Calling a $10,000 slot pull a "strategy" is just a high-brow way to rationalize losing money faster using math-flavored jargon. It’s a sophisticated delusion that mistakes understanding volatility for having any actual control over a random number generator.

One $10,000 Bet Before the First SpinAñadido:
Today we're starting the day a little different. A $10,000 hand of Bakra.
Here's my thinking. We win. We have $10,000 of ammo. We're going to fire on something big today. And if we in the unlikely event that we lose this $10,000 hand of Bakra, we're not out of it. We could always win it back. So, I'm feeling good. Let's fire it in there.
All right. Here we go. Uh, let's do banker. I notice it's choppy board. It's banker player. Banker player. So, it's going to be banker. Watch.
>> That's right. Yeah. Easy game. All right. Oh, something happened. Card got stuck. Hopefully, it was a bad card for you. Uh, can I see one of your cards, please? An ace. That's good. Usually get those in blackjack.
>> All right. That's a threeider, which what's that make it a seven or an eight?
And this is a >> no sides.
>> No sides. So, I could have a natural.
What do you have?
>> Three.
>> No stress here. Really?
>> What's this? Oh, pass it.
>> So, you have a six or seven, >> eight or nine.
>> Cash it.
>> Seven. That's Well, that's pretty good.
Cash it. Picture. Picture.
>> It works. Zero.
>> $10,000 less. A little commission.
>> I like winning.
>> How about you, EJ?
>> I love winning.
>> Yeah. I' I'd even go so far as to say I love it. Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Two white or yellow?
>> Uh, two whites is good. Thank you. What a dealer. What a dealer. Well, that was so good. 9,500 of ammo. Well, I would say 10,000, but then that would be exaggerating because we paid a $500 commission and a tip. But anyway, over nine grand of ammo and we're going to attack or not attack. We're going to H this would sound weird, too. I was going to say like make love to the queen cuz I don't want to I want to but that's weird. Like I mean, who's sitting around, you know, pumping a slot machine? That would be really weird.
Probably won't even keep this in there, but you never know.
>> 125 a spin on queen shoe. Let's do it.
>> Yeah. 125 on the queen shoe. Let's just hope it goes well. Whatever that looks like for you. All right, here we go.
>> $5 denom 125 a press >> queen ch.
>> I believe that's the uh min bet.
>> I like the $5 denoms very >> Yeah, the big denoms are good.
>> 5,000. That's a very large mini.
>> 25,000 minor >> and 100% of the inage or the winage is in the machine.
>> I really like my suitcase. Yeah, that's >> bonus. Time two* 2* 2. Oh man, please.
>> Now the queen with the rigaw is the best uh >> best dealio, right?
>> Yeah. Oh, come on, Ch. Ah, come on.
Okay, here we go. Here we go. Here we go. Oh, here we go. Here we don't go.
Last. Last. Okay, >> all right. We're winning.
really like the idea of trying to get some ammo on the front end as rather than trying to catch up afterwards.
>> Does it have anything to do that we did it on Bakarov?
>> Oh, of course I always want to play Bakarov.
>> Always.
>> Oh, remind me to tell you guys about the suitcase thing.
>> Hey man, tell us about the suitcase thing.
>> No, I mean I'm going to tell I'm not going to tell it now.
>> Oh, do we have a suitcase sponsor or something?
>> Possibly. Yeah.
>> Uh but I don't want to talk about it until the deal is done. But it's a really cool suitcase. It might even be cooler than our existing suitcases.
>> It better be if you're going to accept an endorsement.
>> I've committed myself for life to the suitcase.
>> It's not sharper edge.
>> You're saying that I I should uncommit myself?
>> Well, I mean, you know, if if you were to change loyalties in a in a sincere fashion, if you actually thought this suitcase was better, so we'll be doing maybe some live testing or something about the suitcase.
>> Oh, wow.
>> Yeah, remind me about that. And there's other cool stuff, too. I I uh had fun. I went to the mall today and uh I you know, people don't go to malls all that often anymore.
>> You the mall today or yesterday?
>> I went yesterday and today. I'm super my new thing. I'm into it. Shopping.
>> Great.
>> And then I also got possibly a uh a clothing uh place that's going to give me clothes to wear and then I just give them back after I wear them.
>> So, what' you do? You just went and talked to a bunch of salespeople at the clothes store?
>> Well, I mean, I was buying clothes, you know, for the big event at Fountain Blue. It's >> so wait a second. You're working on a deal where you get to borrow clothes.
>> Yeah. What's the >> Wow. This is Do >> they pay you or No. You know, we're in the early stages of negotiations. But I mean, just still like it would be cool to get like really nice clothes and like, you know, only have to wear them once and then just give them back cuz I always buy these shirts for like 400 bucks. I wear them once or twice and then I, you know, I I've worn that a million times already.
>> Yeah. And your a lot of your shirts are very loud. It's not like a plain white tea where you could wear it a few times and no one would have any thoughts. It's uh >> I bought a shirt like this for the for the big event at Fountain Blue uh today and me and my Vegas mom went shopping.
Do you know Saks Fifth Avenue is going out of business?
>> Oh, really?
>> Uh well, they're closing a lot of stores. The one in Vegas. They're selling everything. They're selling like the furniture. Come on.
>> They're sacking it.
>> Yeah, they're sacking the holiday.
>> Thank you.
>> Oh, they're sacking the whole thing. Uh well, this is kind of a disaster so far, huh?
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, we're not OUT OF IT, THOUGH.
>> NOT EVEN CLOSE to out of it.
Yeah, even the mini is five times the normal mini value at 5,000.
