The Last Supper described in John 13 was a Passover meal held on the evening of Nisan 14th, when Jesus and his disciples ate the Passover lamb before his crucifixion on Nisan 15th. The seating arrangement at the Passover table was significant: Jesus occupied the seat of honor, while Judas (who would betray him) was placed in the most honored position, and Peter was in the least honored seat. This arrangement explains how Jesus could identify the betrayer by handing him the bread (a Passover tradition) without everyone immediately knowing who was being referred to. The meal took place in a triclinium, an ancient Roman dining setup where guests reclined on their left sides, with the table in the center and servers bringing food from the middle.

Jewish Explanation of the Last Supper in John 13
Added:Hey, Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.
Shalom.
Welcome.
I am joined here with my lovely guest Steven and his beer in his glory.
How you doing?
>> Oh, I'm uh I'm awful tired. I'm I'm uh subbing myself in in for a Christian Godfly this week on that behalf.
>> Okay.
>> And he can take over the tiredness when he gets in.
>> Yes, that's always the best thing to do for people. Uh just make them suffer.
>> Okay. So, all I've been doing this week is uh Judy is exhausting.
Uh all I've been doing this week, uh I guess week the last like four days is make a presentation on Jesus being God.
That's currently 47 slides out of uh 124.
So yeah, about a third of the way through.
That's going to be this Friday. This Friday, I'm going to go through every single argument and case for Jesus being God that I know of and am aware of in the New Testament and the Old Testament.
So, it's going to be uh hundreds of Bible passages that we'll go through.
And I might just do it by myself um so I'm less tempted to go down tangents, otherwise that stream will never end. So, I plan on it being a four to five hour stream by myself.
So, uh we'll see how that goes and we'll see if uh comments can get me entirely derailed and distracted while we go through them. Um but I can share what my logos currently looks like for that.
It's just a whole bunch of nonsense. Um, so you can see all the all the tabs I have and these are all like notes from previous videos that I did. Um, yeah. And then I have all the Greek pulled up and different word studies. So I'm not going to have most of that today.
>> I have circles and then I have Wait, let me close the circle.
>> I have circles within my circles.
>> Oh boy.
>> I have all the circles. Yes.
>> The angels in Ezekiel.
Yeah. Whenever I click a circle, it pops it up. I have power to find where the worship is.
>> Yeah.
Kind of data heavy. All right. See you, brother.
I'm super curious what your data heavy video is going to be on. Um, but for those curious, my uh intestine has somewhat recovered. I have done um at least one thing that could be called poop this week.
Um and then I had fried chicken today and then it just re restarted the whole process. So um I am now on a grapes and banana and carrot diet um for the foreseeable future. So you have a St. Elijah, who invented the combustion engine?
I've never heard of that. That's super interesting. I've actually, cuz I'm an engineer, I've actually studied the auto cycle and engines and all that fun stuff. I had to make my own. I made a fivecylinder engine, which was fun.
Oh, >> you know what's funny is the word engineer, you have words usually like rocketeer or things like that where it's it kind of has this cool thing like a rocketeer is is a guy that that was that movie when when I was a kid and it sounds so cool to be a something or or what's another one like a grenadier like one who who grenades but then engineer It kind of sounds silly to be like the the that oh that's the engineer.
Like if it was a superhero, you'd be like, "Oh, that's not very exciting."
And he'd probably have like a like an a greasy cap. And but an engineer is a cool thing, but not as a superhero.
I don't know why. I don't know why I said that.
I'm I'm very tired.
Well, it's supposed to be your week to go over the John passage.
>> I know. I know. That's why earlier today I was like, man, I don't think I can do the live stream. Then I thought, oh boy, this has been like I I was coming in here to uh I made a big deal about talking about stuff and so I can't do that again.
So, I'm just gonna I'm gonna be here in in whatever state I'm in.
Yeah, >> it should at least be entertaining.
>> Last week, um me and my heavily sick self because that was day two of the process and now we're on um day 10 of my intestines not working properly.
So, um last week me and Christian Gaffly went over the uh the sader a little bit.
Not really. I just mostly like went back to the stream that we did on it and then we touched on a lot of the details of John 13 and then you said that you wanted to go back through it. So I'm definitely going to No, I got the joke after he said the prophet Elijah. Yeah.
So the combustion engine cuz he's >> combusting all the false prophets.
>> Oh.
Oh boy. I'm more tired than I thought.
This is Oh no.
>> Yeah. So, we're going to go through Oh, wait. No, it's not sharing the right one. All right. Hold on. I made a new thing on logos.
Uh, looks right.
Okay. So, we're going to go through the passage. I'm going to let you stop me whenever you want to talk about something. Otherwise, we'll just jump straight into John 14.
Um, whenever Christian Godfly gets here.
>> Okay.
>> But the last supper, Jesus clearly ate supper with the disciples after resurrection. Clearly an obvious conflict in the Bible. Fake.
>> Wait, where's my Kora rap? I got to put that. That's a That's a total Kora expost.
>> Ascending in his chariot. Oh.
Oh, in a Chariot of Flames. Oh my gosh.
>> I entirely missed I entirely missed that one.
>> Well, Chris, you're malnourished, so that obviously would affect your uh We've got excuses. We can make all the excuses we need.
>> Well done, Ash.
>> You seem like you you've been digesting well and possibly sleeping.
The caliber of your jokes is is too good for us right now.
He's too advanced for us. Okay.
So, last week um barely eating new stuff. I don't want to hear it. I don't I don't want to hear.
>> Also though, I'm like I'm old now. So that that counts for me extra and and I hate to to discover that.
But I'm too old to be my young self. And uh I'm I'm sadly learning that the hard way very quickly.
>> You mean you have to treat yourself like a human and you have to sleep and eat?
>> Yes. And I'm have no life experience of doing that. And so I'm like it's the brain of a toddler in in the body of a of an 80-year-old man.
you double your age.
>> They don't they don't get along. I just saw somebody uh the other day who said that they had their grandson over, their six-year-old grandson over for 4 hours and and this person, I think, is in their 60s or 70s, and they're like, "I think I I feel like I need to sleep for a week."
And I thought, "Well, I have a six-year-old." They're not. Well, just about six. and it's like, "Oh, yeah, but I'm not like 70." And so, if I apply that to like not sleeping and and uh not eating well and all sorts of other things, then I'm probably a lot older than uh than my uh carbon dating would suggest.
>> So, this is a little bit of a tangent. I know we haven't even started yet, but a little bit of a tangent. Um, so for my day job I do medical research and one of the things that the Mayo Clinic found out um, back in I was like 2016 2018 um, AIA and her team they figured it out right before I started working in cardiology. So turns out you can actually predict the age and sex of people based on solely their ECG data.
So, I can take the signal data of the electrical activity of your heart and predict a bunch of things about you. Um, my whole job is actually creating prediction models and um, methods to study ECG because ECG is way cheaper and faster than an echo. Um, we're trying to get people to not have to do echoes as much and get similar um, levels of care.
So, ECG is the cheap alternative that almost everyone has. There's millions, hundreds of millions of them all over the planet. Um, we have within just our data set two million ECGs for me to play with and work with. So, I make models to do this and they they made a model to predict sex and age. And they found out that if you do a deep regression, so if you're trying to like plot data to an outcome, if I try to predict your age and it's accurate, you're a healthy individual.
If I try to predict your age and it is significantly younger than you, you're an extremely healthy individual. So, the chronological age versus the prediction age. If your chronological age is at least seven years um younger than the predicted age, so if it thinks you're way older than you really are, you are in deep unhealthy state. Um, there were some people that were predicted like 20 years older than they actually were and they had like 13 core mobidities and it's like >> Chris, would you be able to uh off of a an an ECG reading off my Apple Watch, could you uh do your magic trick and tell me how despicable I am?
>> So ECG on Apple Watch, not really because that's a PPG. That's not actually a 12 lead. um proper ECG.
>> I got some approximation doctor's visits.
>> Yeah. So, I mean if if you do have ECG data that you can access or have like, hey, can you like forward it to them like get me some XMLs or the PDFs of it like the 10-second printout?
>> I can absolutely predict your age um on that and give you because I've made the same model. Um, so I >> and then maybe shock me into a emergency overhauling my lifestyle.
>> Like, >> yeah, >> you're already older than the oldest human that ever lived. You should probably take better care of yourself.
>> Wow. Sleeping and eating all the things Jesus did. He's not God.
>> Yeah, obviously.
>> Wait, God eats in the Old Testament.
What is my um yeah, so that's a little bit of my day job. It's a little bit what I do. I try to help people be healthier and we create uh well, one of the things I'm working on right now is a sleep apnea prediction based solely on ECG. So, um, if you wear a smartwatch, you can actually figure out if you have sleep apnea very, very easily because it measures your, uh, oxygen levels. And whenever you have an apneic episode, you lose oxygen for a couple minutes. So, you can tell, oh, that's that's epoxia.
Um, so >> mine shows me that, but I always assumed it's cuz I sleep on my left side and I think maybe the circulation is cut off.
That was my idea for why that happens, but uh it didn't matter.
>> I mean, sleep apnnea would explain a lot of my uh a lot of my issues.
So, maybe I need to look into >> sleep apnea um shortens your lifespan by like 20 to 40 years.
So, yeah, because it's constantly damaging your heart. Every time you have an epoxy episode, you have cell death. And any cell death that happens in your heart can't be repaired. It's also why you can't get heart cancer.
>> Yeah. It just replaces it with scar tissue. And the more scar tissue you have built up, the more electrical resistance you have within your heart.
So then the left bundle branch and the right bundle branch aren't synced, which creates its own issues, which then creates a low ejection fraction. So the amount of blood pumped per beat. And then through that uh reduction you typically have some form of uh cardiac failure, some form of heart attack. So having sleep apnea leads to early heart attack death >> and sometimes >> I have to like do a sleep study because I don't have time.
>> I mean you you can technically do it from a smartwatch now. Um but a sleep study would be the only like diagnostic test they could do cuz then they would have an all night ECG that they would look at. Um cuz you can also tell um OSA you go through bradic cardia to tachioardia. So you go from um having a normal heartbeat to have a really slow heartbeat and then to have a really really fast heartbeat whenever your body realizes oh I'm dying and it tries to like kick in some adrenaline. So you can actually see this like uh like on the graph and then also with the oxygen >> I didn't sleep last night cuz I'd fall asleep for 10 minutes and I'd wake up and I was I think was feeling I thought I was having panic attacks >> and it was like happened 10 times. But it also kind of sounds like what you're talking about with sleep.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh >> yeah. Yeah, but that'd be it.
>> And that is an entirely >> it's an entirely fixable disease overnight. You just have to wear a CPAT machine and then your life is entirely the same as someone who doesn't have it.
>> That's >> because I guess your PSA your PSA for everyone watching. First off, see if you have sleep at night because the vast majority of people who have it are unaware of that. Um, and especially if you have more like Middle Eastern Asian heritage. um they're more prone to have it because they have a different cranial structure which produces OSA quite easily.
And then if you have it, actually use your CPAT machine because it will if Jesus doesn't come back soon, it will actually extend your lifespan by decades. Uh because otherwise you're slowly killing your heart every time you sleep.
>> So, >> well, it looks like I've got some thinking to do.
>> That's my professional medical advice for people.
Um, yeah, I'm confident in saying that on the internet and not being able to be sued for that because it's that's a bit of a no-brainer. Anyway, there you go.
The medical advice from Chris section of the week really of the year except that often.
>> I don't think we do anyway >> with like a little theme song.
Uh, okay. So, you want me to read it and then you stop me wherever you have commentary? I don't know if I will redo my commentary on John 13 this week.
>> I think um there was just a couple things I wanted to touch on. I didn't know if you guys were going to go into uh the debate about some people saying that uh John reads as though it happened the day before Passover actually and >> we have not talked about yet.
Okay, I have I have notes on how to >> to prove that that's not the case, but uh I I don't know how widespread of an opinion that is. So, I don't know if it was worth >> bringing up unless someone uh thought that thought that and then we could talk about it. The main thing I wanted to bring up >> go over that >> uh was the seating arrangement.
And I don't know if people I even made this little handy uh illustration But the uh Passover table was something called a well and this is a word I've only ever read. So it's either a triclinium or what I would think would be a tricklineium and it's a an ancient Greek and Roman kind of a setup and the Jesus would would have been at the seat of honor and he had John the disciple whom he loved.
So, so at Passover, Jews would recline on their left on their left side and it's even part of like the four questions they ask. Why did why do we recline this night?
And so they're not they would have been >> right. And so this would be Jesus. He'd be facing this way. Everyone would be facing.
>> And so that's why when it gets to the part where Uh Jesus is mentioning that the person who will betray him is he will give the thing to. Not all of the disciples heard that, but Peter would have and and funny enough, Peter would have been in the least honored seat. So it's almost like and Judas uh I don't think I said this yet, but Judas was in the seat of honor.
So Jesus selected Judas to sit in the seat of honor at the table and he had Peter at the least honorable seat.
Uh I I would say that because Jesus like last act of divine love extended to Judas and with Peter being here it's like being taught humility.
And then when uh Jesus is telling John that that the person who he he hands the bread to will be the person who betrays him pe it says Peter motion to to him saying well who who is it?
So it would be because it's it's because of that seating arrangement all of this can make sense without cuz then you you know they're all like is it me? Is it me? Is it me where it because that's weird if he would to say that and then do it everyone would know who he was talking about. Um, so that was one of the things. I don't know if a lot of people are familiar with this this seating range because, you know, even in the famous picture of the the last supper, we have this big long >> the middle >> and he's in the center and and so that this is how they would have had the the dinner and it's actually a pretty cool like sudden Middle Eastern restaurants you go to today, they'll have a room like this. And the reason the middle is hollowed out is because this is where the servers come in or the the servants come to put the food and drink on the table for everybody.
And so it's a pretty it's a pretty handy way to have a nice dinner.
But so that was my uh it was a lot more uh nicely explained when my brain was functioning. So apologies for that. But anyone who wants to look up more on this, just look up that term and look up that term in regards to the Last Supper and and there's a lot of interesting things you could glean from that.
>> Yeah. So, for comparison, I know Jack just made a joke about your uh notebook, but >> so this is kind of the design >> with them having the food in the middle and them all reclining on their Oh, this is like a Roman get up and it's not going to be the same type of uh situation, but you would be basically laying down while eating because sitting is a modern invention.
Sitting is not something people would do um because it's not great for your spine. So in order to eat, you would eat while standing or you would eat while laying or like off to the side. You wouldn't like the way that we do it now is not actually a way people would do things generally speaking in cross history. So, this is a another example of what you were bringing up, but in the three dimensions, um, we did not go over that at all last week.
>> Okay.
>> I did go over why they were leaning to the left, but I didn't go through the actual seed arrangement and all that.
You just make like a diarama.
We need a Jewish explanation of Daniel 9 next. That was pretty simple.
Is Jesus is coming and Jesus ending sacrifice.
But that'll be part of the debate.
>> You know, Chris, you that's funny because you >> when we talked about that, you um you had a different reading of that than I've ever heard. And then so then I thought, well, man, have I been reading it wrong this whole time?
And I I'm interested in why you read it the way you do when it when it talks about the person that puts the end to the sacrifice cuz I've always taken that and I think a lot of people have always taken that as being the the bad guy in in the story. Yeah.
So I didn't know is is that a pretty is that a Chris line of thought or is did you is that a is that a fairly mainstream thought of that as well or because I'd never heard that view before.
>> So I don't know how mainstream it is. Um I'm pretty sure I was taught it as well though. It wasn't just me reading the text. Well, >> in my opinion, if you just read the text plainly, like we have who the prince, who the ruler is identified as.
>> So, if we start in um 25. So, you are to know and have insight that from the going out of the word to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Messiah, the prince, it will be 70 weeks and 72 weeks. It will be restored and rebuilt with applause and mo even in uh times of distress. Then after 62 weeks, the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing. And the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary and its end will come with a flood even to the end where there will be war. Desolations are decreed and he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week but in the middle of the week he will make sacrifice and grain offering cease. And on the wing of abominations will come.
This I've never read in this translation before. And on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate. Even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed is poured out on the one who makes desolate.
>> So very see the the messiah gets cut off and then the people of the prince who is to come would be the guy after that happens which would be what Traian or uh >> who was that?
Again, I don't >> know. Traian was later. It was uh >> Oh my gosh.
>> 78.
>> Titus.
>> Titus.
>> Oh, it was it wasn't Titus.
>> Oh, no. It was Titus. Yeah. Titus was during the the war.
>> Okay. Yeah. And so at that point everything that's the person who is is after the Messiah is cut off. And then so it does still predict the destruction of the second temple but not assigning the responsibility of it to the Messiah but to the bad guy >> right well the people of the prince are the one who's going to destroy it.
>> Yeah. Like that the Roman army.
>> The Roman army because the Romans will become Christians. So the who is to come will destroy the city in the sanctuary.
The Romans will destroy it. Then the Romans will convert to Christianity and its end will come with a flood. Even to the end there will be war. Desolations decreed and he will make a co he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week. Well, who's the the he here?
>> It can't be the Antichrist. The Antichrist hasn't been >> announced yet. He hasn't been introduced yet.
>> The only person talked about so far is the Messiah, the prince.
Even the people. Okay. So, you're taking the antichrist as like a a singular figure rather than one who acts here.
>> Well, even if the antichrist is not a singular figure, there's no mention at all of anti-Christian people until the end of 27 after it says he will make a firm covenant with them.
So we don't have antichristian people till here after the abomination.
>> But is that not still talking about those people though >> or are you saying those are that's a new group of people?
