important, you know. Um cuz you know, like I said, we've always said like growing up, we haven't seen many people in the music industry, women who look like us. So, it's just to know that there are kids out there like little Asian girls, little Korean girls that can look up to us too as well and other Asian women here in the music industry is just such a blessing and such an honor. Absolutely.
>> Amazing. Oh my gosh.
>> I mean, you've been making history all year. Oscars, Grammys, women in music.
If you could break any record or make history again in any field, what is sort of next on your goal list right now?
>> Another number one.
>> Exactly. Speak it into existence. We have Yes.
>> E got honey. Okay. So, you all just performed at Coachella with Cats Eye.
What did it mean to share that stage with them?
>> Um, it was an iconic performance. I think Well, I've never seen 90,000 people in one gathering. And I think it was an honor to have Catsai invite us and share the stage. They're also an incredible, powerful, badass girl group.
They work really hard. They show up all the time. And so, I felt like, you know, it just made sense. And it was just a beautiful meeting of girl power.
>> Amazing. Gorge. Well, thank you all so much. You all look incredible. Oh my god.
>> Thank you all. I just want to shout out the individual artistry as well. You know, we're really happy for you. Yeah, >> absolutely. And y'all were my faves. I kept telling everyone. I was like, Huntress, if they ever need a fourth, I'm here. So, you guys know, you guys let me know. I'm not Korean, but I will join.
>> Thank you guys so much. Have the best night. The IT girls of the year. Love y'all. You're the best. Oh my gosh. Of course. Anytime.
>> I'm inspired by those dresses.
>> You and me both. Oh my gosh. And now we have Tyrese and Mona Scott. Come on down.
Come on on.
>> Yes.
>> Good. How are you? How are you?
>> Awesome. I'm going to have you move up just a little bit right here. The two of you.
>> Just a little bit.
>> Close yours. But as long as y'all y'all are nice and tight. Yeah. It's a real tight squeeze right here.
>> Yes, you are.
>> Okay. So, how do y'all feel being here at Billboard Women in Music?
>> I mean, listen, for me, it's always an honor to come and celebrate other women in this industry. So, I'm always excited to see what the night has to offer.
>> Yeah, absolutely. Lindsay, >> what has been one of the highlights of music so far this year for both of you?
>> Mona, what has been the highlight for you? You're the music guy.
>> I want you to answer it first. I'll follow.
>> He's honoring women tonight.
>> I mean, there have been so many highlights. I I love of course K-pop Demon Hunters and Yeah, I'm a secret fan. I'm a secret fan.
>> You get to Did you get to meet them or >> I have said hi from afar? Okay.
>> Yes. We've been on several red carpets together.
>> Oh, look at you. Look at y'all. Okay.
So, what woman in music has personally impacted you this year and why?
>> Oh god. What woman herself? I mean, interestingly, you know, we have the opportunity to work with the incredible Suzanne Deass, who we know is a legend in this industry and then recently going to see Michael the movie and knowing her impact and even discovering that talent and bringing him to the world. Right.
So, that's been a highlight for me this year.
>> Amazing. Well, thank you guys so much.
>> I'm also excited about Tiana Taylor.
>> Very cool. Great choice. I know she's being honored tonight, but you know, other than this special night tonight, I have been uber excited and and very like inspired by uh God's God's works around her life. And I love that every stage that she gets on >> um she makes sure that she um tells the word uh tell the world that God is not a resource, but he's her source.
>> Yeah. And uh I think that's important to take God on every stage that you get to.
So tonight I'm anticipating another God moment from from my favorite Tiana Taylor.
>> And she's well on her way to an EGOT.
Period. Very exciting. And you and I have tooth gems. We do.
>> Oh my gosh. Look at us. I just noticed.
Oh my gosh. They look incredible.
>> Yeah, we do. We need a little wink. A little wink here and there.
>> Thank you both so much.
>> Twinky so I can do >> Thank you both so much for your time.
You look incredible. A thank you.
>> Have a great night. Y'all have so much fun. Of course. Oh my gosh. And now we have Le. Come on down Le. Hello. Oh my gosh. You look incredible.
>> Oh my god. You too.
>> We got our innovator here with us.
>> Yes.
>> Okay. So, >> what does that word mean to you to be an innovator?
>> I mean, I guess it means to push through and do something new and create something. Um, I definitely feel like and every musician has to be an innovator nowadays to to cut through.
So, I'm very honored to be honored as the >> especially as an innovator. Yeah, >> absolutely. Okay. So, how has life been since releasing your deluxe album, A Matter of Time, the final hour?
>> It's been very busy. I feel like I haven't had a day off, but I actually I went to I went to Disneyland for my birthday, so that was my day off.
>> Oh my gosh. How fun. Did you have a lot of fun?