>> We get one of those.
>> Triple mini. Let's go.
>> We don't even care if we get one here or not.
>> Oh, yeah, we do. All right, come on. All right, we're still in it.
All right, we remain in it even now.
>> Word, word, word. That's good. All right, another $750 right there. It's a $750 bill. Oh my god, we got the grand.
How much is that? 103.
>> Oh yeah.
>> Are we out of it?
>> Yep.
>> No, not yet.
>> Out of it.
This is a fair amount of dough here.
>> 4250.
>> Right back where we started. Almost even.
All right, the queen. Look at her. She's very serious look up there. I never noticed that red eye shadow before.
>> Yeah, it's very attractive.
>> Oh yeah, >> we all start doing that.
>> You probably will. You never know what could happen.
>> You could be like Bruce Jenner next thing we know.
>> But it's fine. We're Vegas. A lot of different looks are okay. It's Vegas, you know.
>> Yeah.
All right. Who wants to bet on Money Buffalo versus the the coins?
>> Uh, I'll take the coins.
>> All right. I'll take the money buffalo.
What do you want? 200.
>> Just a wheel spin.
>> Just a wheel spin. All right.
>> Conservative.
>> Good luck.
>> Cheers.
>> WBG, you want in on this or >> I mean, if if you want to do a >> a cash prize, I would.
>> You don't like the spins?
>> I like the spins. Can we do multiple spins? Like five or three or something?
>> No, we can't.
>> Now you're complicating things.
>> I'll give you one.
That way we have something to build up to. You can't come right out the gate with a big bet. You got nowhere to go.
>> Kevin's here or something.
>> Yes, sir.
>> All right. Goes quick at 125 spin.
But it comes quick when you get the coins though and you get the time two times two times two times two times two.
>> This is the one application where that's good.
>> Who who has the money phoenix >> W2?
>> All right, >> I'll give you action. You can have uh up to 2x on the uh Phoenix's. I feel very confident.
>> All right, I'll take a 2x.
>> Don't sound so thrilled.
>> I'll I'll take it. That's great.
>> Fine. Okay.
>> Come on.
You seen how many sweats I've had, by the way, at this?
>> Yeah. Many full sweats. Like four or five. Right.
>> So, every time you get one of those birds that has a dollar value on it, it advances that meter in the upper right hand corner.
>> And that's what we're playing until we hit. Right. It's a 1321. Now, >> you get an extra bonus.
>> Okay.
>> Uhoh.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Minus 300. Come on.
>> I was going to take that sideway, too.
If we get an upside down uh result here, I'm not going to be pleased.
>> I'm going to be so bummed cuz you're against both of them.
>> EJ's against both of us.
>> Good boy, WBG. Let's get it.
>> No.
>> All right.
>> We're not allowed to be upset about 100.
>> No, I know. But it was just almost so much better.
>> Yeah, it was tickling that minus one.
I'm glad we won that uh bakar raw hand.
I love winning big hands.
>> It's just such an easy way to get ammo, but it's also an easy way to get wrecked.
>> That's also true.
>> Thank you, EJ.
>> A lot of variance in the big hand.
>> OH, 10,000 FOR THAT DOUBLE MINI.
>> IDIOT. It's like just tearing the band-aid off. You know, you could sit there and bleed out 10 grand over a couple hours, or you could just fire it in there and either win or lose, go big or go home.
>> Well, a lot of times when you bet less, when you bet a,000, you might make 20 or 30 bets, which rates to actually cost you more in the long run.
>> Sure.
>> Do we have any run it package or not?
>> Um, yeah, I'll run it back.
>> Same way. All right. All right. I'm in.
What a disaster that would have been.
>> You've got coins and they've got balls.
Is that what it is?
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah, we do.
>> You've got the coins. I've got the balls.
>> Let's win lots of money.
>> Say, uh, you got the roller skate, I got the key situation.
>> I don't get it.
>> That's another song.
>> I got a brand new pair of roller skates.
That one?
>> Probably not that version. Uh, >> no. That was exactly the version, believe it or not.
So, Vegas, Matt, you're in good spirits after the shopping, huh?
>> I like shopping, but it's like, you know, the mall looked busy. A lot of people out shopping. Always.
>> Which one did you go to?
>> Uh, the fashion show.
>> Okay.
>> And uh Yeah, I had I had good luck at the Robert Graham store. And uh >> Good luck, it's gambling.
>> Yeah, >> you're looking pretty spiffy on the >> Marcus. I kind of sold out, you know, struck out. I I had this one really cool looking suit, but mom said I looked idiotic in it. Um, and I tended to agree the pants were a disaster. Uh, and this jacket was a little small. This is a disaster, by the way. Uh, but what was I going to say?
Anyway, yeah, the suitcase deal. And then the other I went shopping again yesterday. Very excited about the old Fountain Blue event. And uh, >> come on. And yes, WBJ, I do have my Postmasters green uh Vegas Matt golf shirt on today.
Is that our first golf shirt that we've ever had?
>> We've had it.
>> Oh, we had one other one.
>> Yeah.
>> This one says Vegas Mat on the sleeve.
>> I like it.
>> Come on.
>> This is a disaster.
>> Come on.
>> Out of it.
>> Wow. How do we do on the wheel spin?
>> I don't know. This better be negative.
>> Oh boy.
>> Get there. Keep going.
>> Oh boy.
>> Come on.
>> What happened?
>> Oh boy.
>> I'm booking it as well.
>> 300.
>> EJ.
>> My only regret is that I don't have old torn up taped together white.
>> Come on. Coin. Yes.
>> Oh, you would have won it again. EJ.