>> I'm saying that on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate. The one who makes desolate is anti-Christian figure. Whether that's the antichrist for the end times or whether it is Titus or whoever they're going to fully destroy it. But that's on the it's after the abominations after the desecration of the temple.
>> Okay. So you take this as a linear explanation of things, not as a summary of of what goes on, >> right? And also this is literally what happened with Jesus, like literally what happened with Jesus. So to take it not as literally what's happening with Jesus is weird to me. So like or if we read and Jesus will make a firm covenant with the many for one week. Well, week is always years. It's seven years. And we see the weeks here are years, specifically groups of seven years. So, and Jesus will make a firm covenant with the many who the the Jews and Gentiles for seven years. But in the middle of the seven years, he will make sacrifice and grain offering cease.
Well, what happened in the middle of the seven years of Jesus's ministry? He was crucified.
And at that time, according to the rabbis, the Yam Kapore sacrifice was null and void from 30 AD to 70 AD.
>> Right? But they still did all the other sacrifices, >> right? But it wasn't acceptable. So even if they were doing them, it would be my position that they didn't have an effect. It was just bloodshed for bloodshed >> even when the apostles were doing them.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay.
Okay, now I bet I I see better what you're saying because otherwise this doesn't make any sense. Why would it specify in the middle of the week um when it's about the coming of the Messiah and specifically the covenants? What covenant is this? If it's not the messianic covenant, if it's not the new covenant, what covenant could this possibly be? Well, it could be. I mean, it doesn't necessarily or I would I mean, maybe I should ask rather than say, does it necessarily need to be a divine covenant rather than maybe a political agreement or because we're still talking about the time after the Messiah is cut off.
I don't remember what in the Hebrew >> if I remember correctly.
That's literally the same type of covenant.
>> Oh, yeah. The word is the same. But I'm just saying like I mean uh like uh Jacob and Leavonne made a covenant with each other.
>> Uh no, obviously they swore. It was they swore uh but wasn't necessarily a covenant like a divinely covenant in that way.
>> Right.
I would still suggest that this would be the covenant that this is a prophecy of the new covenant to come.
>> Um especially because this is >> of the Messiah specifically coming before the destruction of the temple >> um before the ceasing of sacrifice.
So no matter how you interpret this, it can't be like the anti- Christ because that is obviously, you know, thousand plus years later. Um, yeah. So it had to be something that happened before 70 AD or at the time of 70 AD. But there's no like what's the one week with 70 AD?
What could that possibly be referring to? And it's not even one week. It's three and a half years. So what is this 3 and 1/2 year stretch before 70 AD that's significant? that marks the end of sacrifice and grain offerings that is tied to a covenant.
The only thing I can think of is Jesus.
Unless you can think of something else.
I I can't >> I just I can see what you're saying now.
At first I didn't understand. Now I see what you're saying. I just don't know because I think from my perspective there what it sounds like from from what I'm hearing from you is there's a lot of uh very easily linkable words that I don't know necessarily link in the way that you're linking them is what I would say. I to me this seems more like uh it it definitely I'm still with you on that it points out Messiah coming before the destruction of the temple >> and being cut off. Uh so there we're all 100%.
>> And I think where we differ is who then is responsible or or the person that is uh causing the the the uh what's the word? Subsequent events.
>> Yeah.
>> Which >> because to me this reads like this the Messiah's cut off and now here comes this terrible figure who then comes in and and does all this terrible stuff.
>> Yeah. Again I just I think you would have to establish what the who is establishing this covenant as a breeds.
>> Um >> if it's not literally the new covenants >> then I would have to find something >> how how it goes that cuz what we get is the Messiah is cut off and then we hear about the people of the prince who is to come.
>> Mhm.
>> That and and and then all I would say the he's well that okay so that's where we differ. You would say that that's referring to Jesus and and and his followers. Is that what is that correct?
>> No, I'm saying the Romans.
>> Oh, okay.
>> So, the people of the prince who is to come is the Romans. They are not yet a part of the fold. They will they will join Christianity.
>> But you would say is referring to to >> Jesus.
>> This isn't a new because >> it's the same prince. Yeah.
>> Okay. So, you're saying it's not like a an antithetical prince or that's not the word, >> right? No, I wouldn't say the antichristian prince.
>> Yeah. Yeah. So, you would say that's that when it says prince, it's referring to the the prince Messiah.
>> Yes. And then Messiah being cut off. The Messiah being cut off is literally what established the new covenant.
>> Okay.
So, >> because I take that that prince to be the like uh we heard about Messiah Prince and then he's cut off and now here comes this other prince that's a bad guy and he's going to do such and such.
>> Yeah. No. So, I would read this as this is the this clause happens and this happens during this event and then this happens after and then that happens after. So, I wouldn't read it as a b c d. I would read it as he's going back to what's going to happen when the Messiah is cut off, >> which is what the the covenant is because this from all the readings have done this, it seems like it's a messianic covenant being given >> and it does match the ministry of Jesus with >> it being definitely the three and a half years except for what would then what would it mean though for him uh if the three and a half years wasn't mentioned, what would be the one weak covenant?
What would that signify?
Because wouldn't that wouldn't that have to then represent that Jesus intended on being here for twice as long, but then something >> right and then >> we do have in the middle of the week so we don't have to speculate.
>> Oh, right. Right. But I'm saying it specifies though instead of just saying like for half a week it says that the the week will be cut you there there is a week but then it will be cut.
>> So what would that from your view view what would that week what would that week be?
>> I mean you could say that it is uh relating to the trials and tribulations of the end times as well like it's a dual fulfillment prophecy.
uh because we have those those years those three and a half years of peace and then three and a half years of um suffering under the antichrist rule.
So you could make it as part of a fully end time stuff. Um but then why what covenant is given during that time?
Well, I'm wondering, I'm I'm sadly um uh ignorant on on the uh political or the historical side of things, but did did Titus or anybody before the the final sacking of Jerusalem and the temple, did they was there any kind of political agreement that could have been made that would fit in with that? I don't know. I I >> uh Okay.
No, I mean the only way I've ever read um that is specifically of Jesus. So it was kind of, you know, mind-blowing to me whenever you brought up and you're like, >> "Wait, that's not about Jesus." I was like, >> "Yeah." Yeah. And that was the same thing I had with you. So I was like, "Oh, that's interesting. I've never read it that way before."
>> Yeah. I've only ever read it that way.
>> Okay. So >> yeah, and again like I I would say this is very this is much in line with the Jono prophecy of the three and a half days.
Uh and then you know right after that you have 40 days and Nineveh will be overthrown.
>> Here you have the you know three and a half years and then >> you know if you do the math it ends up being 40 but it's not you know explicitly like within 40 years after the >> J. Yeah. And I definitely see the link between the three and a half there with Jesus's ministry. I just think it would it's awkward to have though the covenant established for a week and that would be where I would say >> that doesn't throw into symbolism side like Jesus is God he is the creator he you know created us in a week so in the new week he is you know creating the new covenant the new life with us but I mean, it does specifically, >> you know, mentions it.
>> Well, there you go. Uh, Chesery, there was a real quick real quick rundown of certain things.
As for the other like the weeks and everything else, um you can do the math in like three different ways and end up within like uh 20 years of Jesus's birth. So at least within five years, if you're being more liberal, but if you're being even ultra-conservative, you're still within 20 years of Jesus's birth.
>> So then you're still predicting the coming of Christ. Um, >> yeah, definitely we're both we're both in 100% agreement on that part. I think that part's fairly obvious with anyway go back into that >> in the future we go over >> the sacrifices because again that's one of the the proof texts I would point to that the new covenant doesn't have sacrifice >> but >> anyway so John Uh now before the feast of the Passover, Jesus knowing that his hour had come that he would depart out of this world to the father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. And during supper, uh the devil had already put into the heart of Judas Excret the son of Simon to betray him. Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands and that he had come forth from God was going back to God, got up from supper and laid aside his garments and taking a towel, he tied it around himself. Then he poured water into the wash basin and began to wash the disciples feet and to wipe them with a towel which he had tied around himself.
Um, I went over all of this.
>> I saw some Okay, that's what I was about to ask. I've I saw I I I saw some of the stream that that later that night and uh so I didn't get to all of what you guys went over. I wanted to ask you, did you talk about how this is the slave's job?
>> Yeah.
>> To do the the filming.
>> I went over >> I brought it up in the tall mood.
>> Oh, nice. Okay.
>> Yeah. Um, so we went over a little bit of the rabbitic side of things as far as why Jesus did specific things, which we've done a number of times in the John series because I think it is important to show the historical reliability of John and that he's not just making things up, but he has all these specific details in order to show um what Jesus is doing. Like the people living in the time would have immediately recognized, oh yeah, of course.
>> Right. Um, and then we miss it because we don't have the context. So, I'm adding some more of the context like him spitting into mud and pushing in someone's eye. Like why that would have been such a big deal to the Pharisees.
>> Uhhuh.
>> So, if you've missed two reasons because of it >> being a messianic uh proof and also according to them breaking the Sabbath.
>> So, it was like a conundrum for them.
>> Yeah. So, if you want to go back and watch those streams, you can. Um, but yeah, all of this is pretty cool. And it also gets into um Jesus's message with sanctification and holiness and um what it means to actually be clean and the ritual purity of the Jewish expectations versus the the ritual purity of what God wants in our hearts, our hearts to be clean. Went over all that last week. Um even cried a little bit while doing it.
So then he poured out water into a wash basin and began to wash the disciples feet and to wipe them with a towel which he had tied around himself. So he came to Simon Peter. He said to him, 'Lord, are you going to wash my feet? He's offended by this. Jesus answered and said to him, "What am I what I'm doing?
You do not realize now, but you will understand afterwards as comes up a lot in the gospels." Peter said to him, "You will never wash my feet ever." Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no part with me."
So Simon, the ever zealot, responds and said to him,"Lord, not only my feet, but also my hands and my head." And Jesus said to him, "He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean, and you are clean, but not all of you." Um to quickly recap, I pointed out that this uh if you are cleansed by Jesus, you are clean, you are saved, you are like sanctified, you're going through the process, but we're still walking in this world and we're still picking up the muck and disgustingness of this world. Um especially back then, people would just have like their animals poop out in the streets and they would themselves have their own poop out in the streets and they would poop in a bucket then pour it out. Um so everywhere you walked was extremely dirty. It's not just dirt, it's blood, it's vomit, it's um poop, pee, uh animal poop and pee and blood um and dirt and mud. So it's when they say muck, that's what you're thinking of. You're thinking of basically If you somehow turned toilet water into mud, that's essentially what the people were walking around in. Which is also why a slave would be the one to cleanse your feet because your feet had poop all over it. So Jesus is cleaning his feet and he's saying, "Hey, if you've bathed, if you have been sanctified, if you've been baptized into me, you are clean, but you're still in this world.
Therefore, you need to be cle you need to clean your feet regularly. need to get the poop off of you that you're walking around in. You need to not be tainted by the world.
>> So, >> also interestingly, um I think what Peter may be saying there when he says, "My hands in my head." Also, I'm wondering if he uh was thinking of the anointing of the ironic priests when they would put the blood on the big toe and the thumb and the ear.
And I wonder if Peter was thinking, oh, is this actually is is this some sort of uh anointing for a a priesthood that that Jesus is doing >> because he mentions the hands and the head as well.
>> Yeah, I took that as woodoo um because the rabbis would do that. So they would wash their heads and their hand and their feet >> um and then do the full submersion in the mikvah.
>> So you do have some form of Oh, well, you know, obviously it's Passover, too.
you would the first step is to wash your hands virtually. So you would wash your hands but then you also clean your head off. So if um cleaning your feet is good, Peter might think, "Oh well um traditionally we also clean our hands and our head whenever we are going to do something or whenever we are trying to get ritually pure according to the phariseaic standard that's what we would clean." So he said, "Oh no, I want you to clean me fully. I want you to make me pure. I want you to make me fully clean.
And Jesus responds with, "You are already clean. I just want you to clean off your feet whenever you come into me.
So whenever you go before God, make sure you're not taking the world with you."
Um, I have not thought about the high priest. I think that's interesting.
Anyway, I'll ponder that later.
Um for he knew the one who was so he said all of you uh some of you are unclean for he knew the one who was betraying him. For this reason he said not all of you are clean. So when he had washed their feet and taken his garments and reclined at the table again he said to them do you know that what I've done to you. You call me teacher and lord and you are right for so I am. If I then the lord and the teacher washed your feet you also ought to wash one another's feet.
If this kios means Yahweh or not, that's up for debate, but it's definitely um a high title. For I give you an example that you're also should do as I did to you. Truly, truly I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him. If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them.
I do not speak about all of you. I know the ones I have chosen, but that the scripture may be fulfilled. He who eats my bread has lifted up his heel against me. This is from the Psalms as we went over last week. It's Psalm I believe 41 um with the my close friend even who I've trusted has betrayed me.
>> So from now on I am telling you before it occurs so that when it does occur you may believe that I am he.
>> We went over this last week with the Greek. Um, we also went over last week whenever he says truly truly it's a it's amen.
>> It's a Hebraism within the text which is interesting.
>> Um, but telling something before it happens is a divine prerogative. It's something Yahweh does all the time. So then uh we have the ego and me here which is going to be in Oh, do I have John 13:19 in my slide deck? Hold up.
Uh Well, I think particularly here, Chris, I mean, all the other ones we went over that are equally is is awesome, but this one even, >> who is the he?
This he is a is a significant figure in this one that like explicitly.
>> You know what I mean? It's not even doesn't even it's not a vague reference.
He's telling you, look, I'm telling you something before it happens so that you'll know that ani who ago am I'm the one who what tells you things before they happen. So who would that be?
>> Exactly. And it's also a reference to Isaiah. I my streams never go mad. I don't know what happened.
>> I am the most straightforward person.
Anyway, so you are my witnesses, declares this Isaiah 43:10. I know this text is kind of hard to read on YouTube.
You are my witnesses, declares Yahweh, and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me, there was no God formed, and there will be none after me. I, even I, am Yahweh, and there is no savior besides me. It is I who have declared and saved and caused it to be heard. Now, whenever we look at the Hebrew, there's a couple interesting things happening. Um, let me turn off the targets.
>> Well, the tarum is interesting in and of itself because it calls him Messiah.
Um, but there is no savior. It's the same root.
>> Yeah. Moshiach.
>> Moshiach.
Um, this translated >> it. It's one it's one who saves. Whereas whereas uh Yeshua would be se salvation.
>> Moshiach is from the same root the yin and it's so it's it's it is the same word uh in or how would you say that >> it's the same root.
>> Yeah.
So so which which in Hebrew it means that like when when a word shares a root it's because it's well that's why it's called a root. other words come off of it that that are related to the root.
>> Right?
So we have if people the astute view is um you are my witnesses declares Yahweh and my servant having chosen so that you may know and believe and understand me literally. Uh oh no. Oh wait you can't see this.
Okay.
um eagle and me. This exact phrasiology comes up in John, but we have this specific word here. Um why is that not highlighting? There it is. So know believe and understand. This is going to come up on Friday whenever I go through this passage that I am he. Uh it's the anihoo here in the Hebrew and this is the primary version of what's happening within um Isaiah. Isaiah actually uses the ego and me a ton >> like >> so much. Um I think even this uh I even I Yahweh like this. Yeah. Oh, it's ego.
They don't always translate it my favorite way in the septuagent. Um but they do have this exact thing of I am telling you beforehand. So declares God or you know Yahweh God and declares he he sends he this is the chosen one so that you know >> so that you believe.
>> Mhm.
>> Yeah. Uh this is nos this is the root for nosus. So this is uh not here and then for you to believe and then for you to understand I am he. Whenever we go back to John 13, what is Jesus actually saying in this passage? Huh? Well, he says that he's declaring it. He is telling them before it happens uh in order for us to believe and it's the exact same word that I am he believe and essentially to like have it happen. So whenever this happens you will believe that I am he that I am God.
>> Pretty awesome. Jesus in John quoting Isaiah from Yahweh saying that he is God. And this isn't the only time it happens. This also happens in John 8. He quotes the same passage and he uses the trifold repetition of those words to know, to understand, and to believe.
>> So Jesus applies that of himself with the ego um in a way that doesn't really make any sense unless it's a divine claim. But again, I'm gonna go over >> all of that on Friday. Friday is gonna be a very >> a very heavy day on um Jesus being God.
So, I'm going to go through the Old Testament and the New Testament, four different divisions, and it could be four different streams, but I'm going to try to make it one stream. So, we'll see how that goes.
But, uh truly, truly I say to you, he receives anyone I send receives me, and he receives me sends receives him who sent me.
When Jesus had said these things, he became troubled in spirit and bore witness and said, "Truly, truly, I say to you that one of you will betray me."
The disciples began looking at one another, perplexed about whom he spoke.
There was reclining on Jesus's bosom one of his disciples whom Jesus loved. As I went over last week, this is not homoerotic. It's just related to that.
As Stephen is pointing out right now, it just >> hold up while you read this part so you can see again how John's here and Peter's here and they'll they'll have a direct line of sight to each other by how they're laying >> and that's why it says Peter motioned to So I'll hold this up while you read it, Chris, and so people can kind of uh imagine.
>> So he was reclining on Jesus's bosom because they all leaned to the left. So it's not like he's they're not cuddling.
It's not what happened. So Simon Peter gestured to him to inquire who is the one of whom he is speaking.
>> He leaning back thus on Jesus's bosom said to him, so now he's like leaning closer to Jesus. Said to him, Lord, who is it? Jesus answered, he is the one for whom I shall dip the pieces of bread and give it to him.
>> Um, now this practice itself is part of the Passover, >> right? And Jesus would have passed to the next person to him, the guest of honor, which again I think is uh Chris, you mentioned crying in the last dream.
