The American bail system exhibits significant disparities where wealthy or high-profile individuals receive substantially lower bail amounts compared to others committing similar crimes, creating a two-tier justice system that disproportionately affects ordinary citizens who lack financial resources to secure their release.

Chud The Builder Gets $1.25M Bail While Austin Metcalf’s Killer Got $250K... TWO-TIER JUSTICE?追加:
I'm going to set I'm going to set just a bond right now. Do we have our bail hearing? Then I'll let you make all the arguments. We can go through all the factors in the statute and see if that gets amended up or down. Okay. Yes, sir.
>> I'm going to set initial bond at 1.25 million >> based upon the fact of how many people were in the courtyard. We're here at the courthouse and the seriousness of all these felonies and his bond status.
>> What's up, folks? We are back again. We got another update on Chud the Builder.
We talked about this uh a couple days ago. Uh we discussed about the incident, kind of a little bit of who this guy is.
So, there's some more updates now. Um as you can hear there, insane bond that was held. For a little context, this is from Joel Webbin on Twitter. He says on Twitter, Chud's bail is 1.25 million for shooting a usual suspect who attacked him. And the man is still alive, by the way. So he the guy that uh Chud did not actually die. Carmelo Anthony, if you will remember, Carmemelllo Anthony is the guy at that track meet that killed, you know, with an a knife. He killed uh Austin Metaf at a track meet because Austin Metaf walked up and said, "Hey buddy, you're on the wrong seat. Can you move like you're under the wrong tent or whatever?" However it works at track meets. Carmemelllo Anony's bell was $250,000 for stepping Austin Metaf. Austin is dead and buried.
Now, if this is not an example of privilege, I don't know what is. Okay? I don't know what is. So, again, I'm not here to moralize or judge whatever Chud the Builder style may not be everybody's style. I'm here to point out the hypocrisy and the double standard of this two-tier legal system that we all live under. That's my concern. Time and a time again, you see horrific crimes happening by repeat offenders.
In fact, the guy that uh Chud the Builder had to defend himself against, he was a repeat offender, a repeat violent offender.
It's like, do you see the pattern? Do you see the pattern? Here is uh some of Myron Gaines. He had a defense attorney on to discuss this bail a little bit.
So, this is kind of interesting to listen to.
>> So, he got a $1.25 $25 million bail. Um I know he has a GoFundMe. I think he has enough to probably post the bail because I think he's got to post 10% or whatever.
>> I doubt >> Well, sorry.
>> No, it's it's going to be it it'll be it'll be more than So a normal bail, you're right, it's 10%. But when when it's when the exposure for the bail bondsman is this high >> they want 10% as their fee. Yeah.
>> And then they want collateral for the rest.
>> Gotcha. Put up a house.
>> They won't take your house, but they'll right. They'll ask you to put up your house. Right. Yeah, I I I know one of the gripe that's in the community is that they see black suspects commit worse crimes, not attempted murder, but literally murder, literally assassination, and get like a $200,000 bail. That That's one of the legitimate grievances I talked about at the start of our our show today. This is a real concern. This should not be happening.
But but it does happen. I mean, George Zimmerman had a multi-million dollar bond. Kyle Writtenhouse had a multi-million dollar bond. It's And is it because they're white guys? Uh yeah, maybe because it's a a politically charged event in Zimmerman's case, a racially charged event. Yeah. Is that right? No. No, it's not right. But they're allowed to do this. I mean, I frankly I would expect I think maybe So this is a two-stage process right now for Chud. So right now what he's got is bond. There's bond and there's bail. So bail is often a kind of technical process where like uh reports are filed like is this guy a flight risk? Does he have bonds to the community? There's there's an examination of facts that goes into bail.
>> Um, but before you get to bail, because bail takes an arraignment, which is normally a few days later, uh, post arrest, bond is something you might get right away. Uh, so it's possible they gave him a $1.25 million bond, and then when they get to bail and they have more facts in the record, they'll reduce the bail. U, I don't I don't think Chud's getting out on a $1.25 million. I I don't think he's got I don't think he has the resources to do it.
>> He his GoFundMe has like his GoFundMe has like 130 140K in there.
>> He has a GoFundMe.
>> It's not enough.
>> You That's enough for the 10% for the bail bondsman, but it's not enough >> Bond is not >> like total total half the half the remainder.
>> And you know this is here's the thing.
This is called this is like the the whole legal system costs so much money.