>> I just said you said you were booking it.
>> All right. This is going to be a biggie.
>> WPG.
the lockers.
>> There you go. You're getting the rest on Apple Cash.
>> Oh, thanks. I like Apple Cash. Oh, that's not bad, right? No, it's not bad at all.
>> Yeah. Look at that.
>> Okay. Oh, >> that's got to be good, right?
>> I don't know how many of them connect.
>> Yeah. 1,000 bucks.
>> All right, we'll take it.
>> We're going to make it.
>> We're back in it. I didn't count what you gave me, but I saw that there was a 10 and a five in there.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> I gave you I g I gave you 475.
>> Okay.
>> And you owe me 40 bucks, so I'm going to send you 85. Yeah, Apple cash.
>> Oh, I owe you for the screen protector.
>> Yeah.
>> All right, fair enough.
>> Who's going to put that screen protector on for me?
>> I will put the screen protector on for you.
>> Is this one of the privacy shields or just a >> Don't Oh, THAT WOULD HAVE been a lot of money.
50,000. I would have been so happy.
I'm actually pretty happy anyway. But I would >> You should try to be happy all the time.
Life's pretty good. Vegas, man.
>> No, I was I was thinking about that.
I'll tell you, I like staying home. I'm excited about these Vegas shows. Let me tell you, people come to Vegas. It's the greatest place. Everyone should live here in Vegas. We got that whole water situation under control.
>> Yeah, we got the water worked out.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Come on. Can we like get a big one? 16x Not there.
Okay.
All right.
Okay.
>> A disaster. Come on. Stupid.
>> That was a sando.
>> Did I tell you about my idea?
Uh >> uh the suitcase idea? No. No. No. You got a lot of ideas.
>> Yeah, that's good.
>> A used clothing idea.
>> Oh, no.
>> Not that one either. I'll tell you after this post.
>> Okay.
>> Another 1875, would you?
>> All right. Do we have an 1875? Oh, yeah.
We do.
>> Smack dab in the middle.
>> Oh, yeah. We could be back in it. We were never really out of it, though.
>> No, I don't feel like we were.
>> All right. We're as in it as we've ever been, though. I can say that much.
>> Nice medium school here.
We anymore.
>> Oh, how about a word?
Here we go.
Smack.
>> So, that's 56 grand.
>> Uh, about 6125. Those are always bigger than I think they're going to be. That's >> what she said.
Um, so, okay. So, here was my idea.
>> Okay.
>> Vegas Matt real estate because I know everything about Vegas real estate. Nobody knows Vegas better than me. I look at every high-rise in this city. I know all the luxury properties. If anybody wants to move to Vegas, I will take you around and show you what house to buy.
>> No.
>> Yeah.
>> You want to be a real >> No, but I mean I'm I have a >> I can see it now. Vegas Matt Real Estate and used clothing.
>> I have a corner of Flamingo and Las Vegas.
>> I have time in the mornings. you. Well, the thing you already have that qualifies you to be a realtor is a slightly nicer car than you should probably have, you know, because every real >> No, but I mean, I'm gonna work with my friends that are, you know, that know how to do all that stuff, but I'm going to talk to you about what you're looking for and I will find you the sickest place and I know it. I know every place, let me tell you.
>> Yeah. The thing is is when you take people shopping though, you basically are shopping for yourself. No, but you're like you're like, "EJ, let's go looking for a car." It's like if they >> I agree that he knows Vegas very well. I just am violently against that taking up all of his time.
>> How if people Yeah, the book was turned out to be the greatest thing ever. It's a bust.
>> I think we made almost $300 from it.
Took you a year to write.
>> You don't know anything about anything.
But anyway, Jeeoff, if anyone wants to move to Vegas, just message me at info@ vegasmatt.
>> Vegas Matt's realy consulting.
>> Yeah, I'm a consultant and we talk about what you're looking for and then I connect you with my friends and we take you around. Why don't Why don't we just make a channel in our Discord for that?
>> Do they get a discount if they let you borrow their clothes?
>> But not everyord.
>> Well, they need to get in Discord.
>> They should get in Discord.
>> We're going to make it easier. You know what? As of this second, it's very easy to join Discord. If you had trouble before, try again.
>> You can talk to Vegas Matt the realtor in the realtor channel.
>> All right. I would actually if you have if you do have trouble with Discord, search YouTube for for a video on how to use Discord. There's some three and five minute videos that show you. It's It's actually quite simple.
>> Oh my god, we got it.
>> It's like Jerry and Annie were gonna move here. I showed them the highrises.
They decided they wanted to have a dog.
So now we're looking at houses. My friend Adam is possibly going to buy Bob's house. Uh the one next to Mike Tyson's house.
>> Oh, I thought you were going to buy that house.
>> I was, but it's just a little bit expensive. But this guy's got >> But now with your new realy business, maybe you can afford it.
>> You know, I might have to.
>> And all the money you're going to save on clothes cuz you're going to be borrowing them. and you'll keep the 3% or whatever on the P when you buy the house because you'll be your own realtor.
>> Well, no, I don't know how to be a realtor. I'm just going to do it for some friends of mine that are good realtors, but I'm going to I'm going to help.
>> I thought this was a business opportunity.
>> Well, it's a business opportunity for my friends.
>> There's kickbacks. Come on, let's be real realistic here.
>> Something. All right, we need a smack here.
>> Hey, I'll throw in a home warranty >> and a new fridge. I think we won.
>> Oh, yeah. Oh, we start with 9500. Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, yeah. 2625. There we go.
