This exploration serves as a poignant visual archive of the fragile intersection between industrial ambition and natureβs reclamation. It successfully elevates the spectacle of decay into a silent meditation on the transience of human labor.

We Found A Collapsing Mining Town Hanging Off A Cliff...Added:
There are places in this world that were never meant to last.
Built into the side of a mountain.
Left behind by everything that came after.
abandoned.
But abandonment doesn't mean empty.
It just means no one stayed.
And out here, whatever happened, it didn't just disappear.
You can feel it in the silence and the way everything just sits like it's waiting for something or someone.
And the deeper you go, it feels like you're not alone.
This is our view from an A&W parking lot.
And we did not sleep very well last night.
>> No, it was cold.
>> It was too cold and quite loud where we were, too. I didn't expect it to be so cold. We didn't really pack enough blankets, but that's okay.
>> Yeah, it was minus 2, >> was it? Yeah, I looked when I woke up this morning.
>> Yikes.
This is where we slept last night.
Now, this is the reality of road tripping or just, you know, camping with one of these trucks is they're great. They're super capable.
But we slept inside here.
However, where does all your gear go?
Everywhere.
So, everything's just sitting up here.
We've got our fridge and uh tools, all our gear. Everything's kind of crammed in the front and then you just sleep in the back.
So, it's not a bad setup.
Um, it's just not very spacious. It's easy to want to stay somewhere like this, but that isn't why we're here.
We're headed deep into the mountains in search of one of the largest, most remote mining camps that we have ever found.
not knowing what to expect or what to find.
But that excites us and that drives us to keep looking.
Heat.
Heat.
Heat. Heat.
It's crazy to me that at one point in time, this was somebody's commute to work.
The stories that these logging roads could tell would be truly amazing.
From 1936 to 1949, this mountain was alive.
Hundreds of men came up here to work to carve something out of a solid rock hanging on the side of a cliff.
And this this was their way in.
over 700 steps down a narrow wooden staircase every single day before the sun came up and long after it disappeared.
Heat. Heat.
What is this thing?
Uh, honestly, I don't know. I think it's maybe it was like cable driven for pulling carts up here.
>> I'm not sure.
This is huge, though. It looks pretty cool.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, yeah. You can see the cable down there.
Hello.
time hasn't been very kind to this place.
Roofs have caved in, walls barely standing.
What's left is just debris, scattered pieces of something that once mattered.
Step in the wrong place and the floor gives way. Nothing but open air beneath you.
A straight drop off the edge of the mountain.
Heat.
Heat.
I wonder if you push it and get the momentum if it'll just go.
Whoever put this here, you got me.
They put the statues behind the door.
I thought there was somebody there when I opened it up.
The deeper we go, the more the outside world disappears. No wind, no birds, just the sound of her own footsteps echoing through something that hasn't moved in decades.
Heat.
Heat.
Pretty cool.
Pretty far though. There's an exit.
So, why don't we check that out and then maybe we'll call it >> you okay?
We're not going to keep going further.
Uh we don't really know how far it goes.
I know it goes far based off of uh Google. So we're going to turn back and get out of here and we're going to go cook some burgers somewhere.
>> Yeah. And then there's a big cave and another mine down the mountain that we're going to go and check out after and we're going to show you guys.
Don't call this a bar boy. Oh, come on.
He said give me to boy.
I need something stronger. Yeah. Oh, what's a guy got to do to get some boo boy? She skirted off in that Chevy. It go wrong. What's a light? She don't want no for that play not a tight five but she 56 in them boots. What's a height? Thought we was in Texas. Open car want to fight. Don't need a shooter cuz a daddy taught her how to take a life. Pull it on they freezer. This got heated quick. I got shy ease up.
Careful who you beefing with. Oh girl demon. You cannot reason >> and we're hiding from the wind and the cold.
Things don't stop here. We've got a couple more mines to check out. Heat.
Heat.
It's crazy how a place can feel so empty but not at the same time.
Come on up.
This looks insane.
Whoa, look at this.
I can't even like get in there to film it, but I was way in there.
>> Yeah. Okay. So, there's a ladder. It was someone We're heading to another mine and then we're going to get out of here.
It's getting late in the day. And you're tired?
>> Yeah, >> we're both tired. We did not sleep well in that parking lot whatsoever.
>> It was cold.
It was probably the worst sleep of my life.
I'm not lying.
>> Yeah, me too.
>> My toes were numb when I woke up.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, yeah. I can smell it, too.
>> Where's that light? Let's turn this light on.
I believe it's pretty big. Let's just adjust this.
There we go.
Oh, here we go.
Decisions. decisions.
I think we're going this way. This looks like it's just Yeah.
>> Ew.
>> What? That's a a rat.
>> Oh, what?
Dang, cuz ratatouille down.
>> Yeah.
Hey, I just saw a giant rat jump from the bottom of that to the top.
>> I think I got it on video.
What does it say?
Oh, there you go.
What is this?
Next time we should bring something >> to leave at the end of one of these caves.
So, apparently this uh this cave that we just came out of connects to the upper cave that we were in earlier, but we're not going through that today. It's what 7:00. It's already getting late. And maybe we'll come back and tackle that another day. I think it'd be pretty cool.
There's a lot of cool things around here that we need to explore more.
She said, "Give me a boy. I've been working too long, boy."
Yeah. What's a girl got to go to get some boos in your cart, boy? Oh, come on. He said, "Give me a boy.
I need something stronger." Yeah.
Oh, what's a guy got to do to get some boos in your car? Boy off in that Chevy room. What's it like?
>> By the time you're watching this, we've already head out again. This time, Vancouver Island of rock crawling, exploring, and seeing what we can find.
>> If you want to see how that goes, >> make sure you stick around.
Thank you for watching.
>> Got to get some boy. Oh, come on. He said, "Give me boy." Yeah. I need something stronger.
And what's the guy got to do to get some mov boy? Come on. Yeah, we keep a couple ways just for a cop. Driving dropping value when you throw it off the lot. My denied. I'm in the 350 VA swerving down the freeway. Dropped it like it was my Pday. we party on a weekday. Shorties taking up top.
That's my type of content. We both can get it.