>> I had so much fun, but it was it was as tiring as Coachella. Like I I played Coachella a couple of the two weekends before and that was also just like every day was like a drill.
>> You were exerting the same amount of energy.
>> Exact same amount of energy. I came back from Disneyland and I was like I feel like I went back to Coachella. It's like a little bit of a drive, a lot of walking, like a lot of sweating, like but my Coachella outfits worked for Disneyland. So I was like I had to put >> Look at you.
I I need to ask you while you hear about this Madwoman music video because what a lineup of people. Will you explain how that idea came to you and how you kind of got these celebs all together?
>> Yeah. Well, I sometimes get mixed up with other women who are like of the same kind of mix as me. So, um I will literally like get tagged in red carpet photos of them and I um think it's kind of funny and I also so I thought that it would be fun to just like put as many of us in a music video together and I reached out to a lot of people and it was like a scheduling kind of fiasco.
But soever whoever was available I was like come >> and who you had wow quite the lineup.
>> I like couldn't believe it. I kept looking over the set and being like, "Oh my god, >> this is like it's like watching like wizards really play Sweet Life on Gosh, Sweet Life on Deck."
>> It was like all of those. It was like the mashup. Yeah. But it was so special.
And I feel like growing up I really like I grew up in Iceland where like everyone has blonde hair and blue eyes and I like didn't see anyone that looked like me on screen ever. So it it fed my heart. But it's something I'm always going to do.
Like it isn't like a one time thing.
>> No, absolutely. hearing my heart really happy.
>> Yeah, I think it was very exciting for all of us to see. And now I'm like, are we going to see you on Summer Turn Pretty or Heated Rivalry in return, >> right? Call in that favor, girl. You should.
>> And if they'll have me, it'll be like a Mad Woman music video, by the way. I think they have to take the whole Mad Woman cast though to be able to do that.
>> Yeah, they got to take all You're a package deal.
>> We're a package deal.
>> Yeah, absolutely. Last kind of fun fan mail question. If you could collab with any woman in music right now that you haven't already, who would you want to collab with?
Oh my god, there's so many incredible women. I feel like I'd love to sing with Lana Del Rey. I think >> Oh my god, I got chills.
>> I just think she like really makes the most like beautiful like kind of like romantic but dark music and I feel like that's like I would love to sing with her.
>> Yeah, you you suit that really well, I think.
>> Yeah, now we need it. I can hear it.
>> Yeah, absolutely. I'm like, I'll manifest it for you. We'll do it here live. Thank you so much for your time.
You're amazing. Congratulations on your big night. Oh my gosh. Get in there, girl. They're waiting for you.
>> Oh my gosh. Who do we have next? We have >> We got Vinnie.
>> We got Vinnie here. Come on down.
>> Yeah, we'll have to spread out.
>> Yes, we can.
>> We'll spread. I'll step down. Fill in.
Here we go.
>> Up this way if you can.
>> Oh, yeah. You guys can step forward.
Come on in, queens.
>> Don't worry.
>> You want to come forward?
>> Oh, yeah. If you guys can scoot up.
Scoot up. Scoot up. There you go. There we go. All right, we have our Billboard Philippines Global Force honores.
Welcome. What does it mean to be a global force?
>> It really means a lot for us, especially for us as a Filipino group and it feels like this award is a reminder for us that um these eight women can stand on any stage and hope we hope that we help open doors for more Filipino artists.
>> Oh, amazing. Okay. So, how has life been since making history at Coachella as the first Filipino group to perform? What has been the response from your community?
>> Well, um there's been a nice reception and we're so grateful because a lot of people enjoyed and um appreciated our performance. Um us being here in the States, uh we've been very chill. We don't know how it's going to be when go we go home. So, we're so we're so excited to meet our families and friends and everyone our Habian out there.
Hello. We're so excited to see you guys back home.
>> Amazing.
>> Did you get to catch any other sets at Coachella while you were there?
>> Who did we love?
>> Oh, I love Big Bang set. They were so amazing. They were so good. I love Big Bang.
>> Amazing.
>> You love.
>> This was a great one.
>> Oh my gosh. Love. Okay, last kind of fun question. Who are y'all really excited to meet tonight, if anyone?
>> Oh my gosh.
>> Leave. Oh my gosh, she's right there.
Yeah. Look, we're interrupting.
They're big fans. Oh my gosh.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. Look at us. Oh my gosh. We're making it happen, y'all. We're in the room where it happened. Go ahead.
>> We're going to let you get onto that hug.
>> Oh yeah. Yeah. Thank you.
Congratulations on everything. You guys look incredible and so beautiful and stunning. You get in there, girls. You go celebrate women in music. Yeah.
Period. Oh my gosh. Of course, y'all.