We've got Jesus seating Judas as the guest of honor at the table and and also handing him uh if anybody's done a Passover seder or knows about him or check checked out Chris's stream or videos on it, uh there's certain foods you eat that symbolize certain things.
And uh so Jesus would have handed him Judas uh the the the food even knowing already what was going to happen and >> and and also seating him as the guest of honor at the table. Pretty pretty cool stuff. God is God is too nice to us.
>> Thank God.
>> Yeah.
Jesus offered the bread of the new covenant to Judas with him at the table and Judas still went and gave him over to the Pharisees to be killed.
>> Mhm.
But just the beautiful symbolism of Jesus offering even his enemies, even those who will betray him, um his friends who will betray him, who he's been with for years, even still offering him redemption and forgiveness and the new covenant, knowing that Judas will reject it.
It's just crazy. Also, thank you, Randy, for the gifted membership.
Uh, congrats Tracy for receiving it.
But so when he had dipped the piece of bread, he took and gave it to Judas the son of Simon Exceriot.
And after the piece of bread, Satan then entered into him. Therefore, Jesus said to him, "What you do, do quickly." Now, no one of those reclining at the table knew for what purpose he had said this to him. For some were thinking because Jesus had the money box that Jesus was saying to him buy the things we need of for the feast or else that he should give him something to the poor.
So after receiving the piece of bread, he went out immediately and it was night. And this phrase we went over a good bit last week. Um it's super super interesting. Um >> Oh, did you reference when the the part of when it's uh because night is coming when no man can work. Is that what you tal would have talked about?
>> Yes. And all the other places where it happens because it actually happens like eight times in the Gospel of John.
>> Yeah.
>> Um just constantly comes up. Um this is John talking about himself.
Also, John Chuck Mistler made the point that people who were beloved of God like Daniel and John tended to get apocalyptic prophetic visions from him.
It's an interesting thing.
Um, hello brother.
But 250,000 for the GoFundMe for IP. It's awesome.
>> Wow. We That's a That's a really cool thing to watch that I That I understand from a non-Christian perspective, uh, how infuriating that must be.
But it's also so cool to see how many times such and such an issue has come up and then the community just chips in and we we make things work for for our our community. And it's so it's so sad to see how enraged that seems to make a lot of the Muslims who who are still also though defending Lily Jay.
I mean it's >> drifting. Yeah.
>> Yeah. I I love I love seeing how quickly like, "Hey, can I a need has arisen? I need $10,000." And then it's like, "Well, here's 100,000." Yeah. It's It's so wonderful to see. And it's such a a a nice thing to see the body of Christ doing for for the body of Christ. I I love that. I love to see that. And uh for the enemies of of of Christ, you don't understand when you when you create a scenario for this to happen, it's it's going to happen big and you're not going to like it. So you maybe like lay back. This this is this kind of stuff doesn't work out for you guys.
Dunking on them, making fun of the devil all the time. also parallels God saying that Abraham being his friend meant that he would tell Abraham what he was going to do or the inner group of the disciples in Matthew 24 discourse being his friends.
Yeah, also have that with um Moses.
Why are you saying that like that? Yes, you've been lurking. I mean, I know he said that I've been lurking, but like why are you just accusing him of any? Uh, so the night thing. Yeah, we went over this last week, but all over the place, Jesus is like, "It's not yet night. It's not yet night. It's not yet night." And now John says, "And it was night." And I think >> I didn't actually double check it and I said this last week as well, but I think this is the first time um it's explicitly said that it's nighttime by John. It's 13 chapters in >> and it's like and now it is night. Now it is the hour when Jesus is to be >> which is also funny because this would have been uh Passover the Passover seder begins at night. So, it's both, you know, it's it's a very simple statement of saying, "Oh, and it's night." But also, it's such a uh it's such a kind of an obvious thing, I'd think, that it has to also have that that secondary meaning.
>> Yeah, it's pretty cool. Therefore, he had when he had gone out, Jesus said, "Now is the son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him. If God is glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself. Will glorify him immediately.
Little children, I am with you a little while longer. You will seek me. And as I said to the Jews, I also say to you, where I'm going, you cannot come. A new commandment I give you, that you love one another. Even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. So self-sacrificial love is his commandment. That is the law of Christ.
By this we all will know that you are my disciples. If you have love for one another, uh, Christian Gaffly pointed out last week that, man, if only the body of Christ actually did this, how much different the world would be.
>> Simon Peter said to him, Lord, where are you going? Jesus answered, where I go, you cannot follow me now, >> but you will follow later. Peter said to him, Lord, why can I not follow you right now? I will lay down my life for you. Jesus answered, Will you lay down your life for me? Truly, truly I say to you, a rooster will not crow until you deny me three times.
>> Brutal.
>> Can you imagine poor Peter when he heard that?
>> Cuz you know he's serious when he says, "I'll lay down my life for you."
>> And then to be told, "No, well, no, not not even close." I mean, and poor I always feel bad for Peter because he seems like such like the the regular guy, you know? He's like that one buddy that's that you just really love and is always there for you and will do anything for you and he gets shocked like when when when when Jesus tells him, "Get behind me, Satan." And it's another one of those moments where it's like, "Poor Peter." Like it it's good for him to hear, but it just if you put yourself in Peter's sandals and you're and you you imagine yourself like, "No, no, Jesus." I mean, how many times have we done that as Christians? were like, "Oh, I would never I would never end up like this or or I would never get caught in that situation." And then all of a sudden, you're like, "Oh, wow."
>> So, it's it's uh >> it's such a it's such a neat uh illustration of kind of like the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
>> Yeah. I don't remember where I saw it from, but this thing has lived rentree in my head for months now. Um, but it is the it was a sermon and I think it was a pastor. It was either a pastor or a Bible teacher online, but they were talking about how, you know, we always like to make fun of Judas because he betrayed Jesus for only 30 pieces of silver, which in today's money is like barely a month's rent. Um, it's really not that much money. It's like a couple thousand. And they're like, "Man, you could have gone at least like some gold or something for him. Like, that's so much more worthwhile." And we're making fun of him for it. And it's like, Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. I betray Jesus all the time for free.
Who am what am who who who am I to make fun of Peter or Judas or anyone? Um yeah that's basically lived in my head written free. It's just like I'm betraying Jesus for free.
Well, and you know, with Judas, there's feel like there's plausible or at least somewhat valid uh line of argumentation that that he actually thought he might be able to uh basically jumpstart Jesus as a revolutionary leader.
Yeah, there's >> not that he necessarily thought he was turning him over in in the sense that that yes, he's going to be killed and everything, but but there I mean, I think it's plausible to consider that he thought, okay, G Jesus is way too relaxed about this and I just got to kickstart this and set things off so when when they come to arrest him, I know I mean the uh what are the two the zealots? There was the two zealots in in the in the disciples >> and zealots were a that that was a um >> a revolutionary group that was interested in overthrowing the Roman government or the Roman rule of the land. So it wouldn't be far-fetched for Judas to think, okay, look, I love Jesus and you and and so that kind of tells us another thing about ourselves. I mean so many times people uh will say well the Jesus I worship wouldn't he wouldn't condemn this or the Jesus I serve wouldn't do that and you can say that safely if what you mean by that is you're describing the Jesus that we know is Jesus but it's very easy to make a Jesus of your own imagination for example in in in uh during the Exodus when when they made the golden calf.
They didn't say this is Ball or this is Raw or this is anyone else. They said this is Yahweh your God.
>> So they were technically worshiping Yahweh, >> but it was a Yahweh of their own creation. And it's and it's very easy to make a Jesus of your own creation and worship that Jesus and serve that Jesus and it's not actually Jesus. So, it's a it's good to be you got to be in in the textual word and you have to be in the spiritual word with through prayer and and uh to make sure that you are in tune with the Jesus and not a pretty picture on the wall or a statue or or even a a >> a an idea of who Jesus is because we all we all have done it and are capable of doing it.
It's not very difficult.
>> We can turn >> We can turn Jesus into an idol. Um, which progressive Christians are like by far the worst at this.
>> They have a a gay affirming Jesus. And it's like, well, that's not actual that's not Jesus.
>> Um, >> right?
>> Like he defined marriage that wasn't part of marriage. You're now changing who Jesus is to redefine him to make him fit your needs, your desires, your wills. Well, that's making God in your image. Um, even if it has the vague similarities with it with the real God, you're still doing idolatry.
>> That's still very dangerous and very hard to get out of. So actually repenting from that and um accepting Jesus and you know just Yahweh in general for who he is >> that will actually be extremely beneficial for you. You should be doing that not trying to rework God whenever you're not happy with what he does in XYZ situation >> or some theology around him or some way to understand him. So you have to reinterpret God and that is idolatry.
But yeah um the New Testament the gospels just say that he was pilfering somebody. Um so he was robbing Jesus throughout which would maybe go against the the view that oh he was just a misguided um supporter of Jesus because he does it's a preempted um selling of Christ because he goes and he he reaches out to the Pharisees and asks them what can I get for selling him out.
>> So you do have that component to it which I have heard that before with um >> he thought that Jesus wasn't going to die. He thought Jesus was just going to become king and that he was just going to start the process of Jesus becoming king. Um >> but then there's also the the potential of him know like he thinks Jesus actually is going to die and he doesn't care.
>> Right. Right.
>> Um yeah, he his heart is at least not accepting Jesus for who he is, especially because he calls him rabbi >> instead of Lord.
>> So he's not willing to acknowledge Jesus as God or as his master.
um he just calls him teacher. So you do you have a lot of uh clues to show that Judas likely didn't accept Christ. And then you also have him like sort of repenting and then going and hanging himself. Um he was extremely mournful of his actions leading to Jesus's death. So that would also be some evidence that he wasn't expecting Jesus to die and he was kind of shocked by it to the point where whenever he realized what was happening, he threw the money back to them and then he went and hung himself. So you can I can see definitely the case for both views. But >> and it could be a little bit of each.
You know, it's it's a human being. We're we're terribly textbook, but we're also terribly complex.
I keep waiting for Christian Gadfly to join, but he just isn't. So, I guess it's going to be like last week where I kept waiting for you to join and you didn't. So, also apparently IP said it's raining Jiza on stream tonight. So, that's going to now be a gif and that will come up, I'm sure, all over the internet. Um, yeah.
>> Not in the zit sense. Not in desert sense.
Anyway, so is there anything else you want to go over for this before we move on to the next chapter?
>> Uh, no. I think that >> you had some notes.
>> I think that covers it all.
>> Yeah, it was mostly just in case we got into whether or not um pe people were worried about >> whether John doesn't line up with the synop synoptic gospels as to whether uh this was or was not a Passover.
But >> right, >> as long as that's not a main thing here, unless anybody in the chat maybe holds that view and is is confused or wondering. But >> yeah, I mean, a lot of the debates on that are pretty obscure. Like the whole idea of um the Wednesday crucifixion theory versus the Friday crucifixion theory. Um >> that's a very obscure debate. Most people aren't even aware of of his existence. So, >> okay, >> I'll eventually make a video on that.
Um, I might eventually make a video on um if he was killed on the preparation day for Passover or whether he was killed on Passover, >> I guess. Wait, so you >> So that would be what I would say. Yeah, >> he was killed that it was Passover evening.
>> He was killed >> preparation. Well, preparation day when it's in used in the gospels is talking about um the day before Saturday, >> right?
>> Yeah. Yeah. So, is not in regard to Passover in any way. So, so the Passover on the 14th of of Aviv or Nissan, whichever you want to use, um is when you would take the lamb to the temple to be slaughtered and then you would take it back home and you would eat that that night where biblical days started at darkness.
>> So, the 15th of Aviv is the first day technically of Passover.
>> It's the high holy day. It's it's a Shabbat and it's a and so that starts at dark and so you have your Passover dinner your your seder meal at dark and that would be the 15th above Eve. So people have this idea which I I understand where they they think that Jesus was was uh sacrificed or Jesus was crucified at the same time as the lambs for Passover would be sacrificed. that would put him not being able to eat the Passover. So, it' have to be the day later uh that that Jesus was he was sacrificed on the first day of the week of unleaven bread, >> but he but but he was not sacrificed at the time that the lambs were being sacrificed in the temple for the Passover. It would be a really neat lineup if if if he was, but we just don't really have a scriptural basis for that.
>> Yeah.
>> So, it's easy to see why people would say he that must be when Jesus was crucified because he's the Passover lamb. He's the lamb of God. Uh but there were also other sacrifices being done at the time that he was being crucified that weren't particularly the Passover lamb, but there's still something and this actually does come up in the discussion. Uh it's called a hagi.
These were the special additional sacrifices made. And Chris, you've probably read this in the Talmud. Uh >> these are additional sacrifices for the holy day made that were not that specific Passover lamb that everyone wants to >> attribute to Jesus. I and I hope I'm not uh I know what I'm talking about, but in in my hazy tired state, I hope I'm not saying a whole bunch of things that everyone's having trouble following. So feel free to to jump in, Chris, and let me know if I'm talking in puzzles right now.
>> That's fun. Um I I would hold to a Nissan 14 um sacrifice.
Uh it sounds like you would hold to a 15 sacrifice.
>> Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
>> Okay. Okay. So I would >> And so I would say it would have to be because he he wouldn't be able to eat Passover. He would have to do it a day before >> if it was a 14.
>> I would say that he did.
>> Um >> Okay. Oh, okay. So then my notes are relevant.
Yeah.
>> So, I would just say that he had the the meal early with his people because he knew he would be dead for it or he would be killed before the festival start.
>> Okay. And so, you you base this off of I would imagine only John because only John is the only one that actually doesn't play that seems to not place it at Passover, right?
>> Do you do you do you not struggle with the synoptic gospel? Do you think they're in error?
No, I think you can harmonize them fairly easily.
>> Oh, really? What do you do? What do you do for for the three verses drawn?
>> So, you would have um the preparation day before the sab or not not for the Sabbath, but be for the Passover seder itself. So, the preparation day is talking about. So you basically you'd have a um the Passover starting. So Nissan uh 15 would be on that Thursday. Nissan 16 would be that Friday. Nissan 17 would be that Saturday would be the Sabbath. And Nissan 18 is whenever Jesus resurrected.
So then you have from the 14 to the 18 is the actual resurrection times. Um, so then it would be a literal three days, three nights in the tomb, which is actually part of the debate whether it was literal three days, three nights or if it was um partial inclusion with it being just um the 14 night all of 15 and then just the 16 morning um for Friday being the 14th going to Sunday being the um 16th. If you take a a longer view of that week and it being half a week instead of it being just a day and a half, um then you would get not only the three days, three nights, but you would also get the the the language within John 19 lining up a little bit closer to the synoptics uh for the preparation day stuff um for the Passover.
>> Okay. But again, I think I would need like a timeline and a graph and all the Bible verses on screen, which I don't have prepared even a little bit >> to actually go through the options. Um, but I do think we actually have multiple viable options. Um, I would be perfectly happy to have my mind changed on any of it.
So >> I think I think I I have enough where I could comfortably change your mind to to make uh John >> John John being the in agreement with the the synoptics that they're all this was Passover night. Uh, but it it would be I I didn't fully I mean I have all the notes on it, but I didn't know if we would be going through them because I thought maybe we would all view it as a thing. One one of the points I think uh or maybe it might be easier trying to think because John it does seem to be textually here the the outlier from the three. All the other three are just seem to be very clear that it's Passover.
>> And so John starts even with uh like John 13:1 when it says now before the feast of the Passover.
So it kind of already puts that in your mind. Uh and then it goes in verse two, supper being ended.
>> So you said for 13.
>> Yeah, just from the very beginning of 13.
>> Okay. So before we go through that um thank you brother for the gifted membership lawful good. Got it. Um also being said I want to see the charts so I'm very tempted to bring up some charts because I've seen them before so I could go find them.
>> Yeah I was going to say Chris if you want to do that I can uh void my bladder since Christian Godfly doesn't like when I join other live streams. I'll use different terminology and you could maybe uh peruse some charts while I before I make my return.
>> Yeah.
>> But just answer this question.
>> Go ahead.
>> What does that say? Could the temple piece handle that many? Oh, whoops.
Pressed the wrong button.
>> Could the temple priest Oh, yeah. I mean, these were this was a big deal.
And the temple was huge. I don't know if you've ever uh if you look at the uh second temple after Herod's renovations, it's enormous and it had to be because you'd get millions of of Jews. The >> uh if if you're not familiar schematics, >> yeah.
>> All right. I'll pull up the schematics.
>> Theatics >> and I will be back in a moment. Yes.
Chromatics.
Okay, so we have uh let me just go ahead and pull up some charts. So this thing is quite large. Um that's Ezekiel's temple over here. But this is the original temple in the orange and that's Herod's temple. Um, now the original temple had that's the bronze basin where you're doing the washing and the sacrifice. That's the fire. Then that's where the holy of holies is. I can zoom in a tad bit. Um, and then you would have the tabernacle.
Tabernacle is the smallest. There's a football field. That's that. So then this is like twice the size of a football field for the American standard unit of measurement being a football field.
So you have two to three football fields worth of space within the temple to do sacrifice. And then this is the heavenly temple which is like 15 football fields in size. Um so we have how long is he going to use the surprise Pikachu Godfly picture? Uh probably for eternity.
Anyway um so the the mount of lambs this actually where Bethlehem comes from.
Bethlehem is where they lay they raised lamb specifically for Passover. Um so in the hillside of Bethlehem they had a bit of green greener grass.