>> Everything in the machine is windage, too. By the way, >> here at Vegas Matt Realy, uh, I'll wear my master's Vegas map polo, take you looking at houses in my rolls. I should do that. I mean, if you guys give me proof of funds, like, if you're legit, I'll drive you around.
>> Proof of funds.
>> No, I'm not going to take a some, you know, a bunch of people, I want to buy a $5 million house, and then they got like seven bucks. But, I mean, if you're legitimate, I'll drive you around. I'll wear my Vegas masters shirt and in the rolls bring my friend a licensed agent and we'll go look at the finest real estate in >> You enjoy looking at real estate.
>> I love when I go to Hawaii. I go and I go to Hawaii and I play golf and I'm more interested in the houses and how much they are. I'm going on Zillow. I'm like, "Oh, look at that place. I like that view. I know what to look for."
Anyway, I'm looking for pigbased bonuses right now. So, we landed on this. Uh hey, I didn't know if you touched it. It went away like that. See that? All right. Pigbased bonuses. Let's get them.
>> Is there a 48 actually on 20 cents is >> Yeah, >> there you go. It's good volatile game.
>> $48 a press. We are yet to get a triple pop on this game. And I believe that is where all of the moola is.
>> Oh, the moola.
>> I believe that we will win. I believe that we will win. I think it's there's a box in the machine and that's where the money is.
>> Adam was telling us about this.
>> I'm going for the question.
>> Oh yeah, we need one of these tough games.
>> How come they didn't expando?
>> I got to show you something about >> always do that >> related to the questions that I've been working on.
>> ASS I don't know how it decides when to expand though.
>> When it expands, when there's a pay, there's one that's just a single block that doesn't expand and ones that do.
>> I believe at least.
>> Oh, the old version works.
>> I want to get one big pig one of these days and get the grand for 114,000.
>> This is weird.
>> You're weird. Well, I that's true, but this is so weird.
>> What's weird?
>> I open the uh the questions.
>> Was it somebody looking to move to Vegas?
>> No.
>> And looking to buy a nice home.
>> They have I have $5 million proof of funds. Can I go out in Vegas Matt's rolls?
>> It's actually this guy's like >> absolutely. I will show you the finest homes.
>> Would Matt like to borrow my sweatshirt is what this one says. No, that's not what it says.
>> Oh, he stole it here. Yeah.
>> Monster meth. He left this four minutes ago. Says, "Love the content, boys.
You're all crushing a question since we were just having this discussion in front of us. It says, "How do you determine what denomination you choose on each game, cents or dollars or whatever, and do you think whatever makes the biggest multi mini minor would be the best, especially on Huff and Puff?" And it's about Huff and Puff.
I had to ask that question. It's a part where we were just discussing.
>> It's actually a good question. I will give that to you. So like W2 has said and you have said like okay cuz I say I'll go with the bigger you know mini or minor but then you say you get it way more often when it's less you know so the minor's 25,000 like it was on that Phoenix link you're very rarely going to get it the minor's a mini's 200 you're going to get more of them and then we also look for like a certain amount like this game EJ said is very volatile so we were looking to do slightly less so on 20 cents we had 48 bucks at 50 cents we 60 bucks and at a dollar we had 80 or 40 and so we opted for 48. That was sort of the thought process on this. What else is there that goes into the thinking?
Yeah, I think this is a question that we get a ton and people seem to think that the denoms and things really matter >> and I will try and explain it in the best possible way so that we can reference this forever more. If you're playing a machine that is or if there's a bank of machines that are the exact same like these two for example, this is Huff and even more puff, right? How we would determine which of these to play is we would look at the progressives up top and whichever one is higher we would play that.
>> Those are very close.
>> They're very close, but the major on the left one is a little higher. So, we'd pick that one because everything about them is the same except for the progressive on one is higher. So, if you are to hit a major when you're playing, you will do a tiny bit better over the course of your gambling career if you always choose the one with the higher progressive jackpots. Am I tracking so far?
>> Yeah. It won't make you a winner. It won't won't go from being a losing player to a winning player, but but you'll lose a little bit less. You'll lose a little, but it doesn't account for what they said about the denial.
>> I know that that's one decision. And then the other decision is >> I would say pick an amount that you want to play per spin within your bankroll and then whenever you have the option, play a higher denom because there's a small chance that that higher denom has a better return to player than the lower denom does. And if you can play it in high limit, play there instead of on the floor. Your experience might be slightly more volatile if you're playing higher denoms because the progressives are higher. So you'll get them less often, but over the long run, you again, you will do slightly better if you play on the higher denom.
>> So I just switch to a higher denom.
>> Yeah. So the return is likely to be >> But we're getting kind of wrecked. So what we could do is do $40.
>> Sure, try it. I was going to say like on this game I'd rather play dollars because it the modern games rate to have higher return of play >> and this is green cuz that means higher denom or higher RTB right?
>> Yeah. Different real set probably. Yeah.
>> And then so yeah then there's only one other thing on games where there is a persistent feature or something that's we just play the bet that has that. So that $5 25 lines on that Phoenix Link had that high counter. So we played that and people would say why don't you change your bet? You're getting wrecked.
Well, if we changed our bet, that persistent feature would go away and it we wouldn't be chasing it anymore.
>> Yeah. Like if you start at when it's at 800, it's versus a,000, you have to move that meter on average >> more to get that free free feature.
>> And I think that those are really the only things that go into it. Other than that, it's push the button, pray for luck.
>> I agree with everything you said, EJ. I just wanted to expand on the part where betting you know the same amount of money on a higher genom is does rate to be a little more volatile. Not only because the mini and miners are bigger but often it'll be fewer lines like on dragon it might be five lines instead of 50. So mathematically does a little better but today you might be like geez >> on 40 it is >> but yeah you're right. So if you want a slightly less volatile experience, you can adjust accordingly, but you have to understand over the long term that you might do a little worse.
