Wild Platypus Spotted! Brits React to Australia's Strangest Animal

[00:00:00]I didn't catch it that's probably gone now honestly no way good morning everybody and the day today is Monday still recovering after Australia won last night against Turkey that was a fantastic match probably my favourite match so far of the World Cup yes we've watched a couple more this morning done a bit of work got the vlog uploaded and now we're off out to the next spot so come on let's go get some food and that spot that we're starting at is brown rice in perigian let's go get some sushi order collected now let's head back to the car and find a spot to eat it we've arrived now at the little park for a spot to eat it is literally a spot to eat and we're gonna have a spot to eat look at all the little duckers time for sushi in a little pinch little pinch park bench pinch I like it there's our little spot anyway the little poochums I'll tie the pooches off and then time for food and what a spot to come to with the sushi plated up yes please udon noodle soup little bao bun and look at that for a view not too bad after a day locked in doors working and watching World Cup matches I forget what the outside world looks like we say locked in doors like it's been forced upon us we have decided well yeah that's definitely true but and we have been enjoying it yeah well I mean the the work and the vlog upload that we've been doing that bit I could do without that being honest that if it was the World Cup only any day yes please but nice little relax I think after this it's back to the house couple more World Cup matches as we finish up work for the day and then after that hmm who knows probably just chill out watch series so you might not see that you'll probably just see us tomorrow to be honest we'll see what we capture oh look at this little guy wow what's the name of these Joe do we know I don't know whether it's a Heron I don't think it is I think it is a Heron it looks a little bit different if anybody knows in the comments below what this is exactly the exact name what a beautiful bird and we've just done the loop of this beautiful park and I think we've got a cormorant right here let's have a zoom in and enhance on him oh he looks like a penguin from here he does with my eyes anyway back home now and I'm preparing to make us a traditional English style cheese and onion pie so this is usually done with vintage cheddar and Lancashire cheese but I couldn't get any Lancashire cheese in Woolies so I've just got doubled up on the English um vintage cream onion cheese inside served with mashed potato and uh broccoli I'm gonna do Joe a cheese sauce and I'm gonna have gravy so I'll bring you along and you can see how we make our homemade cheese and onion pie alright so I've got my mixture cooking we've got somebody coming having a look over the chef station tonight well can I do anything for you freak me now as you can see before guys I'm gonna be honest I didn't make my pastry cause I do think it's a little bit of wasted time unless you are really good at making pastry it's really hard so I actually just got mine from the supermarket frozen roll it out so much easier and my mixture's cooking that's gonna go in there in my mixture all I've got is the vintage cheese onion garlic cooking cream loads of salt and pepper including white pepper that's the secret got a little grumbler down there that all gets mixed on the hob and it makes the the cheese filling and then obviously I'm gonna just carry on stretching this out pop that in pop the mixture in and we're looking good and just like that voila the pie is made I did leave it in a little bit longer than expected but that is totally OK Joe prefers a cheese sauce I prefer a gravy so I've done both options for the two of us I've got my Mister Masher over here how is it looking is it coming along well it's like a Patty my sous chef well that's not good squish squish I am so excited for this tea it's gonna be amazing or dinner we call it tea but dinner tea dinner whatever you wanna call it and just like that Cody has served up one of my favourite teas and that looks absolutely delicious and before you said oh we call it tea I know some Aussies watching probably do call it tea as well yeah they do don't yeah I know people from New Zealand do as well don't they which is really weird cause people from down south in England wouldn't but northerners people from northern England would call it tea so you travel all the way around the world and some people say the same thing as you what that one out but enough rambling time to eat no the question is who are you are you cheese or are you gravy I know which one looks right it's now the next morning and we are on location for another shoot so we're gonna go and do this and then we'll catch up with you afterwards seems to be a consistent thing that we're always on shoots but now you realise what we do and just like that a two hour content session wrapped up now I think we head back and go and grab the doggies I think we need a walk I think I need a bite or maybe a coffee I love this job he he he oh we need to catch up on the football as well so let's get going with that well as Joe mentioned we've wrapped up the shoot we've come to the Sunshine Plaza and we're gonna get an Australian Jersey shirt because knows the time Jersey shirt we don't