Um spelled that wrong. It's not. See if I can find some pictures. Uh it's a bit better. All right. So you have this green grass that the sheep and everyone else can hang out in. and it's nice and pretty and it's comfortable. Well, Bethlehem had all of these little baby sheep in it in order for you to get uh all the lambs you need. So, Jesus was born and the house of bread as the Passover lamb to be slain by, you know, shepherds nearby witnessing it. And also, we have shepherds like Jesus is the good shepherd, but he's also the lamb to be slain. And that's where the lambs were grown and raised in order to be slain within it. So Bethlehem is close to Jerusalem. They would specifically grow all the lambs. They raise the lambs, I should say, not grow them. They would raise the lambs. They would birth the lambs around the temple area in uh near the Jerusalem outskirts.
So you wouldn't be that far from the city. So the animals didn't have to travel far. or the people would come to Jerusalem, pay for the lambs from the shepherds there and then sacrifice them in the temple because if you try to travel with a lamb who's acceptably sacrificed might get hurt on the road and then you can't sacrifice it no mo.
So then what do you do? Well then you know so they had ritual lambs that were available to be slain that they would pay a pretty penny for which is why Jesus drove them out the temple because they were upcharging on the sacrifices which made God extremely angry.
And for good reason. So you have um you know only one lamb per Steven somehow left and then joined back. Um you only have one lamb per family and there's around what like 50,000 to 100,000 families in Jerusalem in all of Israel. So you'd have 50,000 to 100,000 lambs and you have all of the priests. So, if we look at the courses, um, it's in First Kings, I believe, 1 Chronicles has it as well. So, let's go through this real quick. If you have it in this actually how we can know when Jesus was born, ironically enough. So, let me bring up Logos again. Uh, so you have the the courses. Let me also get rid of back just Hebrew. He brew. He brew. We'll send some these are the divisions of the sons of Aaron. They were the sons of Aaron and they had the sons. And then it specifically mentions the divisions by law and when the people would serve uh within the temple. So now the first lot came out for Jerub, second for Jiah and Heram, and then the fifth and sixth and the ninth for Yeshua, which is actually just Jesus. It's the same spelling for Jesus, which is kind of fun.
And in these corpses you have uh Abijah as well which is right here. So the eighth course is for Abijra. It's also how we know whenever um John the Baptist was born because his dad was serving in the temple during the course of Abijra which we know is towards the um like seventh eighth month of the year. He goes home gets his wife pregnant. Nine months later you get within Nissan. So a spring birth for John. You count six months you get a fall birth for Jesus.
So interesting that you know you tie those together. But these are the courses of the priests. Well every um Pass well Passover yes but all three of the pilgrimage festivals all of the priests from all of these courses have Christian gaffly as well. All of the priests from all of these courses are also serving within the temple. So you have hundreds of thousands or you know tens of thousands of priests in the temple sacrificing these lambs and they would just go in rotation um constantly throughout you know for several hours.
So how can they sacrifice all these lambs? How can they sacrifice like tens of thousands? Well, they have you know tens of thousands of workers with a very large area in order to sacrifice them.
and you would sacrifice hundreds at a time. Um, it would just be flowing with it. Anyway, how you doing, brother?
>> Good.
>> Steven somehow disappeared.
>> Can you even hear me?
>> I can in fact hear you.
>> Okay, cuz I can't find my mic.
Um, so this is just my webcam mic.
>> Oh, it's fine.
>> Okay.
I mean, we can hear a little bit of background noise, but it's not that distracting.
>> Just mute me if you need to.
>> Okay. Um, so again, with that many priests, you can sacrifice that many animals. It doesn't take that long. Uh, even if every priest only did two lambs, that would still be plenty of lambs.
You're underestimating how many priests they had. they they had an entire race of people within the Israelites that are dedicated to doing that.
So, um yeah. Anyway, Stephen went out for a pee and then somehow came back without a microphone or a camera.
>> What a difference.
>> And yeah, >> what is your team right now? Like I don't have a mic. He doesn't have a microphone or camera.
>> Late September for Jesus's birth. Yes.
Uh indeed.
Yep.
Lots of comments that are just accurate.
Yeah. John was born around Passover.
Jesus 6 months later. Yep.
Steven disappeared as Gadply appears.
Sus.
>> I thought it was safe on here.
I was just waiting till he I don't want to be on here with the Judaizer. So, >> I was watching it on the minute he left.
>> See Passover.
>> I cannot figure out how to turn off this dinosaur background. I don't remember how I turned it on.
>> What? Out of the Dino Lab. How do I >> uh visual effects?
>> Yeah, that's what I'm trying.
>> Then just click none.
>> I already did that. It's not working.
>> I just become like a little flame dude.
>> Oh, I hit reset. Oh, that got rid of it.
Okay.
A little flame dude. Are you calling me a flamer?
>> No. See? Ah, there it goes. I'm a little It's lagging real bad. Hold on. Uh, there.
Anyway, so Last Supper timeline trying to pull up some graphs because I got a request for the graphs of when Jesus was crucified in relation to the Last Supper.
So, that's a graph for the the Wednesday crucifixion theory, which I guess I'll pull that up.
Um, and I made that graph myself. Not the one I show, but I've done that before.
So, how you doing? How you been?
>> I'm good. It's really frustrating to not have my mic though because I just have no idea what I even sound like.
>> You sound like you, but >> you sound exactly like you, just a little bit quieter.
>> Oh, okay. That's not too bad. That's probably better. It's probably an improvement. Maybe it's the Lord's will that I lose my mic.
>> I'm going to manually adjust your mic settings real quick.
>> Okay, >> so you should be a little bit louder now. Let's give the people something to hear.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay. You can hear me good.
>> We can indeed hear you. Good.
>> Good.
>> That's one of the timelines.
Um I might bring up the other one, but >> did you make this yourself?
>> No.
>> Okay.
>> I did not. I have made one similar to this, but this is not actually what I'm going through. Um, this would be pretty much a possibility that I have entertained in the past for the Wednesday crucifixion theory. The biggest um downsides to this idea is the testimony of the church fathers that all unanimously say he was killed on preparation day of the Sabbath. So, specifically Friday. So you would have to basically if you hold this view you would then have to say that all the church fathers including the early church fathers who said that he was killed on preparation day of the Sabbath either didn't understand the scriptures because they weren't Jews um or they just are flatout wrong.
If you are saying that the church fathers are right then he was killed on Friday and then the Passover meal that they're eating would be the Thursday. So you would have uh all of this shifted over a little bit. But one of the ideas that you could say is that the last supper was the Tuesday. And because so the the yellow dot here is the day cycle. The black is the night cycle because Jews break up their days into 12-hour days and 12-hour nights. um starting from like roughly 6:00 a.m. to roughly 6 p.m. And so you would say, "Oh, well, this supper is happening and it goes into the night." So they're eating it during the day. It goes into the night. Jesus is betrayed. He is then um found to be guilty illegally during the nighttime and then tried and hang up on the cross right around whenever like midway through day. It's like the third hour, so around like 9:00 a.m. And then he is crucified for I believe 6 hours. He dies around 3 p.m. and then he uh is buried before sunset for specifically the feast of Passover.
So he would be eating the Passover meal with his family with the disciples uh a day two days early. So it would be last supper, him tried and killed, buried, actual Passover meal, and then the preparation day whenever the women go out and purchase spices, the Sabbath, and then Jesus resurrecting. So then you would have the three days and the three nights.
This does fit most of the data except for the language in the church fathers of him specifically resurrecting on um well not Sunday but being killed on preparation day of the Sabbath which then you have to squeeze all of this into this point to that point. So you you barely have like 28 hours from Jesus being crucified to resurrecting.
So yeah. Hey, Stephen's back.
Yeah, you don't really need an opinion on the subject. Both views can work and people have figured out both ways. So whichever one you want to take, go for it. Um there's bullets you have to bite on both ways, including like in Matthew it says um now the Sabbaths, it has Sabbath and plural there. So it says after the Sabbaths um Jesus resurrected.
>> Chris, can you hear me?
>> If I can't hear you.
>> Okay. And I don't know if this is a a technological issue on my end, but it says that I am backstage. So, I don't know if I've rejoined.
Uh, >> you're fine. Yeah. I don't even see the other statement anymore. You're good.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, there was another statement.
>> There was another statement at some point.
>> Yeah.
>> Is uh is Christian Gadfly? I thought I heard that. Or is that Was that just a >> I'm I'm here. You can't see me.
>> Can you hear me?
I can hear him.
>> Okay.
>> Can you hear him?
>> Can I hear Christian? No, I can't hear or see Christian.
>> John, I can't hear or see Christian.
>> I'll just completely leave and then come right back.
>> Yeah, >> just completely leave.
>> I was going to tell him that might be your dream scenario, but I guess he can't hear me. Can't hear me, so that joke won't land.
>> Uh, so this is the other one. Um, so this is the the Good Friday one. And also, if you want to take this, you have to then say, "Oh, well, Good Friday didn't actually didn't technically happen." Um, so if you take this view, then you're you're saying that Good Friday was actually um Good Wednesday.
Anyway, um, so this is the Good Friday view of The Last Supper is happening just before Friday, so that Thursday night. Um so right here we have the meal happening and then he is arrested and then he is killed on the Friday itself.
So he's on trial and then he is um sentenced to death, taken away, put up on the cross at the third hour, insulted darkness and then he dies at the the 9th hour. So around 3 p.m. he dies. Now, pretty much no one disputes those hours because that's explicitly within the text itself. That's not really up for dispute. What is up for dispute um according to these different views is did this happen Thursday night or did this happen Tuesday night?
Which one is it?
So, I'm also curious what your view on that is. Would you hold more to this where it's the longer um full three days, three nights in the tomb or would you hold to the shorter uh like 28 hours in the tomb?
>> Is that me or Chrisific talking to?
>> Not Steven.
>> Okay.
>> Yeah.
>> Uh that part I I I that part I I don't actually isn't isn't so important to me.
Uh okay. becau only because I try to to view the timeline by by the way hello Christian >> hello can you hear me now >> I try to uh yes now I can hear you uh what's important to me is like the in the text what we have which is the time markers which is Passover night and and the weekly Sabbath >> right >> and so I think >> you will be You will not go to hell because by the way >> someone asked will I go to hell if I get this wrong. No this is this is entirely unrelated to your salvation or to Jesus's death burial and resurrection.
This is just semantics on your view.
>> Yeah.
>> Right.
>> Yeah. And so for me, what I view as time markers would be specifically the Passover and the weekly Sabbath because they definitely let's say if you're in a cult, yes, if you're in uh and and so I think that that you can very very strongly uh show from John that this was it was a 15th of A of Eve uh crucifixion.
And >> yeah, >> so so some of the things uh that people bring up like I was saying like the the wording now before the the before the feast of the Passover when Jesus knew that his hour had come that he should depart from this world and so you hear before the Passover and then 132 it says and supper being ended. Now, this is where I think I had notes where Yeah. where Christian Gadfly could opine with his his lovely Greek knowledge.
>> Not in the Zut sense, but in Greek grammar.
Uh, so I think, and it's hard for me to read with my stupid contact lenses, so I'm going to be like an old man and hold it 10 miles away. It's hard in the Greek.
Dapnu ginu.
Uh what verse are you talking about?
>> Uh for uh this is John 13 uh two I think. Let's see.
>> Oh okay.
>> Yeah. John 13:2 >> during supper.
>> Yeah. So so during supper supper was now in progress.
Uh but some translated as supper having ended.
And >> so, so you've got what what's your what translation you have pulled up, Chris?
Do you have during Okay, good. During supper. I think that's actually what the Greek supports, >> but Christian Godfly knows Greek better than I do.
>> But the the deep ginu menu >> uh I feel like that's supper in progress.
>> That would be the word for debate.
Yeah. Uh >> yeah, >> it's a participle.
Uh then uh the lema of it is like to it's like where we get our word generating. So like existing being.
>> Okay.
>> And so to me it looks like it says in the supper existing being have coming into being.
>> Okay. the the devil already >> cast into the card on the part. Yeah.
anyway in order to betray.
>> And so we also have uh with with it being where where where Jesus is talking about handing the bread, giving the bread to to the person >> uh which we all know is is a is a thing to do during the Passover dinner. And so I guess Chris, you would be saying that Jesus was having a pseudo Passover uh in anticipation that he would not be able to celebrate the Passover.
>> Yeah. So what do you do with this 131 specifically?
>> Me before the feast.
>> No, not you.
>> Uhuh.
>> Yeah. So that would be on that would be on the 14th because because it starts at sunset on the 14th which would then become at dark is the 15th. So in preparation for the Passover like when he when he tells uh they say Lord where will we have the Passover and he said and he says do such and such >> go and find the dude. Yeah.
>> Right. Right. And and so this is where I and then even in the synoptics we have I've eagerly uh anticipated I'm doing a bad um not a translation but a referencing of what he says eagerly wanted to uh eat this Passover with you. And so Jesus is calling it a Passover. The synoptic gospels call it a Passover. The only reason I think this exists is because John's wording seems to imply or it could imply that it was before Passover.
But but that would be one out of the three. And also, >> right, but uh >> John was deliberately trying to correct things that he thought were unclear in the synoptics.
>> So you would argue that for this for this position, right? But it's but it's not >> deliberately changing. would be a uh uh what's it a conscious edit the conscious edit argument.
>> Yeah, >> because >> it actually works for John because John is literally doing that a number of places. But yeah, unlike the >> Oh, you would say that he you would say that he does correct the synoptics and >> he adds details.
>> Yeah, he definitely adds details where he thinks >> Oh, yeah. I would agree. adds details but not in ways that would say as corrections.
>> No.
>> Yeah. Just uh >> there's not contradictions between John and the synoptics. He's adding additional um clarifications.
>> Oh, okay. So, you're saying the synoptics aren't saying that it's Passover and he's adding the the little nuances that show that. Is that what you would be saying?
Yeah, I would say that um he he's doing a better job at explaining what things are and the people may have just been less clear and Luke himself is just taking from Matthew and the other witnesses that he had. Mark is a combination of Luke and Matthew and John is reading those three and just being like, "Huh, well, we need to make well, first off, let's just make Jesus being God the the clearest thing we can do right now." So all right, in the beginning was God and the word was good God was God. It's like yeah.
>> So like all of the gospels teach Jesus is God but not nearly as clearly as John does. And that's not because it went from low christologology to high christologology. All of them have high christoologgies I'm about to beat into people's heads on Friday. Um but he's making it way more explicit and clear and adding this detail that the others don't. He has lots of stories and references and things to that the others don't in order to show, okay, this is actually why this happened. This is what we believe. This is why we believe it.
This is what Jesus is doing. It's also why he has the high priestly prayer and all these other like like he has as much content after the the the start of the Holy Week than he does before the start of Holy Week. And he's the only one >> like in Matthew the Holy Week starts in like chapter 26 like >> entirely lopsided compared to every other gospel >> where so much of John is after >> I think a lot of this I think a lot of this is is is kind of an issue only because second temple Judaism was kind of in a in a in a state of >> I mean you had the Pharisees, the Sadducees, >> uh you had Jesus And you had other groups uh and so >> c Yeah. And so you have certain terms that >> that they knew what those meant when they were saying them whereas us looking back on it >> uh we we kind of struggle because this is really our our main window into that culture and context. It's a very which again is kind of a a nice argument for how significant Jesus was is this is this is a very I mean like this is we we know more about the Druids you know in certain ways than we know about certain or that we ought to know about second second temple Judaism. It's because of Jesus that these things are have been kind of pushed into the forefront of of of knowledge because people saw it as being important to record. So >> on that on that topic, uh I think the the interchangeability of a lot of terms such as Passover, like if if um I I would actually wager to say that a lot of people who are familiar with Passover that don't keep it think that Passover is a one-day thing.
>> However, Passover is is is a week long.
It's the it's the beginning of the feast of unleaven bread which is a week.
>> And even in the New Testament they use these interchangeably.
>> So like in uh in Matthew Matthew 26 he says now on the first day of the feast of unleaven bread the disciples came to Jesus saying to him where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?
So Matthew, that's Matthew 26:17.
Matthew's calling it the first day of unleven bread, but it's not. This this would be the 14th of Eve because you don't eat the Passover until the 15th.
So, even Matthew and then Luke uh Luke, where is it? Luke 22, he says uh now the feast of unleven bread, which is called the Passover, was near. Then came the day of unleaven bread >> on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed.
>> So it's not it it does get a little bit unclear for us being so far removed and so culturally removed as to what which day are you guys talking about?
>> Toyota multiple comments on that. Okay.
So biblically it's aviv after the Babylonian exile.
>> If you go and read the Old Testament Hebrew, you'll see aviv uh whenever >> it's talking about it >> like Exodus when the commandments given Deuteronomy.
>> Yeah. Um so in the law itself in the Torah it's Avivve.
>> Um and then later on whenever they came up with month names for all of the months because previously it was like tish for example was just the seventh month. Right.
>> So instead of it be being the seventh month, it's now all of a sudden to shri.
So >> same with Nissan. Nissan was just the first month. And um well it was Avivve and of is like the father like the beginning.
>> Um >> well Aviv specifically is referencing the state that the barley in the land would be in because that's how you would time it.
>> The month of Aviv.
>> Yeah. When the barley would be in in in the Aviv state. And that's a whole other that's a whole other tangent we could go down. Uh but but yeah, biblically um Aviv, they they would have said Aviv.
Now, well, I say biblically after the Babylonian exiles when they picked up some Babylonian names for the months.
>> Yeah.
>> Uh >> so just because Steven is a Torah observant Christian, >> I'm used to using >> um >> yeah, he's used to using Aviv. So >> just filter that in your brain as you will.
>> But >> yeah, sorry.