>> Yes. Cost you a little more, so to speak.
>> Let's not have this cost us anything.
>> Oh, let's fill in some real estate there.
>> Real estate. Is that real estate?
>> Not real estate.
>> Fill it in.
>> Okay. Bottom left there.
>> Come on, pig.
>> Yes.
>> Going to be good.
>> How do you know?
>> Cuz he understands how to kick.
You're about to see proof of funds right here. Proof of funds.
>> Very good. WG.
>> And we get this at least twice on account of the repeat.
>> Yeah. $1,000 mini appropriately named.
>> Very appropriately.
>> Three or four times.
>> I know. On the bigger values, I feel like you rate you do it three or four.
There we go.
>> All right. Times three.
>> So that's 3,000.
>> Yeah.
>> I like it.
>> You know it's 3,000.
>> Oh, you guys know how the games work.
You understand how the math works?
>> Very good. I think we're winning now.
3080.
>> Wait, what did we come over here with?
>> Uh, like 12,000, I think.
>> Oh, boy. Good thing we want got that.
>> I think it was 113.
>> We're up 2,800. So 85 + 28.
>> Is that right?
>> Yeah.
>> So 95 95 + 28, right?
>> 95 + 18.
>> Oh, I don't understand.
>> I All right. It was like 11. It was 11 something.
>> It was 113.
>> Take it.
>> But yeah, what we're talking about is long-term. So, if you gamble once a week at the end of the year, you will have slightly more money left.
>> I'm not saying you'll have more money than you started with, >> right? And it's all it's fine to believe that this machine is luckier than another one or all of those things. In Vegas, Matt sometimes will say, "Let's switch." Even though we're playing, we always play the machine with a higher progressive, but it's better to just understand that it's all random and luck and makes no difference. Every spin is an independent event. But that's a whole another conversation.
>> Yeah. And if it's more fun, just do what's more fun. Exactly. And don't get carried away with that.
>> No. But I think it's good to keep in mind that the math does play a very big role and it does affect things in the long run. If you really like a side bet with a high house edge, go for it. But keep in mind you're making an expensive wager.
>> I was Go ahead.
>> I say you could take it too far.
>> Is a good bet.
>> You could take it too far. Like I have a friend who like drove 25 miles >> to save $1 on a haircut.
>> He drove across town to save one. He got a coupon in the mail. He drove across town to save $1 on a haircut.
>> Does this guy ever play any poker?
>> Oh, yeah. He plays a lot of poker.
>> Is he uh >> He Yeah, he power he's a power he's a power tool nickname. Yes.
>> Um >> I was I had a conversation I think it was yesterday about somebody who loves to play the 97 Bakarat side bet, the 200 to one. Oh, >> and he was saying how he plays it for $50 every time. I was saying that's essentially playing a slot machine at $50 a spin where there is one payout.
>> Yes.
>> 200 to one. And so like if you understand that and you enjoy that gamble then it's fine. But you have to realize that that is what it is. An 8% house edge with a singular 200 to1 payout. No line pays no nothing.
>> I remember I was telling you WBG I met speaking of friends and I met this guy that wrote the book on Omaha. Did you?
and he wrote like four books on Omaha.
>> He's Yeah, he's a he's a >> city.
>> Very nice guy.
>> And he's got a Now he own now he's in the restaurant business.
>> One more. Oh, >> and he's got a restaurant and a bar and a coffee shop and a rooftop comedy club.
I went to the comedy club, watched a bunch of amateur comedians last night.
>> My good buddy, the shark, Johnny, he was the he was surprising >> one of the realtors that will be involved.
>> Oh, yeah. He was surprisingly great on stage.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, I've been meaning to go. was so he had some funny jokes, man, that he and he and I could tell he's taking it seriously like like he wrote stuff and I could tell that he's been practicing and he um and he was quite quite good and uh there was then there was this other comedian and it was awkward too cuz there was only like 30 people, you know, it's like an open mic type vibe on this rooftop and that's a really tough crowd.
>> And the second guy after Johnny >> kind of died. He did have a couple funny jokes, but I mean there were times where I was like thinking about other things and I mean I was just nodding off and and the whole audience was very quiet.
So then the third guy gets up there and he opens up by just telling goes goes man he goes I got to tell you he goes you guys are the worst audience man. He goes, "You got a bunch of dicks, you know, and and he's like, "And you?" And he started like he's just tearing into this guy in the front row. He's like, "With that look on your face?" He's like, "Can you try laughing, you know?"
And he and and he did it in such a way.
>> Looks like a Greek dude.
>> No, but he he pulled it off like he ripped us up for not being a good enough audience. I was laughing hardick >> and then and I think it was just spur of the moment. And then he went into his other stuff. And the third guy was really good. He was saying he's like man he goes last he goes this being a comedian is hard work cuz last last night I had 500 people I thought I had made it and I come here with you [ __ ] you know sitting there with not even laughing not smiling. Oh there you go.
>> Good set up.
>> Same deal.
So those two on the below it turn blue all the way out.
>> So we catch the blue one. All it really does is give us another spin. And that square is gets the repeat win, right?
>> Yeah.
>> Well, we need something.
>> It is tough to catch them in this game, isn't it?
>> They're slippery.
>> That's bad. Okay.
We get the mini there, you think?
>> Yeah, >> that's huge. It could be good. I mean, >> it just shows that our performance on the last one was bad.
>> That was a complete disaster.