So what makes me sad is I'm like, "Wow, he's raising all this money." when you post like a GoFundMe, you're going to get the initial flurry of donations and whatever. That's about it. After the first GoFundMe, people, you know, people have kind of the enthusiasm has waned, let's say. So, it's not like this is the only fee that he's going to have to worry about. He's also now going to have to deal with trying to find a good defense attorney. And I've talked to people in the political space who were very hot items and they're trying to find attorneys and they literally cannot find an attorney. Like, you don't think about this. Do you think you could just call up any law law office, assuming they're even a good one? Because there are garbage attorneys as well who may turn on you, may be working against you, or maybe just completely incompetent. If anybody's dealt with attorneys, a ton of them are completely incompetent. On top of that, attorneys won't take these cases. They don't want that on their record. They're scar scared of the backlash. They don't want to be seen defending this guy. So, if you're in a position like this, you're going to find it extremely difficult, even if you had the money, money aside, to even find an attorney who will even work for you. Okay? Like, I've heard this firsthand from other people in not this sort of situation, but other legal problems where you have like the SP SPLC bringing lawsuits against them and they can't get attorneys. Nobody will work with them. The attorneys backstab them or they're working with the enemy. It's incredibly corrupt. And like in the case of Daniel Penny, which was a clear case of self-defense, like this is, you know, I I don't know, shifty lawyers, whatever. Daniel Penny was a clear case of self-defense. Like, we know that this was self-defense. Not to mention, he was protecting others. There were tons of witnesses to the to the incident, and they all attested on his side like, "Yes, this guy stepped in and helped us." And they put him through the legal uh rigomearo. Like if you talk to a um an attorney or you talk to somebody in law enforcement, they will tell you even if it is the most clear case of self-defense, they will still put you through this whole legal um uh like running the gauntlet of the legal system and of lawfare and it will destroy you.
And that's the best case scenario is you come out innocent. You were vindicated.
Okay? You were pronounced not guilty.
Okay? It's it's so corrupt and this is how they punish people who are dissident or speak out is they bring lawfare onto them. So it's not that they'll necessarily get a guilty verdict and you go to jail, but even if you once you've cleared your name, well cleared your name legally, the media will have done hit pieces on you, you cemented in the minds of society as this person or you've done this crime regardless of what the verdict comes out to. Not to mention, you've been absolutely decimated in legal fees, in bonds, in bail, and all of these other things that are stacked on top of it. Look how expensive it is just to go to court for a traffic ticket. Like, you were speeding. You were going 20 over. It's like $300 in court costs, plus the ticket, plus all of these other things.
Plus, you can't work. You have to take off work. You have to go. When they set uh dates, a lot of times they'll cancel it and postpone. So, you showed up, you took off work, you showed up to the court, and they're like, "Oh, sorry.
Yeah, we're going to do that actually next month." Or sometimes they don't even really know, but you better not miss it or they'll put a warrant out for your arrest. So, it's ridiculous. And um this is this is how legally you can have your rights stripped away even though you were doing something that is constitutionally protected. Like Shiloh Hendris. Shiloh Hendrickx did nothing wrong. She said a word. She said a word and she is still fighting legal battles.
That's how they will destroy you. You might have your f uh first amendment rights. You might be protected under the constitution and your amendments.
That doesn't mean they can't still destroy your life through lawfare.
That's that's I mean and it's just highlighted with this case. Few weeks ago I covered Saga Metals trading as SAG MF in the US and Saga in Canada. And we're back with more updates. A lot has happened in a short amount of time. In less than six months, the company says it's achieved a 100% drill success rate across all 57 drill holes at its radar project and did it all ahead of schedule. On top of all that, they've added $10 million in fresh funding dedicated specifically to expanding the drilling program. But that's where things get really interesting. Saga also acquired a strategic titanium asset in the same district as the largest titanium mine in the world. an asset that was reportedly being eyed by mining giant Rio Tinto. And just last month, they've added the Wolverine project located along the same mineral-rich corridor as the historic Voys Bay Discovery. So why does any of this matter? Because titanium and other critical minerals are essential for aerospace, defense systems, and next generation industrial manufacturing. And right now, the US and its allies are making a major push to schedule reliable supply chains. So that means companies operating in this space are sitting in a very interesting position and Saga appears to be moving aggressively while that momentum builds. If you want to learn more about the story, check out the link in the description. And a huge thanks to Saga Metals for sponsoring today's video.
>> Half a million in collateral. He doesn't have to lose it.
>> Yeah.
>> So again, when when you pay a a bail bondsman, you put up the 10%. He the bail bondsman keeps that 10%. You never get it back. That's that's his fee.
>> If if he had 1.25 million himself, he could put it all up, cover his own bond, and then as long as he shows up to court, he ends up getting it back.
>> Yeah.