>> Nissan Aviv. I'll try to Yeah, I'll try to use Nissan for for uh smoothness. But uh so so in in Mark in Mark 14 says, "Now on the first day of unleven bread, when they killed the Passover lamb, his disciples said to him, "Where do you want us to go and prepare that we may eat the Passover?"
So Chris, I think that would be an issue for you for your position. uh because that would be an actual contradiction if you take John as presenting this as a pre preassover meal. Mark 14:12 is what I was reading from.
>> Okay.
So, now on the first day of unleven bread when they when they killed the Passover lamb, his disciples said to him, "Where do you want us to go and prepare that we may eat the Passover?"
So, he's talking about the 14th of Aivve there. That's when they would kill the lamb and then you would eat it >> that night which would begin the 15th.
So if if you take that John is doing a >> a uh for a 13th I guess it would be the 13th of Avivve going into the 14th that evening then that would be in direct >> contradiction with Mark >> right >> whereas I don't think you have to do I I think I think John is because the main things a lot of people bring up when uh when they come to the ptorium uh with with pilot and it says they didn't want to go in because they would be unclean to eat the Passover.
>> And that's when I earlier I brought up the hagga offering which >> when did tish one become rashana?
>> Uh during after the Babylonian exile.
>> Okay. So that wasn't originally the first month. Uh it's no it's it's it they call it the first civil month because there is a uh I mean but we have explicitly stated in Exodus I think it says this will be the first of months for you.
>> Also that was like the 12th time I've asked that but I had like accidentally unplugged my camera and then plugged it back in and the mic had turned back on and I hadn't realized y'all couldn't hear me. So I like I kept waiting till there was a pause and then going when did history one become Rashad? What is this?
I'm like, this is weird. Are they Are they trying to avoid this question or something? And then I realized that my mic wasn't even turned on. I'm over here talking to nobody.
>> You have too powerful of Dala. We can't answer your question.
>> You guys are over there just like, man, he's finally shut up for once. It's so nice.
>> Sweating bullets.
>> We're able to finally get some words now without Christian Gadfly blabbing.
Uh yeah, they've later said that Rashashana was the anniversary of the creation of the universe which is why it's the new year.
>> Yes, correct.
>> Even though God in Hebrew explicitly stated, >> right, Rash is the head of something in Shauna's year. Um >> you have God explicitly with Aviv saying this will be your first month >> and it's also the month that Jesus is killed and you know the start of the new creation and like all that typology. So God establishes the first month to you know later be the month that he is killed um to show the old creation versus the new creation, old covenant versus new covenant and all the fun typology and prophecy stuff. Uh but God himself >> biblically that that >> that term doesn't exist. It's called Yonga.
And interestingly, this is why I I believe that that Jesus will return on that day.
It's the only holiday in the Bible that is is given no reason for celebrating.
Every other every other holy day has a very explicit reason why we observe it, why we keep it, and what it represents.
Yuma, which tua in Hebrew means loud noise. Uh it could be done in in for for war or for celebration.
>> Yeah.
>> Uh but it just means loud noise.
>> The day of the day of loud noise. And and there is no reason God does not tell you why you should celebrate this day where every other one there's all sorts of very deep meaningful reasons.
>> And so to me that's the day and and and >> Jesus was born. Are you going to say there were angels that did have trumpets and there was a loud noise?
>> Correct.
>> So, so and the only reason I would say that I the only argument I would have against that I wouldn't say you it's definitely disprovable. The only argument I would have against that is that I feel like it would be so unwise of the Romans to have a census where people had to travel on that day.
And also that it's such an important day that I feel like all any any one of the gospel writers would have mentioned and by the way I mean this would have been huge uh to the audience by the way look he was born on yum tura that's a big that would be a big deal so I'm not saying he wasn't I'm just saying I I feel like and I guess that would be would that be kind of like could you could you rightly point that out as an argument from silence but I think it's I would say a little bit.
>> Okay.
>> It's a conspicuous time at least.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. Well, he was he was for sure born in the fall.
>> So, I agree with that.
>> What do you do with that? Like, but I mean, if if he's exactly 6 months after John, we know John was born around Nissan 10 or Eve 10.
>> Um, if he's exactly six months, then Jesus would be born right around Yamapore.
>> Um, >> which in and of itself, you know, that's pretty significant. But if he was actually born um during Russashana, that would still be like two weeks before they had to do the pilgrimage.
>> Yeah, correct.
>> So you still have at least enough time for like less less likely. I don't know.
>> Yeah, it just seems like the Romans were so sensitive like even with Pilate with the with the tradition of at Passover's >> giving up a uh >> a prisoner, >> right? They they were pretty in tune with trying to avoid revolt.
>> Well, >> yeah. And that is 33 years later after the revolts already started >> because before then like with even with the Herodians, Herod stamped out resistance and rebellion.
>> Um the dude was brutal. He murdered most of >> also was a uh wasn't he like halfassy?
He he wasn't even like full Jew.
Herod, >> I don't remember.
>> So, he had ahead.
>> He was like uh >> he was interesting in all sorts of ways.
The the whole Herodian dynasty.
What were we talking about, though? I I think I took us off way over uh Oh, that we were talking about Avivve, I think. Aviv versus Nissan. Um >> uh Well, we were talking about the Passover and when that was going to be happening.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So, so Mark, would what do you do with Mark 14:12 from your from your position, Chris?
>> Yeah. I don't know cuz I think that that kind of unless you want to just acknowledge that there's like a blatant contradiction between the two, I think that kind of settles it.
And I think it does kind of come down to what I was saying about like the interchangeability of terms, >> right?
>> I mean, even when I was a kid, I knew about Passover, but I didn't I I just knew it was a thing, but I thought it was a one day thing, even after watching the the wonderful Rugrats Passover special, if if any of you guys have ever seen that.
>> But, uh, Passover to me was just a day.
I had no clue about the feast of unleavened bread, the whole week of unleavened bread. And it turns out, I mean, even today, Jews use the terms interchangeably and all the way back then they were as well.
>> And and that so like even with Mark 14:12, he calls it the first day of unleaven bread, which you could see putting yourself in there when that's the day when you go take your lamb to the temple.
>> You'd want to be there for that. It's not a it's not a Sabbath or anything, but you've got to get your lamb offered >> so that you could take it back in that night, >> right? That's technically not even the first day of unleven bread.
>> Correct. That's what I'm saying.
>> He's he's historically wrong about that statement.
>> Or he's >> which in of itself gets into >> he's et but he's not but >> yeah he's not >> right. Right.
>> He's not exact in the way that we want him to be exact as modernday readers. So this is a >> a term used to identify the setting. Not necessarily like a hey this is exactly Nissan 14.
Right. Kind of like if if you had a debate with a Muslim about Rebecca being three and then you we were talking about it on your stream and you go and you go, "I destroyed that guy." And we'd go, "Oh, well, Chris, you could have just, you know, you could have just >> debated him. You didn't have to destroy him."
>> So, I think that's kind of what we've got going on here because we are removed again. And and again what what we have to take into consideration is we're reading this is pre-temple destruction.
So this is a very unique time in um in in history and and in culture for for this particular people group. And so things were not exactly as uh they're not so clean, I guess, I would say, as as to when we look back and say, well, Mark says it was the first day of unleven bread, but that's not when they sacrificed the lambs. They sacrificed lambs the day before that. But to Mark in that time, that's what they called it because everyone would already been in town and there would have been millions of people coming in and out of the temple courts. So, >> right. and and for an audience that's only vaguely familiar with it anyways, >> right?
>> Like there's some evidence that he's writing to Gentiles specifically, >> right? And so another thing I think though is um when when they talk about, let me flip through here, >> I did want to bring out one thing while you're looking for that. Um, so Chuck Mesler points out that the resurrection would have occurred on Avivve 17, which ended up being the ex the same day on the old calendar that Noah and his family exited the ark. Uh, which is neat in and of itself, but it's also the the day of first fruits.
So, the resurrection would be the first.
>> Yes. That's much more important. Yes.
And and definitely. Yes. Uh, now rabbis would argue with that. The Pharisees would argue with that. That's another thing I we could Oh, man. We could go into that, too.
Uh, first fruits. So, what how the rabbis do it, they always do it on a certain day. They have a day marked for first fruits.
>> Yeah.
>> Biblically in in the law of Moses, you count, it's called the counting of the Almir. You count 50 days from the day of first fruits to get to Pentecost.
Man, my tired brain. I might be I might be uh it's reminding me of what they say about Paul. Uh much learning have made you mad, but in my case, it would be much much learning and no sleep has made you mad.
I don't want to be off topic. I think I might be that that would be for the dating of Pentecost. That's more important. Yes. But first fruits definitely Jesus was was resurrected on uh >> first fruits.
>> Yes. Which is really awesome. And if you're not familiar with first fruits, it's in uh Leviticus 23. I think you can read about all the holy days. And it comes >> it's the day after the Sabbath during Passover week. So it's always on a Sunday >> just like Pentecost is always on a Sunday.
>> Yep. And >> so no matter which of the views you take, whether it's Wednesday or Friday crucifixion, you still end up with a first fruits resurrection, >> which is still just like >> choice.
>> Mhm.
>> Based. Yeah. And I went over that in my video that I did on the the festivals, >> but >> Okay. And and so the thing left for us is then when was Jesus sacrificed? And I and I would just say that we would like this very nice tidy typology of him being crucified when the lambs were being sacrificed.
It would be wonderful and it would line up perfectly. I just don't think scripturally you can support that unless you want to acknowledge that there are contradictions which which I would argue they on the surface level they seem like contradictions but they they're very easily resolved and that's what we're supposed to be talking about. and I did all this. So, I'm sorry.
>> Which is also why I don't hold like a really hard fast um view on this because I think it is up for debate and interpretation which if >> you have something that is up for debate and interpretation that isn't necessary for salvation. You're going to end up ruffling feathers for no reason. So I don't take a I like just presenting all the views and then just letting people come to their own conclusions.
>> Um including with this. So like September 3 BC >> for uh Oh, sorry.
>> Oh yeah. Yeah.
>> I was just going to say >> the day I currently think Jesus was born was actually October 1st 4 BC.
>> There you go. If you want to go look at the calendars and all that stuff, I made a video on it actually. Anyway, go ahead.
I was I was just going to say I think it's important for uh the whole picture that that we view Jesus as celebrating the Passover. And even though that that removes him from being crucified when the lambs for Passover were being crucified, there still was uh the hagiga offerings that happened on the 15th of Aviv that would have been happening uh at the time of Jesus being crucified.
And so even though he's not just because also there there's a lot of really neat parallels with Jesus and the Yom Kapor lamb uh goats, but there they don't line up exactly, but there's still things in there. And and I would say that we don't need them to line up exactly for uh the the meaning of certain things to still be uh fulfilled or or um represented in Jesus. And so even the fallover.
>> Mhm.
>> So like the fall festivals, you have every single one of the fall festivals, including the man-made fall festival of the eighth day. All four of those point to Jesus and his birth.
>> So when you say the eighth day, you're talking about the end of Sukkot.
>> Yeah. Where uh they celebrate the the last of the the harvest.
>> Yeah. Yeah. So, so the eighth day is actually not man-made. They they now the rabbis celebrated as they call it uh in in the Bible it's called Shini at the the uh the eighth.
Uh eighth day of of Oh my gosh, I can't believe I'm forgetting this. I'm so so stupid right now. Uh but but the the they now call it the um oh my gosh you know what if if anything I've learned I just need to sleep so I can not do this on the Monday live streams something tora that's what the modern the modern Jews call the eth day of the end of the >> because that's when they start over the Torah readings for the year.
>> Yeah. Uh that's not biblical biblical it's it's called shmini the day of the eighth day uh and it and so it's it actually the eighth day is would mean to uh biblically what we would take it to mean as Christians it's like a day outside of time after the harvest it's it represents eternity uh the rabbis because they don't know Yeshua at the moment >> they don't view how significant that that is they they just take that as that's when we we restart the annual Torah readings.
>> Also, if Jesus was born during sult, the eighth day whenever he was circumcised would be the eighth day.
>> Uhhuh.
>> Which I think >> myself.
>> Yeah.
>> And then also that you know obviously that day itself symbolizes the eternal rest for the people cuz it's >> God tabernacling with man in eternity.
God tabernacling in Sukult and then on the eighth day circumcised to now actually bring us the lamb to be slain that will then bring us the eternal rest. So, >> and also is it is it Ezekiel or or Zakaria that talks about how in in the during the messianic reign uh every nation will must uh turn up to Jerusalem to celebrate Sukkot or else their lands will not get rain.
What which which book is that in Chris?
I'm I'm so uh I think >> it's Ezekiel.
Is it Ezekiel or is it Zakaria?
>> You mean Zachchariah >> says all nations. Oh yeah, sorry.
>> Look at my subheading. Look at my subheading, Stephen. I keep changing it every time you say some weird word.
>> Not giga.
They're all of them are all these subtitings need to be read like in the voice of Hermione from Harry Potter.
>> It's Levio Leviosa.
>> That's a should be a ch at the beginning.
>> Well, no. Historically, it's a ha it's a has sound.
>> It the first sound comes from the cuff.
>> But anyway, Christian, >> how do you say that word? How would you say that word?
Triclinium.
>> Okay, that's what I thought. I thought I must be a weirdo. I was saying trlinium, but you know, there's so many words that you just only ever read and you don't hear out loud. And uh so when I was talking about the table setup, I was like, I don't know if it's a tricinium because it's not a triangle, it's a triangle.
>> That's true.
>> So I was like, this is probably a triclinium.
But to me, I was I kept saying trlinium.
>> Yeah. If if it was a if it was an element, I would assume it's triclinium.
And then if it was a shape, I would assume it's trlinium.
>> So back to Zakari, Chris, you were saying something about Zakari.
>> Gazunai.
My favorite one is like there's so many names that are not even close in the English. Like Isaiah's name, for example, is Jesus's name backwards. But you would never get that from Isaiah from the English.
>> Well, yeah. Yes. Yahoo.
>> Yeah.
>> Sounds nothing like Isaiah.
>> It sounds nothing like Isaiah. And it sounds nothing like Jesus, but it's literally Jesus's name with the first two just swapped. So just theoric.
>> Yeah. So it's salvation comes from God.
Salvation comes from Yahweh. is Isaiah and Yahosua is God is my salvation.
>> So, it's just swapping the two. They sound totally different in the English and you won't even know about it unless you looked at it in the Hebrew.
>> Well, and that's what I remember when I was a kid living near Mexico and there'd be kids named Jesus. And I was like, they people named themselves Jesus.
That's weird. But the weird thing is actually in English, anyone who's named Joshua, that's Yeshua. that Joshua is Yeshua. So, anyone in English who's named Joshua is also is technically named Jesus.
>> Uh, but we just it doesn't register to our ears that way.
>> I have Hebrew on my son's name um whenever he was born and I joked about making Hebrew.
>> I named him Gabrielle for Gabriel. And so many people either think it's it's >> Yeah. And so many people think it's a girl. He's a girl. Gabriel, Gabrielle, >> or they're like, "Oh, Gabriel." They call him Gabriel.
>> And uh so I feel bad kind of that I did that to him. But it's a great name. God is my strength. And he he totally lives up to that. I mean, >> that's a mighty I think it's a mighty warrior.
>> Mighty warrior.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Gabrielle. God God is like my my strength or my mighty my might comes from God.
And uh but it just doesn't work in English. And like my daughter, she's Sapora and we get Sephora or Cypra or all these things. And so we just call her Birdie because that's what that name means, Birdie. And uh but yeah, there's a lot of funny funny things between uh when when you go from Hebrew to Greek to English or Hebrew to Lat like James. My middle name is James, but James is actually just the Latin version of Jacob, >> which is Yakov.
>> Oh, wait. My favorite Jewish name doesn't sound like Oh, wow. Perfect timing.
>> Yeah, it's literally spelled exactly.
So, you can't >> you cannot tell a difference between James and Yakov, like Jacob, because it's the exact same letters in Hebrew.
>> So, just like >> Oh, right. Right.
>> But that went to Latin.
>> I know. Because in Hebrew, what's it like? Yakobos or >> Yakobos or something in in Greek?
>> But in in Latin, it goes to James.
>> Jacobos.
>> Yakob. Yakobus, I think. Yeah.
>> Yakobus.
>> So, what was I think Christian Godfly was going to show us, which is >> my name. No, I was just going to say the silliest one of all is from English to Spanish with James and Spanish is Santiago.
>> It's like how does that how does it sound anything like James?
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> Santiago.
>> Yeah. Santiago.
>> Which is actually Yago would be a lot closer to the Hebrew than what James became because it's Yov in Hebrew. So yeah, is is very similar.
>> And maybe son is just saint.
>> So it's just >> saint St. James.
>> Well, maybe they're on to something.
>> I was like, where is the world the Santi coming from? Because it means saint or like the holy.
>> Um that makes sense if it is literally >> St. James.
>> Yo.
>> Yeah.
>> Wasn't one of the Power Rangers? Yeah, it was Austin St. James. remember that from when I was a kid. I remember thinking that's a weird last name. St. James with like ST >> Santiago. Interesting. Anyways, this has gone such a >> Yeah, boy. I I don't even know where we were.
>> There we go. Okay, everybody that's tuning in, if you were waiting for things to go off the rails, we might not be wearing costumes, but everything's kind of >> H little St. James though, man.
>> That dude. That dude. Anyway, um I wasn't sure if we were going to go over John 14 or not today. Uh I don't know if we're going to cuz you both seem exhausted.
>> We're exhausted. There's some weirdo >> to avoid my bladder.
>> There's some weirdo who comments on every single one of my videos. Uh don't forget about Epstein. Don't forget about Epstein. When he gets to this part where it's like little St. James, which is the name of his island.