>> Usually only goes one on the little ones.
>> Oh, one more. Nice.
>> Yeah.
>> Wow. One more. I've never seen that many.
>> I have not either.
>> That was awesome.
>> I told you. Very volatile game.
>> Is this a high water mark?
>> Oh, yeah. 3950 for that bonus.
>> Imagine the triple pop. And we've still never gotten.
>> All right. You want to keep firing it away?
>> Yeah.
>> Uh >> I really want to see the triple pop on this, but we can quit if you want.
>> Well, there's a couple other games I had my eyes on today.
>> Did any of them have a maxed out major?
>> That one of them did. And then the other thing I just I just always catches my eye. Such a very pretty machine is the white orchid.
>> Oh, look at that.
>> 430.
>> 430. That looks like a bigger line pay than that to me.
>> White orchid catches your eye, huh?
>> Always. I like your flowers. It makes me think of Hawaii.
>> Well, also that show White Orchid that they filmed in Hawaii was good. I like And then they filmed one in I think Thailand.
But yeah, I mean there is a massively notable difference about you 4 days after staying home. Oh, >> I traveling is a disaster. I love staying home. I wake up, I've got a nice environment, I work out, I do my Tai Chi, get some morning sun >> till he gets restless.
>> But like, yeah, we should do a We talk about this all the time. And I think we're finally actually starting to execute on it. Well, I said no to that other trip like recently and uh >> yeah, I'm just excited. I first >> What about cruises? You're okay with those?
>> I like the cruises. Our first big Vegas event is coming up and a lot of you are coming. You can still come. I think there's still tickets.
Vegasmat.com/events.
We're just kind of squeezing some overflow in there now, but we hit our target. Thank you everybody. But we'd love to have more of you come for the first ever. There's only going to be one first ever Vegas Matt and Friends event.
First officer Eric, will you be there?
>> Well, I'm going to be here for sure.
>> Oh, you are? Are you flying your JetBlue plane in or >> I'm riding the back this time?
>> Ride in the back of the bus.
>> Now, Eric, you seem to be in Vegas a lot. Is that just cuz you're like, "Oh, there's a Vegas trip. I'm taking it."
>> Oh, I just luckily end up here sometimes.
>> It's luck, huh?
>> Oh, yeah. Just a little bit of luck.
Yeah.
>> Do you make more money from your job as a pilot than you do losing gambling?
Like, do you are you net profitable after working and after your gambling?
>> Is that a serious question? What? He has a family just on the Vegas wags. I think he mans, right? Come to Vegas once a week.
>> We do. Okay. Yeah, it's just one pay a couple paychecks. It's fine.
>> There's my paycheck, honey. Oh, okay. I lost a little more than that this week.
It was >> They keep on They keep on sending me to Vegas, those bastards.
>> FO Eric and I have talked about this a lot. He uh he's he's he's pretty sharp with the money. He's got a retirement account, investments.
>> Oh, that should count. How old are you, anyway? 32. Oh, are you see this? Almost the same age as DJ. Yeah.
>> And you're already married with a couple kids, huh?
>> Couple winner.
>> You're moving to Vegas. That was um we weren't trying to have kids until a couple years ago, so that that worked out well.
>> All right. Well, you got to teach EJ how to have kids. I mean, I'm sure he's familiar with the process, but uh >> Well, your kids are pretty cute. They can be honorary grandkids.
>> A lot of people are saying they're some of the best kids. Yeah.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Oh, yeah. They were here, but we were out of town, right?
>> That's correct. Yeah. They're coming back though for the Vegas event. Not.
They're not coming to the event, obviously, but they'll be here.
>> That'll be fun.
>> Good times. All right. You want to play something else?
>> Yeah. As soon as I get one more bonus.
>> I don't know. Yeah. Okay, here it is.
Oh, no.
>> Do you have to get six or can they throw down?
>> They can throw down.
>> Often they do. Oh, are those the two cute kids?
>> What's that guy's name? Cooper.
>> Cooper. Yeah, >> we call him Mini Cooper.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Yeah, he's a cute.
>> They're excited. They're excited to meet the whole group. I know they've met uh they met you, but they haven't met everybody.
>> Wow. They met the best.
>> They're the rest. They're going to be a disappointment.
>> Yeah. Complete disaster. The rest of these guys.
>> Yeah. They're very, very cute. Your wife's really nice, too. I like her.
>> She's great. Oh, yeah.
>> Where'd you meet her? In college.
>> In college? Yeah. Yeah. A friend of mine was dating some other girl and they introduced us.
>> Huh. She's great.
>> She got any friends?
>> She got some friends.
>> Yeah. All right.
>> 113 is even on the game.
>> Oh, yeah.
I feel like we're going to get something here. I don't know why.
>> Maybe not, though. I don't know.
Pickles is a massive at this point.
>> Yeah, that's what I've been trying to get cuz we got that blue thing twice. We need the greeno. Come on.
>> What's going on here?
>> I think fast pins are lucky sometimes.
Not this time. Come on. 10,0004.
Come on, idiot.
Complete disaster.
What an idiot.
>> That was oddly uh satisfying. I enjoyed that.
>> That's what she said. All right. I kind of had a meltdown there trying to get pickles. Jesus, man. I left that fat pickle for somebody else. All right.
This was one of the ones I was looking at. This thing almost always has a maxed out major. And uh but it didn't for a while. Now it does again. So, I'd like to hit that because 10,000 bucks is 10,000 bucks. We're Wait, we're still winning, right?
Yeah, we're up 500 or whatever. 9,500 from on slots. Anyway, uh but we kind of went off our high water mark. We up to about 13 something. So, kind of botched that up, but we'll we'll get it back here. All right. So, do the dollars look like they're the best?
