In eFootball Mobile, the most common defensive mistake is pressing too early before the opponent reaches your defensive block, which breaks your defensive shape and creates scoring opportunities; effective defense requires staying patient, only pressing when the ball enters a dangerous zone or the opponent makes a bad touch, and always having a second defender ready to cut off passing lanes.

STOP Defending Like This The Common Mistake Killing Your Clean Sheets追加:
You set up your deep block, you're sitting compact, everything looks good.
And then some guy just walks right through you like your defenders are made of paper, every single time.
I know that feeling. And today I'm telling you exactly why it keeps happening.
Here's what most people get wrong. They think defending is just about having a low block and waiting.
And yeah, okay, the shape matters.
But the shape is useless if you're pressing at the wrong time.
That's the mistake. You see the ball, your brain goes, "Get him."
And you spam pressure before the guy is even close to your block. Your CB steps out, there's a gap, and boom, goal. And you're sitting there like, "What just happened?" You broke your own shape.
That's what happened.
Let me paint the picture. You're sitting deep, compact, looking organized.
Your opponent is just passing it around in midfield, nothing dangerous. But you get impatient, you press, your center back steps up to chase, and the moment he does, there's a lane opening up right behind him. One through ball, one run, it's over. That's not bad luck, that's a pattern.
And once you see it, you can't unsee it.
My rule is simple, only press when the ball comes into a dangerous zone, or when your opponent makes a bad touch. If they're just recycling it wide and going nowhere, let them. Seriously, let them be comfortable out there.
Force them to make the move into your block. Don't chase them.
All right, so what should you actually be doing? Hold the shape first. I know it feels passive. I know it's tempting to go get the ball. Don't. Stay compact and make them come to you. Then, watch the angles.
The second they try to play something through the middle or into the channel, that's your moment. That's when you engage. And this is the one most people skip. Use your second defender.
Pressing with one man does nothing if the second defender is just standing there watching. The moment you go to press, your second man needs to already be cutting off the next pass. If they skip past your first press, he's right there. The attack dies. So, it's really three things. Stay patient, don't chase shadows, press at the right moment, not just when you feel like it. And always have that second man ready. Most of the goals you're conceding, hand on heart, it's not because your opponent is doing something crazy. It's because you stepped out of position at the wrong time. I used to do the same thing. Once I locked this in, the clean sheet started coming way more consistently, even against squads that are way above mine rating-wise. Try it tonight. Be patient, press smart, protect that second line. If this helped you, drop a like and subscribe to Game Jab. I'm posting eFootball mobile content regularly. And comment below what formation you're running because the press timing changes depending on your setup, and I'll talk about it. All right. See you in the next one.