>> HE'S OH MY GOD, I'M STAYING get forget him.
>> It was his tag on 911, >> I guess. So you just never >> never forget >> never forget 911. Also, never forget.
>> Turns out uh he was a bit of a gamer and Littlest James or Little St. James was his game tag.
Yeah.
>> You know who else >> also may or may not have uh turned back on after he died and someone played some Call of Duty with it.
>> Anyway, >> who else?
>> Suspects.
>> That means suspicious.
Another person who's a big gamer was Osama bin Laden.
>> Yes.
>> And uh he had Final Fantasy collection.
>> Yeah, he has some good taste. He had Final Fantasy 7 on his laptop.
>> He also had a massive collection of hentai.
>> Yeah, dudes.
>> I know that. I've heard that. But what is it?
>> It's a Japanese adult cartoons.
>> Oh. Oh, >> yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Interesting.
>> A lot of it.
>> Yeah. Like uh Yeah. And then also that too.
>> Yeah, but kind of a given given is >> Yeah, that's just that's part for the course with those people.
>> It's lonely out there in the sand.
>> Yeah, >> when you don't have any there's no men of Alz nearby.
>> Well, you know, I've got to get the thick. I try not to be uh I try not to be uh presumptive or assumptive if that's a word. I try not to think ahead.
But when you see those those competitions where they have those goats with those uh with those jiggly butts.
>> Yes. So, so again, I don't want to I know nothing about it other than that I've seen those videos where they're at shows and they're like, "Look how jiggly my goat butt is."
>> Yeah.
>> I am I I give the benefit of the doubt to say that serves a purpose that's not what would be the stereotype, right? Can somebody please tell me that?
>> Sweet Steven.
>> Oh, sweet, sweet naive. it >> kindhearted Stephen.
>> No, I cannot tell you that. Um, mostly because I've seen uh video evidence of the contrary.
>> So um yeah, like I I don't know if I can actually say this on stream. I saw one dude preparing the goat for the um competition.
preparing the goat not for a last >> he was cleaning it quite thoroughly with his hands >> um and all the cremis >> no >> so >> wait like that >> wait so are there I don't no I just shouldn't I mean that brings up so many questions >> stop asking questions Stephen >> yeah I won't I won't do it you know >> it will only lead to more answers >> I'm just going to be straight Straight forward. Hey everybody, I'm going to go pee. There's no code words here. I'm just going to get right away from the jiggly butt goats. And uh >> he's got another stream though.
>> I'll still hear you guys. But yeah, but uh I'm going to take a I'm going to take a quick >> websites dedicated there's some websites dedicated to answering your question that I don't think you want to know about.
>> Um >> so anyway, back to the Bible.
this long pause every day.
>> What's the Bible got to say?
>> What's the Bible got to say about goats?
Um, sacrifice them. Don't breed with them.
Anyway, >> oh boy.
I got to tell the stream I'm two days ago I swam a mile and yesterday I did a whole something called a deck workout where you go through a deck of cards and do everything in the cards and then today I ran 30 minutes and did a minute and a half of sprints during that with uh in 20 second increments. So I'm tired.
I'm so tired.
I haven't been able to walk briskly in over a week um without the overwhelming urge to poop my pants. So, uh we were actually going to go to the gym >> today. Uh not not happen.
But yeah.
>> Do you have any weights in your bathroom?
>> Uh that would be a good idea just whenever I'm stuck in there.
at a time >> and try to get some kind of a pathetic workout. Luckily, as a dad, >> like I'll look at I'll flex in the mirror and be like, "How did my arms get so big?" And it's because you're throwing your kids around all the time, even if you don't have time to work out, but you don't get good cardio just naturally. So, you end up getting fatter and fatter. But that's where the dad bod comes from. You have big muscles from throwing kids on the couch and then you have a big belly from lack of sleep, cortisol, and no no aerobic exercise.
It's all anorobic because even you're like, well, I bet you run around and chase your kids. No, you find games where you don't have to move.
>> It's like, oh no, I'm a zombie. And then you like barely move because you're just tired all the time.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. Uh you your body also whenever you get have your first kid it goes into a fat reserve mode um like permanently.
So if you ever need to go hungry to feed your kids um you can't same thing happens to women. So parents are significantly fatter than non-parents even over the same age. Uh just your body it just goes through it. Another lazy game.
>> I I play a game called the sleepy dinosaur >> and like all I do is I like I'm on all fours barely crawling along and then I'll just fall on one of my kids and they have to try to climb out from underneath me and it's like the sleepy dinosaur. Yeah.
>> And so they'll team up trying to push me off. Oh >> yeah.
>> Yeah. You come up with games try to like wrestle the other one out.
>> Yeah. Yeah. You come up with games that involve just the least amount of effort on your part and the most amount of effort on their part. Kind of like what Dawa people do to us where they make up something and then you have to spend like a whole week reading books. You know it's crap because it's always crap.
But you have to go and you have to read like all these church fathers to figure out what they're talking about. Go, "Oh yeah, this is definitely crap because of this, this, this, this, and this." what they're doing to us. That's what you need to do to your kids. Play a game where you barely put in any effort and you just wear them out.
>> Yeah, you sound like a the dad on Bluey.
>> Bandit is such a goated dad.
I'd be I'm not nearly as creative or uh infused to do the types of games that Bluey um like I I'm if I could ever be like Bandit, that would be a a crazy thing.
>> Creativity and boredom are bedfellows.
So allow your family to get in a position where everybody's bored and then weird games start appearing.
>> Pretty much.
>> Yeah. Um, I was trying to think of the weird game that my daughter came up with the other day, but she just is a weird kid. I sent you the picture earlier of her like slapping me in the face with oranges. U, but she literally walked in here and said, "Daddy, I'm hungry." Orange. And then like literally just started and it wasn't just once she just kept repeating it and said, "Open, open, open." She's two. And I'm like, "Calm down, child.
It's literally bedtime. You're in your pajamas. You're not getting a cup of oranges at the moment.
But >> my kid said that her grits look sparkly when she crosses her eyes and she wants to eat magical grits. So, she crossed her eyes and she's eating the grits.
Okay. I'm glad you can have magic in your life.
>> Yeah. I do want to go over this passage in John 14.
>> John 14. That's uh that's where Muhammad's predicted, right?
>> He needs to be predicted somewhere because it's not like 7157's lying. The Quran says that he's mentioned in the Torah and the Inilial.
>> Yeah.
>> Mentioned in the Torah, just not the right Torah.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Yeah. There's a talk of a gentile prophet in the Talmud, which I think he's actually thinking he is.
>> Okay, >> I'll eventually make a video on that.
But there is enough overlap of um so there there's a belief that from Malachi on there was no prophets and whenever the end happens, whenever the Messiah comes back, prophecy will return. So that's a view within the tall mood. So, I think because he says that, "Oh, Jesus is about to come back, like the end is nigh." Because he's a doomsday rabbi, I think he thinks that he's actually the fulfillment of the Jewish belief that the prophets will return before the Messiah. Um, and he obviously thought the end was happening then. He has so many statements about the end happening immediately. Even within the Quran, you have stuff with it. uh but the hadith is just so clear that Muhammad thought the end of the world was going to happen immediately.
So because of that you can go through um not only the gentile prophet passages of the Talmud but also the um the end times passages of the Talmud and the description of what the prophecies meant to do and accomplish.
And I think he thinks that he's some form of that fulfillment.
So whenever he says that he's actually in the scriptures, I don't think he he's lying, I think he actually believes that he's wrong, obviously.
>> Yeah. Like >> I was just thinking about >> blainly obviously.
>> I was thinking about two things today that both relate to this live stream.
One is how totally ignorant Muhammad is if you just separate the Quran from everything else. And it's like it seems to be like he thinks that the only holy books are the Torah and the Injil. He's not even aware that the Injil's multiple books and that there's a whole New Testament cannon.
And and people would be like, "Well, no, he's just affirming those particular books." It's like, really? Well, then how come he says nothing about all the other books, saying they're crap? You know what I mean, >> right?
>> Like he he's speaking as though >> the rest of the Old Testament.
>> Yeah. He's speaking as though he's affirming all these prior prophets and their books and then he can only name the two books. One of them's a bunch of I mean they're both really a collection of books together. He doesn't seem to know what their origin really is. He seems to think that the inial was given to Jesus and then you know confusing Miriam and Mary uh and Mary putting Hmon with Pharaoh putting a Samaritan with Pharaoh thinking that Pharaoh crucified people like it just goes on and on and then I've started to go through >> yeah and Gideon makes up and every single time he says there's something in the Torah it's not there like 911 where he says that jihad is in both.
>> And I've seen Muslims respond to this. I need to see some of the responses, but it's like how do you respond because it's not really jihad.
>> It's in the oral stuff though. Every single time other than maybe one, every single time he says you'll find this in the scriptures, uh it's not in the Bible, but it is in the oral tradition he's pulling from.
>> Interesting. So I have that within the book. Um they'll break that down and go through that. But even the zipp um so within um sort of seven you have the description of oh well this is the description of the people of the book.
>> Um and then you just don't find it >> even a little bit. So you have the description of the prophet and of his people and neither of those you find but you do find it within the oral tradition vaguely. It's not usually one to one.
Although there are sometimes where it is one to one. Um like obviously in um 532 whenever he quotes the the rabbis uh even all the other illusions that he makes, it's still like you can you can find a loose approximation to what he's talking about. So it's just whatever source he's pulling from is a slightly different worded than the sources we have written down.
But he's obviously getting it from the Jews and Christians around him.
>> Uh, another thing, >> another thing that was in the back of my mind, but my mic wasn't working was when we were talking about how John isn't correcting the synoptics, but he is giving more details. When I was on my run today, I was thinking about how in the synoptics there's false witnesses accusing Jesus of saying just I'll destroy this temple and rebuild it in three days. And then in John it like gives actually the cleared up quote where he's saying you know that he's the temple you know destroy this temple it'll be rebuilt in three days. That's a perfect example where it's like the synoptics will like you know obliquely refer to something that happened and then John gives it more uh resolution.
>> Right.
That's pretty much my view as well for the the creations. Um, Stephen's back from his life.
>> I uh I do these I I I end up seeing the seeing the family and my wife is a is a tuning in and and my daughter is tuning in and out and so we get on these different we we were talking about sleep apnea and all sorts of things. Uh I think Chris >> Oh, your wife was watching that.
>> I need to look into that. I need to The only thing I was saying is there's no way like I don't sleep at home. There's no way I'm going to be able to sleep in a in a in a lab. They're I'm gonna make so many nurses and doctors so annoyed because I'm going to be there and they're going to be like, "Hey, go to sleep already." And I'm like, "I'm sorry, I can't."
And then uh so I think my best bet is to get one of those new fangled Apple Watches that can uh I'm not going to get a professional diagnosis, but I can at least >> see for myself and maybe I can get a a black market seat machine.
Christian, you missed that insurance thing.
>> Yeah, y'all are making references. I'm like, a lab? What are you talking about?
References and inside jokes. Y'all had a whole friendship in the time it took me to get on here.
Well, the first 15 minutes of the stream was a little bit of a tangent where we were uh I I walked through how your chronological age for ECGs versus your um predicted age by AI can actually help determine how healthy you are. And then I mentioned that my current um project I'm working on for work is sleep apnea.
So, prediction via ECG on whether or not you have sleep apnnea without having to do a sleep study. So they can just have a recording and then that can tell you with a certain confidence. Currently sitting around a 77 AU um which is not horrible. That's not you know perfect.
>> It's better than nothing. It's better than what we currently have.
>> Um >> well you know what Chris is I've been asked several times by doctors when when I go to to see them because because like anxiety is that's like my main health problem. And it's not >> I think people have this idea of anxiety is like, oh, you're you're uh you're preoccupied with worry about this or that. I'm I'm not that way. I'm I I mean, even up to this last one, we were talking about my job and everything, how that sorted itself out. I don't sit around and and think and I've had like with my dad and everything, all sorts of traumatic experiences, but they that my mind is not preoccupied with those things. Uh, and so I think a lot of people when they hear anxiety, they think that like you're a worry wart or like you're just sitting down and like at dinner with your kids and you're thinking, "Yeah, but I mean tomorrow we might not be able to afford dinner. What do we do?"
>> I'm a pretty laid-back person as far as as that goes. I didn't used to be, but I am. Uh, and and so like even right now like my we my my car is pretty much dead and I don't know what's going to happen, but I'm perfectly comfortable with just God's going to God knows I need to get to work and to the store. He'll a car will turn up and and actually how I got that car was was that way. The car I currently have. So I don't have this like uh this this psychological uh preoccupation with worry or anything like that. that I'm pretty laidback.
My anxiety is more of a uh it's it's a it must be like a subconscious thing.
Like one time I went to the emergency room, I thought I was having a heart attack.
And I walk in and the the lady at the front desk in the emergency room, she goes, "Oh, okay. What's what's what's the issue?" And I said, "I think I think I'm having a heart attack. I had chest pain. I couldn't breathe." And then she looks at me and I was I think I was like 23 or 24 and she was like, "Okay, fill out this paperwork and blah blah blah and go sit over there." And I was like, "Wait a minute, lady. I'm having a heart attack. Like, you're lucky I made it here." I thought I was dying. But then we were when we were waiting cuz we had to wait for like I mean it probably was a lot shorter than I feel like it was cuz I was having an anxiety attack. But in the meantime, before they called me back, uh I was my wife was with me and I started talking about my dad and I started crying and after I cried, I felt completely better.
>> And I was like, "Oh, we I I mean, I don't they don't need to call us back. I can go home."
>> What kind of dreams do you have when you dream?
>> Well, I just actually had a dream last night about my brother.
Mhm.
>> I I have some pretty I I've never actually had any good dreams about my dad. I I have a lot of dreams I have are typical, I'd say.
Uh, I do have some some significant dreams where it's usually my dad is is is there and he's angry and he's drunk >> and then >> or also though the the last dream I had about him, he was fine and it caused me within the dream to say this must be a dream because this is weird. Like I I I thought my dad was dead but now he's here and everything's cool.
So I I think it it's it's a lot of subconscious stuff.
>> Uh but uh and and so that's why like Chris, we were talking about at the beginning of the stream, like I didn't sleep last night because >> I even put myself to bed like a good boy. I mean, it was still too late for >> for responsible people. It was like 1:30.
>> My daughter >> Yeah. My daughter goes, "You're going to bed at 1:30?"
like, "Good job, Baba." And I was like, "Yeah, I'm trying. I'm trying." And then, >> well, no wonder you have anxiety.
>> Well, I fell asleep for 10 minutes and I woke up with an anxiety attack. I I thought I was suffocating and my heart's beating and like I couldn't breathe >> and then I was like, "Okay, I'm used to this kind of like it it comes in stages, but it's not usual that it'll inter interrupt my sleep." But so last night it did. And so then I went I was like okay took me about a half hour to recover to be able to go back to sleep.
Then it happened again and then it just happened all night to the >> that's your subconscious trying to talk to you. So that's how your subconscious talks to you is through your dreams.
>> Like uh and a lot of times it'll be a metaphor for what you actually need to do. So there was one time when I'd gone a long time without visiting my mom. I hadn't even been thinking about it consciously. But then I dreamed that I was in her garden and all the fruits were overripe and were rotting on the plants and I felt sad and I woke up and I go, "What the hell was that?" And I thought about a long time and it was where I had neglected my relationship with her. And so it was like a garden that hadn't been tended to and hadn't been drawn from. I hadn't been harvesting from.
A common dream with me is where I'll be with a group of friends from like so in my 20s is probably some of the funnest times of my life where like I worked at a Christian camp and had really good community. And so I'll dream about times when I've been in really good community like when I was in band in high school or when I was in the bagpipe band or whenever I was at working at this camp. And it's like my subconscious longing for the deep community connections I used to have.
>> But yeah, that's just your Yeah, you got like a you have daddy issues. No, you but you have a >> you just have a deep insecurity because you have that reliance in a father figure, but you could never really rely on him and your subconscious is trying to figure it out and so you can't ever >> Oh, yeah. Definitely.
>> Yeah.
>> So, I don't dream. What does that mean of me?
You might be Jung would say that your subconscious and conscious is pretty integrated and I think that's easy to believe because you don't have a filter and so there's no like it's like your subconscious doesn't need to communicate anything to you because it's already integrated into your consciousness. So there's no there's no inner voice trying to get out. It's just everything's already blah.
And I have a couple dreams every year.
Um, usually when I just go to sleep and I wake up grumpy. Um, so it's like a time machine for me. Um, so I just >> I did have a dream though of that I talked about with Chris vaguely, but when I was 17 years old, >> I had a dream that the and I even wrote it wrote it down and and re revisit it every so many years because it it see it seemed so important, but I could never make any sense of it. But in this dream, it was me and two other people, and we were in this vast expanse, like kind of like a parking lot, but I I don't think it was paved. And it was like there was three animals that were lined up uh that were like they were significant. It was it was a hyena and it was a white wolf and a black lion.
>> And in the dream, God assigned me to the black lion.
>> Interesting. And I I I just thought, well, there's no such thing as black lions, so that's weird. What? And so lion obviously has a lot of biblical meaning, but like black tends to be like not necessarily biblically, but just culturally like a negative connotation.
There goes Chris. Yeah. So, I was talking about cuz my daughter was and I were talking about Joseph a couple Shabbats ago and about dreams and how they they can be like they can mean things. And then she goes, "Baba, have you ever thought about Chris's logo?"
>> And I said, "No."