>> If you want to bet 60, but I was just saying 60 is pretty rough on this game and we could easily lose it all.
>> Let's give it a short short leash.
>> We need proof of funds from this machine.
Hey, look. It's a deed to a house.
>> Yeah. Well, I think that >> How much do you think this house goes for?
>> A lot of real estate people are just afraid to ask qualifying questions. Like if someone is sincerely looking for a second home, >> a Nevada residence, uh, you know, a rental income property that they can enjoy when they come to Vegas that generates income when they're not there, or a primary residence in the most beautiful city in the country and they legitimately want to see what's available and they have the money and they want to buy, I'm all for it. But if someone's just like a, you know, wasting your time, I ain't doing it. That's a That seems reasonable, isn't it?
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Yeah. You certainly are not obligated to let someone waste your time.
>> No, but I mean, if someone's a you know, if I mean, hey, if I don't find them in the exact perfect place, then then they don't buy.
>> So, how would you pre-qualify me if I I'm in the market.
>> Well, you just bought one. I mean, I already kind of did. WE TALKED A LOT ABOUT A IDIOT.
>> Come on. Yeah. Well, I uh I went more as an example, not uh actually me.
>> Well, I'd be like, you know, Yeah. What what's your budget? You know, what are you looking for in the house? What's important to you? Do you want a pool? Do you want a condo? Do you want a house?
Do you like, you know, we got to determine Summer Summerland, Henderson, or others to schools?
>> Yeah. I mean, you got kids, all that kind of stuff. You just got to get to know the person and then you get a feel for what they like. You show them a few things. They say, "Oh, I don't really like this. Oh, I really want a view of the strip. Oh, I don't really care about the view. I only care about having a, you know, a jacuzzi tub and a, you know, I whatever the hell they want. You You say, "Okay, I got you. I I'll keep my eyes open." I mean, it doesn't seem like it's that difficult. I'd probably be the best realtor in the history of realtors.
>> I just said, "I'm just too 80 add to take the test." A idiot. We've gotten five twice.
>> It showed us what we got right there.
>> Middle finger.
>> What happened?
>> Or other uh remember that lot that I was looking at?
>> Yeah. Sometimes I wish I would have bought that.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Was that in Southern Highlands or where?
>> No, that was in Henderson.
>> It was Well, it was in uh like Horizon Bridge and Green Valley area.
>> I didn't tell you. And this is something else. I mean, I'm not It's okay. I'll do it kind of in code cuz I don't want to ruin any secrets, but you know, like what you ended up doing, >> I think is a very good choice. And I think it might have gotten better >> because >> Oh. Yeah. Never fails.
The >> secret code. Uh anyway, let's enjoy this.
>> I want to know why it got better.
>> A buddy of mine bought that place.
>> Done >> in the middle. Uh it closes Monday.
>> Hey, >> you know where you work out.
>> I know.
>> How cool is that?
>> Well, you have to tell me more about that after.
>> Yeah. Come on. More extra.
>> Come on, >> Idiot. Crab that early on. A regular size mini though and a $500 ball.
>> I think we're winning on this game though.
>> Oh yeah.
>> I like when the mini is the correct size or bigger.
>> It's no good when it's a micro.
>> All right. Not too shabby. Winning a little bit on this game.
So, you are you going to be borrowing more than shirts? Is there going to be uh slacks involved in this?
>> Oh, look at that.
>> Clothing dealio.
>> No, I think just shirts and sport coats and stuff.
>> Sport coats. You don't wear a sport coat all that often. I was thinking of having like a one day a week where I get like dressed up, you know, and then uh you know, just a different look.
>> Like a dress to impress Thursday or something.
>> Uh yeah, something like that. Yeah.
>> Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh, idiot.
>> Do you remember that book Dress to Impress?
>> I do.
>> Wow.
>> I don't think I read it, but I remember it. Oh, for crying out loud. You get five a lot on this game.
>> You know, you really don't actually.
>> No. Well, we have been.
>> I don't know anything about this book, but from the title, I think I know what the premise is.
>> You think?
>> You do?
>> Yeah. It's about It's about cooking a turkey dinner.
>> Well, I mean, there's something to be said about dressing uh sharp, you know.
I mean, I I like being dressing for comfort, too. Like, I'm, you know, the king of the hoodies. Uh, and they're very comfortable, but, you know, it's not like, you know, you look like a real uh ace, you know, walking around in sweats and a hoodie.
>> Are you to the job interview? Huh? I >> mean, you wouldn't wear a hoodie to a job interview.
>> I mean, you don't see like, you know, you see some billionaire, you know, walking around in a in a hoodie and and jeans, I don't think.
>> Steve Jobs famously dressed pretty casually.
>> Well, a lot of these guys, they dress for simplicity. Like, didn't he always wear the same pants and a black t-shirt just so he didn't have to think about what to wear?
>> Turtleneck. Yeah.
>> I mean, there's something to be said about that.
Well, but also as ZZ Top reminds us, every girl crazy about a sharp dressed man.
>> See, that's you've got a valid point there as well. Anyway, so yeah, I'm going to do like sharp dressed Saturdays.
>> I like it.
>> Yeah, >> I wish people dressed up a little more than they do, especially at the airport.
>> And a couple times that I have dressed up, uh, I've gotten a lot of comments, uh, what do you mean at the airport?
People >> just people are a disaster at the airport a lot of times. Remember when people used to dress up for for flights?
>> What about Walmart?
>> Eric says he dressed up for his flight.
>> Yeah.