>> 100%. Um, so what I expect would happen here is he'd have to put up 10% 125 grand that he loses to the bail bondsman and then the balesman is going to say, "But I want collateral for half the million that's left over."
>> Yeah. Gotcha. So, do you have a do you have a half million dollar house or do you have a house with half million dollar in equity? I mean, do you do you have a half million dollar in resources that can be collateral that I can seize if you run?
>> Gotcha. Okay.
>> And not not many people have that. So, I don't know.
>> And again, these are just half most people like online are make a normal salary, you know, until you get up until until you're basically in the club, you're not going to be making millions and millions of dollars. So, these are just everyday people that happen to go viral, happen to get a video like Shiloh Hendrickx that accidentally went viral, whatever, and they they're wound they find themselves in these situations. So, I feel bad for the guy. Um, you know, I feel really bad for him. Uh, but that's your update on Tud. Speaking of the people getting screwed over, uh, we got a little update on Trump as well and inflation. Let's so uh just to run through before we get through the to the video of Trump. Here are some numbers.
So new inflation numbers are out for April and they are 3.8% for the month of April. So this is the fastest rate of inflation that we've seen since 2023, right? And of course this is due in a big part to this ongoing war in Iran as well as other factors. And good to know that the leader that we all elected to help, you know, mass deportations and no new wars and fix the economy and we want the inflation to go down. We want the average everyday person to be able to maybe even hope that they could buy a house or hope that they could buy anything nice. But um with inflation continues to rise, it's worse gets worse and worse every day. Good to know that uh President Trump doesn't care at all.
In fact, he actually said that and here's the video. So, this is him. He was on his way to China and a reporter basically asked him about this. They were like, "Here's the numbers. What do you think about this?" Like, like, "Are you are your hills so dug in the sand that you are going to destroy the American economy and hurt American citizens because of this war? Would you ever consider putting a stop to the war, ending the conflict if it would help Americans like in their actual actual day lives?" Like I know Iran means a lot to politicians who have a lot of money banked in this and there are the powers of be that want this to happen and so it's as though they have a metaphorical gun to their head maybe literal as well.
Who knows? Um but these politicians don't care. And here is President Trump in case any of you thought that President Trump cares about he lit he literally doesn't care >> when you're negotiating with Iran. Mr. President, to what extent are Americans financial consequences motivating you to make a deal?
>> Not even a little bit. The only thing that matters when I'm talking about Iran, they can't have a nuclear weapon.
I don't think about Americans financial situation. I don't think about anybody.
I think about one thing. We cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon. That's all.
That's the only thing that motivates.
And here he is doubling down on that statement when this uh Fox News reporter is I think trying to give him a way of explaining himself because everybody sees it's like when they tell you who they are, believe them. Okay? Like I don't even have to I I'm not putting words in Trump's mouth. I am just letting Trump speak for himself. He doesn't care even a little bit about Americans financial situation. That really makes that really sounds like MAGA. Really? That really sounds like MAGA. And this coming from, by the way, an ex MAGA supporter >> numbers are you can imagine Democrats and political pundits uh jumped jumped all over this statement that you made the other day. You were asked on the when you were leaving, >> what extent are American financial situations motivating you to make a deal?
>> Not even a little bit. The only thing that matters, and I'm talking about Iran, they can't have a nuclear weapon.
I don't think about American financial situation. I don't think about anybody.
I think about one thing. We cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon. That's all.
>> That's right. That's a perfect statement. I'd make it again.
>> You can imagine how many people stop the sound bite at >> I don't think about America situation.
So what's your response to that frame?
It's very simple.
>> When people hear me say it, everybody agrees.
>> Short-term pain. It's going to be short-term pain. But the pain is much less than people thought. Uh, how short term exactly? Because I was told that this war in Iran would be like a a weekend trip, right?
But like all endless wars start, they always start and the politicians always tell you, "Oh, it's no worries. No worries." And by the way, in case you thought Iran was the only goal, no, no, it's not. It's the rest of the Middle East. Because if you know the people whose interest is in destroying Iran, you know that their interest is not just in Iran, but it's in controlling the entire Middle East. Okay, so that's your little uh update in politics and in lawfare. Not looking great. Not looking great. So if you are a straight white male and you happen to find yourself in some legal battles, expect to be treated by the full extent of the law. expect to be absolutely hammered by the heavy arm of the law. And if you are an everyday working American who uh is a law-abiding citizen and does not commit crimes and is not selling and trafficking in drugs, will expect to get no government handouts, get no help, get no assistance, and on top of that be continually screwed over by the government who has stated that they don't care even a little it.
