He allegedly used vulgarities to refer to a prosecutor and a fellow judge, both women, during a judicial conference last month. The state has hired an outside lawyer to investigate, and Bennett is taking some time away from the bench. His current term runs through December 31st, 2028, and he has served on the Marion County bench since 2013.
