This video features Tyler and Mitch, Star Wars fans, critically analyzing the upcoming Star Wars movie directed by Dave Filoni. They express skepticism about the film's premise, comparing it to a 'Star Wars baby movie' similar to Muppet Babies, and question whether the trailer adequately builds the cinematic experience expected from Star Wars films. The hosts discuss how the trailer's brief runtime and perceived lack of depth may not meet audience expectations, noting that even the worst Star Wars films like Attack of the Clones provided more substantial narrative structure. They also critique the film's derivative nature, suggesting it lacks the originality that made previous Star Wars content successful.

The Mandalorian Looks Bad追加:
Hello, welcome to the home front where we keep everything objectively subjective. I'm Tyler, your host, and tomorrow I have as always is Mitch, my overly artistic friend.
Almost mispronounced that.
Uh okay, so we I would say I'm we're big Star Wars fans here.
Specifically Mitch.
>> [laughter] >> We have reviewed a couple of the things, specifically the sequel trilogy, some of the shows. Some of the ones we tried to watch at least.
Andor, big fans. We did Rogue One.
New movie's coming out by Filoni.
Big Big fan of Filoni here.
>> Which we've covered multiple times, so let's cover it again. Shall we? Because I haven't been tortured enough.
>> It's almost out. Let's see if this brings any more hope, shall we? Yeah.
This is getting more and more This is getting more and more interesting as it develops.
It does [music] not seem like Disney has a lot of faith in this meeting.
Well, yeah, but >> bounty hunter. You had seemed to think it would be a huge hit, and now I'm really starting to question if that's going to be true.
>> war criminals.
I'll take out every bad guy in your deck of cards.
>> there's a big audience that's going to go see this.
This isn't about revenge. It's about preventing another war.
Okay.
I see Sigourney Weaver in this.
Before going But she's in sci-fi movies.
Check your armor first.
We're protecting everything the Rebellion fought for. Oh my god. Good luck. It's really weird to see Star Wars now converted into like the show and then back into this.
Strap in. Like marketing plays like that.
>> They destroyed the Razor Crest. All All sure.
What's the razor crest [music] fish chip? We need a professional. Oh, hang on.
Oh, that looked weird.
>> when you're not there to protect him?
You good?
I'll be right behind you.
Go.
Go.
Mandalorian, you will suffer.
Then it will be his turn. Monsters.
There's two Jawas.
Huts.
Jabba's dead.
Okay.
Protect the old.
I I am not saying anything interesting in this trailer.
It's five Star Wars minutes. Yeah. Okay.
Oh, somebody got backed. I got to say.
You should be. Oh.
Good job, baby.
Oh, is that Babu Frik? I think I think we should make [music] a movie about Babu Frik and his family. That's it.
Well, that's what you're going to get out of this movie.
Ugh.
All right.
So, the corporatism to the max, we get that. Yeah. Don't like.
This looks stupid.
So, let's talk about how well we think this will actually perform though.
Because I'm hearing some people not like the It's getting some some heat.
Though not so much in the trailer.
Got 10,000 down votes, 80,000 up votes.
So.
>> Now, this is a trailer. Haha. Still miss you, Carl Weathers. [laughter] The wait then.
20 seconds y'all had the opportunity to drop it the week of May 4th.
Oh, that's a great point. actually agree with that, man.
Somehow the Razor Crest has returned.
All right, that's funny. That's good.
Being a Star Wars trailer 10 seconds after Oh, okay.
It's more cinematic than the other ones.
It's weird because it's taking this very kind of below-level premise and trying to elevate it really high. Yeah. So, it's not like usually when you see a Star Wars movie like even the worst Star Wars films like Attack of the Clones, which I love, by the way. That's a terrible [laughter] movie, but I love it. But that movie is like at very least you go into it and you have this long slow burn and espionage and then it just blows up at the end and you've got like all the Jedis like slashing around >> Yeah. and then you come out of that theater being like, "Whoa." Yeah. Good to see Yoda fight for the first time with Dooku. Right.
>> Big old battle with the droids. Which was visually stunning, especially for its time. Yeah.
>> Like you had all kinds of stuff. Yeah, you came out hyped.
This can't do any of that.
So, even in the worst of states >> Well, well, no. Grogu might say his first words.
>> [laughter] >> Maybe.
That's what we're really here for.
>> [laughter] >> It's kind of like um you know the the Muppets and how the Muppets have like a baby version and there was that show with the babies. It's kind of like if they made instead of like like they make the Muppet movies, but then they make a Muppet Baby movie. And so, it's all the baby Muppets >> Wars baby movie. That's [laughter] what it is, yeah. It's a Star Wars baby movie.
>> Yeah, Babu Frik and his family with your Baby Yoda. I don't care. I don't care what you guys call him. He's he's Baby Yoda. He will always be Baby Yoda. He's not Grogu. It's a stupid name.
Yeah, I Oh, boy. I can't take this seriously. I really can't. I There's There there anything in there that looked like oh okay, that might be interesting.
It really looked like just something that was like oh this is something I'd take my kids to.
Yeah, that's what it is. And it none of us have to use our brains while we're watching it.
Yeah, and I guess that's the shame of it cuz like Star Wars used to have a broader appeal and this seems really narrow.
But I mean people seem interested.
I guess they'll go see it. I mean it doesn't seem like it's as bad as like you know some of the other things they've done like the Acolyte or the Book of Boba Fett some of the other unmentionables.
>> [laughter] >> Those were those were the two worst unmentionables. I can't believe I said them out loud. Yeah, Obi-Wan was up there too. Oh yeah, that was pretty bad.
And I got to say I I never liked Mandalorian. I know there's a big fan base for season 1 and 2 but I did not like those shows.
I thought they were so weak so derivative.
So to make a whole movie based off that premise is like you really have nothing else?
Well, you know [clears throat] in an alternate reality they would have released this movie at the time of Rogue One and Rogue One would have been delayed. Okay.
>> And then what would have happened is they would have released Andor and and this would have been good because then people would have seen this movie and been like oh what is this? Mhm. And then they would have seen Last Jedi and been like oh this is horrible. And they would have caught on a little faster of how bad things were getting.
And then when the Andor show came out as the first Star Wars show is like this is good. Then that could have >> lot of this going on. That could have had like the five season run Mhm. and then it could have come out with Rogue One now.
And then we would have been like this is interesting. Andor was good. Let's see this. Then we all go see this and then Disney goes this is what works and then Rogue One would have been a better movie because it would have had more time.
So this alternate there is another reality in which people are going out to see Rogue One in a few weeks and just loving it up.
>> [laughter] >> Why you got to depress me like this?
We don't have to be >> not our reality.
>> terrible.
>> [laughter] >> Thanks for reminding me.
Uh, anyway, for those of our audience that want to see this, let us know why.
Tell me why I'm wrong.
Tell me why Filoni is this great savior.
He's not.
He is as bad as Kennedy. Say it now. Say it on the show. He sucks.
Anything else? Well, he's not good.
>> [laughter] >> No, bro, I'm good. Okay. Thanks for watching.
>> [music] [music] >> So you made it to the end of the video.