>> Hey, >> if you only knew how much my boobs were sweating. Just kidding. It's okay. It's all right. The sun went down.
>> Come on. Yeah, the sun is finally going down.
>> Yes, it is. And we are Woo! Catching our breath. How are you feeling so far?
>> I mean, I feel like every person we talk to, I just get more and more excited to get in the room.
>> The energy in there is kind of unmatched to any other certainly industry event, but any other room, period.
>> Oh my gosh. I know. It's actually in everyone's best interest. cuz I never find out if I can sing. I would be a nightmare. I'd be all up and down this carpet.
>> Look, I think it's going to happen. You made some really important connections tonight.
>> I'm like, "Yeah, Bilbert, if you need anyone." Just kidding.
>> I mean, Hunrick said you're in the writing for a fourth member, right?
>> They did. They did tell You guys saw it on the live. It was literally on live.
You guys saw them promise me a fourth spot in case anyone gets hurt. I'm on injury reserve.
>> That's me for the movie is coming. I feel like it's necessary, you know?
>> I know. I'm like, I can't sing and I'm not Korean, but I would love to be in it. So, >> what's your karaoke song? Oh, go-to karaoke song. Honestly, one of my go-to karaoke songs is a Selena song, like Selena Quesania, and it's Suave. That's my Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Bilingual, too. Jot that down also just in case. Just in case it helps me.
>> Everyone in the room taking notes.
>> And let's see what else do we have. I'm going to ask you some questions. You ready?
>> We'll see.
>> Okay. Who have you been most excited to see tonight >> so far? Thus far.
>> Honestly, I I know it's a copout.
Everyone says like I'm excited to see everybody, but truly because it's also from my perspective working on the Women in Music magazine is so much fun. It's my favorite issue every year, but then actually seeing that we get all these women in the same room is so special >> and it's really rare. Like you don't often get this many people together at the same time.
>> Absolutely. And all of them are in such high spirits cuz it's celebrating women.
>> Y better than that.
>> Okay, >> what else you got? What else you want to hit me with? Well, what is what would you describe the vibe like on the carpet right now?
>> Um, really like grateful, I would say. I think everyone's just grateful to be here. Grateful to be celebrating women.
Uh, and rightfully so. It's the best event, dare I say.
>> That's what I'm That's what I'm saying.
Every time I come, I'm like, everyone's in such a good mood. Everyone is so excited because there's no men involved.
>> Yeah. if we had to boil it down to one point.
>> But I also love like seeing all the artists be excited to meet each other.
Like the way Heidi Heidi was freaking out over Zara is so cute and like Le and Guini are taking a photo right now.
>> You don't get to like see these things in person. I see them on my feed when I scroll sometimes.
>> We're in the room where it happened all around.
>> We're always in the room where it happened. And they're telling us that Coco Jones is actually coming right now.
She's not here yet, but she is walking up if you guys can believe it. And you guys would have no idea, but it was about 90,000 degrees about the first hour of this. If you could tell, don't tell me.
>> Don't tag me in those pics. Thanks, guys. Appreciate you.
>> Just delete those ones.
>> Oh my gosh. But here she is. Coco Jones.
Come on down. Thank you.
>> Hello. You look like walking right into a live stream.
>> I know. They're like, we're live. We're live. I'm like, BTS from the lives. Hey, >> but you're here.
>> It's so nice to see you. Uh, what does it mean to present the Honda Rising Star honor to Mariah the Scientist?
>> It's really exciting. Um, Mariah is such a really dope talent in the R&B space, and I'm always excited to put light on our genre.
>> Absolutely.
>> So, you were named one of the 100 most influential people of 2026 by Time, which is crazy. Has that settled in yet?
>> That is pretty crazy. And no, I mean, I I mean, it's such an honor. Time is so prestigious. Um, and all I can do is just hope to continue to put myself in places that I'm surprised that I even get in myself. But hey, >> yeah. Who has who has influenced you the most in your life?
>> Definitely my mom. Definitely my mom.
She's an entrepreneur. She's a great mom. She's funny. She's caring. She's the standard, >> the the one we love. Okay. We loved your single, Love a Girl. Um, what's next for you if there is anything you can tease for us? I mean, I'm working on my next project and it's going to be very love, very I love me, very I love my world and of course I love my man, but you know, it's more about me, the journey of me.
So, I'm >> period. It should be about you.
>> Thank you.
>> Your man is really lucky to have you.
>> Thank you.
>> Okay. Uh, last kind of fun question. Um, your own Mount Rushmore, your favorite women in music like of all time.
>> Fun time though. This is like a scary pick.
>> Stressful question. It's never fun. Um, okay. I'm gonna say Beyonce. I'm gonna say Whitney Houston. I'm going to say Jasmine Southern. And I'm gonna say Brandy.
