[00:00:00]So, I'm just out from Edinburgh's High Court where Peter Merl has plead guilty to embezzlement of more than £400,000 from the S SNP, the party for which he used to be the chief executive. And of course, he used to be married to its former leader Nicholas Sturgeon, the former first minister of Scotland. Now, this is the culmination of Operation Branch Farm, a police investigation which first kicked off back in 2021 after an allegation of a missing £600,000. We know today though that the final amount that he has been charged with embezzling is £400,310 and he has plead guilty to that. We know he has spent it on uh luxury goods, on a motor home, on the purchase of cars, and he has now been remanded in custody until he's finally sentenced on June the 23rd in the very courts behind me Yeah.