And and so then I was like, "Is that what it is?" And so then I was like furiously going through my journals to try try to find the the entry where I wrote about it and I because I know I had made a drawing and I'd love to find it. It's somewhere in my uh my impressive bookshelf that's out of sight but I have so many journals but that was when I was 17 years old and there was this there was this black line and so Chris's logo is it's not necessarily I guess it's not black per se. I don't know though. I mean, it looks like a black line.
>> It's black and green.
>> So, she was Yeah, she it's it's what's the word? Uh, black uh presenting >> lotto line, do you think? And I was like, >> I didn't think I never thought about it, but that would be something that that'd be that's it's enough though that it stands out. So, you know, we're way far away from John and I apologize to everybody that tuned in and also for for both of you guys that uh my brain is jelly right now and uh happy to be here, but I apologize in case someone tuned in and said, "Hey, we're going to get all this cool information about drone." I mean, >> I don't think anyone watches this show to get cool information.
>> Hey, come on now.
>> Not Not since we joined. Yeah.
>> Not not since I fixed my mic.
>> Uh, speaking of cool information, this Friday, I think I'm actually going to start early. So, like 700 p.m. this Friday, I'm going to be giving a four to five hour presentation on Jesus being God in the Bible. So, we're going to go through >> and all of it. Uh, it's a bit of a it's a bit of a a promotion here.
Chris is Chris knows what he's talking about and he's got it down. And and besides that, the most important thing for me and what I would say for any Christian is Chris will show you the text. So Chris will say, "Here's this because of this." And that's what that's what I love about Chris. And that's actually why I know Chris because Chris has a video of uh should Christians keep that's not not quoting the title but it's should Christians keep the the law of Moses and my first video of Chris that I saw was Rebecca's three which again I will say even to this day that was over a year ago to this day that is the best and it's I think it's only 40 minutes 40 or so minutes long so it's not even too long, but it is the best uh reputation of the idiotic argument that Rebecca was 3 years old. And so I saw that and I was like, man, this guy knows what he's talking about. And so then I went through his his video, his other videos, and I saw, oh, there we go. There's one on keeping the law of Moses because obviously I'm a slippery judizer by a joke, but by lifestyle I'm a Torah observant Christian. And so I was like, if there's anybody that could change my mind on this topic, it would be Chris.
After after I saw what he did with the Rebecca video, I was like, he knows what he's talking about. He's doing. And so what it ended up being in that video is Chris was addressing actual Judaizers, legalists. So he did a great job on that. But in from my perspective, there was a lot of um blending. I if if that's what Chris was addressing, but if you're someone who does keep the law, there were certain things in there that I was thinking, well, I don't think that holds up this or that. And so that's how I ended up contacting Chris, and this was so cool of Chris, which is I just wrote him. I I don't know if it was through the Islamic Dilemma Discord or if it was through YouTube, but he was like, "Yeah, let's we'll talk." And then we had like a sixh hour. We started we started at uh must have been like 10 o'clock my time.
It was like 5 in the morning on a weekday. On a weekday >> when when uh when >> we went until 4:00 a.m. Yeah. Yeah.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
>> So, and >> us meeting each other. We ended up going till like you had us go to work.
>> That's how long we talked from that.
Chris has kind of a a lawyer personality trait, which is like as long as someone's not being rude, you do not care at all if they believe like you >> because like, you know, you're just used to being in a you're used to being in a position where everyone in the room disagrees with you, you know, as a lawyer or whatever.
>> But he he has that same mentality.
>> Yeah. He has the same mentality where he does not care.
>> Yeah.
>> Mhm.
>> That like y'all became good friends by a disagreement.
That's like >> Exactly. Exactly.
So, I'm excited for this because I think this will be a very useful video coming up because I've already I've already had these talks uh alongside of Chris and also seen him argue them without me there. this this Friday. This will be a very beneficial video for anybody who ever uh h has any wonders or also just wants to uh you know add an extra 17 tools to their tool belt for when this topic comes up. Everybody tune in this Friday cuz this will be a very good thing.
>> Oh, and it even looks pretty.
>> That looks awesome. working on the >> so like going through the the actual Greeks the the in context of the Greek but like hey you know like what are we what are we going through here for all the ego and me yeah so like even I brought this up earlier for the ego but this is literally ego ego kios and um in the text it's ani yahweh >> and he replaces it with ego ego keros >> so like and then you know thus saith so you know I Yahweh speak righteousness and replacing the divine name and even with this honey. Uh so there's a lot of really there's a lot of really stuff with this but >> oh boy this is going to be really good.
This is going to be very good.
>> Yeah. How Jesus actually uses Isaiah, how he uses all of these topics. And um yeah. So, I have a lot of stuff on this that we'll be going through. Um, it's going to be long and good, but >> it's super important though because well, first of all, every cult denies highristologology.
>> And so, I have a I've already filmed this video. I have a video where I interview the devil and he's basically like lazy. And so, I'm like, well, you're so busy. How do you get everything done? And he's like, "Well, I basically just do the same thing over and over." I was like, "Well, what's some of the things you do?" I deny high christologology. That's like true. And uh or likenosticism, he's just one of many gods, which is another way of denying highristologology because he's not on top. Uh the in Islam, they say they affirm, >> isn't it innosticism?
Oh, sorry. I think the delay is I think I got ahead. I didn't mean to interrupt.
Oh, I was going to ask is is is another like major tenant ofnosticism where there's like this evil god of the Old Testament and Jesus comes as like the to save us from that wicked evil god.
>> Yeah. More or less. So all the different there's a whole bunch of different sex ofnosticism, but that would be kind of I would say like allnosticism believes this this world is somehow a lie and that you need to have knowledge of the play Roma to escape.
>> A whole bunch like the Sethians and Orites, they believe Jesus was one of the aons of the play Roma that came and gave us information to set us free from the demiurge. He's the evil god of the Bible, right?
Okay. And that's really common.
>> Exactly. The Garden of Eden all over again kind of. Did God really say he just doesn't?
>> Well, they even they even have the snake is a good guy. Like in a lot of Sethian texts, the snake's a good guy.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay.
So, the one you were looking for is this one specifically. Uh Mari, >> that's like a halfbaked nasticism. It's like where it's half halfway there.
Okay, >> this is the one where Yahweh fights uh Jesus. Like Yahweh is the old creator of the Old Testament and then Jesus is the new deity and they go to war. So that's this nonsense. Um, >> so interestingly enough, Chris, I would argue that the anti- anti-TRA view in present day Christianity is a is an offspring of that same line of reasoning. Whereas the Sabbath was a punishment or the law was a bad thing that was put on the Jews for their disobedience. And I think there's a negative view of the law that like even you, Chris, who you're you're very pro uh benefiting from the wisdom of the law, but but I would argue that the >> you're you're the best of the other side of my argument because there would be no view that we shouldn't do the law if certain heresies hadn't come in from the beginning that kind of made a trajectory for us to get to a separation from it.
So that that again is uh some foreshadowing to mine and Chris's cheeky showdown which keeps getting keeps getting further and further back because it turns out we really don't disagree on very much at all. And so it would just be more of a it'd be a funny discussion.
But but I do think like I just like with tonight like I I feel very confident uh John John is talking about the the the Passover the the the the supper that was had in John was on the night of the 14th going into darkness of the 15th of Aviv.
It it was they Jesus had the Passover meal where they ate the sacrificial lamb at dinner. And uh apologies to everybody for my poor stupid jelly brain showing up not being able to succinctly uh go through all of that. But uh we we we what everyone here is in uh good hands with Chris when it comes to uh Chris and Christian when it comes to coming uh to Jesus and knowing Jesus. And I would say I'm just adding a a little bit more of a uh I'm I would be the Gospel of John to Chris's synoptic gospel reading of uh I'm adding the I'm adding the You don't want to be saved by the skin of your teeth.
>> No, I'm John. Pick another gospel. That was mine until I spent my whole day with my kids.
my kids. It's like every Did I tell y'all this story where they started fighting over the tooth fairy? My six-year-old lost her tooth. And she's like, "I can't wait to get a present from the tooth fairy." And then my two-year-old was like, "No, my corn fairy." It's like, "What?" And then the six-year-old was like, "No, my tooth fairy." And then the 2-year-old, "No, my corn fairy." It's like, "What even is the corn fairy? Why are you arguing with this 2-year-old over nothing?
Back to your deal on highristologology, though. They all say, "We respect Jesus more than you do." It's like, "Okay, really?" Well, then listen to all these things he says that tell us what he really thinks about himself. Well, he never says, "I'm God. Worship me." Okay.
Yeah, but he does say, "I am over and over."
>> Yeah. He does walk. He does show it through his actions. He does play God with his actions.
>> Yeah. He says explicitly, hey, honor me as you honor the father.
>> Yeah.
>> Is that worship?
>> And what's funny is they try to quote that as a low christologology segment and they'll quote that out of context.
>> I called Kora on this. She did it on Twitter. One of them, I don't remember.
It was one of the ninjas. I don't remember.
>> I saw that. I saw that. That was good.
There's a couple of ninjas and they just all say the same stuff.
>> Well, you know what's sad though?
>> Well, not sad. I guess it's more kind of infuriating.
>> They know they know they're it's it's like this is lowhanging fruit arguments.
They're just picking off the people that that aren't really Christians to begin with where it would be like like for maybe like a an atheist, you know, they see them like, "Oh, yeah. Yeah, sounds like Christianity is pretty stupid." I mean, even when she brought up the Bible says bugs have four legs.
>> Yeah.
>> I was thinking about this earlier before the stream started. I was out with my daughter and and she saw a moth and because especially growing up I loved bugs and and so when I even even as a kid when I read that I didn't think the Bible is so stupid that it doesn't even know how many legs bugs have. I just recognized that this must be a classification thing. I mean like you know most if not everybody in the Bible would think we're stupid for considering a whale to be a mammal.
>> Yeah.
>> Because >> because it's a you know it's a big it's a big fish is what it is >> for them the category.
>> Yeah.
>> Exactly.
>> Right. And and so like there's no way that when when the Bible's talking about the things that creep on four legs that they actually mean it literally as fourlegged creatures. You I mean how insane would you have to be to look at most of the bug world and say, "Oh yeah, those are four-legged things." They didn't they didn't actually think that.
And there's no way that >> they saw bugs, lady, >> right? They saw bugs more than we see bugs. Save your ninja stars for something that's actually wrong. Yeah.
>> So the the these arguments are are >> well and plus their book affirms that book over and over which makes it so much worse.
>> They look it's like a person walking around stepping on rakes that slap them in the face all day. That's what these ninjas are like.
>> Y'all get off of Twitter. Y'all look like Y'all look like idiots.
If any of you guys ever see that screen, >> see, that's a way better classification from Wonder Bucket. They thought moths were undead butterflies. That makes sense. Don't you feel like if you cast a healing spell on a moth, it would do damage?
I do. I've played enough Final Fantasy to >> You know, it's funny because there we had a moth in our house and she told me, "Baba, there's a wasp. You need to get the wasp. And so I ran in thinking, "Oh, I need to get the wasp." It was just a big moth. And and so to her, she doesn't know the difference between moths and butterflies, but right now she doesn't need to because I she doesn't know what a moth is. So I just told her she likes butterflies. So I said, "Oh, it's just kind of like a it's a butterfly." I said, "It can't bite you. It can't pinch you. We're good. We can just leave the moth in the corner of the of the ceiling. It's fine." And because she doesn't know what a moth is.
And for me to make the the distinction would just cause her a lot of more questions. And it's a butterfly. And she goes, "Oh, a butterfly. Well, I think tomorrow it'll be blue."
He's like, "Yeah, okay." You know, that's good enough for right now. It's not a wasp. It's not a danger. So, >> I can't tell you the difference between a moth and a butterfly because you wouldn't comprehend it, but it's for all you need to know, it's a butterfly.
And so >> such a great example of like communication and different levels of communication. Like my kid pointed at a garden spider in a web and was like, "Why is that a spider?" It's like, "How do you answer a question?" It's like saying, "Why is a a why does a equal a?"
And so I was just like, because it's got six legs and it's in a web, >> you know, but of course there's all kinds of exceptions to that. Some spiders don't have webs. Sometimes they're not in their web. Some maybe have I guess they all have eight legs.
>> Yeah, that's part of what makes >> that's part of it. But yeah, >> right. Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> But they all have egg sack or web sacks.
So even if they don't like like a wolf or huntsman like even if they don't >> Yeah. They have spinets I guess.
Yeah.
>> In any event, it's a starting place and all of our references and definitions are starting places that have been grown on, you know, >> right?
>> Be for >> it. It does no good for a kid for them to go, why is that a spider? And then I start rattling off the DNA sequencing, you know.
>> Correct. Correct. Just too much.
>> Well, that's kind of what I was getting at with the I mean, it's been Moses.
It's been like 3,500 years. And in all that time that that the Jews and then after them even the Christians have been uh maintaining the scriptures at no point someone said uhoh well the Bible says bugs have four legs but we can see that like centipedes have 20 legs and like it's a very silly argument that there's take serious dumb it makes me want to catch a June bug pull off two of its legs Take a picture.
Put it up there. It's just like gaslighter.
What are you talking about? Bugs have four legs. Every bug I've ever seen.
It's just like meter at that level of dumb.
>> It's like you you want you want to argue with people that stupid. You want to act like it's that stupid. I will meet you right there.
>> Let's go.
>> Just take off the middle legs of all the bugs. I have six and then you just >> or like two side >> make it asymmetrical just three legs over here one leg on the right >> they just keep walking in circles.
>> Yeah.
>> It's kind of sick. When I was a kid we used to catch June bugs and have them like pets and we would tie a little string to one of their legs and let them fly around until that leg fell off and then we would retie it on the next leg.
Don't look at me like that, Chris. You said you're tied to the legs.
>> Yeah, but we You guys are in the south too though, right? You get those big uh Japanese beetles >> that are like you know >> June bugs >> the palm of your hand. You Yeah. Yeah.
June bugs are kind of like they're all in the same They're in the scarab family, but but there's those ones that the big green beetles are southerners.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay. for us. It's up here. It's brown.
>> My uh >> the brown ones.
>> Kids, another classification with bugs is, is this a good guy or a bad guy bug?
Because there's good guys and bad guys.
>> That's a >> Yeah, >> she was scared of June.
>> She sent me a picture.
She was sitting out on the back porch and she's like, "This flying ant won't leave me alone." And it was it was a wasp. I said, "Well, that's a wasp. It's not a flying ant. You you should you know >> that's a bad guy bug.
>> It's a big >> Yeah, it's a bad guy bug, right? Flying ants are pretty much harmless. They're just in their reproductive state. But but that's not a flying ant. That's a wasp and that's you don't want to be around that. So good guy bad guy is a is a good that's a good way to put it.
That's that's a good designation.
>> Well, she was scared of June bugs. She was like, "Is this a bad guy bug or a good guy bug?" I'm like, I think it's a good guy, but it's so dumb. It's real dumb. It's It's not going to hurt.
>> He could, you know, he could fall victim to some to some bad theology.
>> They'll just like Yeah. It's like the good, the bad, and the stupid. This is the classification of a book. This book will just like sit and fly against a a wall over and over.
>> Yeah.
>> So, >> yeah.
>> Question for the audience.
Does this bug >> green mantises do they have four legs or six?
>> Show that to the ninja.
>> That's that's four legs and two arms.
>> Those look like four legs and two arms to me.
>> I'm just saying, you know.
>> Yeah, just copy and paste that into the comments. You don't have to say anything.
>> The bic the biblical designation for what's kosher among the bug world.
There's there's only one type of bug that's edible >> and it's it's the bugs that have legs for hopping.
>> So it says they have the legs for going, they have two legs for so crickets, locusts, uh grasshoppers, those are kosher. You can eat those. Every other kind of bug is not kosher. And that's the designation that God gives is they have the the hopping legs. So that so even they're they're like they have the two or they have the four legs for walking and then they have the hopping legs. So again though, it just can't be it can't be as simple as that because what kind of well everybody knows what I'm going to say, but like yeah, bugs there is no way that the biblical authors meant literally that bugs have four legs. It it means what what I envision is like how we look at every other animal pretty much that walks on the earth. I mean, are there actually are there animals that are that are predominantly upright walkers besides humans? I don't think I can't think of any. I mean, even things like mircats and uh kangaroos, they still end up >> using their forearms as >> Bigfoot. Feel like kangaroos still >> hoppers though.
>> Well, Bigfoot my uh >> in my lineage. Well, kangaroos use their tails primarily, but they don't really use their front paws nearly as much as they would use their tails. Um, >> like if they're eating, they'll they'll like lunge forward for it, but most of the time it's on their feet and tail.
>> There has I feel like there's at least one.
>> That's what I was thinking about carrying something like spider monkeys, but they still would use their tail.
still walk >> and they also still walk >> a lot >> on their forearms still.
>> Those birds.
>> They only have two.
>> They only have the option of two.
>> Uh >> yeah.
Hm. Well, anyway, I guess what we've come to the conclusion is that Kora showed all of us here that Christianity is false because bugs don't have four legs. So, there goes everything else in the Bible.
>> Yeah, >> true.
>> My my man has been strengthened.
>> But stars, but stars are definitely missiles to shoot down Jyn. Um, and they're definitely influencable.
>> All Muslims are on the backbone.
>> It's like a nerd kid at school who's just like overweight with a Star Trek shirt trying to bully people.
>> That's what it is. She's trying to play like she's a new atheist from 2008 and she's got a book that's >> That's what it is.
>> A thousand times stupider than anything in the Bible. It's like your book is so dumb.
>> It's so dumb.
>> Like how could anyone feel threatened by you?
>> Dip them in honey mustard or something.
>> Hey, have y'all ever eaten grasshoppers?