wanna look like glory hunters do it that when like you know they start winning but we did actually wanna get one I did want one before before the match and we're like right before they all sell out let's go and get one are they called like just like a football shirt isn't it but what soccer rules shirt yeah soccer shirt soccer rules shirt whatever you wanna call it but to our favourite shopping centre the Sunshine Plaza and we've come right into rebel and it's good to see them using football and not soccer Aussies that call it soccer you don't know what you're talking about no we're looking for the Socceroo shirt I'm surprised they weren't at the front of the shop to be honest but they weren't come on last season shirt on on offer now oh you're probably gonna need a large I imagine you going for it yeah I think I will think I'm gonna get one yeah I think so cause I was waiting for him to come down in price yeah and it's the only large it's like it's meant to be unless you want me like trying to hold in my breath every time I put it on probably best I get this that team Aaron Conder on the break he's incredible it'll be good to see it'll be good if we can get you know get right in there but I don't know if we can get around the 16 it's so that's when you start knocking all the good ones out fingers crossed for us yeah fingers crossed I'll be cheering us on all the way have a good one mate have a good one I think this is meant to be there's a woman's 8 and there's only this many Australia shirts left Socceroo shirt so I think I'm gonna have to get this one and you get United one think that's gonna be the best way to do it I think I think that's what I'm gonna have to do yeah I would love a little Socceroo shirt I would keep our eyes on maybe online we'll have a look online yeah we'll see we'll see oh there's a couple more rebels maybe there'll be one in there yeah like I said I would love one but that nobody's too much of a squeeze I think I think if I as soon as I buy one of them that'll be a bad omen the team will lose how crazy is that Cody's managed to get one and they said the nearest one for us to get a large for me would be toowomba are you that committed I'm not committed are you ready for a drive I'm ready to go to toowomba we're not going oh Cody doesn't let me Cody's got hers so she's fine I guess but on the upside I got united's Jersey from last season you wanted that one for so yeah that's not that's good oh I say a Jersey I'm saying that for the audience shirt I got United shirt from last season so that's a win and we jumped in the car and literally the sky is still blue but the rain is coming down we have a joke that it always seems to do this when Joe is driving I've got some new earrings as well I'm gonna pop these in I think we're gonna get home maybe get a little I don't know little sandwich little roll at home and then take the dogs out for a walk not yet though yeah maybe not yet good morning and we start our day out in Cotton Tree on the hunt for a coffee and walking the pooches little Gremlin is ready look he's not waiting for anybody away he goes but a gorgeous day and coffees are waiting let's see where we go okay so a huge time jump we're now in Maleny as we set off on a little bit of a walk and Evie had a little bit of sick so we're a bit concerned and we've actually headed up to Maleny and checked her out at the vets to make sure that she's okay the good thing is the vet's done a check over of her and said that she might have a little bit of an upset stomach and give us some stuff to get her sorted so all is well it was a little bit crazy we just we were in Cotton Tree and the next thing we're now in Maleny and it's been like two hours but the most important thing is that Evie is all good and it's her last day today she goes home tomorrow that's what we were so concerned we were so worried her mum and dad are on a flight literally from the UK right now so we were like oh no what do we do so yeah we met Shannon Shannon's not working today so yes I think we're gonna go and what jump on the high street now go get a coffee and a little coffee for anybody who doesn't know Shannon is the son in law of the owners of Evie so yeah we're all sorted we've come to a cafe on the high street and honestly we end up having the same debate every single time we're Shannon about Bunnings Banny butter butter they finally say it correctly no that's not true it's bunny bunnings butter just cause you beat Turkey just cause you beat Turkey just cause you beat Turkey you think you're all that now don't you we've brought Evie into a familiar shop that she comes in a lot with her mum and dad you can tell she usually gets treats she's like sitting there waiting come on well Shannon's just on the phone to Holly I think we're going over to theirs for dinner tonight I think we are we got a lift that will be nice I'm just glad he's well I know yeah she's all good now she's a she is good now to herself yeah yeah no it's my turn ha ha ha ha for some sympathy ha ha George just said there's a platypus right here now we've never actually seen one I didn't catch it that's probably gone now I can see the ripples that's usually a sign like take joking I can see it burrowing like not burrowing but like is he gonna come is he gonna come back up do you reckon so you'd be like wading through the bottom of the MUD