The Odyssey too much odd

[00:00:00]He's going to put the odd in the Odyssey. I'm talking about Christopher Nolan. Holy smoke, everybody's losing their mind about all these rumors going around about Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey. And guess what? I'm one of them.

[00:00:18]I've been on my own Odyssey when it comes to this movie. I went to like super excited that Christopher Nolan was doing this to like ooh, I got to see that in IMAX to then seeing some stuff about it. You're like ooh, maybe I'll wait till it comes out on Netflix. And now I'm like I'm out. I'm I'm out.

[00:00:39]I guess Christopher Nolan this is this is the rumor that Christopher Nolan is is basing his script on this 2017 translation of The Odyssey by this Emily Wilson who decided to look at The Odyssey through a feminist lens.

[00:00:57]I'm out. I'm done. Like you can you can do a lot of crazy casting, but like this this this this is The Odyssey. This this is about this is about a dude trying to get home. It's about Matt Damon trying to get home. And and that's his wheelhouse. That's where he puts a lot of bat on the ball. Matt Damon trying to get home. Saving Private Ryan, The Martian. There's a ton of them. That sounds like a good movie. And then you're like oh, but you know what? Helen of Troy, Lupita Nyong'o, how about that?

[00:01:30]Yeah, Lupita Nyong'o. And that's what that's a whole puzzler right there. But that's good for the story. I'll even take you can even give me Elliot Page as like maybe maybe the ghost of Achilles. That's what they're saying right now. Okay.

[00:01:49]There's going to be a lot of memes.

[00:01:51]There's got to Elliot Page not not not not a not a not a big fella. I think it's a So there's a lot of that, but but I don't I don't need like another manifesto. I don't need woke in my movies. I don't need all of this. And if there's anybody who could make a complaint, it's it's a Greek actors.

[00:02:17]Don't the Greek actors have a legit beef to be like, "Hey, where are the Greek actors in this ginormous cast?" It seems odd to me. A whole feminist look at the Odyssey with a whole crazy whackedoodle United Nations cocktail mixer casting.