>> My my uh daughter has I I was too chicken and this is what's so weird about me cuz I used to eat shrimp >> chocolate covered >> which is just a sea. It's a sea grasshopper basically.
>> Disgusting.
My favorite food before I started keeping them up.
>> I would eat shrimp, uh, crab, ham. Those are my favorite foods. And bacon.
>> And >> you winced. You winced when you said bacon. No wonder you have anxiety. No wonder you have bad dreams.
>> Everything that gave you joy.
I had I've eaten a bunch of grasshoppers, but you have to pull their legs off because they'll get stuck in your throat. The jumping legs.
>> Yeah.
>> So, I only eat I only eat four-legged bugs.
>> Okay. I'm just going to tell the story people.
>> Are we getting back to a typical uh what we would say one of the stereotypical in these streams is are we going to poop or body hair?
>> Okay. If you have a weak stomach, go ahead and hit mute.
weak stomach, then hit mute. Chris, tell your story and then I'm gonna get off because I need to go to sleep.
>> I'm an old man.
>> So, there was a woman admitted to the ER.
>> Um, and >> is this a parable or is this real?
>> This is real. She ate at Subway and she kept having for like weeks she kept having something like she felt like she was choking and it was like itchy sensation and all that. Um, and she couldn't figure it out. So she eventually went to the hospital and um whenever she was examined it was found that she had a cockroach leg stuck around and impaled into her uh >> because if you ever seen the cockroach legs on the backhind legs they have these spikes.
>> They have like barbs.
>> So apparently >> they have barbs. Yeah. So that barb got stuck on her throat from eating the the lunch meat from Subway.
>> And that's So, not worth it.
>> It's kind of like >> maybe for the >> maybe for Pop-Tart.
>> Have you guys seen the spider Pop-Tart?
>> Uhuh. I had Taco Bell with my friends recently, a couple days ago, and I didn't get sick. And I was like, "Wow, maybe maybe if I just eat a small amount, I'm okay." And then about three hours later, it's like I was like, "Oh, there it is.
I've gotten nowhere. I'm gonna see this spider pop-tart and then I gotta go. I'm so tired.
>> Yeah. And I probably I'll try to go too, even though I I won't, but I would I would like to think that I would.
>> I searched spider in Pop-Tart found and it's all just like >> Spider-Man Web.
>> Yeah. Put real spider in Pop-Tart or something.
>> Yeah.
>> So, this one um scarred me for a very long time. That's all I can think about.
Um, I thought it was the entire when I was a kid.
>> Put in spider pop-tart lawsuit. If there was a lawsuit, it'll have the right the correct picture.
>> That's a great tip for the future.
>> There was uh some story they did that on average there's 20 rodent tears in every jar of peanut butter.
>> And I remember hearing that and thinking there I'll never eat peanut butter again.
I told that.
>> Yeah. And and I forgot about that until just I think yesterday when I told that to my I should not cuz my daughter is like I could have probably had my daughter on my own based off of how she came out. She she has like none of her mom in her. She's just all me. And so I I said that as a joke and she was like, "Wait, what?" And then it's like I should not have brought that up cuz you know it's actually not that it's not that gross. I mean I'd rather eat a rat hair than a cockroach leg.
And uh so that's the that's the uh the that's the title of this stream. Chris, what would you rather eat? A rat hair or a cockroach leg? And then people figure it.
He always he leaves so abruptly.
>> I straight up can't find it. The internet has buried this with stupid AI photos and then the Spider-Man. I wonder if they did um this limited edition Pop-Tart >> to just bury the results.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. of the spider as I just straight up can't find it anymore, but that image was all over the internet like 17 years ago.
>> Oh wow.
>> So what was it? Was it a spider embedded in the Pop-Tart insides or >> Yeah. So within the filling >> that reminds me of the rooster head and the chicken nugget >> crunched and then they pulled it apart.
>> Um >> Oh, >> so they took a bite of the spider itself. It had a weird crunch in it.
They looked at it, noticed it was something black inside of a strawberry Pop-Tart, and then opened it up and they they >> It was a picture of the um like split in half Pop-Tart with uh part of the spider missing >> and it shoveled and squished.
>> And that image has lived rentree in my head >> for years.
And I straight up can't find it right now. And Google's lost the ability to find it. So, >> it's been suppressed >> on Pop, I guess.
>> It's been suppressed.
>> Big spider doesn't want you to know.
>> Big big.
>> I'm glad I'm not hungry.
>> Big spiders at work behind the scenes.
And they must be working with the you know who, the small hat people, because the small hat people want you to eat those spiders.
and the shrimp. Yeah.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> Anyway, so um yeah, this Friday I'm going to be doing um Jesus is God and I may or may not have guests. If I do have guests, I have no idea how long that stream's going to be.
>> Um if I don't have guests, that stream will probably be about three four hours.
>> But >> well, I'll be uh I'll be I'll be off and ready for Shabbat, Chris. So, uh, if you do have guests, I mean, I usually on Friday nights, I mean, I've missed Bible studies before because I was so worn out from the week. But I don't even mind to hop in and just, uh, say one silly thing and jump right back off. Or I would also though at that time of the week, I'm happy to just tune in. And like I said, like I was telling everybody earlier, Chris is going to have this. It's going to be definitive and it's going to be something that will be very uh useful and important to have as a resource. So, uh everybody everybody making available because >> it will be exhaustive like Strong's exhaustive concordance. There's no further than this. I I have full confidence in Chris that this is going to be a solid laidout case that for anybody who has any questions regarding uh the divinity of Jesus or or whether or not the Messiah was going to be a divine figure, I think this will be the uh the stream to to end the discussion on it. And so every Christian would be good whether you know it or not. Tune in and uh sharpen your blades as iron sharpens iron. Tune in and get yourself equipped to to have a ready defense for anybody that would ask you on the subject because Chris is the guy to do it.
>> Thank you. I appreciate the uh kind words. And >> and then the next week from that, Chris, I think you'll probably be at my house.
>> I will. Yes. Um, it is early on Friday, so I might be leaving Thursday and seeing you on Thursday.
>> Okay.
>> So, yeah, there's a chance I crash either at your house or in my car in your in your house. Um >> Oh, no. You can have whatever. We I mean we've got four beds in my house and a living room and everything. You you you'll have a bed and you'll have dinner as well.
>> I will have Okay.
>> Or a midnight snack. A midnight snack or breakfast or whatever time you end up showing up. You will be fed and slept.
>> Okay. Breakfast is probably going to be the most likely a midnight snack. But >> I'll be coming in probably 10 or 11.
That's all I'll say. Oh, >> okay. So, that's like that's like second dinner for me. So, you can have second dinner and maybe a midnight snack and then a breakfast to send you off and then you'll leave with a a box full of aut coffee.
Yes, I'm very excited to hand out all coffee and people, >> which by the way will be. Now, I know the novelty of the of the label is fun, but I guarantee that the coffee that I'm going to include in there is going to be top grade. I mean, it will be coffee that if you don't like if you don't like it, then then you don't like coffee. And if you don't like coffee, you'll probably also like this coffee. So that'll be a test for you, Chris, because you don't like coffee.
>> Well, it's too bitter for me. My sense of taste is too tuned to bitterness.
>> So, this particular coffee that I've got in mind will be a it's an Ethiopian coffee and it'll be uh it has it mostly has like a berry flavor. The lady has Yes, the lady has spoken. And that's Do not insult the lady of the house, Chris. I will hold you accountable and you'll have to do penance.
>> Oh, I never would. Yeah, I'm secretly scared of her.
>> I'm actually I was thinking about this this week. I was like, "Oh my gosh, Chris is going to be here soon and this is where I'm streaming." And it's funny because it looks it looks good from your perspective, but if you were to see around like you got a bit of a taste on uh last uh t Monday or Tuesday, it's like this when when I show you Chris, I I'll give you a peek into here. and you'll be like, "What?
Are you okay? What are you doing?"
>> So, we have uh >> oh, >> all that on the ground still. Um, no.
Granted, most of the >> There's a lot less beer cans than I was imagining. I thought there would be like 40 like bush lights.
>> Those are all like >> health pills and there's my how to draw manga and, you know, other random tidbits in there. But I mean, the rest of my room is pretty much clean, but I still just don't have uh Yeah, I know. I don't have like the the takeout everywhere and um rats crawling around my baseboards like a lot of the the big streamers, but no, my room is not currently tidy.
So, you're not going to scare me with being untidy. I've got like 16 guitars at the ready in this current layout that I'm in that I mean there's an amp over here, but it's it's this is my like this is my habitat. It's uh it's it's mutable. I can make it do whatever it needs to do when it needs to do it.
So, but you will laugh because I mean like Well, you'll see. You'll see, Chris. I I'll I'll actually Yeah, >> I'll leave it up to you. I'll I'll leave some things in suspense, but I think you'll get a kick out of this this zany setup of mine.
>> Uh, I'll have you make me some of the zoot coffee. Uh, so it's like properly made cuz if I make it, it's going to suck. So, >> yeah.
>> Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. That Yeah, I can actually Yeah, we've got a really good coffee maker. I'll I'll make you zut espresso and zut brewed coffee. But you know what though? When we term it like that, >> that doesn't sound very good at all.
>> I will make you good coffee. The zoot will be we'll leave for the label, but the actual coffee itself, not zoot coffee.
>> Hey, Eduardo. Um, we're about we're about to hop off. But if you ever want to do a stream together, uh, let me know. I'd be down to >> apologetics. I've heard about >> I've heard that name so many times.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> Great dude. Love him. Um, if you ever want to go over the tomudic dilemma or the I know you don't really focus on the Islam stuff, but if you ever wanted to do anything on that, I'd be more than happy to. Oh, I guess you do. you've done sermons with uh Avery on it. So if you want to go through the So I would love your opinion. I I mean I I want as many Jews involved in the project as well. Um but with your background as the the messianic stuff, I would love your opinion on the Talmud side of the Quran.
Um so if you ever want to go through that >> is radar apologetics is he is he one like me? Is he a Torah observant Christian?
>> He's uh he's a rabbi. uh in New York for a Messianic congregation.
>> Oh, okay. So, maybe where they do it not they don't they don't necessarily argue that you should do it, but they do it because they say it's good to do it.
Would that be an accurate uh >> you guys are a lot closer together than me and you are.
>> Okay. Okay.
>> He observes the festivals of the Sabbath and all that. Yeah. So you guys will get along pretty well with uh the Sabbath keeping and all the festival talk and all that.
>> Yeah, >> cuz I've heard that.
>> Are you planning on zooting Chris while he visits?
>> What are you?
>> Oh, wait. A question for my own wife.
again. Again, >> I tried to have a certain level of decorum and then you do >> No. So, it's a definitive No, I will not. Now, I may infuse Chris with the uh with the scriptural >> the energy of 30 men.
>> Yes. The energy of 30 men. Not in the zut sense though. And I think that's a very Yes. Oh, boy. LA.
>> Oh boy.
>> Anyway.
>> Anyway, >> oh my god, >> it's a good time to end the stream.
>> Yeah, I have to attend to another live stream and uh it's been uh what if I'm seeing three hours and 20 minutes and I think actually I don't feel as bad as last night. I think I will be able to sleep tonight. So that's good.
So, what time is it for me? 12:53. Not too bad. Not too bad.
>> 1:00 a.m.
>> Yeah. Not too bad >> for my old crusty self. Chris, maybe I'll send you my uh my my Apple Watch readings and you can tell me, Stephen, you're going to die in two years, so maybe you should try to seek out some life insurance.
You have an extended QT such and such and such or whatever whatever they said on mine. Uh >> oh, that's not okay. Do you wait to QT duration? I >> mean, it's not great.
>> Yeah. Well, I'm not surprised.
>> Yeah, >> they they they said they couldn't figure out why, but they said it's there and and uh they don't look good. And I I went through an episode of Aphib two years ago.
Uh >> Aphib, >> which also Aphib, I went into Aphib. They were going to shock me, but then they put uh something in my IV that uh what's that called?
>> Re not chronic.
>> It was perigosimal.
If that's how you say the word par.
>> Okay.
>> It I I went into aphib and >> stress induced.
>> I don't think it was stress ind. It was I think paradoxismal.
There we go. That's probably what it is.
They have no reason. They don't know why I went into Aphib, >> right? But I'd been I had been saying like if if I if I like I I'm I used to be very athletic and I would do some like very uh physically strenuous things. But at a certain point my heart would start to go into like a not it was not beating correctly. And I always tell people >> hey I would make the joke I'd use oldtimey language. I said I got a bum ticker.
And then finally uh two years ago it went into like I was just sitting at work at a desk and then my heart rate went up to 208 BPM and it felt really bad and and usually I'm used to that happening once in a while would go like and then I go I'd lose my breath and then it would stop. But this time it did it and then it kept going and then it was like for like 3 hours I think it was do it was at 208 BPM and then I went so I went to the emergency room think I was dying and then they put an IV in me and they put something in there.
>> Uh cardiover is that what it's called?
>> Yeah. It felt really bad.
That's why I thought I was dying.
And then I even made the joke to the the the the person at the emergency room. Uh they were going like, "Sorry, we have to ask you these questions. Uh do you do you do such and such?" And I said, "I don't know anything. I just know." And I was like gasping cuz I was short of breath. And I said, "This is the last time I'll ever do cocaine."
Which was a joke. And then the nurse goes, "Oh, well, we didn't ask you that yet. Do we need to write that down? I said, "No, no, I'm just kidding."
But then I said, "Do I need to record like I said, am I going to die? Do I need to record a video, like a goodbye video to my kids?" And they said, "No, don't worry. You're not going to die.
That's too much paperwork. We'll take care of you."
>> So, I got met with a I got met with a good staff, >> dude. Okay. the electrical limit for what your heart can handle is typically in like the high 200s.
Um, so like what's physiologically possible for you would only be like 20 or 30 more beats per minute.
So you were like redlining what is physically possible for a human.
>> That's not good.
>> I'm invincible. This is generally speaking not great.
Can say I've never actually seen cardia that bad in any of my ECGs.
>> Um >> Oh, >> I know we have patients. Okay.
>> I know we have we've had patients that have had >> uh you know heart rate that high. I've never seen a recording of it in the 2 million >> I got a recording of it.
>> Okay.
>> Oh, I'd be curious to see it. Like well baby heartbeats I have um theirs is extremely weird. Baby heartbeats are strange, dude.
>> Yeah, they're super fast, aren't they?
>> They're extremely fast and then their shape is different. Um so the the structure of their heart is so different that it's kind of hard to tell it's even an ECG.
>> It kind of looks like a different waveform entirely. Um I I don't want to go down remodeling it.
There's a lot to it. Anyway, I'm gonna I'm gonna end the stream now.
>> Yeah.
>> Before we go down another heart.
>> Yeah. So, I can go >> to get some sleep and uh let my heart >> You can go to sleep >> hopefully.
>> Yeah. And I can go pee and go to sleep myself. Yeah. Then finish the presentation.
>> Well, God bless you, Chris. God bless everybody here that always joins and and and anybody who uh maybe joined for the first time.
We love you and uh I'm very especially grateful for Chris that uh I'm I'm able to be here with everybody.
>> So, >> actually, I don't glory to God of course at the moment, but >> I don't know if what's coming out of me can poop >> for bringing all of us together. Uh because that's why we're here. uh for him and he's wonderful beyond description and whether I croak next week or whatever from my goofy whatever could be or not be.
God is enthroned. Jesus is enthroned.
The victory is sealed. We're good. And I'll see you in the new Jerusalem where we where uh everything will be good. And hopefully though, God willing, I uh can avoid that and spend the rest of the time in here. Should the Lord tar we can get into good old age but uh also come quickly Lord Jesus think all of us are ready for him to come back and >> usher in eternity for all of us.
>> Amen. We were joking about that on the Discord today which you still haven't joined.
>> Okay. I've got my thing here. So, I've got I've got my notes that also at the top I wrote sleep apnea. Should have put a question mark. I realized that. But but I'm also going to put D A L defending a line discord >> because I always this whole time I thought I was part of it. I didn't realize I was part of a different Discord.
So, I'm missing out. I think I'm missing out on all the other people that are in there.
But uh >> Okay.
>> Also, shout out to uh uh Tommy. Oh, sorry. You know, >> yes, shout out to >> I've met so many cool people. I I maybe maybe I shouldn't say their names, but all the people in the whatever Discord I'm in, all the people in that one, man, what a great group. All those people. I love those people. They're they're like family to me. and uh and and I wouldn't know them if it wasn't for Chris. So, I'm very grateful to be in there and my wife and and and other people in my family. I mean, this is uh even my mom my mom talks about how much she loves Tommy and she's not part of the Discord, which is good for everybody else in there because you just regularly get uh messages saying, "Are you wearing your seat belt?"
My mom's a warrior. But uh yeah, so she's I'm just very grateful to uh know everybody that I know through Chris because I wouldn't know them if it wasn't for Chris. And that includes everybody in the chat, by the way. So, God bless all of you. That's my long parting thing. And forgive the jelly brain and all all that comes with that.
>> But I do have to pee and I think Chris has to pee, too.
>> I do have to pee. He thinks you look like Ross thought that was >> No. Oh, you got to see my brother. I got to get my brother on this. Uh, that's who I That's why I missed the stream last week cuz I was hanging out with him. My brother is like a He's like a Mediterranean Bob Ross.
Okay. I'll try to get him. I'll try to get him next week. He's He won't have to do anything other than just poke his head in. Even if I have to go to his house, you got to see him because we Well, no. I'm I'm talking too long. Love you guys. God bless you.
>> Lay to >> I said good I said goodbye the first time 24 minutes ago.
>> Okay, for real now. Goodbye.
>> May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the flesh of the Holy Spirit with you always to