like the the silk at the bottom for like little scavengers oh my God we got a really good but you can see where the MUD's moving so you can see what there there there there he is again oh my God first time for you as well yeah that's amazing you get him down in New South Wales but yeah yeah you've just never seen one just never seen one they're so elusive though that's another one ticked off the list Woohoo I've never seen one and to be with an Aussie who's never seen one that's even cooler I know would you say the name platypus platypus platypus yeah it's kind kind of similar not like Bunnings Bunnings Bunny rabbit that time you say it correctly literally we did we spent a whole day once all the way until it went dark on a vlog and we never saw one and then we've just seen one in like on a whim casually bloody losers do you do anything better with your time are you that sad yes Shannon yes how incredible is that guys he's just got there he is there he is he keeps diving under oh my God so cool to see film it I don't know I don't think anything has gone on them we've just seen the platypus be aware for anybody watching we've wanted to see a platypus for like two years and then we've seen it on a whim with no plans like if if Evie didn't if Evie wasn't sick we wouldn't have thank you Evie thank you Evie girl yeah we spent 16 hours I think trying to see him last time but we've seen him I'm the come to Holly and Shannon's for dinner Holly's been nice enough to this chips on it that's what is going on crazy that looks like something that's been scraped up off the roll are you feeling good are you feeling good yeah so and after a game me and Shannon played as Bowser the other two were computer and that is Holly and Cody who wins come on Bowser yes come on loser we had the whole game all the way through two losers you saved it at the end two losers you guys suck and look who won how cute is this by the way we've got the two little pooches chilling and then you just chewing here as well Harry Kane taking his first penalty come on I feel like he's gonna sky it he's not he's got it he's got it come on okay he missed it oh no he's missed it oh just to explain for the viewers Harry Kane's retaking the penalty cause the goalkeeper stepped off the line which is illegal and we've got my mum on Facetime hi mum but my mum's like 20 seconds ahead so she's poker facing right Harry Kane again come on yeah hahaha yeah come on that was cheeky you did very well then you did super good very hahaha and just like that England have won 4 2 4 2 I did 4 2 then as you can see I'm struggling to count I'm not usually up at 5 o'clock in the morning too watch football especially when I went to bed at about 1:00 last night so it was worth it though oh it was it was a very good game exciting stuff The World Cup feels like it started now a little bit for us cause our teams are actually playing I thought they weren't in it for the longest time no today is actually a bigger day as we're going dropping Evie off back with her mum and dad and they've been away for five weeks they have so they've just landed so we need to get her back home now let's go come on guys come on guys let's go you gonna see your mum and dad come on Evie dog Evie come on go see mum and dad come on let's go and just like that a couple of hours have passed and Evie is now back home with her mum and dad but we didn't film any of it as the reunion was outside the house and it feels a bit wrong putting the house up all over the internet but the reunion was lovely she's all back and safe and now we're in sippy downs and we're gonna go for a little bite to eat so let's see where we go for a nibble and as we're trying to decide where to go gotta say that little patisserie looks fantastic we'll have to go and check that place out looks really good yours got right into food looking really really good udon noodle soup yeah you always looking good honey and PICO of course I must say it was an early start for us watching England this morning and we're with us working nights we're not used to we're not used to we're not used to getting up early and I am shattered today I'm feeling it how good's this vlog though in this vlog we've seen a platypus we have you know it's been England England winning show too much of that but that was amazing it's just been such a good it's been such a good like you said it's just like a Monday to Thursday you do sometimes these vlogs help us realize as well everything that's happened in a week and how much good stuff happens cause you can forget you can these little things and I think we still need to get better at filming bits as well we do we definitely we forget that stuff so bear with us peeps but I hope you're enjoying the adventure but how good was it watching the match with my mum oh that this morning was so cute I managed to get that little clip didn't I yeah that was so lovely she was loving it as well she was wasn't she it's so fun so fun and just like that we're back home from enjoying our sushi we actually came home had showers relaxed for a bit did a bit of work had some dinner we've actually just had some fantastic tuna steaks actually they were really good and then we've got a little bit more work to do before we head to bed tonight but this is where I actually gonna wrap up this video guys I hope that you have enjoyed this one
