Aaron Rodgers IN PITTSBURGH ahead of OTAs, contract situation, more | Steelers Rewind

[00:00:04]It's a weird one. I'm in North Park. If you're in the North Hills, you know why I'm here. Aaron Rodgers was spotted at Cool Cones out here in North Park yesterday. Great place by the way. I basically have been going there since I was a kid. Um and he was out here. He's in Pittsburgh.

[00:00:22]It is confirmed he's in Pittsburgh. I did some little investigative reporting on my own. DIY went out here on a limb.

[00:00:31]Confirmed he's here. The menu I I saw was potentially, you know, there was some questions cuz pumpkin was on it.

[00:00:37]It's a fall only thing. Well, it's specified on the menu. He is here. I also kind of just wanted to condense a bunch of like the Rodgers points into like one video. I don't really want to talk Rodgers on the podcast. You guys know, I think you're tired of it a little bit. I'm tired of it. Um we'll see where this contract comes in at. My guess is he's going to get a heavily incentivized contract just like he did last time. You might see a higher base salary. You might see like 19-20 million this time with it potentially to get up to like 26-27 million. That's not a surprise if that happens, but I don't think money's going to be a sticking point. I think we're just kind of at a waiting game. Does he sign on Monday?

[00:01:10]He's in Pittsburgh, so maybe he signs and he shows up on Monday. And that's where it happens. And he's here for OTAs. Maybe he waits a few more weeks and is just kind of around the team getting to know guys like Jeremy Bernard and Drew Aller. And by around the team I mean in Pittsburgh and organizing hangouts and things like that, but he hasn't officially signed. We'll see.

[00:01:28]We know offseason program wise, spring wise, he has not been a big proponent of that over the years. It's possible. I think they would like for him to be there just for the mentorship part of it, but for in terms of just pure reps, I mean Aller, Howard are going to get the majority of those anyways. They want to see these young guys do what they can do.

[00:01:47]And they need to see those guys grow.

[00:01:49]So, that'll be something either way. Not a lot of fuss. I think Aaron Rodgers clearly going to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers, be their quarterback next year.