>> That's great. Great killer for anyone who's like, "Okay, don't come for me because they do that to me and I'm just here."
>> Hey, it's your Mount Rushmore.
>> Okay. True. True.
>> It's your world. I'm living in it.
>> Thank you.
>> You're welcome. Well, thank you so much for You look beautiful. I hope you have the best night.
>> Thank you so much.
>> Thank you.
>> Bye, girl.
>> Right. Rushmore is hard. I >> I know it is. It does. It does kind of put people on the fence. It does. Thank you so much. Okay, so >> we got more coming. We thought we were done. Not yet.
>> Yeah, but we are not done yet. But I will say this. It has been really cool seeing so many women like love on each other so authentically. There's nothing quite like that. Like the energy in the room. Mom, it's going to move me to tears. I love it. I love watching women win.
>> It's a good room to cry in. I have to say >> it is. And now speaking of cry.
>> Hi.
>> The orchestrator herself of the best songs ever, MISS LMA.
>> HOW are you guys?
>> Good. How are you?
>> Good, thank you. Happy to be here.
>> Oh my gosh, we're so happy to have you.
>> Oh my gosh. Go ahead, Lindsay.
>> Tell us a bit about your third studio album.
>> Oh my gosh. Um, it's called Do You Still Love Me? It came out maybe like two months ago now. I don't even know where we are. Um, probably my most vulnerable project to date. Um, all love songs. I love to sing love songs. Um, >> you sure do. You You are good at it.
>> Thank you. Um, and really just like, yeah, just stepping into womanhood, I feel like, and this is the perfect place to be stepping into that. So, the best, >> how did you celebrate release night?
>> Oh, we had a party and yeah, we had some fun.
>> Okay, I got kind of a fun question for you, but how are British audiences different than American ones? And do you change sets depending on the country?
>> Um, I definitely do change sets depending on the country. Don't change it like loads. There's definitely like a baseline set. Um, but I think that some songs perform better in Europe. Some songs perform better in US. Um, I literally yesterday came back from South Africa, so I changed my set in there because some of my songs over there perform better than like if I was performing here. Um, the vibes are just different everywhere you go. And I think that's what's amazing about touring.
It's one of my favorite things to do cuz you just kind of you meet so many new people, so much new energy, so much new culture. Um, and it's inspiring. So, I can't wait to get back in the studio and and write about it.
>> Amazing.
>> Have you been back in yet? Are you giving yourself a breather?
>> I haven't. I'm I literally just started tour, so I'm giving myself a breather.
But I am very excited to get back in, I will say.
>> Oh my gosh. Are you able to work on the road at all or too much?
>> I'm me personally, I'm I don't like to work on the road cuz I like to just be comfortable and like know where I'm going and and like really be focused.
And I feel like when I'm on the road, there's so much stuff going on. I'm like, let me just concentrate on this and like Yeah. So, >> the queen of locking in. I love that.
>> Trying to >> love that. Well, thank you so much. I hope you have the best night ever. Look at you. Just got off the plane from South Africa. Look incredible. You're killing it. You're killing it, girl.
Yeah, of course. I see you. Oh my gosh.
And next we have the one, the only Miss Tate McCrae. Come on down, queen.
>> We got maker in the house.
>> Yes, we sure do. They said one question.
Let's make it good. Okay. Thank you. So do you. Okay. One question. Fan mail question. If your own Mount Rushmore for women like that you would memorialize this question now.
>> No. This is the worst question ever.
>> You had to pick four.
>> Okay. Um Rihanna.
>> Yes.
>> Um Beyonce probably >> has to be.
>> Um you know I've been on I listen to Fleetwood Mac all the time right now. So Stevie Nicks.
>> Yes.
>> Um godamn >> one last girl.
>> Who's going to get that coveted spot?
>> No. This is >> on Tate McCrae's Mount Rushmore.
>> Really stressful. I'm gonna see her tonight. I'm gonna say Victoria Monaet because she's presenting me tonight and I I just I just started going through her performances again. I'm like, I love her.
>> She's the best.
>> She's such a queen.
>> Sure is. Well, thank you so much, Queen.
You look back.
>> And you match the carpet. Look at you.
Oh my gosh, you as well. Have such a great night.
>> Everybody, we made it to the end.
>> We made it to the end.
>> We got to get ourselves in there.
>> Oh my gosh. We sure do. Going to be going to be golden, y'all. I'm going to keep singing until someone signs me. I'm going to have to get in there soon. But thank you so much for joining us on the live.
>> Thank you for hanging out, Drew. This was so much fun to do with you. Thank you.
>> Likewise. It was the same.
>> Everybody stay tuned for the show.
>> Yes.
>> All right. Catch you next time.