>> Well, it's cuz it's so cold on those planes. You have to go in like winter attire.
>> Eric, why are the planes so damn cold all the time? Do you guys realize how cold it is back there?
>> Yeah, we know how cold.
>> Why do you do it?
>> Uh flight attendants ask to keep it cool or it helps to keep people from feeling less sick if we get into turbulence.
>> Um it also helps people just kind of relax. You know, >> they relax when they're freezing. Yeah.
Seems to sleep more.
>> I don't relax. I get pissed off and I >> I don't really see the back of the airplane all that much.
>> Do you have camera?
>> We used to. Not anymore. The bigger airplanes they do on like the, you know, >> back camera for when you're backing up.
>> Otherwise, you have to put your hand over the >> co-pilot sight. You got a sign, you know, stick your hand out the window to turn right.
>> Does Does the stereo stereo in the plane have a removable face face plate?
>> Is there a stereo? Uh, you can listen to AM radio.
>> But you what if Could you like Do you have Bluetooth? Like could you crank tunes through the whole plane if you wanted to?
>> You could put it over the PA system.
Done that before.
>> Huh. Yeah, you should do that.
>> Yeah, I could >> play some AC/DC, you know, just like >> all kinds of different music. Oh, yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> I don't know. That would be cool if you were trying a JetBlue flight and all of a sudden over the PA and just music started cranking.
>> Keep it warmer. Well, just when we fly with you, but I'm not sure we're going to do that very much because of the last time we did it.
>> Last time was great though. You guys won money in Detroit.
>> Yeah, it's true. The pit stop we had to make.
>> It's a fun stop.
>> WBG got Starbucks.
>> Yeah, I know. I missed some of those those egg bites. I think I forgot them.
>> All right. This game is a disaster.
>> Yeah, but we haven't gotten the bonus yet, have we?
>> We did get a bonus. Yes.
>> Oh, yeah. But not the good ones.
>> Oh, idiot.
>> We're going to get it.
>> Yeah. Get the diamonds.
>> 5,000 floor.
>> All right.
I like your tenacity here, Matt. I'm >> That would have been a good one.
>> Yeah. I want to get a I want to get the major. Okay.
>> I can't believe we saw the major. Was that the first time we've even seen it?
>> Yeah, I think so.
>> How many lines are we working with here?
25. All right.
>> Powerful lines.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. I knew it.
>> I knew it.
>> All right. This one.
>> Oh, that's a sand though. They're all small value.
>> No, the 250 is okay. Is this the doors one? I don't think it is.
$200.
A little better.
Diamonds going.
>> Oh, idiot.
Well, that was >> diamonds.
>> All right. 300 bucks. Yay.
>> Five spins.
>> Very strong here. Lots of diamonds.
>> Oh yeah.
>> Oh boy.
>> It's kind of a sando.
>> 1112.
>> Oh.
Is there a new floor now or no? Uh 7,000.
Come on.
Feel bad I lost all that money at the end of that stupid pig game.
>> Oh, with the best fins. But sometimes they're lucky.
>> Oh, yeah. I thought they were going to be.
>> Feels like they're luckier on pop games like that or the firecrackers with the rockets.
Yeah, the rockets game. The fast spins are really lucky.
>> All right, the mighty 490.
>> Oh, idiot.
>> You need three of those.
>> See, that should have been a >> Were you trying to recut the gem there?
>> Yeah.
>> What was that movie, Uncut Gems? Yeah, >> that was like a a first like Adam Sandler in a serious role.
>> Gambling movie, too.
>> Yeah.
>> A sports gambling addiction, right?
>> Oh, yeah. He was worse than us, >> if that's possible.
>> There were some suspect parlays in there. I don't know any books that would let you parlay some of the stuff he parlayed.
>> I want to bet on the Masters.
>> Nice job.
>> That was good.
I never went.
>> He was in a movie called Hustle as well in a more serious role.
>> Does he like gambling?
>> Adam Sandler. Yeah. Also, Punch Drunk Love was a great film. Not Not gambling related, but great film.
>> I mean, he's just a great actor. I don't think there's any question about that.
>> If he ever comes to Vegas and he he should fire it in there with us.
>> Yeah, I'll let him know.
>> All right. Out of it.
>> All right. Out of it. All right. Booking a win. 6,000 off the high water mark, but you know what? 7,000 bucks or 7,000 bucks. Like I always used to say, look, says Vegas mat subtly on the sleeve. If you're a golfer, you know, you should fire one of these in there.
>> Shane right there.
>> What if I want to buy a golf course uh property? Can you help me with that?
>> You know, I live on a beautiful golf course uh 17th hole. There's some excellent houses in my neighborhood available.
uh you know cuz you got to you got to you got to know you know who's selling and you got to understand the whole market. I used to be on the HOA board.
I'm very familiar with who's in a rears on their on their payments. I got you.
All right. Anyway, that's a fun little uh distraction. But uh I'm serious too by the way. So anyone who wants the second home, first home info at vegasmat.com. I got you. All right. And if you want a shirt, vegasmat.com. Our sponsor. Any other announcements, EJ, that we should fire in here?
>> That's it. Oh, a $110,000 giveaway in the pinned comment.
>> That's it. That ends at the end of April. So, if you go right here to this this thing, what's it called again? A QR code. You just take your phone, take a picture of that uh or screenshot it, then click on it, uh it'll take you right to a site where you can play table games and slots on your phone or at home for free or for valuable prizes. And uh what else? and win $110,000 or 10,000 10 $10,000 prizes, two $5,000 prizes. All the details are in the pin comment and so forth and so on. So yeah, hey, I like giving away money.
